| 1 | 北京地区的闪电时空分布特征及不同强度雷暴的贡献显示文摘利用北京闪电定位网(BLNET,Beijing Lightning Network)和SAFIR3000(Surveillance et Alerte Foudre par Interometrie Radioelectrique)定位网7年共423次雷暴的闪电资料,并按照雷暴产生闪电多少,同时参考雷达回波和雷暴持续时间,将雷暴划分为弱雷暴(≤1000次)、强雷暴(>1000次且≤10000次)和超强雷暴(>10000次),分析了北京地区的闪电时空分布特征及不同强度等级雷暴对闪电分布的贡献。北京总闪电密度最大值约为15.4 flashes km-2a(^-1),平均值约为1.9 flashes km^-2a(^-1),大于8 flashes km^-2a(^-1)的闪电密度高值区基本分布在海拔高度200 m等高线以下的平原地带。不同强度雷暴对总雷暴闪电总量贡献不同,弱雷暴(超强雷暴)次数多(少),产生的闪电少(多),超强雷暴和强雷暴产生的闪电分别占总雷暴闪电的37%和56%。不同强度雷暴对总雷暴的闪电密度高值中心分布和闪电日变化特征影响显著,昌平区东部、顺义区中东部和北京主城区是总雷暴闪电密度大于12 flashes km-2a(-1)的三个主要高值区中心,前两个高值中心受强雷暴影响大,而主城区高值中心主要受超强雷暴影响。总雷暴晚上频繁的闪电活动主要受超强雷暴和强雷暴影响,这两类雷暴晚上闪电活动活跃,分别占各自总闪电的69%和65%,而弱雷暴闪电活动白天陡增很快,对总雷暴午后的闪电活动影响大。另外,不同下垫面条件闪电日变化差异大,山区最强的闪电活动出现在白天,午后闪电活动增强很快,主峰值出现在北京时间18:00,而平原最强的闪电活动发生在晚上,平原(山麓)的主峰值比山区推迟了约1.5小时(1小时)。 | 王东方 郄秀书 袁善锋 孙竹玲 陈志雄 李进梁 张鸿波 刘明远 SRIVASTAVA Abhay 刘冬霞 | 2020 | 大气科学2020,44,2: | 18 |

| 4 | Does a staged treatment of high energy tibial plateau fractures affect functional results and bony union?A case series显示文摘Purpose:Tibial plateau fracture(TPF)is a devastating injury as it shatters lower articular surface of the largest joint.Apart from bony injury,TPF can lead to great soft tissue envelope compromise which affects the treatment plan and outcome.In the present study,clinical results were assessed in cases of high energy TPFs treated in staged manner.Methods:Twenty-three(20 males and 3 females)patients of high energy communited TPFs(Schatzker typeⅤandⅥ)were consecutively treated.1 All the patient had compromise of overlying skin conditions.They were all successively scheduled for staged treatment plan which comprised of application of bridging knee external fixator on the first day of admission and definitive internal fixation after skin and soft tissue overlying the fracture were healed.Schatzker typeⅠ,Ⅱ,ⅢandⅣwere excluded from the study.Primary survey was done and patient who had head injury,chest and abdominal injury,pelvic injury and contralateral limb injury and open fractures were excluded from the study.The patients were also evaluated in terms of wound complications,axial and rotary alignment of limb,fixation failure,articular congruity and range of motion of the knees and post injury employment.Statistical analysis was done using SPSS software.Results:Maximum follow-up period was 13 months.All the fractures were united at final follow-up.Clinical evaluation was done with the Tegner Lysholm knee scoring scale.2 Excellent results were found in 78%cases and good and fair results in 22%cases.There was significant correlation between range of motion and the Tegner Lysholm knee score(p<0.001,Pearson correlation coefficient=0.741).The correlation between the score and the radiographical union duration was significant(p=0.006,Pearson correlation coefficient=-0.554).Conclusion:A staged treatment plan allows healing of soft tissue envelope,with avoidance of dreadful complications such as compartment syndrome and chronic infection.In addition,a staged treatment strategy does not hamper the fracture reduction,bony union and the functional results. | Nilesh Barwar Abhay Elhence Sumit Banerjee Nitesh gahlot | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Traumatology2020,23,4: | 7 |
| 5 | Aceclofenac-induced hepatotoxicity:An ameliorative effect of Terminalia bellirica fruit and ellagic acid显示文摘BACKGROUND Aceclofenac(ACF),a widely used nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug,has been associated with a number of severe cases of clinical hepatotoxicity.Terminalia bellirica,an evergreen tree,is known to have several ethnomedicinal uses including antioxidant and hepatoprotective effects.Hence T.bellirica fruit extracts and its phytoconstituent ellagic acid(EA)are expected to provide protection against oxidative stress and liver damage produced by long-term use of ACF.AIM To evaluate the antioxidant and hepatoprotective