1真实空间的相互作用费米子体系动力学实验数字量子模拟(英文)显示文摘上个世纪80年代,Benioff和Feyman分别从降低热耗和模拟量子体系的需求出发独立地提出了量子计算机的概念.现在Shor算法、Grover算法和量子模拟是最著名的3类量子算法,也是应用最多的量子算法.量子模拟可分为相似量子模拟和数字量子模拟.相似量子模拟要求两个体系在结构上要很接近,这限制了其应用范围.而数字量子模拟避免了这一要求,因而具有可以普适模拟量子体系.由于多体量子体系的复杂性,其量子模拟很困难,以前量子模拟研究主要在单个粒子的情形.本工作首次实现了真实空间中相互作用的多粒子数字量子模拟实验.在小型核磁共振量子信息处理体系,实验再现了费米子在吸引排斥库伦相互作用下的排斥,和在吸引相互作用下的靠近等量子动力学过程.这一结果充分表明,利用数字量子模拟算法,我们可以利用现有的小型量子信息处理器,能够充分模拟多体量子动力学的空间演化.而空间量子动力学演化在许多领域如多体量子体系物理研究、量子化学过程、生物钟的量子效应等起着重要的作用.本工作对量子模拟的研究具有重要的推动作用.陆遥 冯冠儒 李岩松 龙桂鲁 2015Science Bulletin2015,60,2:2
2Scheme for the preparation of macroscopic W-type state of atomic ensembles in cavity QED coulped with optical fibers显示文摘We propose a potentially practical scheme to generate macroscopic W-type state of N atomic ensembles in cavity QED system consisting of N atomic ensembles trapped in N single-mode cavities connected by(N 1)optical fibers.We show that the N-qubit W-type state of atomic ensembles can be realized with high success probabilities if the coulping strength of the cavity-fiber is much stronger than that of cavity-atom.We also show that both the growth of atomic number in each ensemble and the increase of the number of atomic ensembles can diminish the detrimental influence from dissipative processes.This idea provides a scalable way to an atomic-ensemble-based quantum network,which is plausible with current available technology.LIU YiMin 2013Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2013,56,11:1
3Optical quantum simulation of Abelian gauge field using cold atomic ensembles coupled with arrays of optical cavities显示文摘A potentially practical scheme is proposed to realize optical quantum simulation of artificial Abelian gauge field in a scalable architecture consisting of cold atomic ensembles with optical cavities.In the present model,the collective excitations of cold atomic ensembles can be converted to the bosonic modes within the low-excitation limit,where the structure of two-dimension(2D)square plaquette enables the polaritons to move like a charged particle subjected to an external magnetic field.We find that the energy spectrum of this hybrid system exhibits a shape of Hofstadter buttery.Our work provides a different perspective to the quantum simulation of condensed matter and many-body physics in the context of cavity quantum electrodynamics.The experimental feasibility are justified using the existing techniques.LIU Yi Min LIU Rong Wan 2014Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2014,57,12:0
4On the developments and applications of optical microcavities: an overview显示文摘Devices based on the optical microcavities which confne light to small volumes by resonant recirculation are already indispensable for a wide range of studies and applications.This article provides an overview of the development and application of optical microcavities.We frst give a pedagogical introduction to the interaction between a two-level system and a quantized electromagnetic feld in the cavity,based on the so-called Jaynes-Cummings model,which is basic and important theory model in the cavity quantum electrodynamics,and various quantum phenomena and applications of it.Then,we overview three basic types of the microcavity structures,and also highlight the progress achieved so far in these systems.Based on these three structures,we give an account of three representative applications of optical microcavities,and explain their microcavity requirements and the state of the art for these devices,before outlining the challenges for the future.WANG TieJun CAO Cong WANG Chuan 2013Science China(Information Sciences)2013,56,12:0
