2Adaptive Control Based on Neural Networks for an Uncertain 2-DOF Helicopter System With Input Deadzone and Output Constraints显示文摘In this paper, a study of control for an uncertain2-degree of freedom(DOF) helicopter system is given. The2-DOF helicopter is subject to input deadzone and output constraints. In order to cope with system uncertainties and input deadzone, the neural network technique is introduced because of its capability in approximation. In order to update the weights of the neural network, an adaptive control method is utilized to improve the system adaptability. Furthermore, the integral barrier Lyapunov function(IBLF) is adopt in control design to guarantee the condition of output constraints and boundedness of the corresponding tracking errors. The Lyapunov direct method is applied in the control design to analyze system stability and convergence. 4Dual-comb spectroscopy resolved three-degreeof-freedom sensing显示文摘Precise and fast determination of position and orientation, which is normally achieved by distance and angle measurements, has broad applications in academia and industry. We propose a dynamic three-degree-of-freedom measurement technique based on dual-comb interferometry and a self-designed grating-corner-cube(GCC) combined sensor. Benefiting from its unique combination of diffraction and reflection characteristics, the absolute distance, pitch, and yaw of the GCC sensor can be determined simultaneously by resolving the phase spectra of the corresponding diffracted beams. We experimentally demonstrate that the method exhibits a ranging precision(Allan deviation) of 13.7 nm and an angular precision of 0.088 arcsec, alongside a 1 ms reaction time. The proposed technique is capable of precise and fast measurement of distances and two-dimensional angles over long stand-off distances. 6Type synthesis of a class of spatial lower-mobility parallel mechanisms with orthogonal arrangement based on Lie group enumeration显示文摘Type synthesis of lower-mobility parallel mechanisms (PMs) has drawn extensive interests, particularly two main approaches were established by using the reciprocal screw system theory and Lie group theory, respectively. Although every above approach provides a universal framework for structural design of general lower-mobility PMs, type synthesis is still a comparably difficult task for the PMs with particular geometry or required to fulfill some specified tasks. This paper aims at exploring a simple and effective synthesis method for lower-mobility parallel mechanisms with orthogonal arrangement (OPMs), and the applied mathematical tool is established in the displacement group theory. For this purpose, the concept of the Cartesian DOF-characteristic matrix, originated from canonical displacement subgroup and displacement submanifold, is proposed. 9Experimental Study on Interaction Between Degrees of Freedom in a Wave Buoy显示文摘Increasing degrees of freedom(DOFs)is a useful way to raise the power capture efficiency of oscillating wave energy converters.Thus,this study proposes a buoy with three DOFs,which are surge,heave,and pitch.The hydrodynamic performance and power capture efficiency of the buoy is physically modeled.Amplitudes of unidirectional and coupled motions are compared to analyze the interaction effect between freedoms under conditions with and without power take-off damping.The capture width ratio and corresponding growth rates are also calculated.Results show that the buoy makes a periodic sinusoidal(or approximate)movement in every DOF.Coupling effect can cause an increase in the amplitude in one DOF and a decrease in the amplitudes of the others.This phenomenon shows that the kinematic energy of the buoy redistributes to all DOFs compared with the unidirectional conditions.Adding DOFs can improve the power absorption of the buoy in most cases,but the number of DOFs is not the more the better.HUANG Shuting SHI Hongda CAO Feifei TAN Junzhe CHENG Haixun LI Demin LIU Shangze GONG Haoxiang TAO Ji 2019Journal of Ocean University of China2019,18,6:5

12PSO-based Parameter Tuning for a TwoDegree-of-Freedom IMC Scheme and Its Application to Paper Basis Weight Control显示文摘Basis weight is an important indicator for evaluating paper quality and a major factor directly affecting the economic benefits of enterprises.Focusing on the large time-delay,time-varying,and nonlinear characteristics of a basis weight control system,a two-degree-of-freedom(TDF)internal model control(IMC)method based on a particle swarm optimization(PSO)algorithm was proposed.The method took the integral of time multiplied by the absolute error(ITAE)as the objective function,and the PSO algorithm was used to optimize the time constant of the tuning IMC filter.The simulation results for the control system under the proposed TDF-IMC method based on the PSO algorithm demonstrate good set-point tracking performance,strong anti-interference capabilities,and good robustness properties.The application results revealed that the basis weight fluctuation range of the paper was±2 g/m2,which significantly improved both the control quality and the product quality.Wei Tang Zhimin Yuan Wenjuan Shan MdMuhie Menul Haque 2019Paper And Biomaterials2019,4,4:4

14An experimental investigation of one-and two-degree of freedom VIV of cylinders显示文摘In the paper,an experiment investigation was conducted for one-and two-degree of freedom vortex-induced vibration(VIV) of a horizontally-oriented cylinder with diameter of 11 cm and length of 120 cm.In the experiment,the spring constants in the cross-flow and in-line flow directions were regulated to change the natural vibration frequency of the model system.It was found that,in the one-degree of freedom VIV experiment,a 'double peak' phenomenon was observed in its amplitude within the range of the reduced velocities tested,moreover,a '2T' wake appeared in the vicinity of the second peak.In the two-degree of freedom VIV experiment,the trajectory of cylinder exhibited a reverse 'C' shape,i.e.,a 'new moon' shape.Through analysis of these data,it appears that,besides the non-dimensional in-line and cross-flow natural vibration frequency ratios,the absolute value of the natural vibration frequency of cylinder is also one of the important parameters affecting its VIV behavior.Zhuang Kang Lu-Sheng Jia 2013Acta Mechanica Sinica2013,29,2:3
15Multiple Emitters Localization by UAV with Nested Linear Array:System Scheme and 2D-DOA Estimation Algorithm显示文摘Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)equipped with uniform linear array has been applied to multiple emitters localization.Meanwhile,nested linear array enables to enhance localization resolution and achieve under-determined Direction of Arrival(DOA)estimation.In this paper,we propose a new system structure for emitters localization that combines the UAV with nested linear array,which is capable of significantly increasing the positioning accuracy of interested targets.Specifically,a localization scheme is designed to obtain the paired two-dimensional DOA(2D-DOA,i.e.azimuth and elevation angles)estimates of emitters by nested linear array with UAV.Furthermore,we propose an improved DOA estimation algorithm for emitters localization that utilizes Discrete Fourier Transform(DFT)method to obtain coarse DOA estimates,subsequently,achieve the fine DOA estimates by sparse representation.The proposed algorithm has lower computational complexity because the coarse DOA estimates enable to shrink the range of over-complete dictionary of sparse representation.In addition,compared to traditional uniform linear array,improved 2D-DOA estimation performance of emitters can be obtained with a nested linear array.Extensive simulation results testify the effectiveness of the proposed method.Xinping Lin Xiaofei Zhang Lang He Wang Zheng 2020China Communications2020,17,3:2

20Long-Term Effect of TMD on Vibration Control of An MDOF Offshore Fixed Platform显示文摘A three-dimensional fixed offshore platform in deep water modeled by the finite element method is studied in this paper. Analysis of the dynamic response of the MDOF structure is realized taking the non-linearity of the wave drag force and the wave-structure interaction into account. The structural response statistics, which have Gaussian distributions, are used to evaluate the vibration effect of the structure without TMD and with TMD. And an optimal method to design TMD controlling the first mode of the multi-mode structure is proposed. Moreover, the probabilities of occurrence of sea states at the platform site are considered for prediction of the long-term effect of a TMD.