activities of T.bellirica fruit extracts and EA against ACF-induced toxicity in albino Wistar rats.METHODS The in vitro antioxidant activities of T.bellirica fruit ethyl acetate and aqueous extracts were measured by metal ion chelation and nitric oxide radical scavenging assays.The in vivo antioxidant and hepatoprotective effects of T.bellirica extracts(200 mg/kg)and EA(40 mg/kg)in ACF-induced hepatotoxic rats were assessed in serum and liver tissue after oral administration for 21 d.Silymarin(40 mg/kg)was used as a standard control.Oxidative stress markers in the blood(ferric reducing ability of plasma and lipid peroxidation inhibition)and liver tissues(superoxide dismutase,catalase and malondialdehyde)were analyzed using standard protocols.Liver function markers such as alkaline phosphatase,glutamic pyruvic transaminase,glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase,lactate dehydrogenase,γ-glutamyl transferase,creatinine,total protein,and uric acid were evaluated in rat serum.RESULTS The T.bellirica fruit ethyl acetate extract exhibited superior metal ion chelating and nitric oxide radical scavenging abilities during in vitro antioxidant assays as compared to aqueous extracts.Oral administration of ACF in rats(15 mg/kg)for 21 d produced oxidative stress and adversely affected liver function suggesting liver injury.Treatment with extracts(ethyl acetate and aqueous),EA and silymarin accounted for a significant reduction in the adverse effects of ACF on oxidative stress and liver function markers in serum and hepatic tissue in rats.Histopathological evaluation of the liver indicated that the extracts and EA significantly decreased the degree of liver damage.The in vivo efficacy of EA was higher than T.bellirica fruit extracts.Of these extracts,ethyl acetate extract revealed comparatively better antioxidant and hepatoprotective activity.CONCLUSION Ellagic acid and T.bellirica fruit extracts exhibited considerable hepatoprotective and antioxidant activities in long-term ACF-treated rats. | Ashutosh Gupta Abhay K Pandey | 2020 | World Journal of Hepatology2020,12,11: | 6 |
| 6 | Microtexture and Distribution of Minerals in Hydrothermal Barite-Silica Chimney from the Franklin Seamount, SW Pacific: Constraints on Mode of Formation显示文摘An extinct hydrothermal barite-silica chimney from the Franklin Seamount of the Woodlark Basin, in the southwestern Pacific Ocean, was investigated for mineral distribution and geochemical composition. Six layers on either side of the orifice of a chimney show significant disparity in color, mineral assemblage and major element composition. Electron microscope(SEM) images reveal that the peripheral wall of the chimney is composed of colloform silica, suggesting that incipient precipitation of silica-saturated hydrothermal fluid initiated the development of the chimney wall. Intermediate layers, between the exterior wall and the inner fluid-orifice, dominate with barite and sulfides. Low Sr-to-Ba ratios(SrO/BaO = 0.015–0.017) indicate restricted fluid-seawater mixing, which causes relatively high-temperature formation of the intermediate layers. Whereas the innermost layer bordering the chimney orifice is characterized by more silica and a higher Sr-to-Ba ratio(SrO/BaO = 0.023), could have formed due to a paragenetic shift from a high-temperature active phase to a cooler waning stage of formation. Skeels leaf extracts on acetaminophen and thioacetamide induced hepatic injuries in Wistar rats显示文摘Objective:To investigate and compare the hepatoprotective effects of crude ethanolic and aqueous extracts of Phyllanthus acidus(L.) Skeels(P.acidus) leaves on acetaminophen(APAP) and thioacetamide(TAA) induced liver toxicity in wistar rats.Silymarin was the reference hepatoprotective agent.Methods:In two different sets of experiments,the P.acidus extracts (200 and 400 mg/kg,body weight) and