3Three-dimensional heat transfer in a particulate bed in a rotary drum studied via the discrete element method显示文摘We simulated three-dimensional heat transfer inside a horizontal rotating drum using the discrete element method and a thermal conduction model.The aim was to determine the effect of end-wall heating on thermal behavior of a granular bed.The simulation showed that the end-wall heating significantly affects the axial temperature profile of the bed,particularly when the length-to-diameter ratio is low.Particles near the wall heated faster and became more thermally uniform than those in the center of the drum.The region affected by the end heating gradually increased over time.Increasing the rotation speed enhanced the heat conduction rate,and increasing the fill level reduced the mean temperature and thermal uniformity of the granular bed.Heat transfer was also simulated for drums with different length-to-diameter ratios.Esmaeil Yazdani Seyed Hassan Hashemabadi 2020Particuology2020,18,4:1
4滚筒端面对颗粒物料轴向流动特性影响的离散模拟研究显示文摘针对碎渣工艺中仅一个端面可随侧壁转动的短滚筒体系,采用离散单元法模拟研究了滚筒轴径比和转动速度对颗粒物料轴向流动特性的影响。模拟结果表明,系统内形成了显著的轴向对流结构:物料层顶部处颗粒物料会朝向滚筒固定端面一侧运动,而物料层趾部区域颗粒则朝向滚筒转动端面一侧运动。低转速条件下,沿物料自由表面由顶部到趾部,颗粒轴向速度呈非对称分布,顶部区域颗粒轴向速度绝对值显著小于趾部区域颗粒轴向速度绝对值;两部分区域颗粒轴向速度绝对值分别在y/R=±0.725处达到极大值,且轴向速度为0的位置并不出现在切向的中间位置。改变滚筒的轴长对这种非对称分布的影响近似可忽略,但是增大滚筒转速会增大颗粒轴向运动速度并逐步减弱这种非对称性。改变滚筒转速,对物料顶部区域颗粒的轴向流动的影响要大于对趾部区域颗粒轴向流动的影响。当滚筒轴径比达到1.2后,滚筒转动端面对物料轴向流动的影响区域不会随滚筒转速的增大而呈现显著变化。这些结果为实际滚筒碎渣工艺的结构优化提供了理论指导。王兴坤 张旭辉 郭辉 刘晓星 2023过程工程学报2023,23,2:0
5Mixing and heat transfer of binary mixtures of monodispersed spherical particles with different densities and thermal diffusivities显示文摘Mixing and heat transfer among particles in rotating drums are widely applied in numerous industrial processes.Generally,mixing and heat transfer occur simultaneously.Consequently,the interrelationship between mixing and heat transfer must be investigated for industrial applications.In this study,the radial mixing and heat transfer of spherical granular materials(3 mm)with various properties in batch rotating drums are investigated numerically using the discrete element method.The evolution of mixing and heat transfer characteristics with rotation speed is analyzed from the perspective of time and number of revolutions,respectively.The results indicate that,depending on the physical parameters and thermal properties of particles,the mixing quality does not always accurately reflect the heat transfer effect.In binary granular beds of monodispersed spherical particles with different densities and thermal diffusivities,the main heat transfer mechanism is related to the ratio of the thermal conductivity of the particles to that of the fluid.Qing Wang Bowen Liu 2021Particuology2021,19,5:0
6基于离散元素法的滚筒内颗粒物质分层现象(英文)显示文摘为了研究颗粒物质在旋转滚筒中出现的分层现象,从理论推导和数值模拟2个方面对颗粒物质的运动进行了研究.理论推导指出端盖的摩擦会使得靠近端盖处颗粒提升高度变高,由此引起小颗粒在滚筒中部聚集,出现颗粒分层现象.基于离散元素法建立了颗粒在滚筒中运动的模型,当端盖摩擦较大时,颗粒在端盖处堆积较高,并且在滚筒中部出现小颗粒聚集,与理论推导结果相符.此外,模拟实验从颗粒间的相对摩擦大小、端盖对颗粒摩擦大小、滚筒长径比以及滚筒转速等几个方面研究了颗粒分层的情况.模拟实验结果表明:端盖的摩擦对颗粒轴向分层有决定性影响,其余因素只会对颗粒的聚集形态产生影响.伍力 黄鹏 付帅旗 2017Journal of Southeast University(English Edition)2017,33,4:0
