1Role of Reactive Oxygen Species in Triptolide-induced Apoptosis of Renal Tubular Cells and Renal Injury in Rats显示文摘This study investigated the role of reactive oxygen species(ROS) in the pathogenesis of triptolide-induced renal injury in vivo.Rats were randomly divided into 4 groups(n=5 in each):triptolide group in which the rats were intraperitoneally injected with triptolide solution at a dose of 1 mg/kg of body weight on day 8;control group in which the rats received a single intraperitoneal injection of 0.9% physiological saline on day 8;vitamin C group in which the rats were pretreated with vitamin C by gavage at a dose of 250 mg/kg of body weight per day for 7 days before the same treatment as the control group on day 8;triptolide+vitamin C group in which the rats were first subjected to an oral administration of vitamin C at a dose of 250 mg/kg of body weight per day for 7 days,and then to the same treatment as the triptolide group on day 8.All the rats were sacrificed on day 10.Blood samples were collected for detection of plasma creatinine(Pcr) and plasma urea nitrogen(PUN) concentrations.Both kidneys were removed.The histological changes were measured by haematoxylin-eosin(HE) staining.The production of ROS was determined by detecting the fluorescent intensity of the oxida-tion-sensitive probe rhodamine 123 in renal tissue.Renal malondialdehyde(MDA) content was meas-ured to evaluate lipid peroxidation level in renal tissue.TUNEL staining was performed to assess apop-tosis of renal tubular cells.Renal expression of apoptosis-related proteins Bcl-2,Bax,Bid,Bad,Fas and FasL,as well as corresponding encoding genes were assessed by Western Blotting and real-time PCR.The results showed that triptolide treatment promoted the generation of a great amount of ROS,up-regulated the expression of Bax,Bid,Bad,Fas and FasL at both protein and mRNA levels,as well as the ratio of Bax to Bcl-2,and caused the apoptosis of renal tubular cells and renal injury.However,pretreatment with an antioxidant,vitamin C,significantly reduced the generation of ROS and effectively inhibited the triptolide-induced apoptosis of renal tubular cells and renal injury.It was concluded that ROS plays a critical role in triptolide-induced apoptosis of renal tubular cells and renal injury.The protective administration of vitamin C may help alleviate triptolide-induced renal injury and nephrotoxicity.杨帆 卓荦 Sunnassee Ananda 孙婷怡 李上勋 刘良 2011Journal of Huazhong University of Science and Technology(Medical Sciences)2011,31,3:15
2Effect of Biophytum sensitivum on streptozotocin and nicotinamideinduced diabetic rats显示文摘Objective:To investigate the effect of aqueous solution of Biophytum sensUiuum leaf extract(BSEt)on normal and strcptozotocin(STZ)-nicotinamide-induced diabetic rats.Methods:Diabetes was induced in adult male Wislar rata by the administration of STZ-nicotinamide(40,110 mg/kg b.w.,respectively)intraperitoneally.BSEt(200 mg/kg)was administered to diabetic rats for 28 days.The effect of extract on blood glucose,plasma insulin,total haemoglobin,glycosylated haemoglobin,liver glycogen and carbohydrate melatxilism regulating enzymes of liver was studied in diabetic rats.Results:BSEt significantly reduced the blood glucose and glycosylated haemoglobin levels and significantly increased the total haemoglobin,plasma insulin and liver glycogen levels in diabetic rats.It also increased the hexokinase activity and decreased glucose-6-phosphatase,fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase activities in diabetic rats.Conclusions:The results of our study suggest that BSEt possesses a promising effecl on STZ-nicotinamide-induced diabetes.Ananda Prabu K Kumarappan CT Sunil Christudas Kalaichelvan VK 2012Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2012,2,1:5
3Transfer Learning for Multi-Crop Leaf Disease Image Classification using Convolutional Neural Network VGG显示文摘In recent times,the use of artificial intelligence(AI)in agriculture has become the most important.The technology adoption in agriculture if creatively approached.Controlling on the diseased leaves during the growing stages of crops is a crucial step.The disease detection,classification,and analysis of diseased leaves at an early stage,as well as possible solutions,are always helpful in agricultural progress.The disease detection and classification of different crops,especially tomatoes and grapes,is a major emphasis of our proposed research.The important objective is to forecast the sort of illness that would affect grapes and tomato leaves at an early stage.The Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)methods are used for detecting Multi-Crops Leaf Disease(MCLD).The features extraction of images using a deep learning-based model classified the sick and healthy leaves.The CNN based Visual Geometry Group(VGG)model is used for improved performance measures.The crops leaves images dataset is considered for training and testing the model.The performance measure parameters,i.e.,accuracy,sensitivity,specificity precision,recall and F1-score were calculated and monitored.The main objective of research with the proposed model is to make on-going improvements in the performance.The designed model classifies disease-affected leaves with greater accuracy.In the experiment proposed research has achieved an accuracy of 98.40%of grapes and 95.71%of tomatoes.The proposed research directly supports increasing food production in agriculture.Ananda S.Paymode Vandana B.Malode 2022Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture2022,,1:4

6Synthesis of 4-acylpyrazolone Schiff base ligand grafted silica and selectivity in adsorption of lanthanides from aqueous solutions显示文摘The Schiff base form of the 4-acylpyrazolone ligand was immobilized on the silica surface by reaction of 3-aminopropyl silica with 4-acetyl-5-methyl-2-phenyl-2,4-dihydro-pyrazol-3-one in 97% yield, producing grafted silica with 0.77 mmol/g ligand loading. This surface modified silica was shown to be selective in the adsorption of Yb3+ ions from dilute aqueous solutions, for which 98% adsorption was observed from a 1.0×10-5 mol/L aq. solution at pH 6.7, after 24 h at room temperature.
