5Nitrogen reduction using bioreactive thin-layer capping(BTC)with biozeolite: A field experiment in a eutrophic river显示文摘Bioreactive thin-layer capping(BTC)with biozeolite provides a potential remediation design that can sustainably treat N contamination from sediment and overlying water in eutrophic water bodies.Nitrogen(N)reduction using BTC with biozeolite was examined in a field incubation experiment in a eutrophic river in Yangzhou,Jiangsu Province,China.The biozeolite was zeolite with attached bacteria,including two isolated heterotrophic nitrifiers(Bacillus spp.)and two isolated aerobic denitrifiers(Acinetobacter spp.).The results showed that the total nitrogen(TN)reduction efficiency of the overlying water by BTC with biozeolite(with thickness of about 2 mm)reached a maximum(56.69%)at day 34,and simultaneous heterotrophic nitrification and aerobic denitrification occurred in the BTC system until day 34.There was a significant difference in the TN concentrations of the overlying water between biozeolite capping and control(t-test;p<0.05).The biozeolite had very strong in situ bioregeneration ability.Carbon was the main source of nitrifier growth.However,both dissolved oxygen(DO)and carbon concentrations affected denitrifier growth.In particular,DO concentrations greater than 3 mg/L inhibited denitrifier growth.Therefore,BTC with biozeolite was found to be a feasible technique to reduce N in a eutrophic river.However,it is necessary to further strengthen the adaptability of aerobic denitrifiers through changing domestication methods or conditions.Zhenming Zhou Tinglin Huang Baoling Yuan 2016Journal of Environmental Sciences2016,28,4:8

7Separation of CO_2/CH_4 and CH_4/N_2 mixtures using MOF-5 and Cu_3(BTC)_2显示文摘In this paper we used MOF-5 and Cu3(BTC)2to separate CO2/CH4 and CH4/N2 mixtures under dynamic conditions. Both materials were synthesized and pelletized, thus allowing for a meaningful characterization in view of process scale-up. The materials were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM). By performing breakthrough experiments, we found that Cu3(BTC)2separated CO2/CH4 slightly better than MOF-5. Because the crystal structure of Cu3(BTC)2includes unsaturated accessible metal sites formed via dehydration, it predominantly interacted with CO2 molecules and more easily captured them. 13Simple Preparation, Structure and Conductivity of Nickel(Ⅱ) Benzenetricarboxylate Ni_3(BTC)_2·12H_2O显示文摘Proton-conductive crystalline metal-organic framework nickel(Ⅱ) benzenetricarboxylate Ni3(BTC)2·12H2O(MOF-Ni) was prepared by the reaction of nickel(Ⅱ) nitrate and 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic(BTC) acid in a mixed solvent of N,N-dimethylformamide(DMF)/C2H5OH/ H2O(1:1:1, ν/ν) at low temperature and short reaction time. It was characterized by thermogravimetric analyses(TG), FT-IR and N2 adsorption-desorption. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis indicated that the complex belongs to monoclinic system, space group C2 with a = 17.407(6), b = 12.878(5), c = 6.542(2) , β = 112.07°, V = 1359.0(8)3, Dc = 1.971 g/cm3, μ = 2.166 mm-1 and Z = 2. 14Microwave-assisted synthesis of nanoscale Eu(BTC)(H_2O)·DMF with tunable luminescence显示文摘Nanoscale europium(III) metal-organic frameworks, Eu(BTC)(H2O)?DMF, were synthesized by rapid microwave-assisted method. The components of the as-prepared products were confirmed by the elemental analysis, X-ray powder diffraction(XRD), thermal gravimetric analysis(TGA) and Fourier-transform infrared spectra(FTIR) analyses. Eu(BTC)(H2O)?DMF with various morphologies, including particle-like, rod-like, straw-sheaf-like nanostructures, could be simply prepared by controlling the concentrations of the starting reactants. The optical measurements on the obtained Eu(BTC)(H2O)?DMF indicated that all the nanomaterials show the characteristic emissions of the Eu3+ ions at 578, 590, 612, 650, and 699 nm, which were attributed to 5D0?7FJ(J=0–4) transitions of the Eu3+ ion, respectively. It was also noticed that the luminescent properties of the as-prepared products were heavily dependent on the morphologies and sizes of the nanomaterials.
