1Differential expression of serum miR-126,miR-141 and miR-21 as novel biomarkers for early detection of liver metastasis in colorectal cancer显示文摘Objective:MicroRNAs(miRNAs) have potential as diagnostic biomarkers in cancer.Evaluation of the association between miRNA expression patterns and early detection of liver metastasis in colorectal cancer(CRC) has not been reported.Methods:We investigated the expression of metastasis-associated miRs-31,335,206,141,126,200b,200c,21,Let7a,Let7b and Let7c in localized,liver-metastatic and other organ-metastatic CRC(OM-CRC).Expressions of target miRNAs in serum were evaluated in 116 consecutive localized CRC(L-CRC),72 synchronous liver-metastatic CRC(SLM-CRC) and 36 other OM-CRC by quantitative real-time PCR.Results:Seven of 11 tested miRNAs could be detected from serum.Four miRNAs,miR-126,Let-7a,miR-141 and miR-21 were identified as metastasis-associated miRNAs.Compared with L-CRC,significant upregulated expression was observed for miR-141 and miR-21 in SLM-CRC and OM-CRC,down-regulated expression was observed for miR-126 in SLM-CRC and OM-CRC,and up-regulated expression of Let-7a in OM-CRC.The receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve showed serum miR-126 had a cut-off [log 10 relative quantity(log 10 RQ)=–0.2005] with 77.78% sensitivity and 68.97% specificity with an area under curve(AUC) of 0.7564,miR-141 had a cut-off(log 10 RQ=–0.2285) with 86.11% sensitivity and 76.11% specificity with an AUC of 0.8279,and miR-21 had a cut-off(log 10 RQ=–0.1310) with 73.61% sensitivity and 66.38% specificity with an AUC of 0.7479.Conclusions:We identified liver metastasis-associated miRNAs,suggesting serum miR-126,miR-141 and miR-21 may be novel biomarkers for clinical diagnosis of early stage liver-metastatic CRC.Jie Yin Zhigang Bai Jianning Song Yun Yang Jin Wang Wei Han Jun Zhang Hua Meng Xuemei Ma Yao Yang Tingting Wang Weirong Li Zhongtao Zhang 2014Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2014,26,1:22

3Burden of colorectal cancer in China, 1990-2017: Findings from the Global Burden of Disease Study 2017显示文摘Objective: Our goal is to analyze the trend of colorectal cancer(CRC) regarding the death, incidence and prevalence rates over time, and to provide epidemiological knowledge basis for health policy revision by comparing data about fatal outcomes of CRC in 2017 to those data in 1990, which was extracted from the Global Burden of Disease(GBD).Methods: The time trend and changes of CRC burden from 1990 to 2017 were measured by using the methods and results from the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation(IHME) GBD 2017, based on the rates of death,incidence and prevalence.Results: The death rate of CRC is 13.24/100,000, accounting for 1.79% of total deaths in China in 2017. In1990, CRC ranked 21 st in all causes of death in China compared to its 11 th ranking in 2017. The death, incidence and prevalence rate of CRC were standardized by the age scale of the global population in 2010, the change of standardized death rate of CRC was not significant, from 9.33/100,000 in 1990 to 10.10/100,000 in 2017. The standardized incidence rate of CRC significantly increased from 12.18/100,000 in 1990 to 22.42/100,000 in 2017.The standardized prevalence rate of CRC significantly increased from 44.55/100,000 in 1990 to 118.40/100,000 in2017. The trend of the prevalence rate in both genders grow higher in 2017 compared to the 1990, resulting in141.6%, 209.8% and 189.0% for the studied three age groups(15-49, 50-69 and 70+ years old), respectively. The death rate increased in the age groups of 50-69 and 70+ years in both genders(8.6% and 31.0% respectively), in contrast to a decrease of death rate in the age group of 15-49 years old(-10.8%).Conclusions: China experienced a stunning increase in terms of incidence and prevalence rate of CRC from1990 to 2017. 4An improved empirical wavelet transform method for rolling bearing fault diagnosis显示文摘Empirical wavelet transform(EWT)based on the scale space method has been widely used in rolling bearing fault diagnosis.However,using the scale space method to divide the frequency band,the redundant components can easily be separated,causing the band to rupture and making it difficult to extract rolling bearing fault characteristic frequency effectively.This paper develops a method for optimizing the frequency band region based on the frequency domain feature parameter set.The frequency domain feature parameter set includes two characteristic parameters:mean and variance.After adaptively dividing the frequency band by the scale space method,the mean and variance of each band are calculated.Sub-bands with mean and variance less than the main frequency band are combined with surrounding bands for subsequent analysis.An adaptive empirical wavelet filter on each frequency band is established to obtain the corresponding empirical mode.The margin factor sensitive to the shock pulse signal is introduced into the screening of empirical modes.The empirical mode with the largest margin factor is selected to envelope spectrum analysis.Simulation and experiment data show this method avoids over-segmentation and redundancy and can extract the fault characteristic frequency easier compared with only scale space methods.HUANG HaiRun LI Ke SU WenSheng BAI JianYi XUE ZhiGang ZHOU Lang SU Lei PECHT Michael 2020Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,11:10
