| 1 | Assessment of habitat suitability of the snow leopard (Panthera uncia) in Qomolangma National Nature Reserve based on MaxEnt modeling显示文摘Habitat evaluation constitutes an important and fundamental step in the management of wildlife populations and conservation policy planning.Geographic information system(GIS) and species presence data provide the means by which such evaluation can be done. Maximum Entropy(MaxEnt)is widely used in habitat suitability modeling due to its power of accuracy and additional descriptive properties.To survey snow leopard populations in Qomolangma(Mt. Everest) National Nature Reserve(QNNR), Xizang(Tibet), China, we pooled 127 pugmarks, 415 scrape marks, and 127 non-invasive identifications of the animal along line transects and recorded 87 occurrences through camera traps from 2014–2017. We adopted the Max Ent model to generate a map highlighting the extent of suitable snow leopard habitat in QNNR. Results showed that the accuracy of the Max Ent model was excellent(mean AUC=0.921). Precipitation in the driest quarter, ruggedness, elevation, maximum temperature of the warmest month, and annual mean temperature were the main environmental factors influencing habitat suitability for snow leopards, with contribution rates of 20.0%, 14.4%, 13.3%, 8.7%, and 8.2% respectively.The suitable habitat area extended for 7 001.93 km^2,representing 22.72% of the whole reserve. The regions bordering Nepal were the main suitable snow leopard habitats and consisted of three separate habitat patches.Our findings revealed that precipitation, temperature conditions, ruggedness, and elevations of around 4000 m a.s.l. influenced snow leopard preferences at the landscape level in QNNR. We advocate further research and cooperation with Nepal to evaluate habitat connectivity and to explore possible proxies of population isolation among these patches. | 2 | Reallocation of foliicolous species of the genus Strigula into six genera(lichenized Ascomycota,Dothideomycetes,Strigulaceae)显示文摘Strigula sensu lato has been previously defined based on phenotype characters as a rather broad genus including tropical to temperate species growing on a wide array of substrata.In this study,based on a multilocus phylogenetic approach,we show that foliicolous species form six well-delimited clades that correlate with diagnostic phenotype features,including thallus morphology,carbonization of the involucrellum and excipulum,ascospore dimensions,and type of macroconidia.Given the topology,with five of the six clades emerging on long stem branches,and the strong phenotypical differentiation between the clades,we recognize these at the genus level,making mostly use of previously established genus names.Four genera,namely Phylloporis,Puiggariella,Raciborskiella,and Racoplaca,are resurrected for the S.phyllogena,S.nemathora,S.janeirensis,and S.subtilissima groups,respectively,whereas one new genus,Serusiauxiella gen.nov.,is introduced for a novel lineage with peculiar macroconidia.The only sequenced non-foliicolous species,S.jamesii,is not closely related to these six foliicolous lineages but clusters with Flavobathelium and Phyllobathelium,revealing it as an additional undescribed genus-level lineage being treated elsewhere.Within the new genus Serusiauxiella,three new species are described:Serusiauxiella filifera sp.nov.,S.flagellata sp.nov.,and S.sinensis sp.nov.In addition,ten new combinations are proposed:Phylloporis austropunctata comb.nov.,P.radiata comb.nov.,P.vulgaris comb.nov.,Puiggariella confluens comb.et stat.nov.,P.nemathora comb.nov.,P.nigrocincta comb.nov.,Racoplaca maculata comb.nov.,R.melanobapha comb.nov.,R.transversoundulata,and R.tremens comb.nov.We also report on a peculiar,previously unrecognized growth behaviour of the macroconidial appendages in Strigula s.lat. | Shu‑Hua Jiang Robert Lücking Amanda Barreto Xavier‑Leite Marcela E.S.Cáceres AndréAptroot Carlos Vinas Portilla Jiang‑Chun Wei | 2020 | Fungal Diversity2020,,3: | 5 |
| 3 | Presacral venous bleeding during mobilization in rectal cancer显示文摘AIM To analyze the anatomy of sacral venous plexus flow, the causes of injuries and the methods for controlling presacral hemorrhage during surgery for rectal cancer.METHODS A review of the databases MEDLINE? and Embase? was conducted, and relevant scientific articles published between January 1960 and June 2016 were examined. The anatomy of the sacrum and its venous plexus, as well as the factors that influence bleeding, the causes of this complication, and its surgical management were defined.RESULTS This is a review of 58 published articles on presacral venous plexus injury during the mobilization of the rectum and on techniques used to treat presacral venous bleeding. Due to the lack of cases published in the literature, there is no consensus on which is the best technique to use if there is presacral bleeding during mobilization in surgery for rectal cancer.
