1Approaching 18%efficiency of ternary organic photovoltaics with wide bandgap polymer donor and well compatible Y6:Y6-1O as acceptor显示文摘A series of ternary organic photovoltaics(OPVs)are fabricated with one wide bandgap polymer D18-Cl as donor,and well compatible Y6 and Y6-1O as acceptor.The open-circuit-voltage(V_(OC))of ternary OPVs is monotonously increased along with the incorporation of Y6-1O,indicating that the alloy state should be formed between Y6 and Y6-1O due to their excellent compatibility.The energy loss can be minimized by incorporating Y6-1 O,leading to the V_(OC)improvement of ternary OPVs.By finely adjusting the Y6-1O content,a power conversion efficiency of 17.91%is achieved in the optimal ternary OPVs with 30 wt%Y6-1O in acceptors,resulting from synchronously improved short-circuit-current density(JSC)of 25.87 mA cm^(-2),fill factor(FF)of 76.92%and V_(OC)of 0.900 V in comparison with those of D18-Cl:Y6 binary OPVs.The JSC and FF improvement of ternary OPVs should be ascribed to comprehensively optimal photon harvesting,exciton dissociation and charge transport in ternary active layers.The more efficient charge separation and transport process in ternary active layers can be confirmed by the magnetophotocurrent and impedance spectroscopy experimental results,respectively.This work provides new insight into constructing highly efficient ternary OPVs with well compatible Y6 and its derivative as acceptor.Xiaoling Ma Anping Zeng Jinhua Gao Zhenghao Hu Chunyu Xu Jae Hoon Son Sang Young Jeong Caixia Zhang Mengyang Li Kai Wang He Yan Zaifei Ma Yongsheng Wang Han Young Woo Fujun Zhang 2021National Science Review2021,8,8:3
2Comparing community birdwatching and professional bird monitoring with implications for avian diversity research: a case study of Suzhou, China显示文摘Background:In the past decades,birdwatching as a hobby developed rapidly and produced ample scientific records that have aided conservation efforts.Therefore,it is increasingly attractive to promote avian research by providing data from birdwatching.Methods:We compared records from 16 years of community birdwatching and a 1-year formalized bird monitoring in Suzhou,China to study the similarities and differences between the two monitoring methods.Results:We showed that within the 325 bird species recorded by the two methods,an annual average of 108 species were documented by community science and 223 bird species were recorded by 1-year formalized monitoring.Measured by the number of bird species recorded per survey trip,the bird monitoring activity of community birdwatchers was significantly lower.Furthermore,the monitoring intensity of community birdwatching measured as the average survey trips per site each survey year was also lower than that of formalized bird monitoring.In addition,community birdwatchers preferred urban landscapes to rural areas.Conclusions:Community birdwatching could record the majority of local birds and complements the professional surveys in avian research.Well designed and coordinated community science can be used to expand the knowledge about avian distribution and population dynamics.These findings are critical for the development of conservation science with regard to community involvement.Yan Zhou Anping Chen Jenny QOuyang Yanlin Liu Aiyu Zheng Zaixi Yang Yong Zhang Bin Wang Yifei Jia Shengwu Jiao Qing Zeng Changhu Lu 2020Avian Research2020,11,2:2

12Heteroheptacene-based acceptors with thieno[3,2-b]pyrrole yield high-performance polymer solar cells显示文摘Rationally utilizing and developing synthetic units is of particular significance for the design of high-performance non-fullerene small-molecule acceptors(SMAs).Here,a thieno[3,2-b]pyrrole synthetic unit was employed to develop a set of SMAs(ThPy1,ThPy2,ThPy3 and ThPy4)by changing the number or the position of the pyrrole ring in the central core based on a standard SMA of IT-4Cl,compared to which the four thieno[3,2-b]pyrrole-based acceptors exhibit bathochromic absorption and upshifted frontier orbital energy level due to the strong electron-donating ability of pyrrole.As a result,the polymer solar cells(PSCs)of the four thieno[3,2-b]pyrrole-based acceptors yield higher open-circuit voltage and lower energy loss relative to those of the IT-4Cl-based device.What is more,the ThPy3-based device achieves a power conversion efficiency(PCE)(15.3%)and an outstanding fill factor(FF)(0.771)that are superior to the IT-4Cl-based device(PCE=12.6%,FF=0.758).The ThPy4-based device realizes the lowest energy loss and the smallest optical band gap,and the ternary PSC device based on PM6:BTP-eC9:ThPy4 exhibits a PCE of 18.43%and a FF of 0.802.Overall,this work sheds light on the great potential of thieno[3,2-b]pyrrole-based SMAs in realizing low energy loss and high PCE.Zhenghui Luo Ruijie Ma Jianwei Yu Heng Liu Tao Liu Fan Ni Jiahao Hu Yang Zou Anping Zeng Chun-Jen Su U-Ser Jeng Xinhui Lu Feng Gao Chuluo Yang He Yan 2022National Science Review2022,9,7:0