5Genome-wide Dissection of Co-selected UV-B Responsive Pathways in the UV-B Adaptation of Qingke显示文摘Qingke (Tibetan hulless barley) has long been cultivated and exposed to long-term and strong UV-B radiation on the Tibetan Plateau, which renders it an ideal species for elucidating novel UV-B responsive mechanisms in plants. Here we report a comprehensive metabolite profiling and metabolite-based genome-wide association study (mGWAS) using 196 diverse qingke and barley accessions. Our results demonstrated both constitutive and induced accumulation, and common genetic regulation, of metabolites from different branches of the phenylpropanoid pathway that are involved in UV-B protection. A total of 90 significant mGWAS loci for these metabolites were identified in barley-qingke differentiation regions, and a number of high-level metabolite trait alleles were found to be significantly enriched in qingke, suggesting co-selection of various phenylpropanoids. Upon dissecting the entire phenylpropanoid pathway, we identified some key determinants controlling natural variation of phenylpropanoid content, including three novel proteins, a flavone C-pentosyltransferase, a tyramine hydroxycinnamoyl acyltransferase, and a MYB transcription factor. 7Last Deglaciation Climatic Fluctuation Record by the Palaeo-Daocheng Ice Cap, Southeastern Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau显示文摘The last deglaciation, a key period for understanding present and future climate changes, has long been the hot topic for palaeoclimatological study. The Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau(QTP) is often a target study area for understanding hemispheric, or even global environment changes. The glacial landforms on the QTP provide a unique perspective for its climate change. In order to investigate the onset of the last deglaciation at the QTP and its regional correlation, the terrestrial cosmogenic nuclides(TCN) 10 Be and 26 Al surface exposure dating was chosen to date the roche moutonnée, the polished surface and the moraine debris located at the palaeo-Daocheng Ice Cap(pDIC), southeastern QTP. Our results show that the onset of the last deglaciation is at about 19 ka, followed by another warming event occurring around 15 ka in the p-DIC area. These timings agree well with other records, e.g. equivalent with a rapid sea level rise at 19 ka and the onset of B?lling warming event at about 15 ka. 8Microstructure and properties of high emissivity coatings显示文摘A new coating on lining in industrial furnace for energy saving has been developed. Properties and microstructure of the coatings were revealed by emissivity instrument,X-ray diffraction (XRD),transmission electron microscope (TEM) and scanning electron microscope (SEM),respectively. The result indicates that the emissivity of coatings is higher than 0.90 and the thickness of coatings is about 200 μm. ZrO2,Cr2O3 and SiC in the coating benefit practical applications of coatings at high temperature with du-rable high emissivity and the continuous structure between the coatings and the substrate makes the coatings high cohesion and ex-cellent adhesion for both specimens with and without sintering at high temperature. Result from laboratory experiment shows that the heating speed of specimen with coating is higher than that of controlled specimen and the temperature increases 30°C during the heating. The average temperature drop of specimen with coatings has a 13.5% improvement in the cooling speed. The application of coatings on the checker brick in a blast furnace of 1750m3 indicates that the coating causes the blast temperature to an average in-crease of 28°C,reduces the fluctuation of blast temperature before the blowing-in and leads to a fuel saving of 10% approximately.Zhigang Dan Daqiang Cang Huimin Zhou Hao Bai Yanbin Zong 2008Journal of University of Science and Technology Beijing2008,15,5:6

