1SEDIMENT TRANSPORTED BY DEBRIS FLOWTO THE LOWER JINSHA RIVER显示文摘The lower Jinsha River is an area with the highest sediment yield in the upper Yangze basin. Itcovers only 9.27% of the total area of the basin but supplies about 40% of the total sediment recordedat the Yichang Hydrological Station. The present study shows that besides strong slope erosion andwaste discharge from engineering works, debris-flow transport is an important source of the sedimentload in the river.
