| 1 | Characterization of nanoscale iron and its degradation of 2,4-dichlorophenol显示文摘Nanoscale iron was detected by TEM, X-ray diffraction and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. It was found that the size of the nanoscale iron particles is in the range of 30?40 nm according to TEM image, and it contains abundant Fe3O4 as passivating layers on the surface of the core-shell structure. To improve its performance, dilute HCl was used for the removal of the passivating layers, and the degradation of 2,4-dichlorophenol (2,4-DCP) was measured for the nanoscale iron samples treated and untreated. Experimental results demonstrated that the removal of 2,4-DCP by untreated nanoscale iron is mainly due to the adsorption of 2, 4-DCP by nanoscale iron, and there are no degradation products detected by HPLC in the process. However, excellent dechlorination of 2,4-DCP was gained by HCl-treated nanoscale iron, and 2-chlorophenol, 4-chlorophenol and phenol were detected during the process. | 2 | High-sensitivity, high-spatial-resolution distributed strain sensing based on a poly(methyl methacrylate) chirped fiber Bragg grating显示文摘In this study,a high-sensitivity,high-spatial-resolution distributed strain-sensing approach based on a poly(methyl methacrylate)chirped fiber Bragg grating(CFBG)is proposed and experimentally demonstrated.Linearly chirped FBGs in a polymer optical fiber provide an alternative to the silica fiber owing to the lower Young’s modulus,which can yield a higher stress sensitivity under the same external force.According to the spatial wavelength-encoded characteristic of the CFBG,a fully distributed strain measurement can be achieved by optical frequency-domain reflectometry.Through time-/space-resolved short-time Fourier transform,the applied force can be located by the beat frequency originated from the space-induced time delay and measured by the differential frequency offset originated from the strain-induced dispersion time delay.In a proof-of-concept experiment,a high spatial resolution of 1 mm over a gauge length of 40 mm and a strain resolution of 0.491 Hz/μεwere achieved. | Chengang Lyu Ziqi Liu Ziqiang Huo Chunfeng Ge Xin Cheng Haw-Yaw Tam | 2020 | Photonics Research2020,8,7: | 2 |
| 3 | Molecular characteristics of S-RNase alleles as the determ inant of self-i ncompatibility in the style of Fragaria viridi显示文摘Strawberry(Fragaria spp.)is a member of the Rosoideae subfamily in the family Rosaceae.The self-incompatibility(SI)of some diploid species is a key agronomic trait that acts as a basic pollination barrier;however,the genetic mechanism underlying SI control in strawberry remains unclear.Two candidate S-RNases(S a-and S^-RNase)identi fi ed in the transcriptome of the styles of the self-incompatible Fragaria viridis 42 were con fi rmed to be SI determinants at the S locus following genotype identi fi cation and intraspeci fi c hybridization using sel fi ng progenies.Whole-genome collinearity and RNase T2 family analysis revealed that only an S locus exists in Fragaria;however,none of the compatible species contained S-RNase.Although the results of interspeci fi c hybridization experiments showed that F.viridis(SI)styles could accept pollen from F.mandshurica(self-compatible),the reciprocal cross was incompatible.S a and S b-RNase contain large introns,and their noncoding sequences(promotors and introns)can be transcribed into long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs).Overall,the genus Fragaria exhibits S-RNase-based gametophytic SI,and S-RNase loss occurs at the S locus of compatible germplasms.In addition,a type of SI-independent unilateral incompatibility exists between compatible and incompatible Fragaria species.Furthermore,the large introns and neighboring lncRNAs in S-RNase in Fragaria could offer clues about S-RNase expression strategies. | Jianke Du Chunfeng Ge Tingting Li Sanhong Wang Zhihong Gao Hidenori Sassa Yushan Qiao | 2021 | Horticulture Research2021,8,1: | 1 |

| 7 | Genetic factors associated with non-motor symptoms in Parkinson’s disease显示文摘Parkinson’s disease (PD) is the second most common neurodegenerative disorder after Alzheimer’s disease. It is a complex syndrome with heterogeneous aetiologies, pathogenesis and manifestations. Patients with PD may present with motor symptoms and various non-motor symptoms (NMSs). NMSs have been reported in almost every diagnosed case of PD and usually precede motor symptoms. Multiple factors have been proved to be associated with the occurrence of NMSs in PD, among which genetic differentiation is a featured one. With the development of sequencing techniques, an increasing number of NMS-related genetic factors have been identified. | 8 | HMIBase: An Hierarchical Indexing System for Storing and Querying Big Data显示文摘Relational database management systems are usually deployed on single-node machines and have strict limitations in terms of da-ta structure. This means they do not work well with big data, and No SQL has been proposed as a solution. To make data queryingmore efficient, indexes and memory cache techniques are used in No SQL databases. In this paper, we propose a hierarchical in-dexing mechanism and a prototype distributed data-storage system, called HMIBase, which has hierarchical indexes for non-prima-ry keys in tables and makes data querying more efficient. HMIBase uses HBase as the lower data storage and creates a memorycache for more efficient data transmission. HMIBase supports coprocessor-to-process update requests. It also provides a client withquery and update APIs and a server to support RPCs from the client and finish jobs. To improve the cache hit ratio, we propose amemory cache replacement strategy, called Hot Score algorithm, in HMIBase.
