1Tacrolimus and mycophenolate mofetil as second-line treatment in autoimmune hepatitis:Is the evidence of sufficient quality to develop recommendations?显示文摘BACKGROUND The standard management of autoimmune hepatitis(AIH)is based on corticosteroids,alone or in combination with azathioprine.Second-line treatments are needed for patients who have refractory disease.However,high-quality data on the alternative management of AIH are scarce.AIM To evaluate the efficacy and safety of tacrolimus and mycophenolate mofetil(MMF)and the quality of evidence by using the Grading of Recommendations Assessment,Development and Evaluation approach(GRADE).METHODS A systematic review and meta-analysis of the available data were performed.We calculated pooled event rates for three outcome measures:Biochemical remission,adverse events,and mortality,with their corresponding 95%confidence intervals(CI).RESULTS The pooled biochemical remission rate was 68.9%(95%CI:60.4-76.2)for tacrolimus,and 59.6%(95%CI:54.8-64.2)for MMF,and rates of adverse events were 25.5%(95%CI:12.4-45.3)for tacrolimus and 24.1%(95%CI:15.4-35.7)for MMF.The pooled mortality rate was estimated at 11.5%(95%CI:7.1-18.1)for tacrolimus and 9.01%(95%CI:6.2-12.8)for MMF.Pooled biochemical remission rates for tacrolimus and MMF in patients with intolerance to standard therapy were 56.6%(CI:43.4-56.6)vs 73.5%(CI:58.1-84.7),and among non-responders were 59.1%(CI:48.7-68.8)vs 40.8%(CI:32.3-50.0),respectively.Moreover,the overall quality assessments using GRADE proved to be very low for all our outcomes in both treatment groups.CONCLUSION Tacrolimus and MMF are in practice considered effective for patients with AIH who are non-responders or intolerant to first-line treatment,but we found no high-quality evidence to support this statement.Mohammadreza Abdollahi Neda Khalilian Ekrami Morteza Ghojazadeh H Marike Boezen Mohammadhossein Somi Behrooz Z Alizadeh 2020World Journal of Gastroenterology2020,26,38:5
2Electronical and thermoelectric properties of half-Heusler ZrNiPb under pressure in bulk and nanosheet structures for energy conversion显示文摘The pressure dependence of structural,electronic and thermoelectric properties of half-Heusler ZrNiPb was investigated in the bulk and nanosheet structures.In order to obtain the accurate results,the full-potential(linearized) augmented plane-wave(FP(L)APW)calculations were performed with the Perdew-BurkeErnzerhof generalized gradient approximation(PBE-GGA)and modified Becke-Johnson(mBJ) plus spin-orbit coupling(SOC).Obtained band gap values are in close agreement with the experimental results(<0.5 eV).The variations of the thermoelectric properties of the ZrNiPb were studied under different temperatures,carrier concentrations and the hydrostatic pressures.The results show that the hydrostatic pressure decreases the lattice constant value.The band structure calculations display that the band gap increases with pressure for the bulk state and it is 0 for the nanosheet of ZrNiPb [010].The highest value of figure of merit(ZT)=0.95 is found at 9.378 GPa at a carrier concentration of n=1 × 10^18 cm^-3 at 250 K for p-type of ZrNiPb.Hossein Asghar Rahnamaye Aliabad Zahra Nodehi Behrooz Maleki Azam Abareshi 2019Rare Metals2019,38,11:5
3Toward More Electric Powertrains in Aircraft:Technical Challenges and Advancements显示文摘The main purpose of this article is to provide an instructive review of the technological challenges hindering the road toward more electric powertrains in aircraft.Hybrid,all-electric,and turboelectric powertrain architectures are discussed as possible fuel consumption and weight reduction solutions.Among these architectures,the short-term implementation of hybrid and all-electric architectures is limited,particularly for large-capacity aircraft due to the low energy/power density levels achievable by state-of-the-art electrical energy storage systems.Conversely,turboelectric architectures with advanced distributed propulsion and boundary layer ingestion are set to lead the efforts toward more electric powertrains.At the center of this transition,power converters and high-power density electric machines,i.e.,electric motors and generators,and their corresponding thermal management systems are analyzed as the key devices enabling the more electric powertrain.Moreover,to further increase the fuel efficiency and power density of the aircraft,the benefits and challenges of implementing higher voltage powertrains are described.Lastly,based on the findings collected in this article,the projected roadmap toward more electric aircraft powertrains is presented.Herein,the individual targets for each technology,i.e.,batteries,electric machines,and power converters,and how they translate to future aircraft prototypes are illustrated.Joseph Benzaquen JiangBiao He Behrooz Mirafzal 2021CES Transactions on Electrical Machines and Systems2021,5,3:4
