| 2 | A pilot study of antioxidant potential of endophytic fungi from some Sudanese medicinal plants显示文摘Objective: To evaluate the total phenolic content and total antioxidant capacity of ethyl acetate extracts of 21 endophytic fungi isolated from five Sudanese medicinal plants: Calotropis procera, Catharanthus roseus, Euphorbia prostrate, Vernonia amygdalina and Trigonella foenumgraecum. Methods: Crude extracts of endophytic fungi and their host plants were tested by classical Folin-Ciocalteu colorimetric method to determine the total phenolic content, also total antioxidant capacity was estimated using 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl free radical scavenging in vitro method. Results: Among the endophytes, endophytic fungus Aspergillus sp. from Trigonella foenum-graecum seeds demonstrated the highest both total phenolic content in term of gallic acid equivalent(GAE) [(89.9±7.1 mg GAE/g)] and antioxidant activity for 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl radical scavenging assay [IC50:(18.0±0.1 μg/m L)]. A high positive linear correlation(R2=0.999 1) was found between total antioxidant capacity and total phenolic content of endophytic fungi isolated from Vernonia amygdalina. | 3 | EFNS偏头痛药物治疗指南——EFNS特别工作组修订报告显示文摘背景偏头痛是最常见的失能性神经疾病之一,会严重损害患者的生活质量。目的在文献检索和专家共识的基础上,对特殊类型偏头痛综合征的各种药物治疗方案提供循证或专家推荐。方法从现有的所有医学参考文献系统中筛选出关于有先兆型或无先兆型偏头痛以及偏头痛样综合征的各种类型临床资料进行分析。根据欧洲神经病学学会联盟(European Federation of Neurological Societies,EFNS)制定的推荐意见分级方案对这些研究结果进行评价,从而确定A级、B级或C级推荐和良好的临床实践要点。推荐意见推荐口服非甾体消炎药(non-steroidalanti-inflammatory drug,NSAID)和曲坦类药物用于偏头痛发作的急性期治疗。用药方案应遵循分层治疗观念。在口服NSAID和曲坦类药物之前,推荐口服甲氧氯普胺或多潘立酮。在极重度偏头痛发作时,首选静脉注射乙酸水杨酸或皮下注射舒马曲坦。偏头痛持续状态可用类固醇治疗,虽然并非总是有效;也可用二氢麦角胺治疗。β-受体阻滞药(普萘洛尔和美托洛尔)、氟桂利嗪、丙戊酸和托吡酯可作为偏头痛预防性治疗的首选用药,其次可选用阿米替林、萘普生、蜂斗菜烯碱和比索洛尔。 | S.Evers J. | 4 | Spatial assessment of forest cover and land-use changes in the Hindu-Kush mountain ranges of northern Pakistan显示文摘Anthropogenic activities and natural processes are continuously altering the mountainous environment through deforestation, forest degradation and other land-use changes. It is highly important to assess, monitor and forecast forest cover and other land-use changes for the protection and conservation of mountainous environment. The present study deals with the assessment of forest cover and other land-use changes in the mountain ranges of Dir Kohistan in northern Pakistan, using high resolution multi-temporal SPOT-5 satellite images. The SPOT-5 satellite images of years 2004, 2007, 2010 and 2013 were acquired and classified into land-cover units. In addition, forest cover and land-use change detection map was developed using the classified maps of 2004 and 2013. The classified maps were verified through random field samples and Google Earth imagery(Quick birds and SPOT-5). The results showed that during the period 2004 to 2013 the area of forest land decreased by 6.4%, however, area of range land and agriculture land have increased by 22.1% and 2.9%, respectively. Similarly, barren land increased by 1.1%, whereas, area of snow cover/glacier is significantly decreased by 21.3%.
