2远紫外(200~230 nm)在消毒杀菌领域的潜力显示文摘整理并总结了远紫外(Far-UVC)最新实验的消毒剂量,其对人体安全的实验剂量,以及现行的UV-C曝辐安全限值标准,对远紫外在消毒杀菌领域的应用提出了建议。当前以222 nm为代表的远紫外在实验中可以杀灭新型冠状病毒(SARS-CoV-2),人猪流感(H1N1),冠状病毒alpha HCoV-229E和beta HCoV-OC43等病毒细菌。又有实验采用了达到现行安全剂量标准20倍的222 nm远紫外(有带通滤波器)在鼠类、人类皮肤和鼠类眼睛上进行了急性与慢性辐射,未发现损伤,相较而言253.7 nm紫外线就造成了伤害。以222 nm为代表的远紫外辐射能高效消杀,且在一个很大剂量范围内也不会对人体皮肤和眼睛造成伤害。希望给疫情中正在逐步实践的远紫外应用提供参考。施敏 莫进平 Kevin Baxter 2020中国照明电器2020,,10:12

4An integrative Tai Chi program for patients with breast cancer undergoing cancer therapy:study protocol for a randomized controlled feasibility study显示文摘Background:Breast cancer patients experience various side effects during cancer therapy, often resulting in reduced quality of life and poor adherence to treatment. A limited range of proven interventions has been developed to target such side effects. While Tai Chi offers benefits for the health and well-being of breast cancer survivors, the effectiveness of Tai Chi across the treatment continuum has not been evaluated. Improved patient education and support has been suggested as a priority for breast cancer care. This pilot study assesses the feasibility of a randomized controlled trial(RCT) to evaluate the effectiveness of‘‘an integrative Tai Chi'(ANITA) program for breast cancer patients undergoing cancer therapy.Methods/design: This is a single-centre, two-arm feasibility RCT. Twenty-four patients with breast cancer who have undergone surgical treatment will be recruited from the Dunedin Hospital(New Zealand) over a 12-month period(from August 2017 to July 2018). Subject to informed consent, patients will be randomized to receive standard cancer treatment alone or standard cancer treatment plus the ANITA program, consisting of peer support, health education, and Tai Chi Ruler exercise. The program runs alongside the patient's adjuvant cancer therapy, which may include chemotherapy, radiation therapy,antibody treatment, and/or antihormonal therapy. Analysis in this study will focus on process evaluation of participant recruitment, retention, treatment fidelity, acceptability of the program, and occurrence of adverse events. 7当归芍药散治疗阿尔茨海默病的作用机制实验研究进展显示文摘阿尔茨海默病(AD)是一种起病隐匿并呈进行性发展的神经系统退行性疾病,已成为全球重大健康和社会经济问题。AD发病机制十分复杂,存在β淀粉样蛋白过度沉积、Tau蛋白过度磷酸化、氧化应激、炎症等多种假说,因此迫切需要多途径、多环节、多靶点的整体综合调治措施的干预。这正是中医药的特色与优势。开展和加强中医药治疗本病的研究,具有重大意义。当归芍药散出自《金匮要略》,该方肝脾同调、血水并治,原为疗妇人之疾而设,自20世纪80年代末首次被日本学者用于治疗AD获效后,逐渐被广泛用于临床,疗效确切。阐明此方作用机理有助于其治疗优势的发挥。该文综述近年来相关实验研究进展,就其减少β-淀粉样蛋白过度沉积、抑制Tau蛋白异常磷酸化、改善氧化应激损伤、抑制炎症反应、调节乙酰胆碱相关酶类、增加α7烟碱样乙酰胆碱受体、调节脂质代谢、改善肠道菌群、拮抗神经细胞凋亡、降低胞内Ca2+超载并提高雌二醇激素水平等机制进行论述,以期为阐明此方治疗AD的科学内涵提供文献支持,并为进一步研究奠定基础。陈云慧 夏军 刘丹 刘兴隆 张天娥 DAVID BAXTER George LIU Lizhou 游宇 谢永美 龚圆渊 彭伟 2022中国实验方剂学杂志2022,28,24:3
8Critical size limit of biodegradable nanopartides for enhanced lymph node trafficking and paracortex penetration显示文摘Lymph node (LN) targeti ng through interstitial drain age of nan oparticles (NPs) is an attractive strategy to stimulate a pote nt immune respo nse, as LNs are the primary site for lymphocyte priming by antigen presenting cells (APCs) and triggering of an adaptive immune response. NP size has been shown to influence the efficiency of LN-targeting and retention after subcutaneous injection. For clinical translation, biodegradable NPs are preferred as carrier for vaccine delivery. However, the selective 'size gateM for effective LN-drainage, particularly the kinetics of LN trafficking, is less well defined. This is partly due to the challenge in generating size-controlled NPs from biodegradable polymers in the sub-100-nm range. Here, we report the preparation of three sets of poly(lactic-co-glycolic)-b-poly(ethylene-glycol)(PLGA-b-PEG) NPs with number average diameters of 20-, 40-, and 100-nm and narrow size distributions using flash nanoprecipitation. Using NPs labeled with a near-infrared dye, we showed that 20-nm NPs drain rapidly across proximal and distal LNs following subcutaneous inoculation in mice and are retai ned in LNs more effectively than NPs with a nu mber average diameter of 40-nm. The drain age of 100-nm NPs was n egligible. Furthermore, the 20-nm NPs showed the highest degree of penetration around the paracortex region and had enhanced access to dendritic cells in the LNs. Together, these data confirmed that small, size-controlled PLGA-b-PEG NPs at the lower threshold of about 30-nm are most effective for LN trafficking, retention, and APC uptake after s.c. administration. 