10Cosmogenic ^(10)Be and ^(26)Al Chronology of the Last Glaciation of the Palaeo-Daocheng Ice Cap,Southeastern Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau显示文摘The glacial landforms of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau(QTP) provide a unique opportunity to research hemispheric and global environmental changes. In this study,we focus on the glacial history of the palaeo-Daocheng Ice Cap(p-DIC) in the southeastern QTP during the last glacial cycle. Based on field investigations,morphostratigraphy,and surface exposure dating of roche moutonnée,polished surface and moraine debris through the terrestrial cosmogenic nuclides(TCN) 10 Be and 26 Al. We identify glacial deposits of the last deglaciation,with minimum ages of 14.9±1.3–18.7±1.7 ka,the Last Glacial Maximum(LGM) of 24.7±2.2 ka,and the early part of the last glacial period(marine oxygen isotope stage(MIS) 3) of 37.1±3.4–45.2±3.9 ka. Our results show that in this region,the extent of the glacial advance during MIS 3 was larger than that during the traditional LGM(MIS 2). These ages are consistent with prior chronologies,and the 10 Be age is consistent with the 26 Al age for the same sample. 11Comparative study on thermal cracking characteristics and bio-oil production from different microalgae using Py-GC/MS显示文摘The yield and chemical composition of pyrolysis products of Chlorella pyrenoidosa and Schizochytrium limacinum were determined using thermogravimetric analyzer(TGA)and pyrolysis-gas chromatographic mass spectrometry(Py-GC/MS)by varying the temperature ranges.After further analysis of the total ion current(TIC)diagrams of Chlorella pyrenoidosa and Schizochytrium limacinum,it was concluded that both the pyrolysis products of each sample were mainly comprised of hydrocarbons,aromatics,fatty acids,nitrogen compounds,PAHs,phenols,etc,however,the relative content of each compound from Chlorella pyrenoidosa and Schizochytrium limacinum was different.The pyrolysis of Chlorella pyrenoidosa and Schizochytrium limacinum at 350℃ produced a maximum yield of bio-oil production(44.32%and 60.99%);moreover,Chlorella pyrenoidosa could lead to more pollutants(nitrogen compounds and PAHs)release(2.71%)compared to that of Schizochytrium limacinum(0.7%).Considering the reasonable bio-oil production and minimum release of pollutants,Schizochytrium limacinum was found to be superior for producing biofuel against Chlorella pyrenoidosa.Gang Li Fang Ji Xue Bai Yuguang Zhou Renjie Dong Zhigang Huang 2019International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2019,12,1:5

13Size,morphology,and composition of lunar samples returned by Chang'E-5 mission显示文摘This study focuses on the physical and chemical properties of surficial lunar regolith(LR)samples returned from the Moon by the Chang’E-5(CE-5)mission.Insights regarding the effect of a new sampling geological site on the surficial lunar sample CE5 C0400 were illustrated using nondestructive techniques such as laser diffractometry coupled with image analysis,X-ray computed tomography,and field emission scanning electron microscopy equipped with energy dispersive spectroscopy,and Xray diffraction combined with Rietveld refinement.From the characterization analyses,the CE-5 sampling site in the northeastern Oceanus Procellarum on the Moon yields a unique collection of relatively regular-shaped and fine basalt-dominated particles.The median grain size D_(50) is(55.24±0.96)μm,falling within the relatively low end of the range of the Apollo lunar returned samples.The coefficient of uniformity C_(u)of 15.1 and the coefficient of curvature C_(c)of 1.7 could classify CE5 C0400 to be well-graded.The minerals in CE5 C0400 comprise approximately 44.5%pyroxene,30.4%plagioclase,3.6%olivine,and6.0%ilmenite.There is a relatively low content of approximately 15.5%glass phase in the CE-5 lunar sample.From the results,we deduce that the CE-5 LR structure could have mainly resulted from micrometeoroid impacts to achieve such a high level of maturity.Hui Zhang Xian Zhang Guang Zhang Keqi Dong Xiangjin Deng Xiaosong Gao Yaodong Yang Yuan Xiao Xiao Bai Kaixin Liang Yiwei Liu Wenbin Ma Shaofan Zhao Ce Zhang Xiaojing Zhang Jian Song Wei Yao Hong Chen Weihua Wang Zhigang Zou Mengfei Yang 2022Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2022,65,2:4
