1青藏高原东部隆升启动了始新世独特亚洲季风系统和生物多样性现代化显示文摘青藏高原东部的隆升、亚洲季风系统的发展和全球重要生物多样性热点的形成紧密相关,对此我们目前知之甚少.结合区域资料,利用藏东稻城热鲁盆地的沉积地层、火山岩U-Pb年龄、古土壤钙质结核团簇同位素古温度和植物化石湿焓定量重建了藏东50~34Ma期间从低海拔(0.6km)沙漠到接近现代海拔(3.5km)高山森林的详细隆升历史.综合植物化石CLAMP、动物化石牙釉质氧同位素和古气候模拟结果,揭示藏东的隆升推动了热带辐合带季风向北渗透,形成了最初的与现今季风系统截然不同的始新世亚洲季风,它具有双峰降水特征和特别潮湿的冬季.此外,热鲁盆地丰富的动植物化石组成表明横断山特殊的生物多样性在45~40 Ma已经建立,比普遍接受的现代亚洲生物多样性是中新世才出现的结论大大提前.藏东始新世以来的崛起与特色亚洲季风系统协同演化产生了复杂的高度波动的生态位,奠定了现代亚洲生物多样性基础.何松林 丁林 熊中玉 Robert A.Spicer Alex Farnsworth Paul J.Valdes 王超 蔡福龙 王厚起 孙永 曾登 谢静 岳雅慧 赵晨圆 宋培平 吴晨 2022Science Bulletin2022,67,21:3
2Integrating fossils in a molecular-based phylogeny and testing them as calibration points for divergence time estimates in Menispermaceae显示文摘The phylogeny of extant Menispermaceae (Ranunculales) is reconstructed based on DNA sequences of two chloroplast genes (rbcL and atpB) from 94 species belonging to 56 genera. Fossilized endocarps represent 34 genera. The positions of these are inferred using 30 morphological characters and the molecular phylogeny as a backbone constraint. Nine of the thirteen nodes that are each dated by a fossil are used as calibration points for the estimates of molecular divergence times. BEAST is used to estimate stem age (121.2 Myr) and crown age (105.4 Myr) for Menispermaceae. This method does not require an input tree topology and can also account for rate heterogeneity among lineages. The sensitivity of these estimates to fossil constraints is then evaluated by a cross-validation procedure. The estimated origin for Menispermaceae is dated to the mid-Jurassic if the customary maximum age of 125 Myr for eudicots is not implemented. All constraints when used alone failed to estimate node ages in some parts of the tree. Fossils from the Palaeocene and Eocene impose strict constraints. Likewise, the use of Prototinomiscium as a dating constraint for Menispermaceae appears to be a conservative approach.Frederic M.B. JACQUES Wei WANG Rosa Del C. 3Diversity of Menispermaceae from the Paleocene and Eocene of South China显示文摘We present here the earliest known Asian fossil records of the Menispermaceae based on fossil fruits from Paleocene and Eocene localities in South China.A new genus and species,Paleoorbicarpum parvum sp.noy,,and two new species of Stephania Loureiro,S.ornamenta sp.nov.and S.geniculata sp.nov,are recognized from Paleocene deposits of the Sanshui Basin,Guangdong,and a new occurrence of the widespread Eocene species Stephania auriformis(Hollick)Han&Manchester is recognized from the Maoming Basin,Guangdong.The Paleocene Stephania specimens described here represent the earliest fossil endocarp record of the Menispermaceae in eastern Asia.This discovery shows that the moonseed family had arrived in tropical and humid South China by at least the middle Paleocene,which provides important evidence for the origin and phytogeographic history of the family.Meng Han Xin-Kai Wu Ming Tu Tatiana M.Kodrul Jian-Hua Jin 2020Journal of Systematics and Evolution2020,58,3:1
