1在垂直井中进行表面活性剂-碱-蒸汽驱的试验研究显示文摘蒸汽驱的不断研究和矿场应用已经证实了一个早期结论 ,即该工艺是开采重质和中质原油的好方法。本项试验研究了用低浓度碱或表面活性剂溶液作为水驱油藏的蒸汽驱添加剂的可行性。本项研究的目的是对使用蒸汽和低浓度碱表面活性剂混合物开采更多原油的优化蒸汽驱工艺进行探索。为了达到这些目标 ,进行了以下 4项流动试验 :①常规蒸汽驱(SF) ;②表面活性剂蒸汽驱 (SSF) ;③碱蒸汽驱(ASF) ;④低浓度表面活性剂碱蒸汽驱 (SASF)。本项研究结果证实 ,用蒸汽驱能够显著提高采收率。在蒸汽驱中加入低浓度碱比常规蒸汽驱能够采出更多的原油。把蒸汽驱与表面活性剂相结合比用常规蒸汽驱或者碱蒸汽驱提高的采收率都高。Shedid Ali Shedid ElAbbas A.Abbas 金佩强 李发荣 2001国外油田工程2001,17,10:7
2Generalized thermoelastic interaction in functional graded material with fractional order three-phase lag heat transfer显示文摘The present work is concerned with the solution of a problem on thermoelastic interactions in a functional graded material due to thermal shock in the context of the fractional order three-phase lag model. The governing equations of fractional order generalized thermoelasticity with three-phase lag model for functionally graded materials(FGM)(i.e., material with spatially varying material properties) are established. The analytical solution in the transform domain is obtained by using the eigenvalue approach.The inversion of Laplace transform is done numerically. The graphical results indicate that the fractional parameter has significant effects on all the physical quantities. 3Role of toll-like receptor 4 in eliciting adaptive immune responses against recombinant BCG expressing the C-terminus of merozoite surface protein-1 of Plasmodium falciparum显示文摘Objective: To determine the role of toll-like receptor 4(TLR-4) in eliciting cellular and humoral immune responses against recombinant Mycobacterium bovis bacille Calmette-Guérin(rB CG) expressing the C-terminus of merozoite surface protein-1 of Plasmodium falciparum. Methods: Six groups of mice(n=6 per group) were injected with phosphate buffered saline T80, BCG or r BCG intraperitoneally, in the presence or absence of a TLR-4 inhibitor; TAK-242. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was carried out for serum total IgG, IgG 1, Ig G2 a and Ig G2 b determination. Spleens were also harvested and splenocytes cultured for determination of intracellular cytokines; IL-4 and IFN-毭 via enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Results: The production of total Ig G, and the subclasses Ig G1, Ig G2 a and Ig G2 b was significantly higher in rB CG-immunised mice than BCG and phosphate buffered saline immunised mice in the absence of TAK-242. A significant rise in total IgG occurred with more booster immunisations. The level of IgG 2 a was highest, followed by IgG 2 b, then IgG 1. The production of both IL-4 and IFN-were inhibited in t毭 was also highest in the rB CG immunised groups. These significant riseshe presence of TAK-242. 4Generalized thermoelasticity of the thermal shock problem in an isotropic hollow cylinder and temperature dependent elastic moduli显示文摘In this paper,we construct the equations of generalized thermoelasicity for a non-homogeneous isotropic hollow cylider with a variable modulus of elasticity and thermal conductivity based on the Lord and Shulman theory.The problem has been solved numerically using the finite element method.Numerical results for the displacement,the temperature,the radial stress,and the hoop stress distributions are illustrated graphically.Comparisons are made between the results predicted by the coupled theory and by the theory of generalized thermoelasticity with one relaxation time in the cases of temperature dependent and independent modulus of elasticity.Ibrahim A.Abbas Mohamed I.A.Othman 2012Chinese Physics B2012,21,1:2

6Preeclampsia: A Review of Early Predictors显示文摘Preeclampsia is a progressive,multi-system disorder of pregnancy associated with morbidity and mortality on both the mother and the fetus.Currently,research is directed at identifying early biomarkers of preeclampsia in order to predict its occurrence.This is important because it helps understand the pathophysiology of the disease,and thus,promises new treatment modalities.Although a clear understanding of the pathogenesis of PE remains elusive,the currently most accepted theory suggests a two-stage process.The first stage results in inadequate remodeling of the spiral arteries and leads to the second stage,whereby the clinical features of the syndrome are featured.In this review,we summarize the modalities that have been studies so far to predict preeclampsia.The use of uterine artery Doppler and several other biomarkers such as vitamin D,soluble fms-like tyrosine kinase 1/placental growth factor(sFLT1/PIGF)ratio,soluble endoglin,and a subset of T-lymphocytes has shown promising results.We are still at early stages in this advance,and no clear recommendations have been made about their clinical use to date.Further studies are still needed to improve screening strategies and evaluate the cost-effectiveness of any intervention.Riwa A.Abbas Labib Ghulmiyyah Elie Hobeika Ihab M.Usta Fadi Mirza Anwar H.Nassar 2021Maternal-Fetal Medicine2021,3,3:1