silymarin(100 mg/kg,body weight) were given orally for 7 days and a single dose of APAP(2 g/kg,per oral) or TAA(100 mg/kg,subcutaneous) were given to rats.The level of serum aspartate transaminase(AST),alanine transaminase(ALT),alkaline phosphatase(ALP),total bilirubin and total protein were monitored to assess hepatotoxicity and hepatoprotection.Results:APAP or TAA administration caused severe hepatic damage in rats as evident from significant rise in serum AST,ALT,ALP,total bilirubin and concurrent depletion in total serum protein.The P.acidus extracts and silymarin prevented the toxic effects of APAP or TAA on the above serum parameters indicating the hepatoprotective action.The aqueous extract was found to be more potent than the corresponding ethanolic extract against both toxicants.The phenolic and flavonoid content(175.02±4.35 and 74.68±1.28,respectively) and 2,2-diphenyl-1- picrylhydrazil(DPPH)[IC50=(33.2±0.31)μg/mL]scavenging potential was found maximum with aqueous extract as compared to ethanolic extract.Conclusions:The results of present study suggests that the aqueous extract of P.acidus leaves has significant hepatoprotective activity on APAP and TAA induced hepatotoxicity,which might be associate with its high phenolic and flavonoid content and antioxidant properties. | Nilesh Kumar Jain Abhay K Singhai | 2011 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2011,4,6: | 6 |

Entry of Ca^2+ into the lens epithelial cells (LEC) is highly regulated by quantum of receptors. The Ca^2+ level controls homeostasis and growth of entire lens. Intracellular overload of Ca^2+ in the LEC trigger a series of events such as activation of Ca-dependent enzymes, irreversible breakdown of important structural proteins and cell death. Proper maintenance of Ca^2+ levels by regulating activity of Ca-pumps and Ca-channels and inhibition of Ca-dependent enzymes can help in prevention of cataract. | 11 | Lightning Activity and Its Relationship with Typhoon Intensity and Vertical Wind Shear for Super Typhoon Haiyan (1330)显示文摘Super Typhoon Haiyan(1330), which occurred in 2013, is the most powerful typhoon during landfall in the meteorological record. In this study, the temporal and spatial distributions of lightning activity of Haiyan were analyzed by using the lightning data from the World Wide Lightning Location Network,typhoon intensity and position data from the China Meteorological Administration, and horizontal wind data from the ECMWF. Three distinct regions were identified in the spatial distribution of daily average lightning density, with the maxima in the inner core and the minima in the inner rainband. The lightning density in the intensifying stage of Haiyan was greater than that in its weakening stage. During the time when the typhoon intensity measured with maximum sustained wind speed was between 32.7 and 41.4 m s-1, the storm had the largest lightning density in the inner core, compared with other intensity stages.In contrast to earlier typhoon studies, the eyewall lightning burst out three times. The first two eyewall lightning outbreaks occurred during the period of rapid intensification and before the maximum intensity of the storm, suggesting that the eyewall lightning activity could be used to identify the change in tropical cyclone intensity. The flashes frequently occurred in the inner core, and in the outer rainbands with the black body temperature below 220 K. | 12 | Interpolation of Images Using Discrete Wavelet Transform to Simulate Image Resizing as in Human Vision显示文摘This paper presents discrete wavelet transform (DWT) and its inverse (IDWT) with Haar wavelets as tools to compute the variable size interpolated versions of an image at optimum computational load. As a human observer moves closer to or farther from a scene, the retinal image of the scene zooms in or out, respectively. This zooming