1大别山亚热带常绿、落叶阔叶混交林相对花粉产量估算显示文摘相对花粉产量(RPP)与相关花粉源范围(RSAP)是利用景观重建法(LRA)定量恢复过去土地覆被的关键。大别山地区是亚热带常绿阔叶林和暖温带落叶阔叶林过渡区,对气候变化敏感。研究该地区RPP及RSAP对于完善亚热带孢粉现代过程具有重要意义。文章利用大别山56个样点的现代孢粉及植被数据估算了研究区RSAP及17种主要孢粉类型的RPP,并重建了研究区乔木类型现代植被盖度。估算的松属、栎属、枫香树、栗属、禾本科等17种孢粉类型的孢粉百分比总和在所有样点中超过90.14%,对应的植被平均盖度总和亦达到90.87%,代表了研究区沉积孢粉与植被总体情况。Extended R-value(ERV)模型分析显示,子模型1结合Prentice模型与研究区的植被-孢粉数据拟合度最高,大别山常绿、落叶阔叶林的RSAP为340 m;与其他地区相比RSAP偏小,可能与研究区植被空间格局及植被调查方法有关。以栎属为参照种(RPP=1±0),其余乔木植物RPP依次为松属(6.202±0.107)、枫杨(1.555±0.080)、栗属(0.530±0.026)、化香树(0.434±0.040)、江南桤木(0.266±0.074)、枫香树(0.148±0.029)、漆树科(0.141±0.018)、杉木(0.023±0.004);灌木和草本植物RPP分别为蒿属(0.318±0.065)、紫菀型菊科(0.143±0.018)、金缕梅科(0.056±0.022)、豆科(0.023±0.008)、蔷薇科(0.020±0.009)、禾本科(0.019±0.001)、桑科(0.010±0.007),蕨类植物(0.266±0.021)。枫香树、枫杨、化香树及漆树科的RPP为首次估算。不同地区同种孢粉类型RPP不同,与包含的物种的差异以及人为因素有关。LRA分析表明,本研究获得的RPP结果可信,可以应用于我国亚热带常绿和落叶阔叶混交林区的古植被重建。陈欢 许清海 张生瑞 孙沅浩 王蒙 周忠泽 2019第四纪研究2019,39,2:5
2Characteristics of the modern pollen assemblages from different vegetation zones in Northeast China:Implications for pollen-based climate reconstruction显示文摘Northeast China is an essential area for studying the strength of East Asian Summer Monsoon(EASM), due to its northernmost location in EASM domain. However, the lack of sufficient modern pollen data in this region hinders an effective interpretation of fossil pollen records and quantitative vegetation/climate reconstructions. Here, 44 surface pollen samples from forest, steppe, and meadow were used to explore pollen-vegetation-climate relationships. Cluster analysis, species indicator analysis, and principal components analysis, were used to identify the discontinuous and continuous trends in pollen dataset. In addition, correlation analysis and boosted regression trees were used to investigate primary explanatory variables, while coinertia analysis and redundancy analysis to examine pollen-vegetation and pollen-climate correlations respectively. Our results show that:(1) vegetation can be well represented by surface pollen assemblages, i.e. forest is characterized by a high proportion of tree pollen(>70%) dominated by Betula(>40%) along with Alnus, Larix, and Pinus, whereas Steppe by herb pollen(>80%),dominated by Artemisia, Chenopodiaceae;(2) significant correlations exist between pollen assemblages and mean annual temperature and then mean annual precipitation;(3) pollen ratios of Artemisia/Chenopodiaceae and arboreal/non-arboreal can respectively be used as good indicators of humidity and temperature in Northeast China.Qiaoyu CUI Yan ZHAO Feng QIN Chen LIANG Quan LI Rongwei GENG 2019Science China Earth Sciences2019,62,10:5
3浙江嵊州西白山表土花粉的初步研究显示文摘通过对浙江嵊州西白山香榧林、针阔混交林、茶园及竹园16份苔藓的花粉分析,研究其表土花粉与现代植被的关系。结果表明:①研究区植物孢粉共由50科属组成,以乔木花粉(主要为香榧和马尾松)为优势,含量为71.5%~92.9%,草本花粉次之,含量为5.3%~24.7%,蕨类孢子含量最低,含量为1.5%~7.2%,表土花粉组合基本上反映了该区植被的总体特征;②PCA结果显示,香榧和香榧林均能很好的区分出来,说明其具有很好的分异性;③香榧花粉在香榧林的含量较高,平均高达41.1%,但在林外,其含量则迅速降低,为5.2%~9.8%,可见香榧花粉的传播距离非常有限。该结果建议当地层中香榧花粉化石的含量达到10%,就可以初步断定在研究区附近有古香榧林的存在。郝秀东 欧阳绪红 郑丽波 钟华 汪美芳 2020地理科学2020,40,6:3
4重庆喀斯特地区现代花粉组合与植被的关系显示文摘重庆喀斯特地区4种不同地貌单元的81份表土和苔藓样品的孢粉分析结果表明:(1)研究区植物孢粉组合共由109科属组成。除金佛山外,其他植被退化严重地区样点均以草本和蕨类植物占据优势(剔除石漠化治理大量引种的马尾松、柳杉和侧柏等乔木花粉),其次是乔木植物花粉(主要为马尾松),灌木植物花粉含量很低,显示该区植被退化严重;(2)孢粉组合的PCA分析能够很好地将研究区的现代孢粉组合区分开来,较好地反映了重庆喀斯特地区不同地貌单元的植被特征,特别是石漠化区植被退化严重的孢粉组合特征。生态保护较好、自然植被发育的金佛山地区具有106科属的乔木、灌木与草本孢粉类型,以及高含量的乔木花粉,而喀斯特石漠化地区的鸡公山(46科属)、青木关镇(56科属)和南平镇(50科属)则表现为乔灌木孢粉类型较少;(3)银杉作为金佛山特有的孑遗植物,其花粉含量明显低于松属花粉,说明其花粉不利于远距离传播;(4)随着土地利用强度的增加,现代孢粉组合中乔灌木花粉含量和种类越少,草本和蕨类植物孢粉含量越多,且以耕地杂草为主。因此,土地利用方式的变化是喀斯特石漠化区次生植被及其现代孢粉组合变化的主要影响因素。研究可为重庆喀斯特地区土地利用策略的制定,重庆及其周边地区第四纪古植被、古气候和古环境重建研究,以及中国孢粉数据库建设提供基本数据和科学依据。郝秀东 欧阳绪红 谢世友 魏兴萍 2020生态学报2020,40,15:3
