| 1 | World-class Xincheng gold deposit: An example from the giant Jiaodong gold province显示文摘The Jiaodong gold deposits are currently the most important gold resources(with Au reserves of>4000 t) in China,and the leading gold-producing country globally(with Au production of ~428 t in2013).Jiaodong is also considered as perhaps the only world-class to giant gold accumulation on the planet where relatively young gold ores(ca.130-120 Ma) were deposited in rocks that are 2 Ga older.The Xincheng world-class high-grade gold deposit,with a proven reserve of >200 t gold,is one of the largest deposits in the giant gold province of the Jiaodong Peninsula.It is located in the northwestern part of the jiaobei Uplift,and hosted by ca.132-123 Ma Xincheng quartz monzonites and monzogranites.Ore zones are structurally controlled by the NE-trending and NW-dipping Jiaojia Fault and subsidiary faults,and are mainly restricted to the footwall of the fault.The dominant disseminated- and stockworkstyle ores are associated with strong sericitization,silicification,sulfidation and K-feldspathization,and minor carbonate wallrock alteration halos.The four mineralization stages are pyrite-quartz-sericite(stage 1),quartz-pyrite(stage 2),quartz-polysulfide(stage 3) and quartz-carbonate(stage 4).Gold occurs dominantly as electrum,with lesser amounts of sulfide-hosted native gold and rare native silver and argentite,normally associated with pyrite,chalcopyrite,galena and sphalerite:the latter with proven resources of about 105 t Ag,713 t Cu,and 5100 t S.There are three types of ore-related fluid inclusions:type 1 aqueous-carbonate(H_2O-CO_2),type 2aqueous(liquid H_2O+vapor H_2O),and type 3 CO_2(liquid CO_2 and vapor CO_2) inclusions.Homogenization temperatures range from 221 to 304℃ for type 1 inclusions,with salinities of 2.4-13.3 wt.%NaCl eq.,and bulk densities of 0.858-1.022 g/cm^3.The δ^(34)S_(CDT) values of hydrothermal sulfides are 4.3-10.6‰and δ^(18)O values of hydrothermal quartz have a median value of 13.0‰.δD values of fluid inclusions in hydrothermal quartz have a median value of-75‰.Calculated δ^(18)Owater has a median value of 5.2‰.The timing of gold mineralization at the Xincheng gold deposit is younger than 123±1 Ma,and likely between 120.9 and 119.9 Ma.A minerals system genetic model for the probable epizonal orogenic Xincheng deposit suggests an initial medium temperature,CO_2-rich,and low salinity H_2O-CO_2 deeply sourced metamorphic ore fluid associated with dehydration and decarbonization of subducting Paleo-Pacific lithosphere.The Jiaojia Fault constrained the migration of ore-forming fluids and metals at the brittle-ductile transition.Fluid immiscibility,caused by episodic pressure drops,led to significant high-grade gold deposition in the giant Xincheng gold deposit. | Liqiang Yang Jun Deng Ruipeng Guo Lin'nan Guo Zhongliang Wang Binghan Chen XudongWang | 2016 | Geoscience Frontiers2016,7,3: | 14 |
| 2 | Notch signaling pathway:architecture,disease,and therapeutics显示文摘The NOTCH gene was identified approximately 110 years ago.Classical studies have revealed that NOTCH signaling is an evolutionarily conserved pathway.NOTCH receptors undergo three cleavages and translocate into the nucleus to regulate the transcription of target genes.NOTCH signaling deeply participates in the development and homeostasis of multiple tissues and organs,the aberration of which results in cancerous and noncancerous diseases.However,recent studies indicate that the outcomes of NOTCH signaling are changeable and highly dependent on context.In terms of cancers,NOTCH signaling can both promote and inhibit tumor development in various types of cancer.The overall performance of NOTCH-targeted therapies in clinical trials has failed to meet expectations.Additionally,NOTCH mutation has been proposed as a predictive biomarker for immune checkpoint blockade therapy in many cancers.Collectively,the NOTCH pathway needs to be integrally assessed with new perspectives to inspire discoveries and applications.In this review,we focus on both classical and the latest findings related to NOTCH signaling to illustrate the history,architecture,regulatory mechanisms,contributions to physiological development,related diseases,and therapeutic applications of the NOTCH pathway.The contributions of NOTCH signaling to the tumor immune microenvironment and cancer immunotherapy are also highlighted.We hope this review will help not only beginners but also experts to systematically and thoroughly understand the NOTCH signaling pathway. | Binghan Zhou Wanling Lin Yaling Long Yunkai Yang Huan Zhang Kongming Wu Qian Chu | 2022 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,4: | 14 |
