1AN EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF THE DYNAMIC AXIAL BUCKLING OF CYLINDRICAL SHELLS USING A KOLSKY BAR显示文摘Several experiments were performed with a Kolsky Bar(Split Hop-kinson Pressure Bar)device to investigate the dynamic axial buckling of cylindricalshells.The Kolsky Bar is a loading as well as a measuring device which can subjectthe shells to a fairly good square pulse.An attempt is made to understand the in-teraction between the stress wave and the dynamic buckling of cylindrical shells.Itis suggested that the dynamic axial buckling of the shells,elastic or elasto-plastic,ismainly due to the compressive wave rather than the flexural or bending wave.Theexperimental results seem to support the two critical velocity theory for plastic buck-ling,with V_c1 corresponding to an axisymmetric buckling mode and V_c2 correspondingto a non-svmmetric buckling mode.李铭 王仁 韩铭宝 1994Acta Mechanica Sinica1994,10,3:1
2THREE-DIMENSIONAL AXISYMMETRIC FLOW IN PERFECTLY PLASTIC METALS显示文摘A method is presented for solving the three-dimensional axisymmet-ric field equations for a perfectly plastic material which obeys the von-Mises yieldcriterion and the Levy-Mises flow law. The method is used for the particular case inwhich a small axisymmetric perturbed flow is superposed on a uniform flow withoutflow reversal taking place. The method then leads to solving a fourth order differen-tial equation for the velocity potential. The special case of a thick cylindrical shellunder compressive flow is examined. The solution so obtained, being derived fromthe three dimensional theory, includes a correct treatment of transverse shear distor-tion.