9Creating the Conditions for Community Resilience: Aberdeen,Scotland——An Example of the Role of Community Planning Groups显示文摘Governments are increasingly trying to ensure that communities are resilient to the effects of climate change and encourage community empowerment and autonomy. Local resilience planning groups(LRPGs),which include stakeholders with an interest in a local area,are emerging as one potential approach to building community resilience. A conceptual framework has been developed to identify the common requirements for community resilience, building upon existing work in the wider community resilience literature. Aberdeen Resilient,Included and Supported Group, Scotland, UK is an example of a LRPG. In this study the data collected during a workshop with the Aberdeen LRPG were used with the conceptual framework to identify some of the challenges faced when building community resilience. The study examined whether the Aberdeen LRPG illustrates the challenges and constraints faced by LRPGs more widely,and how the membership influences the potential to develop the attributes of community resilience outlined in the conceptual framework. The thematic analysis of the workshop revealed Aberdeen LRPG’s six dominant challenges: engaging with individuals, culture, attitudes,assumptions, terminology, and timescale. These challenges impede the group in utilizing the skills, knowledge, and resources that its members possess to build community resilience. 11Metabolite profile comparisons between ascending and descending colon tissue in healthy adults显示文摘BACKGROUND Obesity is a risk factor for colorectal cancer,yet metabolic distinctions between healthy right and left colon tissue,before cancer is diagnosed,remains largely unknown.This study compared right-ascending and left-descending colon tissue metabolomes to identify differences from the stool metabolome in normal weight,overweight,and obese adults.AIM To examine right and left colon tissue metabolites according to body mass index that may serve as mechanistic targets for interventions and biomarkers for colon cancer risk.METHODS Global,non-targeted metabolomics was applied to assess right-ascending and left-descending colon tissue collected from healthy adults undergoing screening colonoscopies to test the hypothesis that BMI differentially impacts colon tissue metabolite profiles.The colon tissue and stool metabolome of healthy adults(n=24)was analyzed for metabolite signatures and metabolic pathway networks implicated in progression of colorectal cancer.RESULTS Ascending and descending colon contained 504 host,food,and microbiotaderived metabolites from normal weight,overweight and obese adults grouped according to body mass index.Amino acids,lipids,and nucleotides were among the chemical types that further differentiated from the stool metabolite profiles.Normal weight adults had 46 significantly different metabolites between ascending and descending colon tissue locations,whereas there were 37 metabolite differences in overweight and 28 metabolite differences for obese adults(P<0.05).Obese adults had trimethylamine N-oxide,endocannabinoids and monoacylglycerols with different relative abundances identified between ascending and descending colon.Primary and secondary bile acids,vitamins,and fatty acids also showed marked relative abundance differences in colon tissue from overweight/obese adults.CONCLUSION There were metabolite profile differences between right-ascending and leftdescending colon tissue in healthy adults.Colon lipids and other metabolites in obese and overweight adults were distinguished from normal weight participants and associated with gut inflammation,nutrient absorption,and products of microbiota metabolism.Bridget A Baxter Kristopher D Parker Michael J Nosler Sangeeta Rao Rebecca Craig Catherine Seiler Elizabeth P Ryan 2020World Journal of Gastroenterology2020,26,3:2
12Several Types of Similarity Solutions for the Hunter-Saxton Equation显示文摘We study separable and self-similar solutions to the HunterSaxton equation,a nonlinear wave equation which has been used to describe an instability in the director field of a nematic liquid crystal(among other applications).Essentially,we study solutions which arise from a nonlinear inhomogeneous ordinary differential equation which is obtained by an exact similarity transform for the HunterSaxton equation.For each type of solution,we are able to obtain some simple exact solutions in closed-form,and more complicated solutions through an analytical approach.We find that there is a whole family of self-similar solutions,each of which depends on an arbitrary parameter.This parameter essentially controls the manner of self-similarity and can be chosen so that the self-similar solutions agree with given initial data.The simpler solutions found constitute exact solutions to a nonlinear partial differential equation,and hence are also useful in a mathematical sense.Analytical solutions demonstrate the variety of behaviors possible within the wider family of similarity solutions.Both types of solutions cast light on self-similar phenomenon arising in the HunterSaxton equation.Mathew Baxter Robert A.Van Gorder Kuppalapalle Vajravelu 2015Communications in Theoretical Physics2015,63,6:2
