| 9 | Chronic neuroprotective effects of low concentration lithium on SH-SY5Y cells:possible involvement of stress proteins and gene expression显示文摘To investigate the molecular mechanism underlying the neuroprotective effect of lithium on cells, in this study, we exposed SH-SY5Y cells to 0.5 mmol/L lithium carbonate(Li2CO2) for 25–50 weeks and then detected the expression levels of some neurobiology related genes and post-translational modifications of stress proteins in SH-SY5Y cells. cDNA arrays showed that pyruvate kinase 2(PKM2) and calmodulin 3(CaM 3) expression levels were significantly down-regulated, phosphatase protein PP2A expression was lightly down-regulated, and casein kinase II(CK2), threonine/tyrosine phosphatase 7(PYST2), and dopamine beta-hydroxylase(DBH) expression levels were significantly up-regulated. Besides, western blot analysis of stress proteins(HSP27, HSP70, GRP78 and GRP94) showed an over-expression of two proteins: a 105 kDa protein which is a hyper-phosphorylated isoform of GRP94, and a 108 kDa protein which is a phosphorylated tetramer of HSP27. | 12 | Epistasis and Maternal Effect in Resistance to Puccinia coronata Cda.f.sp. avenae Eriks in Oats(Avena sp.)显示文摘The objective of this paper was to investigate the mode of heredity for resistance in oats(Avena sp.)to crown rust caused by Puccinia coronata Cda.f.sp.avenae Eriks.Eight generations of 2 crosses were used to estimate genetic effects and narrow-sense heritability(NSH).Separate generation means analysis(GMA)indicated a complex gene action controlling this trait with additive,dominance,epistatic and maternal effects(ME).The genetic model which assumed no epistasis and no ME did not accurately describe the resistance to P.coronata.In both crosses,the digenic epistatic model with ME was sufficient to explain variation in generation means for isolate CRPc58 and isolate CRPc46.Additive dominance and epistatic components were negative in most cases,suggesting that gene effects contributed more to the resistance than to the susceptibility.The estimated values of NSH were 15-99% depending upon the cross and isolates.The results indicated that appropriate choice of maternal parent and recurrent selection would increase resistance to crown rust in oats. | Bnejdi F Hammami I Allagui M B Saadoun M el Gazzah M | 2010 | Agricultural Sciences in China2010,9,10: | 0 |
| 13 | Effect of Recycling Cycles on the Mechanical and Damping Properties of Flax Fibre Reinforced Elium Composite:Experimental and Numerical Studies显示文摘This manuscript deals with the effects of recycling on the static and dynamic properties of flax fibers reinforced thermoplastic composites.The corresponding thermoplastic used in this work is Elium resin.It’s the first liquid thermoplastic resin that allows the production of recycled composite parts with promising mechanical behavior.It appeared on the resin market in 2014.But until now,no studies were available concerning how it can be recycled and reused.For this study,a thermocompression recycling process was investigated and applied to Elium resin.Flax fiber-reinforced Elium composites were produced using a resin infusion process and were subjected to different thermomechanical recycling operations.For each material,five recycling operations were carried out on the raw material.A total of 10 different materials were investigated and tested by means of tensile and free vibration tests to evaluate the effect of recycling on their behavior.In addition,a finite element model of the dynamic problem was developed to evaluate the loss factor and natural frequencies regarding different cases.The results obtained show that the failure tensile properties of Elium resin as well as flax fiber reinforced composites decrease during recycling operations.Conversely,recycling induces a rise in the elastic modulus.Moreover,improvement in the dynamic stiffness was observed with recycling operations.But repeated recycling appeared to have negligible effects on the loss factor of the recycled materials.The results obtained from the experiment and the numerical analyses were in close agreement. | Sami Allagui Abderrahim El Mahi Jean-Luc Rebiere Moez Beyaoui Anas Bouguecha Mohamed Haddar | 2021 | Journal of Renewable Materials2021,9,4: | 0 |
