1Narrow bandwidth fiber-optic spectral combs for renewable hydrogen detection显示文摘Hydrogen sensors are of great importance to detect leakage in time because the hydrogen-air mixture is highly flammable.Based on optical fiber-based configurations reported so far,using palladium coating only does not meet stringent performance targets,such as fast response time and limited deactivation caused by poisoning.Here,a palladium-gold alloy-coated optical fiber hydrogen sensor,i.e.,highly tilted fiber Bragg grating(TFBG),was proposed by using its narrow bandwidth cladding modes whose effective refractive index(ERI)extends to 1.0 where the gas measurement is possible,which led to faster specific hydrogen measurement response time(a shorter stabilization time during the association and dissociation phases less than 20s and 30s,respectively)and improved deactivation resistance(higher than 99%per test cycle).Meanwhile,the temperature cross-sensitivity can be eliminated via referencing the'target'spectral combs to the core mode.We are sure that this promising configuration extends research directions for rapid,repeatable and high deactivation-resistance in hydrogen gas detection.Shunshuo CAI Fu LIU Runlin WANG Yongguang XIAO Kaiwei LI Christophe CAUCHETEUR Tuan GUO 2020Science China(Information Sciences)2020,63,12:4
2Efficient phase-induced gabor cube selection and weighted fusion for hyperspectral image classification显示文摘Spectral-spatial Gabor filtering(GF),a robust feature extraction tool,has been widely investigated for hyperspectral image(HSI)classification.Recently,a new type of GF method,named phase-induced GF,which showed great potential for HSI feature extraction,was proposed.Although this new type of GF possibly better explores the frequency characteristics of HSIs,with a new parameter added,it generates a much larger amount of features,yielding redundancies and noises,and is therefore risky to severely deteriorate the efficiency and accuracy of classification.To tackle this problem,we fully exploit phase-induced Gabor features efficiently,proposing an efficient phase-induced Gabor cube selection and weighted fusion(EPCS-WF)method for HSI classification.Specifically,to eliminate the redundancies and noises,we first select the most representative Gabor cubes using a newly designed energy-based phase-induced Gabor cube selection(EPCS)algorithm before feeding them into classifiers.Then,a weighted fusion(WF)strategy is adopted to integrate the mutual information residing in different feature cubes to generate the final predictions.Our experimental results obtained on four well-known HSI datasets demonstrate that the EPCS-WF method,while only adopting four selected Gabor cubes for classification,delivers better performance as compared with other Gabor-based methods.The code of this work is available at http://gffzz188fe103f8f1460asxvfb0b09wc9n6q9c.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/cairlin5/EPCS-WF-hyperspectral-image-classification for the sake of reproducibility.CAI RunLin LIU ChenYing LI Jun 2022Science China(Technological Sciences)2022,65,4:2
3A Hu sheep genome with the first ovine Y chromosome reveal introgression history after sheep domestication显示文摘The Y chromosome plays key roles in male fertility and reflects the evolutionary history of paternal lineages.Here,we present a de novo genome assembly of the Hu sheep with the first draft assembly of ovine Y chromosome(o MSY),using nanopore sequencing and Hi-C technologies.The o MSY that we generated spans 10.6 Mb from which 775 Y-SNPs were identified by applying a large panel of whole genome sequences from worldwide sheep and wild Iranian mouflons.Three major paternal lineages(HY1a,HY1b and HY2)were defined across domestic sheep,of which HY2 was newly detected.Surprisingly,HY2 forms a monophyletic clade with the Iranian mouflons and is highly divergent from both HY1a and HY1b.Demographic analysis of Y chromosomes,mitochondrial and nuclear genomes confirmed that HY2 and the maternal counterpart of lineage C represented a distinct wild mouflon population in Iran that diverge from the direct ancestor of domestic sheep,the wild mouflons in Southeastern Anatolia.Our results suggest that wild Iranian mouflons had introgressed into domestic sheep and thereby introduced this Iranian mouflon specific lineage carrying HY2 to both East Asian and Africa sheep populations.Ran Li Peng Yang Ming Li Wenwen Fang Xiangpeng Yue Hojjat Asadollahpour Nanaei Shangquan Gan Duo Du Yudong Cai Xuelei Dai Qimeng Yang Chunna Cao Weidong Deng Sangang He Wenrong Li Runlin Ma Mingjun Liu Yu Jiang 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,7:1