5Quantitative indicative significance of pollen assemblages on vegetation coverage in deciduous Quercus forest in the central Loess Plateau, China显示文摘We compared the pollen assemblages of surface moss samples and corresponding vegetation inventory data from 34 sites in the Huangling region of the central Loess Plateau. Our aims were to determine the characteristics of the pollen assemblages from the deciduous broadleaved forest climax community and its significance in terms of vegetation type and species composition. The pollen assemblages are dominated by woody plants such as Quercus(42% of total terrestrial pollen),Betula(16%) and Pinus(12%), with minor differences between different plant communities. The pollen assemblages of individual sampling sites differed from the vegetation composition within the 0–100 m scope and were more similar to the vegetation coverage within the 0–1000 m scope. This indicates that the surface pollen assemblages mainly reflect the comprehensive information from the vegetation composition of a large area, rather than the vegetation composition close to the sampling site. The contents of Quercus, Betula and Pinus pollen are high, and close to their vegetation coverage; whereas the contents of deciduous broadleaved arbor taxa(such as Malus and Acer) are lower, but their corresponding regional vegetation cover is higher. This suggests that the vegetation information conveyed by poorly-represented pollen taxa should be considered when interpreting stratigraphic pollen assemblages. Using the observed quantitative relationships between pollen and vegetation of the main taxa, we reconstructed the regional vegetation composition in the Gonghai Lake area of the northeastern Loess Plateau during the middle Holocene(7300–5000 yr BP). 6内蒙古典型草原和草甸草原相对花粉产量重估显示文摘相对花粉产量(RPP)是利用地层花粉数据定量重建古植被的重要参数,但目前估算的不同地区同一植物类型的RPP多存在差异。为了解植被盖度计算方法对花粉产量的影响,本项研究利用卫星影像数字化重新计算了内蒙古锡林郭勒典型草原和乌拉盖草甸草原采样点周边100 m以外的植被数据,利用ERV模型重新估算了主要花粉类型的RPP,并运用景观重建算法(LRA)进行了检验。锡林郭勒典型草原ERV模型分析显示,ERV子模型1结合1/d距离加权法与植被-花粉数据拟合度最高,得到的相关花粉源范围(RSAP)为1470 m;以蒿属为参照种(RPP=1±0),各科属RPP依次为藜科(0.53±0.03)、十字花科(0.17±0.01)、唐松草属(0.14±0.02)、菊科(0.09±0.01)、莎草科(0.08±0.006)、委陵菜属(0.07±0.01)、禾本科(0.050±0.003)。乌拉盖草甸草原ERV模型分析显示,ERV子模型1结合Prentice距离加权法与植被-花粉数据拟合度最高,得到的RSAP为770 m;以蒿属为参照种(RPP=1±0),各科属RPP依次为藜科(5.85±0.58)、蓼科(5.27±0.37)、石竹科(5.15±0.47)、莎草科(4.16±0.13)、菊科(1.63±0.09)、百合科(0.49±0.08)、唇形科(0.38±0.06)、禾本科(0.200±0.004)。重估的RSAP和RPP均与首次估算时存在差异,表明植被盖度计算方法确实会影响RSAP和RPP。景观重建算法对RPP检验结果表明,卫星影像数字化估算的RPP重建的植被盖度与实际植被的相关性更高。黄荣 许清海 田芳 李洁 王叶星 郝佳 2021第四纪研究2021,41,6:1
7Influence of plant coverage and environmental variables on pollen productivities:evidence from northern China显示文摘Pollen productivity is a critical parameter in the interpretation of pollen-vegetation relationships,and in the quantitative reconstructions of past vegetation from fossil pollen records.One-year monitoring records were collected for 143 pollen traps in various parts of northern China,together with modern vegetation data.Absolute Pollen Productivity Estimates(APPE)were calculated for 11 taxa using the ratio of pollen influx to plant coverage at each applicable sampling site,in which the plants of the target taxon were present.Relative Pollen Productivity Estimates(RPPE)were calculated for the 11 taxa(taking Poaceae as the reference taxon)at those sites in which each taxon occurred together with Poaceae.Artemisia and Chenopodiaceae were found to have the highest RPPEs and the largest RPPEs ranges,while Pinus and Quercus also had higher RPPEs than Poaceae;Abies,Betula,Larix,Picea and Cyperaceae had