| 3 | Intravenous acid fibroblast growth factor protects intestinal mucosal cells against ischemia-reperfusion injury via regulating Bcl-2/Bax expression显示文摘AIM: To detect the effect of acid fibroblast growth factor (aFGF) on apoptosis and gene expression of bax and bcl-2 gene in rat intestine after ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury, and to explore the protective mechanisms of aFGF.METHODS: One hundred and eight Wistar rats were randomly divided into sham-operated control group (C)(n = 6), intestinal ischemia group (I) (n = 6), aFGF treatment group (A) (n = 48) and intestinal ischemia reperfusion group (R) (n = 48). In group I, the animals were killed after 45 min of superior mesenteric artery (SMA) occlusion, while in groups R and A, the rats sustained 45 min of SMA occlusion and were then treated with normal saline and aFGF, respectively, sustained 15 min, 30 min, 1, 2, 6, 12, 24, or 48 h of reperfusion, respectively. In group C, SMA was separated, but without occlusion. Apoptosis in intestinal villus was determined with terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase mediated dUTP-biotin nickend labeling technique (TUNEL). Intestinal tissue samples were taken not only for detection of bax and bcl-2 gene expression by RT-PCR, but also for detection of bax and bcl 2 protein expression and distribution by immunohistochemical analysis.RESULTS: The rat survival rates in aFGF treated group were higher than group R (P<0.05) and the improvement of intestinal histological structures was observed at 2, 6, and 12 h after the reperfusion in group A compared with group R. The apoptotic rates were (41.17±3.49)%, (42.83±5.23)% and (53.33±6.92)% at 2, 6 and 12 h after reperfusion, respectively in group A, apparently less than those of group R at matched time points (50.67±6.95, 54.17±7.86, 64.33±6.47, respectively) (P<0.05). | 4 | Actinolactomycin,a New 2-Oxonanonoidal Antitumor Antibiotic Produced by Streptomyces flavoretus 18522,and its Inhibitory Effect on the Proliferation of Human Cancer Cells显示文摘Actinolactomycin 1, a new 2-oxonanonoidal antitumor antibiotic, was isolated from the fermentation broth of Streptomyces flavoretus 18522 through a bioassay-guided separation procedure. The structure of 1 was determined as 4,7-dihydroxy-3,9-dimethyl-2-oxonanone by the spectroscopic methods. Compound 1 inhibited the proliferation of A2780, K562, HCT-15, A549 and HeLa cells with the IC50 values of 1.4 ± 0.4 μmol/L, 8.4 ± 4.7 μmol/L, 9.4 ± 2.2 μmol/L, 15.4 ± 5.6 μmol/L and 13.7 ± 2.0 μmol/L, respectively. | 5 | In vivo effects of Chinese herbal recipe, Danshaohuaxian, on apoptosis and proliferation of hepatic stellate cells in hepatic fibrotic rats显示文摘AIM: To investigate the effects of Danshaohuaxian (DSHX),a Chinese herbal recipe, on the apoptosis and cell cycles of hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) in rat hepatic fibrosis and its possible mechanisms. METHODS: Seventy-six male Wistar rats were randomly divided into normal control group, hepatic fibrosis group,non-DSHX-treated group and DSHX-treated group. Except for the normal control group, rat hepatic fibrotic models were induced by subcutaneous injection of carbon tetrachloride (CCl4), drinking alcohol, giving diet of hyperlipid and hypoprotein for 8 wk. When the hepatic fibrotic models were produced, 12 rats of hepatic fibrosis group (15 rats survived, others died during the 8 wk) were sacrificed to collect blood and livers. HSCs were isolated from the other 3 rats to detect the apoptotic index (AI) and cell cycles by flow cytometry. DSHX was then given to the DSHX-treated group (1.0 g/kg, PO daily) for 8 wk. At the same time, normal control group and non-DSHX-treated group were given normal saline for 8 wk. At end of the experiment, some rats in these three groups were sacrificed to collect blood and livers, the other rats were used for HSC isolation to detect the apoptotic index (AI) and cell cycles. Then the liver index, serum hyaluronic acid (HA) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT),degree of hepatic fibrosis, urinary excretion of hydroxyproline (Hyp) and expression of collagen types Ⅰ and Ⅲ (COL Ⅰ and Ⅲ) in these four groups were detected respectively.RESULTS: Compared with the indexes of the hepatic fibrosis group and non-DSHX-treated group, the DSHX-treated group revealed a liver index of (0.0267±0.0017 vs 0.0423±0.0044, 0.0295±0.0019, P<0.05), levels of serum HA (200.78±31.71 vs316.17±78.48, 300.86±72.73, P<0.05)and ALT(93.13±5.79 vs 174.5±6.02, 104.75±6.54, P<0.01),and stage of hepatic fibrosis (1.30 vs 4.25, 2.60, P<0.01)all reduced. The urinary excretion of Hyp increased (541.09±73.39 vs 62.00±6.40, 182.44±30.83, P<0.01),the COL Ⅰ and Ⅲ expression decreased (COL Ⅰ: 1.07±0.96 vs4.18±2.26, 3.22±1.44, P<0.01; COL Ⅲ: 1.09±0.58 vs 3.04±0.62, 2.23±0.58, P<0.01), the HSCs apoptotic index of HSCs (7.81±0.47 vs 1.63±0.25, 1.78±0.4, P<0.05) and the ratio of G0-G1 phase cells increased (94.30±1.33 vs 62.27±17.96, 50.53±2.25, P<0.05). | 6 | Tectonothermal Records in Migmatite-Like Rocks of the Guandi Complex in Zhoukoudian, Beijing: Implications for Late Neoarchean to Proterozoic Tectonics of the North China Craton显示文摘Migmatite-like rocks transformed from strongly metamorphosed and deformed enclavebearing felsic plutons usually make people confuse with the true migmatites and mistake in interpretation of their petrogenesis and tectonic implications. Here we report a suite of rocks that have long been called as migmatites from the Guandi complex in Zhoukoudian region, southwest of Beijing. The rocks are dominated by felsic gneisses with garnet-free amphibolites. Field occurrence, petrography and geochemistry indicate that the felsic gneisses and amphibolites were metamorphosed from protoliths of intermediate-acid and basic igneous rocks, respectively. New LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb dating and geothermobarometry study further reveal that precursor magmas of the two types of rocks were emplaced at 2.54–2.56 Ga and the rocks subsequently underwent medium P/T-type metamorphism with upper amphibolite facies conditions of 0.55–0.90 GPa and 670–730 ℃ at ~2.48–2.50 Ga. Geochemically, precursor magmas of the amphibolites were suggested to be derived from an enriched lithospheric mantle source in continental arc setting, and those of the felsic gneisses are characterized by tonalitic to trondhjemitic magmas that are usually considered to be generated by partial melting of hydrated, thickened metamorphosed mafic crust with garnet as residues, suggesting that the rock associations are not of true migmatites but migmatite-like rocks. The qualified eye-tracking and audio data were further analysed by Tobii Studio and Audacity audio processing software. Our findings suggest that the time of the pause preceding an ME was largely, but not entirely, spent in processing the ensuing ME. However, due to the general existence of reading ahead activities in STR, the planning step for sight translating an ME takes place prior to the preceding pause; moreover, due to local processing difficulty causedbytheME,thetimeforreadingaheadintoME(temporalEVS)ismostlygreater than for reading ahead beyond ME. | 8 | Performance enhancement of paper-based SERS chips by shell-isolated nanoparticle-enhanced Raman spectroscopy显示文摘Paper-based flexible surface-enhanced Raman scattering(SERS) chips have been demonstrated to have great potential for future practical applications in point-of-care testing(POCT) due to the potentials of massive fabrication, low cost, efficient sample collection and short signal acquisition time. In this work,common filter paper and Ag@Si O2 core-shell nanoparticles(NP) have been utilized to fabricate SERS chips based on shell-isolated nanoparticle-enhanced Raman spectroscopy(SHINERS). The SERS performance of the chips for POCT applications was systematically investigated. We used crystal violet as the model molecule to study the influence of the size of the Ag core and the thickness of the Si O2 coating layer on the SERS activity and then the morphology optimized Ag@Si O2 core-shell NPs was employed to detect thiram. By utilizing the smartphone as a miniaturized Raman spectral analyzer, high SERS sensitivity of thiram with a detection limit of 10^-9 M was obtained. The study on the stability of the SERS chips shows that a Si O2 shell of 3 nm can effectively protect the as-prepared SERS chips against oxidation in ambient atmosphere without seriously weakening the SERS sensitivity.
