1Reconstructing the extraordinary palaeoflood events during 3200-2800 a BP in the upper reaches of Hanjiang River Valley, China显示文摘Palaeoflood hydrology study is a leading subject in global change study. Through field investigation in the upper reaches of Hanjiang River, palaeoflood slackwater deposits(SWD) were found in the bedrock gorges of the Yunxi reach. The results of field observation, laboratory analysis including particle-size distribution and magnetic susceptibility, and comparison with modern flood deposits, the SWD were identified as the most typical Holocene palaeoflood deposits of the Hanjiang River. By using stratigraphic correlation and OSL dating method, the palaeoflood event was dated to be 3200–2800 a BP at the turn from the middle to late Holocene. According to the palaeoflood peak stage and hydraulic parameters, the peak discharges of the palaeoflood were reconstructed as 48,830–51,710 m3/s by using the slope-area method. At same time, the flood peak discharges of 1983, 2005 and 2010 severe floods were reconstructed with the same method and hydraulic parameters in the same cross section. The error between the reconstructed and gauged discharges was 1.99%–4.21%. This showed that the reconstructed palaeoflood peak discharges were reliable. The flood peak discharge-frequency relationship at 10,000-year time scale was established by a combination of the gauged flood, historical flood and palaeoflood hydrological data. 2Geochemical characterization of loess-paleosol sequences:Comparison between the upper reaches of the Hanjiang and Weihe river valleys,China显示文摘This paper aims to compare the geochemical characteristics of loess-paleosol sequences in the upper reaches of the Hanjiang and Weihe river valleyswhich are located in the semi-humid temperate zone and humid subtropical zonerespectively. The Mituosi(MTS) profile in the upper reaches of the Hanjiang River valley and the Yaohecun(YHC) profile in the Weihe River valley were selected for this comparative research. The stratigraphic characteristicscompositionchemical weathering intensityleaching rates of Ca and Namobility of major elementsand transport features of Na and Fe were analyzed with respect to depth and compared between the two profiles. This study reached the following conclusions.(1) The composition of the loess-paleosol sequences in two regions are quite similar to the average composition of the upper continental crust(UCC)indicating that the loess in the two regions came from multiple sources and was mixed well. Thereforethe loess in the two regions is considered aeolian loess.(2) Compared with the loess-paleosol sequence in the Weihe River valleythe loess-paleosol sequence in the upper reaches of the Hanjiang River valley features a darker color; a higher chemical index of alteration(CIA) value; higher leaching rates of Na and Ca; higher migration ratio(relative to K) of AlSiMgand Na; and lower migration ratio of Fe and Ca. This evidence indicates that the loess-paleosol sequence in the humid subtropical environment experienced stronger chemical weathering intensity than the loess-paleosol sequence in the semi-humid temperate zone.(3) Both the YHC profile and MTS profile record a period of climate deterioration at 6000–5000 a BP. 5Research on the risk-based model for regional emergency resource allocation for ship-source oil spill显示文摘The key point for rational allocation of emergency resources is to match the oil spill response capacity with the risk of oil spill. This paper proposes an innovative risk-based model for quantitative regional emergency resource allocation, which comprehensively analyzes the factors such as oil spill probability, hazard consequences, oil properties, weathering process and operation efficiency, etc. The model calculates three major resources, i.e.,mechanical recovery, dispersion and absorption, according to the results of risk assessment. In a field application in Xiaohu Port, Guangzhou, China, and the model achieved scientific and rational allocation of emergency resources by matching the assessed risk with the regional capacity, and allocating emergency resources according to capability target. 6Addressing the strength-ductility trade-off in a cast Al-Li-Cu alloy—Synergistic effect of Sc-alloying and optimized artificial ageing scheme显示文摘A dramatic improvement of strength and ductility of cast Al-2.5Li-1.5Cu-1Zn-0.5Mg-0.15 Zr alloy was obtained by the collaboration of Sc-alloying and optimized ageing scheme.Joint and independent influence of Sc-alloying and different ageing temperatures were investigated.The results revealed that a substantial increase was realized in the hardness of Sc-containing alloy,and the ageing response time was only influenced by ageing temperature.Coarse and heterogeneousδ'(Al_(3)Li),wideδ'-precipitation free zones(δ'-PFZs),and a large amount of T_(1)(Al_(2)CuLi)precipitates were observed in Sc-containing alloy aged at 175℃,which resulted in superior yield strength and poor elongation.The Sc-containing alloy obtained an excellent combination of ductility(elongation=8.2%)and tensile strength(ultimate strength=565 MPa)suffered to 150℃ ageing for 64 h.The increase in the elongation was mainly due to the combined effect of grain refining,much finerδ',and extremely narrowδ'-PFZs(<10 nm),while the higher strength was mainly attributed to the formation of Al_(3)(Sc,Zr,Li)composite particles and a large amount of S'(Al_(2)CuMg)phase.However,the enhancement of the different ageing temperature(150℃ and 175℃)on the mechanical properties of the alloys without Sc addition was not obvious.Jinshuo Zhang Guohua Wu Liang Zhang Xiaolong Zhang Chunchang Shi Xin Tong 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,1:2

8Mensuration of microstructure multi-fractal spectra of calcined limestone particle surfaces显示文摘The microstructure of the surface of a calcined limestone particle is multi-fractal.We develop an analytic method that surveys the boundary curve multi-fractal dimensions with SEM,gets a three-dimensional surface structureα-f(α)curve via zero-sets,and finally calculates the multi-fractal spectrum values of the particle surface's microstructural topography.After analyzing two spectra from limestone particles calcined at 850℃ and 900℃,it was shown that the microstructural topographies of the surfaces of calcined limestone multi-particle system have some degree of self-similarity.This mensuration method is proposed to describe the multi-fractal characteristics of a micro-scale particle's surface topography.Jianyu Shang Songling Wang Chunbo Wang Chunchang Song 2010Particuology2010,8,5:2

15Effect of Different Ageing Processes on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Cast Al–3Li–2Cu–0.2Zr Alloy显示文摘The effect of different ageing processes on microstructure and mechanical properties of cast Al–3 Li–2 Cu–0.2 Zr alloy was investigated using transmission electron microscopy and tensile tests. The results showed that the mean size of δ′-Al3 Li particles and the number density of Cu-rich precipitates both increased with increasing ageing temperature from 150 to 190 °C for 24 h, resulting in increasingly high strength. In contrast, the ductility deteriorated with the increase in ageing temperature as a result of the intensified planar slip. The duplex low-to-high ageing treatment(120 °C for 6 h followed by 160 °C for 24 h) was shown to be beneficial to the ductility compared with the corresponding single-stage ageing treatment(160 °C for 24 h).