relatively low RPPEs.Variations in RPPE between different areas may be explained by variations in climatic conditions,plant coverage and land use practices which might influence plant growing situation.Marked effect that variations in pollen productivity can have on vegetation reconstructions was demonstrated by applying these distinct RPPEs to reconstructions of Holocene vegetation in the Lake Daihai area(northern China),such as a large range of RPPE produces a large range of plant coverage.Variations in RPPEs within a single taxon,related to vegetation coverage and climatic conditions,therefore need to be considered in future vegetation reconstructions.Kaixiu Zhang Wen Qin Fang Tian Xianyong Cao Yuecong Li Jule Xiao Wei Ding Ulrike Herzschuh Qinghai Xu 2020Frontiers of Earth Science2020,14,4:0
8Surface pollen and modern vegetation in Southern Xinjiang,China显示文摘The study of modern pollen,and vegetation can improve the accuracy of paleoenvironmental reconstruction based on fossil pollen data.A total of 188 pollen surface samples were collected from Southern Xinjiang(34°00’–43°00’N,74°00’–94°00’E)in China,with an elevation range of 888–4530 m.Surface pollen and vegetation were studied in the northern region of the Kunlun Mountains and the southern region of the Tianshan Mountains.The results showed that the surface pollen assemblages on the southern slope of the Tianshan Mountains(3530–1124 m)were divided into three pollen zones,namely,montane steppe,montane desert steppe,and montane desert.These zones were dominated by Artemisia,Chenopodiaceae,and Ephedra pollen.The surface pollen assemblages in the eastern Pamir Plateau(4530–1287 m)could be divided into alpine meadow,montane desert steppe,and montane desert zones,which were predominantly characterized by Artemisia,Chenopodiaceae,and Asteraceae pollen.However,the Southern Tarim Basin(3548–888 m)comprised montane desert steppe and montane desert zones,which was dominated by Artemisia and Chenopodiaceae pollen.The geographic distribution of the surface pollen sites obtained using ArcGIS,the R-value,and Pearson correlation analyses indicated that the over-represented Picea and Pinus pollen were of external origin and were transported by wind,water(rivers),and ice(glacier movement).Over-representation of Ephedra and Nitraria pollen was mainly distributed in the montane desert and desert steppe zones,respectively.Pollen from Chenopodiaceae and Artemisia were over-represented and broadly distributed across Southern Xinjiang.Juglans pollen was concentrated in areas with walnut trees,strongly indicating the presence of local parent plants.According to the Hybrid Singleparticle Lagrangian Integrated Trajectory model,more Pinus pollen was transported to the Pamir region by external airflows during spring and summer,resulting in its higher surface pollen content.Research elucidating the relationship between modern pollen and vegetation in southern Xinjiang could provide data describing the surface palynological database of Xinjiang for use in large-scale paleoenvironmental reconstructions.Yun ZHANG Lixin CHEN Yaoyao XI Zhaochen KONG Xianguo QIAO 2024Science China Earth Sciences2024,67,2:0