4Germanium separation and purification by leaching and precipitation显示文摘In this research work, extraction and purification of germanium from zinc leach residues(ZLR) were investigated. The results of ICP, XRF, and atomic adsorption spectroscopy(AAS) tests show that contents of germanium, iron, lead, and zinc within the leaching residue were 105×10^(-6), 3.53%, 10.35%, and 8.8%, respectively. XRD results indicate that the main minerals were in different forms of sulfates(CaSO_4·2H_2O, PbSO_4 and ZnSO_4·6H__2O), silicate(SiO_2), and oxide(Fe_2O_3). Dissolution of leaching filter cake was carried out using 5 parameters and each in 4 levels(acid concentration, temperature, time, liquid-to-solid ratio, and stirring speed) by Taguchi method(L_(16)), and then optimization of the effective parameters by response surface method. Under optimum conditions, zinc and germanium dissolution efficiencies were 88.71% and 8%, respectively. Leaching tests with sulfuric acid(added di-ammonium oxalate monohydrate) and hydrochloric acid(HCl) on the residues obtained from previous-stage sulfuric acid dissolution, yielded germanium and iron recoveries of 83%, 88%, 40%, and 90%, respectively. Thus, leaching experiment with sulfuric acid(added di-ammonium oxalate monohydrate) was superior to that with hydrochloric acid due to high and low extraction amounts of germanium and iron, respectively. Precipitation experiments revealed that germanium purification with tannic acid presented a better result compared to sodium hydroxide and ammonia. 6Combining artificial neural network and multi-objective optimization to reduce a heavy-duty diesel engine emissions and fuel consumption显示文摘Nondominated sorting genetic algorithm Ⅱ(NSGA-Ⅱ) is well known for engine optimization problem. Artificial neural networks(ANNs) followed by multi-objective optimization including a NSGA-Ⅱ and strength pareto evolutionary algorithm(SPEA2) were used to optimize the operating parameters of a compression ignition(CI) heavy-duty diesel engine. First, a multi-layer perception(MLP) network was used for the ANN modeling and the back propagation algorithm was utilized as training algorithm. Then, two different multi-objective evolutionary algorithms were implemented to determine the optimal engine parameters. 7The effect of urea pretreatment on the formaldehyde emission and properties of straw particleboard显示文摘For manufacturing low-formaldehyde emission particleboard from wheat straw and urea-formaldehyde (UF) resins using urea treatment for indoor environments, we investigated the influence of urea treatment on the formaldehyde emission, physical and mechanical properties of the manufactured particleboard. Wheat straws were treated at three levels of urea concentration (5%, 10%, 15%) and 95℃as holding temperature. Wheat straw particleboards were manufactured using hotpress at 180℃and 3 MPa with two types of UF adhesive (UF-45,UF-91). Then the formaldehyde emission values, physical properties and mechanical properties were considered. The results show that the formaldehyde emission value was decreased by increasing urea concentration. Furthermore, the results indicate that the specimens under urea treatment have better mechanical and physical properties compared with control specimens. 8Introduction of table sugar as a soft second template in ZSM-5 nanocatalyst and its effect on product distribution and catalyst lifetime in methanol to gasoline conversion显示文摘Methanol to gasoline reaction was investigated on two prepared ZSM-5 catalysts. The first one was a conventional catalyst denoted as ZSM-5(C) and the other was a hierarchical catalyst-ZSM-5(S) which was prepared by incorporation of table sugar in catalyst gel during the synthesis procedure. The catalysts were characterized by FTIR, XRD, FE-SEM, N_2 adsorption-desorption, NH_3-TPD and TGA analytical technics. The proposed material showed pore modification as well as acidity moderating properties in ZSM-5 catalyst. The methanol to gasoline reaction was conducted in a fixed bed reactor with a WHSV of 1.5 h^(-1).Methanol conversions, gasoline yield and selectivity in production for the synthesized catalysts were determined by gas chromatography method. The sugar modified catalyst converted more methanol than the conventional one and an enhancement in catalyst's life time was observed. The selectivity to aromatics and durene were reduced compared to the conventional catalyst, so the gasoline quality was also further improved. The coking rate of catalysts was calculated employing TGA method. 