| 3 | RESEARCH ON THE EVALUATION METHOD OF FRICTION AND LUBRICATION IN DEEP DRAWING显示文摘The deformation characteristic of bland in deep drawing is discussed. It is pointed out that the friction and lubrication conditions in for drawing are different from that in mechanical motion or machine work or other plastic process. The common test methods in laboratories are analyzed. It shows that though all those test methods can test the friction coefficient, the probe test method is most suitable for the research of friction and lubrication and the process in deep drawing, for this method is identical with the actual work condition either from the test principle or deformation status of the blank. Appropriate setting and adjusting the drawbead force is one of the most important pa- rameters in sheet metal forming process control. This paper derives the model of loop drawbead restraining force (DBRF) using plastic forming theory, and gives the min imum blankholding force. Experiments are carried out to verify the proposed DBRF model. | 9 | EXPERIMENTS AND SIMULATIONS OF A NEW DEVELOPED FORMING TECHNOLOGY-SHEAR-EXTRUSION PROCESS OF COMPONENTS WITH BRANCHES显示文摘Shear-extrusion process and its forming parumeters are proposed, whilst its laborsav- ing characteristic is utilized to forge large-size shutoff valve body on middle-due press. This new process is intended for the manufacture of large-size forged tubular components with branches on middle-due press. Experiments are carried out and processing parameters are obtained regarding the shear-extrusion process of a large-size shutoff valve body. Daformation and metal flow in the shear-extrusion process are inves- tigated. In orber to verify the laborsaving characteristic of this new process some contrastive experiments of extrusion force are performed between shear-extrusion and upsetting-extrusion for forming tubular components with branches. Based on rigid plastic FEM a plane-stain model is established to analyze shear-extrusion process of tubular components with branches. The analysis results by 2-dimensions PEM are comparatively quite well consistent with those of experiments. | 14 | Electro-mechanical response of functionally graded beams with imperfectly integrated surface piezoelectric layers显示文摘The time-dependent behavior of a simply-supported functionally graded beam bonded with piezoelectric sensors and actuators is studied using the state-space method. The creep behavior of bonding adhesives between piezoelectric layers and beam is characterized by a Kelvin-Voigt viscoelastic model, which is practical in a high temperature circumstance. Both the host elastic functionally graded beam and the piezoelectric layers are orthotropic and in a state of plane stress, with the former being inhomogeneous along the thickness direction. A laminate model is employed to approximate the host beam. Moreover, the coupling effect between the elastic deformation and electric field in piezoelectric layers is considered. Two kinds of information are needed to create assembly sketch: structure and assembly constraint. Most researches are aimed at how to obtain structures from function, but the problem of how to obtain assembly constraint from function is ignored. Following the definition of assembly unit and the classification of function, a hierarchical mapping method from function to assembly constraint is put forward, and the mapping method includes two steps. The first step is the mapping from function to assembly semantics which is assembly expression and accordant with engineer's design habit. The second one is the mapping from assembly semantics to basic assembly constraints that are convenient for computer to handle. | 19 | Curve interpolation based on Catmull-Clark subdivision scheme显示文摘An efficient algorithm for curve interpolation is proposed. The algorithm can produce a subdivision surface that can interpolate the predefined cubic B-spline curves by applying the Catmull-Clark scheme to a polygonal mesh containing 'symmetric zonal meshes', which possesses some special properties. Many kinds of curve interpolation problems can be dealt with by this algorithm, such as interpolating single open curve or closed curve, a mesh of nonintersecting or intersecting curve. The interpolating surface is C2 everywhere excepting at a finite number of points. At the same time, sharp creases can also be modeled on the limit subdivision surface by duplicating the vertices of the tagged edges of initial mesh, i.e. the surface is only C0 along the cubic B-spline curve that is defined by the tagged edges. In the framework, the qualitative solid model is the core, which represents qualitatively (using symbols) the conceptual shapes of mechanical products.
