2雷公藤甲素对雄性布氏田鼠繁殖力的抑制效果显示文摘为评价植物源鼠类不育剂雷公藤甲素对雄性布氏田鼠的不育效果,本研究采用每千克体重0 mg、0.1 mg、0.2 mg、0.4 mg的雷公藤甲素溶液对雄鼠进行连续7 d灌胃处理,并在停药2周和4周后检测其体重、性腺重、精子密度及配对雌鼠怀孕率与胎仔数。结果表明,雷公藤甲素处理未显著降低雄性布氏田鼠的体重、性腺相对重量、附睾尾精子密度,以及停药4周组配对雌鼠的怀孕率与胚胎数;但停药2周低剂量(0.1 mg)处理组配对雌鼠的怀孕率和胎仔数出现显著降低,怀孕率与对照组(100%)相比下降66.7%,胎仔数与对照组(8.3)相比下降了72.3%。这说明,雷公藤甲素对雄性布氏田鼠繁殖力的抑制作用主要表现在受孕阶段,但其不育效果未呈现剂量效应,反而在低浓度表现出更好效果。雷公藤甲素对附睾功能和精子动力学参数的影响可能是其不育效果的主要原因,但是仍需深入研究不同剂量的作用机制,为其合理施用提供理论依据。王乐文 应亚奇 刘晓辉 宋英 李宁 王大伟 2021兽类学报2021,41,3:1
3Reversible antispermatogenic and antisteroidogenic activities of Feronia limonia fruit pulp in adult male rats显示文摘Objective:To explore the antispermatogenic and testicular antisleroidogenic activities of Feronia limonia fruit pulp southern India.Methods:Fourty Wistar male albino rats(Ratios norvegicus)were equally divided into four groups.Experimental groups were administered with the ethanolic extract of Feronia lirnonia(F.limoni)fruit pulp at doses of 250 and 500 nig/kg body weight once daily for 55 days.All treated rats had corresponding recovery groups.At the end of each treatment periods,various spermatological indices,tissue biochemicals and testicular enzymes levels were analysed.Blood profiles were also estimated.Results:Compared with the control,the F.lirnonia.fruit pulp at both dose leveb did not decrease body weight,which were associated with decline in epididymal sperm count,motility,viability and increased percent of abnormal sperm.Further,F.limonia.fruit pulp at 500 mg/kg body weight markedly reduced the epididymal and testicular protein content by 24.58%and 29.86%,respectively,as well as the glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase and△~5-3β-hydroxy steroid dehydrogenase)levels by 42.82%and 38.08%,respectively,while a significant elevation was observed in testicular cholesterol and ascorbic acid content.A gradual recovery of all parameters was observed after 55 days of treatment withdrawal.No significant alterations in haematological indices were observed.Conclusions:The present findings indicate that F.lirnonia fruit pulp may have reversible antispermatogenic and antisteroidogenic properties,and could partially support the traditional use as mate contraceptive.Ramaiyan Dhanapal J.Vijaya Ratna I.Sarathchandran Malaya Gupta 2012Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2012,2,9:0
4Histological and ultrastructural studies on the toxic effect of pan masala and its amelioration by Elettaria cardamomum显示文摘AIM:To investigate the histological and ultrastructural changes observed in pan masala intoxicated mammalian testes under the effect of cardamom.METHOD:Male Swiss mice were given pan masala orally at a dose of 2% of the feed and cardamom at a dose of 0.2% of the feed.They were divided into three groups,control(Group I),pan masala-treated(Group II),and a combination of pan masala and cardamom-treated group(Group III).Histologically,the testes of Group II mice displayed degeneration of tubular epithelium,disruption of spermatogenesis,and a marked reduction in germ cells.RESULTS:When cardamom was given,damage was less with fewer distorted cells and also improvement with normal tubules and spermatid differentiation in Group III.Ultrastructurally,pan masala-treated testes showed cytoplasmic vacuolation,shrinkage and pyknotic nuclei of spermatogonia,and abnormal acrosomal granules.CONCLUSION:When cardamom was given,the amelioration process was more evident showing a comparable morphology with control.Sweety Kumari Abhijit Dutta 2014Chinese Journal of Natural Medicines2014,12,3:0
