2Hot Deformation Behavior of an Ultra-High-Strength Fe–Ni–Co-Based Maraging Steel显示文摘Hot processing behavior of an ultra-high-strength Fe–Ni–Co-based maraging steel was studied in temperature range of 900–1200℃and strain rate range of 0.001–10 s^-1.Deformation processing parameters and optimum hot working window were characterized via flow stress analysis,constitutive equation construction,hot processing map calculation and microstructure evolution,respectively.Critical strain value for dynamic recrystallization was determined through theoretical mathematical differential method:the inflection point ofθ–σand-αθ/ασ-σcurves.It was found that the flow stress increased with the decrease in deformation temperature and increase in the strain rate.The power dissipation maps in the strain range of 0.1–0.6 were entirely similar with the tendency of contour lines which implied that strain had no strong effect on the dissipation maps.Nevertheless,the instability maps showed obvious strain sensitivity with increasing strain,which was ascribed to the flow localization and instability.The optimized hot processing window of the experimental steel was obtained as 1100–1200℃/0.001–1 s^-1 and 1000–1100℃/0.001–0.1 s^-1,with the efficiency range of 20–40%.Owing to high Mo content in the experimental steel,high dynamic activation energy,Q=439.311 kJ mol^-1,was achieved,indicating that dynamic recrystallization was difficult to occur in the hot deformation process,which was proved via microstructure analysis under different hot deformation conditions.Le Zhang Wei Wang M. 3Hot Workability of the as-Cast 21Cr Economical Duplex Stainless Steel Through Processing Map and Microstructural Studies Using Different Instability Criteria显示文摘To develop a fundamental understanding of the flow behavior and optimal hot workability parameters of this material,the hot workability and deformation mechanisms of the as-cast 21Cr EDSS were studied using processing map technology combined with microstructure analysis and isothermal hot compression over the temperature range of1000–1150°C and strain rate range of 0.01–10 s^(-1).The processing maps and constitutive equation of peak stress were developed based on Prasad’s and Murty’s criteria.The results show that the processing maps exhibit a stable domain at1000–1150°C and 0.01–1 s^(-1).The instability domain is exhibited at high strain rates(C1 s^(-1)).This implies that Murty’s criterion can predict the unstable domain with high reliability.The detailed deformation mechanisms are also studied by microstructure observation,showing that the flow localization and microcracking are responsible for the flow instability.Jing Han Jia-Peng Sun Ying Han Huan Liu 2017Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2017,30,11:2
4Hot Deformation Stability of Extruded AZ61 Magnesium Alloy Using Different Instability Criteria显示文摘The hot deformation stability of extruded AZ61 magnesium alloy was investigated by means of hot compression tests at the temperature range of 250-400 ℃ and strain rate range of 0.001-1 s^(-1).The 3D instability maps considering the effect of strain were developed to delineate the regions of unstable flow on the basis of Jonas' s,Semiatin's,Prasad's,Murty's,Gegel's and Alexander's criteria.Since non-uniform deformation occurs due to the initial microstructure inhomogeneity,the friction,etc.,finite element simulations were performed to determine the position of the specimens which can mostly represent the preset deformation parameter.Detailed microstructural investigation on such position was carried out to examine the validity of the instability maps,and the results indicate that for extruded AZ61 magnesium alloy:(1) Jonas' s and Semiatin's criteria conservatively predict the instability regions;(2) Gegel's and Alexander's criteria inadequately predict the instability regions;(3) Prasad's and Murty's criteria provide more effective predictions of the instability regions than Jonas' s,Semiatin's,Gegel's and Alexander's criteria.Ju-Qiang Li Juan Liu Zhen-Shan Cui 2015Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2015,28,11:0