14Study of-amyloid adsorption and aggregation on graphite by STM and AFM显示文摘The scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) and the atomic force microscopy (AFM) have been applied to the direct study of the adsorption and aggregation of -amyloid(1-42)(A42) on the hydrophobic graphite surface. It was found that A42 were preferentially adsorbed on graphite defects such as the edges. A42 peptides self-assembled into intermediate protofibrils, which in turn self-associated to form fibrils. Usually, two or more fibrils intertwined to form the helical structure. 16M2-specific reduction of CD1d switches NKT cell-mediated immune responses and triggers metaflammation in adipose tissue显示文摘Metaflammation is responsible for several metabolic syndromes,such as type 2 diabetes.However,the mechanisms by which metabolic disorders trigger metaflammation remain unclear.We identified a cell type-specific downregulation of CD1d expression in M2 macrophages during the progression of obesity prior to the onset of inflammation in visceral adipose tissues.A reduction in CD1d expression influenced the ability of M2 macrophages to present antigens and caused a change in antigen-presenting cells from M2 macrophages to M1 macrophages.With CD1d conditional knockout(KO)mice,we further demonstrated that natural killer T(NKT)cell activation by M2 macrophages inhibited metaflammation and insulin resistance by promoting Th2 responses and M2 polarization in visceral adipose tissues of obese mice,whereas NKT cell activation by M1 macrophages exacerbated metaflammation and insulin resistance by promoting Th1 responses and inhibiting M2 polarization.Our results suggest that an M2-specific reduction of CD1d is an initiating event that switches NKT cell-mediated immune responses and disrupts the immune balance in visceral adipose tissues in obese mice.Huimin Zhang Rufeng Xue Shasha Zhu Sicheng Fu Zuolong Chen Rongbin Zhou Zhigang Tian Li Bai 2018Cellular & Molecular Immunology2018,15,5:3

18Cylindrical polymer brushes-anisotropic unimolecular micelle drug delivery system for enhancing the effectiveness of chemotherapy显示文摘Polymer systems can be designed into different structures and morphologies according to their physical and chemical performance requirements,and are considered as one of the most promising controlled delivery systems that can effectively improve the cancer therapeutic index.However,the majority of the polymer delivery systems are designed to be simple spherical nanostructures.To explore morphology/size-oriented delivery performance optimization,here,we synthesized three novel cylindrical polymer brushes(CPBs)by atom transfer radical polymerization(ATRP),which were cellulose-g-(CPT-b-OEGMA)(CCO)with different lengths(~86,~40,and~21 nm).The CPBs are composed of bio-degradable cellulose as the carrier,poly(ethylene glycol)methyl ether methacrylate(OEGMA)as hydrophily block,and glutathione(GSH)-responsive hydrophobic camptothecin(CPT)monomer as loaded anticancer drug.By controlling the chain length of the initiator,three kinds of polymeric prodrugs with different lengths(CCO-1,CCO-2,and CCO-3)could be self-organized into unimolecular micelles in water.We carried out comparative studies of three polymers,whose results verified that the shorter CPBs exhibited higher drug release efficiency,more cellular uptake,and enhanced tumor permeability,accompanied by shortened blood circulation time and lower tumor accumulation.As evidenced by in vivo experiments,the shorter CPBs exhibited higher anti-tumor efficiency,revealing that the size advantage has a higher priority than the anisotropic structure advantage.This provided vital information as to design an anisotropic polymer-based drug delivery system for cancer therapy.Shuang Bai Die Jia Xianbin Ma Mengyun Liang Peng Xue Yuejun Kang Zhigang Xu 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,9:2
19New method to implement digital down converter in radar system显示文摘Digital down converter (DDC) is the main part of the next generation high frequency (HF) radar. In order to realize the single chip integrations of digital receiver hardware in the next generation HF Radar, a new design for DDC by using FPGA is presented. Some important and practical applications are given in this paper, and the result can prove the validity. 20Quantum efficiency and temperature coefficients of GaInP/GaAs dual-junction solar cell显示文摘GaInP/GaAs dual-junction solar cell with a conversion efficiency of 25.2% has been fabricated using metalorganic chemical vapor deposition(MOCVD) technique.Quantum efficiencies of the solar cell were measured within a temperature range from 25 to 160 ℃.The results indicate that the quantum ef-ficiencies of the subcells increase slightly with the increasing temperature.And red-shift phenomena of absorption limit for all subcells are observed by increasing the cell's work temperature,which are consistent with the viewpoint of energy gap narrowing effect.The short-circuit current density tem-perature coefficients dJsc/dT of GaInP subcell and GaAs subcell are determined to be 8.9 and 7.4 μA/cm2/℃ from the quantum efficiency data,respectively.And the open-circuit cell voltage temperature coefficients dVoc/dT calculated based on a theoretical equation are-2.4 mV/℃ and-2.1 mV/℃ for GaInP subcell and GaAs subcell.LIU Lei CHEN NuoFu BAI YiMing CUI Ming ZHANG Han GAO FuBao YIN ZhiGang ZHANG XingWang 2009Science China(Technological Sciences)2009,52,5:2