9Optimization of buckling load for laminated composite plates using adaptive Kriging-improved PSO:A novel hybrid intelligent method显示文摘An effective hybrid optimization method is proposed by integrating an adaptive Kriging(A-Kriging)into an improved partial swarm optimization algorithm(IPSO)to give a so-called A-Kriging-IPSO for maximizing the buckling load of laminated composite plates(LCPs)under uniaxial and biaxial compressions.In this method,a novel iterative adaptive Kriging model,which is structured using two training sample sets as active and adaptive points,is utilized to directly predict the buckling load of the LCPs and to improve the efficiency of the optimization process.The active points are selected from the initial data set while the adaptive points are generated using the radial random-based convex samples.The cell-based smoothed discrete shear gap method(CS-DSG3)is employed to analyze the buckling behavior of the LCPs to provide the response of adaptive and input data sets.The buckling load of the LCPs is maximized by utilizing the IPSO algorithm.To demonstrate the efficiency and accuracy of the proposed methodology,the LCPs with different layers(2,3,4,and 10 layers),boundary conditions,aspect ratios and load patterns(biaxial and uniaxial loads)are investigated.The results obtained by proposed method are in good agreement with the literature results,but with less computational burden.By applying adaptive radial Kriging model,the accurate optimal resultsebased predictions of the buckling load are obtained for the studied LCPs.Behrooz Keshtegar Trung Nguyen-Thoi Tam T.Truong Shun-Peng Zhu 2021Defence Technology(防务技术)2021,17,1:2
10The study of key design parameters effects on the vortex tube performance显示文摘In this paper, energy separation effect in a vortex tube has been investigated using a CFD model. Thenumerical simulation has been done due to the complex structure of flow. The governing equationshave been solved by FLUENT code in 2D and 3D compressible and turbulent model. The effects ofgeometrical and thermo-physical parameters have been investigated. The results have shown that theoptimum length to diameter ratio is from 25 to 35. Increasing the number of nozzles from 2 to 4 withconvergent shape is found to be an efficient configuration for the swirl generator. The optimum valueof orifice diameter to tube diameter ratio, for the maximum cold air temperature difference and efficiency,has been determined to be around 0.58. The results show that if the inlet pressure increases upto a critical value, the efficiency will increase. Nevertheless, if it increases to higher values, the efficiencywill decrease. 11Spin-preserving chiral photonic crystal mirror显示文摘Chirality refers to a geometric phenomenon in which objects are not superimposable on their mirror image.Structures made of nanoscale chiral elements can exhibit chiroptical effects,such as dichroism for left-and right-handed circularly polarized light,which makes these structures highly suitable for applications ranging from quantum information processing and quantum optics to circular dichroism spectroscopy and molecular recognition.At the same time,strong chiroptical effects have been challenging to achieve even in synthetic optical media,and chiroptical effects for light with normal incidence have been speculated to be prohibited in thin,lossless quasi-two-dimensional structures.Here,we report an experimental realization of a giant chiroptical effect in a thin monolithic photonic crystal mirror.Unlike conventional mirrors,our mirror selectively reflects only one spin state of light while preserving its handedness,with a near-unity level of circular dichroism.The operational principle of the photonic crystal mirror relies on guided-mode resonance(GMR)with a simultaneous excitation of leaky transverse electric(TE-like)and transverse magnetic(TM-like)Bloch modes in the photonic crystal slab.Such modes are not reliant on the suppression of radiative losses through long-range destructive interference,and even small areas of the photonic crystal exhibit robust circular dichroism.Despite its simplicity,the mirror strongly outperforms earlier reported structures and,contrary to a prevailing notion,demonstrates that near-unity reflectivity contrast for opposite helicities is achievable in a quasi-two-dimensional structure.Behrooz Semnani Jeremy Flannery Rubayet Al Maruf Michal Bajcsy 2020Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1:2
12翼状胬肉患者血清总抗氧化能力的临床研究(英文)显示文摘目的:评估翼状胬肉患者血清总抗氧化能力与对照组的比较结果。方法:病例对照研究。包括2016年Vali-Asr教学医院眼科患有翼状胬肉的所有患者。对照组来源于Vali-Asr教学医院眼科(非翼状胬肉患者),两组年龄、性别和居住地无统计学差异。通过任意抽样选取66例受试者[31(47%)例患者,35(53%)例对照组]。用铁还原抗氧化法(FRAP)检测所有患者静脉血液样本。FRAP是一种10min快速检测手段,通过检测样本使铁(Fe3+)转化为亚铁(Fe2+)的能力以测定样本的抗氧化能力。通过SPSS 21软件收集数据,使用chi-square和Mann-Whitney进行分析(α=0.05)。结果:研究组患者平均抗氧化能力为842.55±161.46μmol/L,对照组为856.77±209.41μmol/L(P=0.8)。基于性别比较正常个体与翼状胬肉患者平均血清抗氧化能力,结果显示对照组男性平均抗氧化能力为894.05±176.82μmol/L,女性为780.01±118.33μmol/L,差异具有统计学意义(P=0.008)。病例组与对照组的同性别间对比结果无显著性差异。结论:研究结果显示,翼状胬肉患者血清抗氧化能力的总水平低于对照组的平均值,但未观察到显著差异。本研究结果与氧化应激在翼状胬肉发病机制中的影响基本一致。Heydari Behrooz Yaghoobi Gholamhossein Zarban Asghar Hosseini Rad Abbas Feizinohammadi Akram 2018国际眼科杂志2018,18,1:2