10Pollen dispersal in traditional processing of buckwheat and its application in agricultural archaeology显示文摘Pollen, as an important index of the paleoenvironment and ancient human agricultural activities, is also one of the significant indicators for research on buckwheat agriculture. In order to test buckwheat pollen dispersal during each crop processing stage, we applied traditional processing simulation experiments of buckwheat crops in a modern village, to collect aerial pollen and perform statistical analysis. The result has shown that the distribution of buckwheat pollen in residential areas is closely related to human processing behaviour. Among all the processing procedures, pollen release rate is highest in the threshing and the sieving stages. The redistribution and burial of pollen during crop processing is an important reason for the prominent increase of crop pollen concentration in the cultural layer. 11Regional features of pollen R-values in China显示文摘Establishing a quantitative relationship between modern pollen and vegetation remains a pivotal but intricate pursuit within the field of Quaternary palynology.The R-value,a well-established and traditional metric characterized by its simplicity and direct applicability,serves to calibrate the nonlinear disparities between surface pollen and modern vegetation.This study entails the construction of a comprehensive pollen R-value dataset for China derived from R-values published between 1987 and 2021.The dataset,compiled after rigorous screening,calibration,and standardization processes,encompasses 898 modern pollen sampling sites and 2115 pollen R-value data entries,encapsulating 152 pollen taxa spanning 65 families and 113 genera.Synthesizing the extracted R-values yielded the following insights:(1)A macrospatial analysis validates previously established knowledge at a site-specific scale.Evidently,pollen R-value variations across China are statistically significant.Approximately two-thirds of pollen taxa exhibit underrepresentation(e.g.,Taxodiaceae,Corylus,Nitraria,Tamarix,Cyperaceae,Poaceae,and Fabaceae),while the remaining one-third display overrepresentation(e.g.,Pinus,Picea,Betula,Ephedra,Chenopodiaceae,and Artemisia).The degree of underrepresentation surpasses that of overrepresentation,and the representation patterns of Castanea,Quercus,Polygonaceae,and Asteraceae are contingent upon vegetation types.(2)Pollen R-values follow distinct spatial distribution patterns within China.In the woody vegetation region of eastern China,R-values progressively decline from north to south,correlating with rising temperatures and precipitation.Conversely,in herbaceous vegetation regions of northern and western China,R-values decrease from east to west and from northeast to southwest,corresponding to increased aridity.Nevertheless,pollen R-values manifest variation contingent on pollen taxa,vegetation types,and climatic regions,even differing for the same taxa across varying vegetation types and climatic conditions.This highlights the intricate nature of pollen R-values and their interpretation of pollen-vegetation relationships.(3)Pollen R-values and relative pollen production estimates exhibit resemblances and a modest positive correlation.However,adjudicating between them as representatives of vegetation requires nuanced consideration,as both metrics convey pollen representation within vegetation,demonstrating the multifaceted relationships they share with modern vegetation.Further recommendations suggest that when assessing pollen representation in modern vegetation,fossil pollen content should be weighted using either the median or log-transformed R-value.This approach underscores the necessity of comprehensively accounting for divergences and convergences across various spatial scales and vegetation types,particularly the disparities observed within identical pollen taxa across dissimilar regions.Jie XIA Jian NI 2024Science China Earth Sciences2024,67,1:0
