1Memristive neuron model with an adapting synapse and its hardware experiments显示文摘Electromagnetic induction effect caused by neuron potential can be mimicked using memristor.This paper considers a fluxcontrolled memristor to imitate the electromagnetic induction effect of adapting feedback synapse and presents a memristive neuron model with the adapting synapse.The memristive neuron model is three-dimensional and non-autonomous.It has the time-varying equilibria with multiple stabilities,which results in the global coexistence of multiple firing patterns.Multiple numerical plots are executed to uncover diverse coexisting firing patterns in the memristive neuron model.Particularly,a nonlinear fitting scheme is raised and a fitting activation function circuit is employed to implement the memristive mono-neuron model.Diverse coexisting firing patterns are observed from the hardware experiment circuit and the measured results verify the numerical simulations well.BAO BoCheng ZHU YongXin MA Jun BAO Han WU HuaGan CHEN Mo 2021Science China(Technological Sciences)2021,64,5:2
2Dynamics and synchronization of a complex-valued star network显示文摘Complex networks have been extensively investigated in recent years.However,the dynamics,especially chaos and bifurcation,of the complex-valued complex network are rarely studied.In this paper,a star network of coupled complex-valued van der Pol oscillators is proposed to reveal the mechanism of star coupling.By the aid of bifurcation diagram,Lyapunov exponent spectrum and phase portrait in this study,chaos,hyper-chaos,and multi-existing chaotic attractors are observed from the star network,although there are only periodic states in a complex-valued van der Pol oscillator.Complexity versus coupling strength and nonlinear coefficient shows that the bigger the network size,the larger the parameter range within the chaotic(hyper-chaotic)region.It is revealed that the chaotic bifurcation path is highly robust against the size variation of the star network,and it always evolves to chaos directly from period-1 and quasi-periodic states,respectively.Moreover,the coexistence of chaotic phase synchronization and complete synchronization among the peripherals is also found from the star network,which is a symmetrybreaking phenomenon.CHAI Lin LIU Jian CHEN GuanRong ZHAO Xiu 2021Science China(Technological Sciences)2021,64,12:0
3Modular chaotification model with FPGA implementation显示文摘Chaotic systems are an effective tool for various applications, including information security and internet of things. Many chaotic systems may have the weaknesses of incomplete output distributions, discontinuous chaotic regions, and simple chaotic behaviors.These may result in many negative influences in practical applications utilizing chaos. To deal with these issues, this study introduces a modular chaotification model(MCM) to increase the dynamic properties of current one-dimensional(1 D) chaotic maps. To exhibit the effect of the MCM, three 1 D chaotic maps are improved using the MCM as examples. Studies of the resulting properties show the robust and complex dynamics of these improved chaotic maps. Moreover, we implement these improved chaotic maps of MCM in a field-programmable gate array hardware platform and apply them to the application of PRNG.
