| 1 | Reverse reconciliation for continuous variable quantum key distribution显示文摘An efficient and practical post-processing technique based on reverse reconciliation for continuous variable quantum key distribution is proposed and simulated with low-density parity check (LDPC) codes. MultiLevel Coding/ MultiStage Decoding, which fully utilizes optimization technique such as vector quantization and iterative decoding and the optimal channel coding most close to the Shannon limit, was used to realize efficient reverse reconciliation algorithm. Simulation results showed that the proposed method can improve the secure key distribution rate to 2.2 kb/s and the coding efficiency to 0.89 over 20 km in single-mode optical fiber. | 2 | Emerging importance of shale gas to both the energy & chemicals landscape显示文摘This perspectives article is intended highlight the growing importance and emergence of shale gas as an energy resource and as a source of chemicals. Over the next decades huge amounts of newly discovered deposits of trapped gas are expected to be produced not only in the USA but elsewhere providing a wealth of methane and ethane not only used for energy production, but also for conversion to lower hydrocarbon chemicals. This manuscript seeks to focus on the potential of trapped natural gas around the world. The potential new volumes of trapped gas within shale or other mineral strata coming to the marketplace offer a tremendous opportunity if scientists can invent new, cost effective ways to convert this methane to higher value chemicals. | 3 | Theoretical calculation of the finishing rolling impact work in non-quenched and tempered Si-Mn steel显示文摘Based on the hot-continuous rolling technology, the finishing rolling impact work α k of the non-quenched and tempered Si-Mn steel is theoretically calculated with the covalent electron number nA of the strongest bond in alloying phases, and the smallest interface electron density difference Δρ of alloying phase interface and the number of atom states σ which keep the interface electron density continuous. Calculations show that the solution strengthening, the precipitation strengthening, and the interface strengthening will result in the decrease of the finishing rolling impact work α k, and the effects of the number of atom states σ which keep the interface electron density continuous on the finishing rolling impact work α k are different. Taking the impact work and the number of atom states σ 0 keeping the electron density continuous of the phase interface α-Fe/α-Fe-C between α-Fe and α-Fe-C as reference values, the impact work of the interface will increase when σ of some interface is larger than σ 0; otherwise, the impact will decrease. Therefore, the finishing rolling impact work α k can be calculated with the impact value of the refined α-Fe matrix and the influence amounts caused by the solution strengthening, the precipitation strengthening, the interface strengthening, and the number of atom states σ which keep the interface electron density continuous. | 4 | Eigenstructure Assignment in a Class of Second-order Descriptor Linear Systems: A Complete Parametric Approach显示文摘In this paper eigenstructure assignment via proportional-plus-derivative feedback is investigated for a class of second-order descriptor linear systems. Under certain conditions, simple, general and complete parametric solutions of both finite closed-loop eigenvector matrices and feedback gain matrices are derived. The parametric approach utilizes directly original system data, involves manipulations only on n-dimensional matrices, and reveals all the design degrees of freedom which can be further utilized to achieve certain additional system specifications.