in or out can be modeled using variable scale interpolation. The paper proposes a novel way of applying DWT and IDWT in a piecewise manner by non-uniform down- or up-sampling of the images to achieve partially sampled versions of the images. The partially sampled versions are then aggregated to achieve the final variable scale interpolated images. The non-uniform down-or up-sampling here is a function of the required scale of interpolation. Appropriate zero padding is used to make the images suitable for the required non-uniform sampling and the subsequent interpolation to the required scale. The concept of zeroeth level DWT is introduced here, which works as the basis for interpolating the images to achieve bigger size than the original one. The main emphasis here is on the computation of variable size images at less computational load, without compromise of quality of images. The interpolated images to different sizes and the reconstructed images are benchmarked using the statistical parameters and visual comparison. Due to its large, growing economic impact with associated morbidity, closer look at proper management is im-portant. Factors involved in appropriate management involves fluid resuscitation, insulin regimen, and elec-trolyte replacement including types of fluid and insulin treatment. The caveat with generalized protocol is application to special populations such as renal or heart failure patients the sequelae of complications due to pathophysiology of the disease processes. This leads to complications and longer length of stay in the hospital, therefore, possibly increased cost and resource utilization during the hospitalization. This review takes a closer look at current guidelines of DKA management and resource utilization, the drawbacks of current management protocols and the cost associated with it. | 14 | Achieving higher strength in Cu–Ag–Zr alloy by warm/hot rolling显示文摘High-strength Cu–3Ag–0.5Zr alloy plates were produced by multi-pass rolling in the temperature range of500–800 °C. An increase in strength was observed by rolling in the aforementioned range without significant loss in ductility. All the rolled samples show higher strength than solution-treated and aged samples. The maximum strength was observed for plates rolled at 500 °C with a yield strength and ultimate tensile strength of 311 and385 MPa, respectively, and retaining a ductility of 23 %.Transmission electron microscopy(TEM) studies showed uniform distribution of fine silver precipitates and high dislocation density in the rolled samples. Nevertheless, the size of precipitates and dislocation density varied with the rolling temperature. The superior strength achieved in the rolled samples is attributed to grain refinement, dislocation strengthening, and precipitation hardening. | 15 | Rapid transport of insulin to the brain following intranasal administration in rats显示文摘We previously reported that intranasal insulin protects substantia nigra dopaminergic neurons against6-hydroxydopamine neurotoxicity in rats. This study aimed to assess insulin pharmacokinetics in the rat brain following intranasal application. Recombinant human insulin(rh-Ins) or phosphate buffer solution was administered to both nostrils of rats. Animals were sacrificed at 15 minutes, 1, 2, and 6 hours to determine insulin levels in different brain regions by an ultrasensitive, human-specific enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kit. For fluorescence tracing study, rats were administered with intranasal florescence-tagged insulin(Alex546-Ins), and brains were fixed at 10 and 30 minutes to prepare sagittal sections.rh-Ins was detected in all brain regions examined except the cerebral cortex. The highest levels were detected in the brainstem, followed by the cerebellum, substantia nigra/ventral tegmental area, olfactory bulb,striatum, hippocampus, and