13Dynamic rupture and crushing of an extruded tube using artificial neural network(ANN)approximation method显示文摘A numerical study of the crushing of thin-walled circular aluminum tubes has been carried out to investigate the crashworthiness behaviors under axial impact loading. These kinds of tubes are usually used in automobile and train structures to absorb the impact energy. Previous researches show that thin-walled circular tube has the highest energy absorption under axial impact amongst different structures. In this work, the crushing between two rigid flat plates and the tube rupture by 4 and 6 blades cutting tools is modeled with the help of ductile failure criterion using the numerical method. The tube material is aluminum EN AW-7108 T6 and its length and diameter are 300 mm and 50 mm, respectively. Using the artificial neural network(ANN), the most important surfaces of energy absorption parameters, including the maximum displacement of the striker, the maximum axial force, the specific energy absorption and the crushing force efficiency in terms of impact velocity and tube thickness are obtained and compared to each other. The analyses show that the tube rupture by the 6 blades cutting tool has more energy absorption in comparison with others. 14Supply chain network design under uncertainty with new insights from contracts显示文摘In this paper, the classical problem of supply chain network design is reconsidered to emphasize the role of contracts in uncertain environments. The supply chain addressed consists of four layers: suppliers, manufacturers, warehouses, and customers acting within a single period. The single owner of the manufacturing plants signs a contract with each of the suppliers to satisfy demand from downstream. Available contracts consist of long-term and option contracts, and unmet demand is satisfied by purchasing from the spot market. In this supply chain, customer demand, supplier capacity, plants and warehouses, transportation costs, and spot prices are uncertain. Two models are proposed here: a risk-neutral two-stage stochastic model and a risk-averse model that considers risk measures. A solution strategy based on sample average approximation is then proposed to handle large scale problems. Extensive computational studies prove the important role of contracts in the design process, especially a portfolio of contracts. For instance, we show that long-term contract alone has similar impacts to having no contracts, and that option contract alone gives inferior results to a combination of option and long-term contracts. 15Trend of blood lactate level in acute aluminum phosphide poisoning显示文摘BACKGROUND: Aluminum phosphide(Al P) poisoning is common in the developing countries. There is no specifi c antidote for the treatment of acute Al P poisoning. Early diagnosis of poisoning and outcome predictors may facilitate treatment decisions. The objective of this study was to determine the trend of blood lactate level in acute Al P poisoning to evaluate its role as a prognostic factor.METHODS: This was a prospective study on acute Al P intoxicated patients during one year. Demographic data, clinical and laboratory data on admission, and outcome were recorded in a selfmade questionnaire. Blood lactate levels were analyzed every two hours for 24 hours.RESULTS: Thirty-nine(27 male, 12 female) patients were included in the study. The mortality rate was 38.5%. The mean blood pressure, pulse rate, blood p H and serum bicarbonate level were significantly different between the survivors and non-survivors groups. 17Semi-empirical modeling of volumetric efficiency in engines equipped with variable valve timing system显示文摘Volumetric efficiency and air charge estimation is one of the most demanding tasks in control of today's internal combustion engines.Specifically,using three-way catalytic converter involves strict control of the air/fuel ratio around the stoichiometric point and hence requires an accurate model for air charge estimation.However,high degrees of complexity and nonlinearity of the gas flow in the internal combustion engine make air charge estimation a challenging task.This is more obvious in engines with variable valve timing systems in which gas flow is more complex and depends on more functional variables.This results in models that are either quite empirical(such as look-up tables),not having interpretability and extrapolation capability,or physically based models which are not appropriate for onboard applications.Solving these problems,a novel semi-empirical model was proposed in this work which only needed engine speed,load,and valves timings for volumetric efficiency prediction.The accuracy and generalizability of the model is shown by its test on numerical and experimental data from three distinct engines.Normalized test errors are 0.0316,0.0152 and 0.24 for the three engines,respectively.Also the performance and complexity of the model were compared with neural networks as typical black box models.While the complexity of the model is less than half of the complexity of neural networks,and its computational cost is approximately 0.12 of that of neural networks and its prediction capability in the considered case studies is usually more.These results show the superiority of the proposed model over conventional black box models such as neural networks in terms of accuracy,generalizability and computational cost.Mostafa Ghajar Amir Hasan Ka Kaee Behrooz Mashadi 2016Journal of Central South University2016,23,12:1