8Interaction due to various sources in saturated porous media with incompressible fluid显示文摘The disturbance due to mechanical and thermal sources in saturated porous media with incompressible fluid for two-dimensional axi-symmetric problem is investigated.The Laplace and Hankel transforms techniques are used to investigate the problem.The concentrated source and source over circular region have been taken to show the utility of the approach.The transformed components of displacement,stress and pore pressure are obtained.Numerical inversion techniques are used to obtain the resulting quantities in the physical domain and the effect of porosity is shown on the resulting quantities.All the field quantities are found to be sensitive towards the porosity parameters.It is observed that porosity parameters have both increasing and decreasing effect on the numerical values of the physical quantities.Also the values of the physical quantities are affected by the different boundaries.A special case of interest is also deduced.Rajneesh Kumar Ibrahim A.Abbas 2016Journal of Central South University2016,23,5:0
9Gold and Base Metals Associated with Uranium Mineralization in Some Lower Carboniferous Rock Units in the Wadi Abu El Mogheirat Area, Southwestern Sinai, Egypt显示文摘The Lower Carboniferous sediments at Wadi Abu El Mogheirat consist of four stratigraphic formations, from base upwards: Um Bogma, El Hashash, Magharet El Maiah and Abu Zarab formations. The most-concentrated radioactive anomalies at Wadi Abu El Mogheirat are in the middle member of the Um Bogma Formation. The gibbsitic marl in this formation shows the highest uranium contents(around 710 ppm). Gibbsitic marl and black gibbsite of the middle Um Bogma Formation show higher enrichment in Co, Cu, Mn, Ni, Pb, Zn, U, V, Ce and Th. Black gibbsite contains the highest total rare earth elements concentration, especially in terms of LREEs, while gibbsitic marl contains the highest content of HREEs. Anomalous contents of gold at Wadi Abu El Mogheirat are recorded for the first time in the gibbsitic marl(content: 10.4 ppm), black gibbsite(2.8 ppm) of the middle member of the Um Bogma Formation and in the siltstones of the El Hashash Formation(0.6 ppm). Gibbsitic marl shows the presence of uranothorite, celestite, zircon, atacamite, barite, xenotime and rutile. These characteristic demonstrate that the middle member of the Um Bogma Formation constitutes a potential source for gold. 10Flexural behavior of ECC hollow beams incorporating different synthetic fibers显示文摘Twelve ECC beams with three different fiber types,along with four normal concrete beams,were tested in this study to evaluate the influence of cross-sectional hollowing on their flexural performance.The fiber types used were nylon monofilament(NM),low-cost untreated polyvinyl alcohol(PVA),and polypropylene(PP).Three different square hole sizes of 60,80,and 100 mm with cross-sectional hollowing ratios of 0.16,0.28,and 0.44,respectively,were adopted for each group of beams in addition to a solid beam.All beams were tested under four-point loading using a displacement-controlled testing machine.The test results showed that ECC beams can mostly withstand higher cracking and ultimate loads compared to their corresponding normal concrete versions.The results also showed that both the ductility and toughness of the ECC beams are higher than those of the normal concrete beams and that the ductility values of the hollow beams with a hole size of 60 mm are higher than those of the corresponding solid beams.Moreover,hollow ECC beams with hole sizes of 60 and 80 mm exhibited a higher ductility than a solid normal concrete beam.Ahmmad A.ABBAS Farid H.ARNA'OT Sallal R.ABID Mustafa OZAKCA 2021Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering2021,15,2:0
