| 1 | The roles of traditional Chinese medicine in gene therapy显示文摘The field of gene therapy has been increasingly studied in the last four decades, and its clinical application has become a reality in the last 15 years. Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM), an important component of complementary and alternative medicine, has evolved over thousands of years with its own unique system of theories, diagnostics and therapies. TCM is well-known for its various roles in preventing and treating infectious and chronic diseases, and its usage in other modern clinical practice. However, whether TCM can be applied alongside gene therapy is a topic that has not been systematically examined. Here we provide an overview of TCM theories in relation to gene therapy. We believe that TCM theories are congruent with some principles of gene therapy. TCM-derived drugs may also act as gene therapy vehicles, therapeutic genes, synergistic therapeutic treatments, and as co-administrated drugs to reduce side effects. | 2 | 糖尿病患者C-肽、空腹血糖、糖化血清蛋白和糖化血红蛋白的相关性分析显示文摘分析糖尿病患者中C-肽、空腹血糖(FBG)、糖化血清蛋白(GSP)及糖化血红蛋白(HbA1c)水平的相关性.收集糖尿病患者及查体健康人群的血,用化学发光分析法检测C-肽和胰岛素水平,用高效液相层析法检测HbA1c,用生化仪检测FBG和GSP.结果显示糖尿病患者血中C-肽值和胰岛素水平分别为(320.6±103.6)pmol/L、(5.18±1.39)mU/L,分别明显低于健康人群(P<0.05);但血中FBG、GSP、HbA1c水平分别为(9.69±2.14)mmol/L、(8.27±1.53)%、(3.75±0.64)mmol/L,分别明显高于健康人群(P<0.05).C-肽与FBG呈负相关(r=-0.565,P<0.01);HbA1c与GSP呈正相关(r=0.523,P<0.01).结果提示联合检测C-肽、FBG、HbA1c及GSP,能更准确反映患者血糖的控制水平,提高糖尿病的诊疗水平. | 张萍 彭俊华 杨迎桂 杨志华 冯小明 | 2014 | 甘肃科学学报2014,26,4: | 14 |

| 4 | Characteristics of blood glucose excursions in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with three different Traditional Chinese Medicine syndromes显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To explore the characteristics of blood glucose excursions of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with three different Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) syndromes.METHODS:One hundred and nine patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus were recruited from the Department of Endocrinology and the Department of TCM of the Sixth People's Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University.Subjects were divided into three groups according to TCM syndrome:intrinsic Damp(n- 42),Yin deficiency and internal Heat(n = 25),and Qi and Yin deficiency(n- 42).Subcutaneous interstitial glucose was monitored with a continuous glucose monitoring system for 3consecutive days to investigate the glycemic profile in each group.Plasma C-peptide levels were measured,and an arginine test was taken in 10 patients randomly selected from each group.Glucose data and glycemic variability were analyzed to investigate the differences among the groups.The change in C-peptide levels and the results from arginine trial were used to evaluate β cell function.RESULTS:Indicators reflecting blood glucose level were the highest in subjects with Yin deficiency and internal Heat syndrome,and parameters reflecting glycemic variability were the lowest in those with Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome.The change in C-peptide levels showed that subjects with Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome had the best βcell function among the three groups;this was confirmed by the arginine trial.CONCLUSION:Patients with Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome had a more stable blood glucose profile,as glycemic variability was higher in those with intrinsic Damp syndrome and those with Yin deficiency and internal Heat syndrome. | Zhang Hongyan Zhou Jian Zhang Lei Ma Jianhui Sun Yongning Zhao Yuwu | 2015 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2015,35,5: | 4 |
| 5 | Tacit Knowledge Mining:The Key Traditional Chinese Medical Inheritance显示文摘Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)is a treasure of traditional Chinese culture and a gift to the world.TCM tacit knowledge refers to the knowledge and experiences formed in the process of learning and practice of TCM.The objective of this study is to discuss the importance of TCM tacit knowledge in the inheritance and education of TCM.As the essence of the TCM,TCM tacit knowledge has the characteristics of massive,complicated,relativistic,highly individualized,constantly innovative,the dependence of cultural background and the regional environment,as well as difficult to explicate.It exists in every aspect of the TCM theory and the process of dialectical treatment.Besides the traditional master‑apprentice,family‑based,school‑based,and inheritance and education methods,together with the inheritance based on the books,images,and network platforms,in the process of TCM modernization,a variety of modern theoretical models and computing techniques have also been used in the mining of the TCM tacit knowledge.In this study,we introduced the usage of SECI model,complexity adaptive system,latent variable model,and some of the data mining technologies in the TCM tacit knowledge mining.An accurate and efficient inheritance of TCM tacit knowledge is the key to maintain the vitality and innovative development of TCM.Under the reasonable application and combination of the traditional education methods,modern mining methods,and further the artificial intelligence,the explicit and inheritance of TCM tacit knowledge will get tremendous development,and it could extremely improve the efficiency and accuracy of the TCM inheritance and the TCM modernization. | Xu Lan Junnan Zhao Ying Zhang Yao Chen Yaru Yan Yue Liu Fengqin Xu | 2020 | Chinese Medicine and Culture2020,3,1: | 1 |
