| 3 | Group VB transition metal dichalcogenides for oxygen reduction reaction and strain-enhanced activity governed by p-orbital electrons of chalcogen显示文摘Developi ng alter native oxyge n reducti on reactio n (ORR) catalysts to replace precious Pt-based metals with abundant materials is the key challe nge of commercial application of fuel cells. Owing to their various compositi ons and tun able electronic properties, transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) have the great potential to realize high-efficiency catalysts for ORR. Here, various 3R-phase dichalcogenides of group VB and VIB transition metals (MX2, M = Nb, Ta, Mo, W;X = S, Se, Te) are investigated for ORR catalysts by using density functional theory calculations. The computed over-potentials of group VB TMDs are much less than those of group VIB TMDs. For group VB TMDs, a volcano-type plot of ORR catalytic activity is established on the adsorption energies of *OH, and NbS2 and TaTe2 exhibit best ORR activity with an oveepotential of 0.54 V. To achieve even better activity, strain engineering is performed to tune ORR catalytic activity, and the minimum over-potential of 0.43 V can be realized. | 4 | Experimental Study on Anti-adjuvant Arthritis in Rats of Kadsura coccinea显示文摘[Objectives] To investigate the therapeutic effect of Kadsura coccinea on adjuvant arthritis( AA) rats and its mechanism from cytokine levels. [Methods] The complete Freund's adjuvant( CFA)-induced AA model of rats was used. The therapeutic effect of K. coccinea on AA rats was evaluated by the articular swelling,arthritis score,immune organ index and hematoxylin-eosin( HE) staining. The content of inflammatory factors TNF-α,IL-6,and IL-1β in the serum of AA rats was detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay( ELISA) respectively. [Results]Compared with the model group,the total extract of K. coccinea( KCTE) could significantly inhibit the primary and secondary articular swelling of AA rats,lower the arthritis score and immune organ index,and improve the pathological state of ankles of AA rats. In the groups with a high and middle dosage of KCTE( KCTE-H and KCTE-M),KCTE could significantly reduce the content of TNF-α and IL-6 in the serum of rats,exhibiting a certain dose-effect relationship. | 7 | Few-layer Ti3C2Tx MXene delaminated via flash freezing for high-rate electrochemical capacitive energy storage显示文摘Few-layer Ti3C2Tx MXene is synthesized from multi-layered Ti3C2Tx via a flash freezing-assisted delamination process.During the flash freezing process,the water molecules in the interlayers of multi-layered MXene are induced to rearrange and produce volume expansion,thus notably expand the MXenes’interlayer distance to form few-layer MXene.The synthesized few-layer Ti3C2Tx MXene nanosheets display a very small thickness(less than 5 Ti3C2 atom-layers)and expanded interlayer spacing.Consequently,the few-layer Ti3C2Tx exhibits enhanced capacitance(255 F g^-1 vs.177 F g^-1 for the multi-layered Ti3C2Tx)and significantly optimized rate capability(150 F g^-1 at 200 mV s^-1 vs.25 F g^-1 for the multi-layered Ti3C2Tx),because redox-active sites in the few-layer MXene are easily accessible to electrolyte ions.Moreover,an asymmetric supercapacitor is constructed using the few-layer Ti3C2Tx negative electrode and an activated carbon fiber positive electrode.The asymmetric supercapacitor presents a high energy density of 17.9 Wh kg^-1 and a high power density of 14 kW kg^-1,which is inseparable from its wide voltage window of 1.4 V and the good rate performance of the few-layer Ti3C2Tx MXene electrode.Overall,the flash freezing-assist delamination provides an effective and environmental-friendly strategy to synthesize few-layer MXene materials for high-rate electrochemical energy storage. | Xianli Wang Liubing Dong Wenbao Liu Yongfeng Huang Xuechao Pu Jinjie Wang Feiyu Kang Jia Lia Chengjun Xu | 2020 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,9: | 1 |

| 9 | Application of Pelvic Peritoneum Closure Combined with Extraperitoneal Colostomy in Laparoscopic Surgery for Low Rectal Cancer显示文摘Background:In the treatment of colorectal cancer,laparoscopic surgery has seen a significant amount of success.Reducing the risk of postoperative complications and improving patients’quality of life can be accomplished by appropriately employing pelvic peritoneal repair and sigmoid colostomy when appropriate.Objective:To compare fusion closure of pelvic peritoneum combined with extraperitoneal colostomy with non-closure of pelvic peritoneum combined with intraperitoneal colostomy in patients with low rectal cancer who had permanent colostomy.Methods:Low rectal cancer patients admitted to Hengshui People’s Hospital for permanent colostomy were evaluated.The participants were divided into two groups:an observation and a control group.All 30 cases in the observation group underwent pelvic peritoneum closure and extraperitoneal colostomy,while the other 30 cases in the control group underwent intraperitoneal colostomy.The C-reactive protein(CRP)levels of the participants in both groups were evaluated for 6 months to 2 years(24 h before,24 h after,48 h after,96 h after surgery).Results:Comparing the colostomy operative time,time to first passage of flatus postoperatively,time to first defecation postoperatively,length of hospital stay,laboratory indicators,stoma-related complications,colostomy function,etc.,the colostomy operative time significantly differed between the two groups(P<0.05);the observation group did considerably better than the control group in terms of stoma-related complications and bowel movement control 6 months after surgery(P<0.05);and although serum CRP levels increased in both groups 48 h after surgery,the difference was significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Extraperitoneal colostomy can improve the quality of life of patients with permanent stoma and reduce the occurrence of stoma-related complications.Thus,this technique is worthy of promotion in clinical practice. | Hongliang Yao Jipan Liu Caihua Sun Chengjun Wang Yun Li Li Li Bin Zhao Jia Liu | 2023 | Proceedings of Anticancer Research2023,7,3: | 0 |
| 10 | The biogenesis and biological roles of tRNA-derived short RNAs显示文摘In recent years, next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies targeting the microRNA (miRNA)transcriptome revealed the existence of tRNA-derived short RNAs: tRNA halves (tiRNAs) and tRNA-derived fragments (tRFs). These small RNAs represent a novel type of small non-coding RNAs (sncRNAs), which are heterogeneous in size, nucleotide composition and biogenesis, and have been suggested to be involved in translation, cell proliferation, priming of viral reverse transcriptases, regulation of gene expression, modulation of the DNA damage response, tumor suppression and neurological disorders. Herein, we review the mechanism of their biogenesis and discuss in detail the regulatory roles they play in cell physiology.