11Biochar Application Improves the Drought Tolerance in Maize Seedlings显示文摘Application of biochar to agricultural soils is mostly used to improve soil fertility.Experimental treatments were comprised of two factors:i)drought at two level,i.e.,80%and 40%water holding capacity(WHC)which was maintained on gravimetric basis ii)three levels of biochar i.e.,control,2 t ha^(-1) and 4 t ha^(-1) added to soil.Experimentation was done to examine potential of biochar application to enhance the growth attributes,water relations,photosynthetic pigments and antioxidants activities in maize(Zea mays L.)seedlings.Results of study revealed that biochar application increased the growth qualities(total seedlings biomass,dry weight of shoot and root,shoot length and root length).In addition;contents of photosynthetic pigments(chlorophyll a,b,a+b and a/b),water relation(relative water contents,turgor potential,osmotic potential and water potential)were improved significantly due to addition of biochar.Addition of 4 t ha^(-1) biochar led to significant rise activity of enzymatic antioxidant catalase(CAT),superoxide dismutase(SOD)and peroxidase(POD)in leaf of maize seedling sunder drought as well as well watered circumstances.However,biochar applied at the rate 4 t ha^(-1) improved the all the physiological and biochemical attributes in maize seedlings under drought.From the results it was concluded that biochar application is an efficient way to alleviate adverse effect of drought stress on maize.In drought prone areas,long term impacts of biochar on production of maize and properties of soil could be recommended as upcoming shove.A.Sattar A.Sher M.Ijaz M.Irfan M.Butt T.Abbas S.Hussain A.Abbas M.S.Ullah M.A.Cheema 2019Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2019,88,4:0
12Placenta Accreta Spectrum:Conservative Management and Its Impact on Future Fertility显示文摘Placenta accreta spectrum is a complication of pregnancy,which poses a great risk on maternal health.Historically,hysterectomy was the modality of treatment of such condition,but an approach towards a more conservative management has been in the light recently.This includes several methods with varying rates of success and complications.Expectant management is effective in up to 78%–80%of the cases.The extirpative method is associated with a high risk of postpartum hemorrhage.The success of the onestep conservative procedure depends on the degree of placental invasion,and the triple-P procedure appears to be successful but requires and interdisciplinary approach.Adjuvant treatment options can be tailored according to individual cases,and these include methotrexate injection,uterine devascularization and hysteroscopic resection of retained placental tissues.Follow up after conservative management is crucial to detect complications early,and it can be done by ultrasound,Doppler examination,and trending b human chorionic gonadotropin levels.Conservative management of placenta accreta spectrum can preserve future fertility but should only be done in hospitals with enough experience as it carries a high risk of maternal complications.In the future,more research should be directed to achieve clear guidelines regarding this topic.Riwa A.Abbas Anwar H.Nassar 2021Maternal-Fetal Medicine2021,3,4:0
13An efficient energy-management strategy for a DC microgrid powered by a photovoltaic/fuel cell/battery/supercapacitor显示文摘The outcome of this paper is to suggest an efficient energy-management strategy(EMS)for a direct-current(DC)microgrid(MG).The typical MG is composed of two renewable energy sources[photovoltaic(PV)systems and fuel cells(FCs)]and two energy-storage elements(lithium-ion battery and supercapacitor).An EMS was proposed to ensure optimal bus voltage with a power-sharing arrangement between the load and the sources.As a result,in the suggested DC MG,non-linear flatness control theory was used instead of the traditional proportional-integral control approach.The suggested EMS is intended to supply high power quality to the load under varying load conditions with fluctuating solar irradiation while considering the FC status.To validate and prove the effectiveness of the proposed EMS,a MATLAB®environment was used.In addition,the output power of the PV system was maximized using the particle swarm optimization algorithm as a maximum power point tracking(MPPT)technique to track the MPP of the 3000-W PV system under different irradiance conditions.The results show that the suggested EMS delivers a stable and smooth DC bus voltage with minimum overshoot value(0.1%)and improved ripple content(0.1%).As a result,the performance of the DC MG was enhanced by employing the flatness control theory,which provides higher power quality by stabilizing the bus voltage.Furqan A.Abbas Adel A.Obed Mohammed A.Qasim Salam J.Yaqoob Seydali Ferahtia 2022Clean Energy2022,6,6:0
