| 1 | Molecular mechanism of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease induced and aggravated by chronic stress through HSL/ATGL-FFA which promotes fat mobilization显示文摘Objective:To study the effects of social stress(CS)and social stress combined with high-fat diet on fat mobilization as a candidate mechanism for the induction or aggravation of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).Methods:Thirty-two male Wistar rats(250±10 g)were randomly allocated to a blank control group(BC),a high-fat diet group(HFD),a CS group,and a combined CS and high-fat diet group(CS t HFD).Rats were sacrificed and tissues were collected after 8 weeks.Liver and body mass were measured and used to calculate the liver index.Serum aspartate aminotransferase(AST),alanine aminotransferase(ALT),and free fatty acids(FFAs)were measured.Liver sections were examined microscopically after oil red O and hematoxylin and eosin staining.The relative mRNA expression of acetyl-CoA carboxylase(ACCase),hydroxymethylglutaryl coenzyme A(HMG-CoA)reductase in liver,and hormone-sensitive lipase(HSL),and adipose triglyceride lipase(ATGL)in subcutaneous adipose tissue,were measured by real-time PCR.The liver concentrations of triglyceride,reactive oxygen species,and ACCase were measured by ELISA and HSL activity was determined using turbidimetry.Results:NAFLD developed in the CS,HFD,and CS t HFD groups,with the most severe NAFLD being in the CS t HFD group.Serum AST,ALT,and FFA,liver index,and hepatic triglyceride,FFA,and tumor necrosis factor-a were significantly higher in both the CS and CS t HFD groups.However,food intake and ACCase mRNA expression were lower.The mRNA expression of HSL and ATGL in adipose tissue was much higher,and HSL activity was higher in the CS group than in the BC group,and in the CS t HFD group than in the HFD group.Conclusion:We have successfully established two models of stress-induced NAFLD,suggesting stress can induce and aggravate NAFLD by promoting fat mobilization through upregulation of HSL and ATGL. | Jie Mu Xueqian Wang Qingguo Wang Fafeng Cheng Wenxiang Zhu Changxiang Li Chongyang Ma Changming Zhai Yajun Lian Xin Du | 2019 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2019,6,4: | 2 |

| 3 | Ultrathin covalent organic framework nanosheet-based photoregulated metal-free oxidase-like nanozyme显示文摘The exploration of low-cost and metal-free nanozymes with oxidase-mimicking activity is highly desired due to their attractive properties and potential applications.However,it is still challenging and remains unexploited to fully realize oxidase-like nanozyme in the emerging covalent organic frameworks(COFs)due to their polymeric nature and weak photoelectric activity.We herein report the first example of the preparation and oxidase-mimicking activity of novel ultrathin two-dimensional(2D)COF(termed as TTPA-COF)nanosheets.The ultrathin TTPA-COF nanosheets with hexagonal layered structure are constructed from two flexible photoactive(diarylamino)benzene-based linkers,and exhibit remarkable catalytic activity toward the oxidation of 3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine(TMB)in the presence of O_(2) due to their large specific surface areas and abundant active sites.Moreover,it is worth noting that the nanozyme activity could be regulated by external light irradiation.Based on the oxidasemimicking activity of TTPA-COF nanosheets,a green colorimetric sensor is proposed for the sensitive and selective determination of glutathione(GSH)in a wide linear range of 0.5–40μM with a detection limit of 0.5μM.This work reported here would open new avenues for the exploration of low-cost and high-efficiency nanozymes,as well as extend the application of 2D COF nanosheets in the fields of catalysis and sensing. | Yongwu Peng Minchu Huang Liangjun Chen Chengtao Gong Nanjun Li Ying Huang Changming Cheng | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,10: | 1 |

| 6 | Study on the interannual variability of the Kerama Gap transport and its relation to the Kuroshio/Ryukyu Current system显示文摘An analysis of a 68-year monthly hindcast output from an eddy-resolving ocean general circulation model reveals the relationship between the interannual variability of the Kerama Gap transport(KGT)and the Kuroshio/Ryukyu Current system.The study found a significant difference in the interannual variability of the upstream and downstream transports of the East China Sea-(ECS-)Kuroshio and the Ryukyu Current.The interannual variability of the KGT was found to be of paramount importance in causing the differences between the upstream and downstream ECS-Kuroshio.Additionally,it contributed approximately 37%to the variability of the Ryukyu Current.The interannual variability of the KGT was well described by a two-layer rotating hydraulic theory.It was dominated by its subsurface-intensified flow core,and the upper layer transport made a weaker negative contribution to the total KGT.The subsurface flow core was found to be mainly driven by the subsurface pressure head across the Kerama Gap,and the pressure head was further dominated by the subsurface density anomalies on the Pacific side.These density anomalies could be traced back to the eastern open ocean,and their propagation speed was estimated to be about 7.4 km/d,which is consistent with the speed of the local first-order baroclinic Rossby wave.When the negative(positive)density anomaly signal reached the southern region of the Kerama Gap,it triggered the increase(decrease)of the KGT towards the Pacific side and the formation of an anticyclonic(cyclonic)vortex by baroclinic adjustment.Meanwhile,there is an increase(decrease)in the upstream transport of the entire Kuroshio/Ryukyu Current system and an offshore flow that decreases(increases)the downstream Ryukyu Current. | Han Zhou Kai Yu Jianhuang Qin Xuhua Cheng Meixiang Chen Changming Dong | 2024 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2024,43,3: | 0 |
| 7 | An Interpretable Denoising Layer for Neural Networks Based on Reproducing Kernel Hilbert Space and its Application in Machine Fault Diagnosis显示文摘Deep learning algorithms based on neural networks make remarkable achievements in machine fault diagnosis,while the noise mixed in measured signals harms the prediction accuracy of networks.Existing denoising methods in neural networks,such as using complex network architectures and introducing sparse techniques,always suffer from the difficulty of estimating hyperparameters and the lack of physical interpretability.To address this issue,this paper proposes a novel interpretable denoising layer based on reproducing kernel Hilbert space(RKHS)as the first layer for standard neural networks,with the aim to combine the advantages of both traditional signal processing technology with physical interpretation and network modeling strategy with parameter adaption.By investigating the influencing mechanism of parameters on the regularization procedure in RKHS,the key parameter that dynamically controls the signal smoothness with low computational cost is selected as the only trainable parameter of the proposed layer.Besides,the forward and backward propagation algorithms of the designed layer are formulated to ensure that the selected parameter can be automatically updated together with other parameters in the neural network.Moreover,exponential and piecewise functions are introduced in the weight updating process to keep the trainable weight within a reasonable range and avoid the ill-conditioned problem.Experiment studies verify the effectiveness and compatibility of the proposed layer design method in intelligent fault diagnosis of machinery in noisy environments. | Baoxuan Zhao Changming Cheng Guowei Tu Zhike Peng Qingbo He Guang Meng | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2021,34,3: | 0 |