thalamus/hypothalamus. Insulin levels reached a peak at 15 minutes and then declined gradually overtime, but remained significantly higher than baseline levels at 6 hours in most regions.Consistently, widespread Alex546-Ins-binding cells were detected in the brain at 10 and 30 minutes, with the olfactory bulb and brainstem showing the highest while the cerebral cortex showing lowest fluorescence signals. Double-immunostaining showed that Alex546-Ins-bindings were primarily co-localized with neuronal nuclei-positive neurons. In the subtantia nigra, phospho-Akt was found to be activated in a subset of Alex546-Ins and tyrosine hydroxylase double-labeled cells, suggesting activation of the Akt/PI3 K pathway in these dopaminergic neurons. Data from this study suggest that intranasal insulin could effectively reach deep brain structures including the nigrostriatal pathways, where it binds to dopaminergic neurons and activates intracellular cell survival signaling. | 16 | 乳腺癌术后自体组织皮瓣乳房重建(文献综述)显示文摘乳腺癌的治疗已经从起初的根治性治疗发展到缩小手术范围及乳房重建 ,乳房重建已经成为乳腺癌治疗的一部分 ,它包括假体重建和自体组织重建 ,由于假体重建的某些局限性及自体组织重建的自然效果 ,越来越多的医生和患者选择自体组织重建乳房。自体组织皮瓣重建乳房既可以在乳腺癌切除手术后立即进行 ,也可以延期进行 ,乳房立即重建的整形效果好而且在肿瘤学角度上是安全的。最常选用的胸部受体血管是胸背血管和乳内血管 ,立即重建常选择胸背血管因为在乳腺癌手术时该血管已暴露 ,而延期重建常选择乳内血管以避免解剖前次手术过的腋窝疤痕。目前 ,常用的自体组织皮瓣主要有 :背阔肌皮瓣、腹直肌转移皮瓣、臀上游离肌皮瓣 ,其中最常用的是腹直肌转移皮瓣 ,游离腹直肌皮瓣比带蒂腹直肌皮瓣更受到欢迎 ,主要是其血供更丰富、皮瓣植入更容易、重建外形更佳 ,其他皮瓣的应用相对较少 ,但在不适合使用腹直肌转移皮瓣时仍然是极佳的候选皮瓣。自体组织皮瓣有着自然、持久、高满意度的乳房重建效果。 | 刘庆宏 Abhay Gupta | 2004 | 国外医学(外科学分册)2004,31,3: | 4 |
| 17 | Process parameters-weld bead geometry interactions and their influence on mechanical properties:A case of dissimilar aluminium alloy electron beam welds显示文摘Prediction of weld bead geometry is always an interesting and challenging research topic as it involves understanding of complex multi input and multi output system. The weld bead geometry has a profound impact on the load bearing capability of a weld joint, which in-turn decides the performance in real time service conditions. The present study introduces a novel approach of detecting a relationship between weld bead geometry and mechanical properties(e.g. tensile load) for the purpose of catering the best the process could offer. The significance of the proposed approach is demonstrated by a case of dissimilar aluminium alloy(AA2219 and AA5083) electron beam welds. A mathematical model of tensile braking load as a function of geometrical attributes of weld bead geometry is presented. The results of investigation suggests the effective thickness of weld-a geometric parameter of weld bead has the most significant influence on tensile breaking load of dissimilar weld joint. The observations on bead geometry and the mechanical properties(microhardness, ultimate tensile load and face bend angle) are correlated with detailed metallurgical analysis. | 18 | 西印度醋栗对四氯化碳引起的大鼠和小鼠急性过氧化肝损伤的保护作用(英文)显示文摘目的:证实西印度醋栗(Phyllanthus acidus(L.)Skeels)的果实在传统医学中作为保肝药使用的药用用途。方法:连续5d分别给予各组大鼠西印度醋栗果实的70%乙醇提取物(100,200和400mg/kg口服)及对照药水飞蓟素(100mg/kg口服)并于第2天及第3天皮下注射四氯化碳(2mL/kg)。测定血清天冬氨酸氨基转移酶(aspartate transaminase,AST)、丙氨酸氨基转移酶(alanine transaminase,ALT)、碱性磷酸酶(alkaline phosphatase,ALP)、总胆红素以及总蛋白并进行肝脏组织病理学检测。检测大鼠肝组织匀浆中的氧化应激标记物如脂质过氧化反应(lipid peroxidation,LPO)、还原型谷胱甘肽(reduced glutathione,GSH)、超氧化物歧化酶(superoxide dismutase,SOD)、过氧化氢酶(catalase,CAT)以及谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶(glutathione peroxidase,GPx)以衡量西印度醋栗的体外抗氧化作用。此外,本实验还记录了伊维巴诱导的给药后小鼠睡眠时间,使用2,2-二苯基-1-苦基肼(2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazil,DPPH)法测定小鼠服药后的自由基清除率。结果:与对照组相比,西印度醋栗果实的乙醇提取物及水飞蓟素均显著降低了模型大鼠血清AST、ALT和ALP水平及LPO并升高了TP、GSH、SOD、CAT和GPx的水平(P<0.01或P<0.05)。大鼠肝脏组织的组织病理学切片结果也证实了以上实验结果。在小鼠实验中,与对照组相比,西印度醋栗果实的乙醇提取物显著缩短了伊维巴诱导的小鼠睡眠时间(P<0.01),并具有较高的DPPH清除率。结论:本研究的实验结果证实了西印度醋栗果实对四氯化碳引起的大鼠急性过氧化肝损伤的保护作用,机制可能与其抗氧化作用及自由基清除功能有关。 | Nilesh Kumar Jain Santram Lodhi Avijeet Jain Alok Nahata Abhay K.Singhai | 2011 | 中西医结合学报2011,9,1: | 3 |
