| 1 | Silicon and silicon nitride photonic circuits for spectroscopic sensing on-a-chip [Invited]显示文摘There is a rapidly growing demand to use silicon and silicon nitride(Si3N4) integrated photonics for sensing applications, ranging from refractive index to spectroscopic sensing. By making use of advanced CMOS technology,complex miniaturized circuits can be easily realized on a large scale and at a low cost covering visible to mid-IR wavelengths. In this paper we present our recent work on the development of silicon and Si3N4-based photonic integrated circuits for various spectroscopic sensing applications. We report our findings on waveguide-based absorption, and Raman and surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy. | 3 | Taking silicon photonics modulators to a higher performance level: state-of-the-art and a review of new technologies显示文摘Optical links are moving to higher and higher transmission speeds while shrinking to shorter and shorter ranges where optical links are envisaged even at the chip scale.The scaling in data speed and span of the optical links demands modulators to be concurrently performant and cost-effective.Silicon photonics(SiPh),a photonic integrated circuit technology that leverages the fabrication sophistication of complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor technology,is well-positioned to deliver the performance,price,and manufacturing volume for the high-speed modulators of future optical communication links.SiPh has relied on the plasma dispersion effect,either in injection,depletion,or accumulation mode,to demonstrate efficient high-speed modulators.The high-speed plasma dispersion silicon modulators have been commercially deployed and have demonstrated excellent performance.Recent years have seen a paradigm shift where the integration of various electro-refractive and electro-absorptive materials has opened up additional routes toward performant SiPh modulators.These modulators are in the early years of their development.They promise to extend the performance beyond the limits set by the physical properties of silicon.The focus of our study is to provide a comprehensive review of contemporary(i.e.,plasma dispersion modulators)and new modulator implementations that involve the integration of novel materials with SiPh. | Abdul Rahim Artur Hermans Benjamin Wohlfeil Despoina Petousi Bart Kuyken Dries Van Thourhout Roel Baets | 2021 | Advanced Photonics2021,3,2: | 6 |

| 5 | 抗乙酰胆碱受体单克隆抗体A7诱导实验性自身免疫性重症肌无力作用显示文摘目的探讨抗乙酰胆碱受体单克隆抗体A7(抗-AChR mAb A7)对实验性自身免疫性重症肌无力(EAMG)的作用. 方法经Lewis大鼠腹腔注射5 mL 20倍浓缩的含抗-AChR mAb A7培养上清液,建立EAMG被动转输模型.对照组经腹腔注射同体积的PBS.每8 h监测体重和临床症状评分.48 h后处死实验动物.采用放射免疫法检测AChR,并计算出AChR损失率.结果抗-AChR mAb A7诱导的EAMG模型AChR损失率高达24.3%~45.2%,而且AChR损失率与临床症状评分相关(r=0.74, P<0.01).抗-AChR mAb A7攻击位点在终板的AChR上.结论抗-AChR mAb A7可用于诱导EAMG模型及有关研究. | 张旭 Mario Losen Marc De Baets | 2005 | 中国神经免疫学和神经病学杂志2005,12,2: | 5 |
| 6 | Exertional rhabdomyolysis and heat stroke: Beware of volatile anesthetic sedation显示文摘In view of the enormous popularity of mass sporting events such as half-marathons, the number of patients with exertional rhabdomyolysis or exercise-induced heat stroke admitted to intensive care units(ICUs) has increased over the last decade. Because these patients have been reported to be at risk for malignant hyperthermia during general anesthesia, the intensive care community should bear in mind that the same risk of life-threatening rhabdomyolysis is present when these patients are admitted to an ICU, and volatile anesthetic sedation is chosen as the sedative technique. As illustrated by the three case studies we elaborate upon, a thorough diagnostic work-up is needed to clarify the subsequent risk of strenuous exercise, and the anesthetic exposure to volatile agents in these patients and their families. | 8 | Widely tunable 2.3μm III-V-on-silicon Vernier lasers for broadband spectroscopic sensing显示文摘Heterogeneously integrating III-V materials on silicon photonic integrated circuits has emerged as a promising approach to make advanced laser sources for optical communication and sensing applications. Tunable semiconductor lasers operating in the 2–2.5 μm range are of great interest for industrial and medical applications since many gases(e.g., CO_2, CO, CH_4) and biomolecules(such as blood glucose) have strong absorption features in this wavelength region. The development of integrated tunable laser sources in this wavelength range enables low-cost and miniature spectroscopic sensors. Here we report heterogeneously integrated widely tunable III-V-on-silicon Vernier lasers using two silicon microring resonators as the wavelength tuning components. The laser has a wavelength tuning range of more than 40 nm near 2.35 μm. By combining two lasers with different distributed Bragg reflectors, a tuning range of more than 70 nm is achieved. Over the whole tuning range, the side-mode suppression ratio is higher than 35 dB. As a proof-of-principle, this III-V-on-silicon Vernier laser is used to measure the absorption lines of CO. | 10 | 重症肌无力致病性自身抗体的人工构建显示文摘目的构建一株具有致病性的人抗乙酰胆碱受体(AchR)自身抗体,用于诱导猴实验性自身免疫性重症肌无力(EAMG)模型。方法将分离自重症肌无力(MG)患者胸腺的抗AchR抗体的抗原结合片段(Fab637)克隆至含有免疫球蛋白(IgG1)基因的载体pIgG1,构建能在哺乳类细胞表达完整IgG1类抗AchR抗体(IgG1-637)的重组表达载体(pIgG1-637),将pIgG1-637转染CHO-k1细胞系,筛选出稳定表达IgG1-637的细胞株扩大培养。将纯化的IgG1-637注射5只恒河猴,通过检查猴肌肉收缩强度和复合肌肉运动电位(CMAP),判定猴EAMG发病情况,从而鉴定IgG1-637的致病性。结果20μmol/L MSX(L-methionine sulfoxmine)选择的CHO-k1细胞表达最高水平的抗体IgG1-637,表达产量为17.4μg/ml。3只猴(分别接受1.7、1.7和5.0mg/kg的注射剂量)在注射IgG1-637后1周内出现肌肉收缩无力临床症状,并表现出CMAP减弱现象。结论由Fab637构建的完整的IgG1-637是一株致病性抗AchR抗体,可在猴诱导出EAMG。 | 杨康鹃 孟繁平 魏晶 李强 李红花 李英信 M.Stassen M.de Baets | 2006 | 中华微生物学和免疫学杂志2006,26,8: | 2 |
