1长江口外及浙江沿岸夏季上升流的潮生机制显示文摘基于普林斯顿海洋模式(POM)建立了MASNUM(Laboratory of MArine Science and NUmerical Modeling)海浪-潮流-环流耦合模式,对长江口外及浙江沿岸海域夏季的上升流现象进行了数值模拟,并从潮运动的角度分析了其动力机制,对该海域潮致上升流的形成机理给出了一种新的解释.研究表明,该海域上升流的潮生机制同时体现在正压和斜压2个方面:单纯的正压潮余流能够通过底层辐合和沿地形坡度爬升两种过程产生上升流;在斜压海洋环境下,强烈的潮混合作用在近岸陆坡区形成显著的锋面,锋面两侧存在明显的密度差异,该密度差异造成的水平压力梯度诱生出沿锋面的次级环流,其上升流分支出现在锋区附近.数值试验表明,潮运动是该海域上升流的一个极为重要的诱发因子,甚至占主导地位.研究还发现,与单纯模拟M2分潮相比,对M2,S2,K1及O14个主要分潮耦合计算有助于改善正压潮致上升流的模拟结果.吕新刚 乔方利 夏长水 袁业立 2007中国科学(D辑)2007,37,1:35
22008与2010年黄海浒苔漂移输运特征对比显示文摘利用中国近海三维海浪-潮流-环流耦合数值模式,分别对2008年6~7月(青岛奥帆赛前期)和2010年6~7月黄海浒苔的漂移开展了模拟和预测,研究了黄海漂浮浒苔在青岛聚集的动力学成因.揭示了2008年6月浒苔之所以在青岛近岸大量聚集,是因为该海区月平均表层流向向岸且与岸线几乎垂直;相比之下,2008年7月上旬表层流场与岸线大致平行,因而海上浒苔的漂移对奥帆赛场的压力明显减缓.利用数值模式预测2010年6月下旬浒苔主体不会在青岛登陆,该预测与其后的观测事实相吻合.研究发现,风场驱动下的海洋表层流场年际变化是浒苔漂移路径变异的主要原因,提出区域气候变化是影响海洋生态系统的一种途径.乔方利 王关锁 吕新刚 戴德君 2011科学通报2011,56,18:40
32011年3月日本福岛核泄漏物质输运扩散路径的情景模拟和预测显示文摘2011年3月受日本以东地震和海啸影响,日本福岛核电站发生核物质泄漏.本文提出泄漏物质自然输运的3种通道:大气快速输运通道、海洋表层慢速输运通道和海洋内部极慢速输运通道.基于短期气候预测模式和海洋环流数值模式,在理想假设条件下,对核泄漏物质的输运扩散路径进行了情景模拟和预测.结果显示:若泄漏源设置在近地层992hPa,10d后影响范围可达北美大部地区,但浓度比所设置的源区浓度低约6个量级,15d后可影响到欧洲,20d后前锋进入中国西部地区,30d后则布满整个纬带;若泄漏源在5km高度,泄漏10d后影响范围可覆盖欧洲,15d即可布满整个纬带;若泄漏源在10km高度,10d后即可影响中国大部分区域.核泄漏物质通过海洋表层通道向东输运则缓慢得多,50d后到达150°E左右,且影响范围仅在一条狭窄条带内.大气通道影响范围巨大,甚至可到达赤道海域上空,但核泄漏物质的浓度很快降低.大气环流上游如北美和欧洲的大气质量监测结果对中国具有重要的参考价值.乔方利 王关锁 赵伟 赵杰臣 戴德君 宋亚娟 宋振亚 2011科学通报2011,56,12:28
4Drift characteristics of green macroalgae in the Yellow Sea in 2008 and 2010显示文摘In order to investigate the aggregation mechanism of green macroalgae (Enteromorpha prolifera) on the Qingdao coastline,the macroalgal drift characteristics in the Yellow Sea during June and July in 2008 and 2010 were simulated using a three-dimensional wave-tide-circulation coupled model.In June 2008,the monthly-mean surface current flowed onshore and its direction was almost perpendicular to the Qingdao coastline,which was identified as the main reason for a huge accumulation of algae in the coastal waters off Qingdao.The current became parallel to the coastline in July 2008;this shift in current direction led to little accumulation of algae near Qingdao and thus relieved the environmental pressure on the Olympic sailing events.By using the coupled model,we predicted that there would be no serious algal accumulation at Qingdao in late June 2010,which was later confirmed by observations.This study demonstrated that the drift path of macroalgae near Qingdao is mainly controlled by the surface current,which is primarily driven by wind.Regional climate change is therefore one of the means by which physical processes affect marine ecosystems.QIAO FangLi WANG GuanSuo LüXinGang DAI DeJun 2011Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,21:25
5近岸强海流切变锋作用下悬浮沉积物的输送和沉积——以山东半岛东端外海为例显示文摘利用2007年国家908专项ST02区块(渤海海峡及北黄海)水体专项夏季和冬季两个航次调查的温度、浊度和悬浮体浓度数据,选取了跨越山东半岛东端外海泥质沉积体的B1和B2两个断面,结合该区浅地层剖面资料,辅以研究海域的冬季环流数值模拟,着重分析了山东半岛东端外海强海流切变锋作用下的悬浮体输送和沉积特征。结果表明山东半岛东端外海悬浮体向外海输送存在类似'夏储冬输'的规律:夏季,北黄海海水浊度普遍小,不仅北黄海温跃层抑制了底层悬浮体向中上层水体扩散,而且北黄海冷水团在中底层与山东半岛东部沿岸水也形成了显著的温度和悬浮体锋面,阻碍了悬浮物的纬向输送,故夏季应是悬浮体沉积的主要时节;冬季,温跃层消亡,在强风的作用下,山东半岛东部悬浮体浓度高且垂向混合较好,然而在泥质沉积体顶积层两侧,山东半岛东部沿岸中下层北上的逆风补偿流和北上的黄海暖流与位于顶积层上方表中层南下的沿岸流构成了两道显著的强海流切变锋,使得底积层上大量的再悬浮沉积物不能越过山东半岛东部陆架末梢,从而有助于形成山东半岛东端外海特有的Ω状泥质沉积体。王勇智 乔璐璐 杨作升 鲍献文 赵美训 王关锁 2013沉积学报2013,31,3:19
6Predicting the spread of nuclear radiation from the damaged Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant显示文摘Japan suffered a M9.0 earthquake and massive tsunami on March 11, 2011, which seriously damaged the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant and caused a nuclear crisis. The spread of nuclear radiation from the power plant through the atmosphere and ocean was predicted with a short-term climate forecasting model and an ocean circulation model under some idealized assumptions. If nuclear matter were leaked in the near-ground layer of 992 hPa, the climate model results show that the nuclear radiation would cover North America 10 days after the initial leakage, with the concentration at the forefront dramatically reduced to 10 millionths of the initial model concentration at the source. The radiation would span Europe in 15 days and cover much of the Northern Hemisphere in 30 days. If the initial leakage was assumed to occur in the layer 5000-m above the ground, the radiation would cover Europe in 10 days and cover much of the Northern Hemisphere in 15 days. Moreover, under the assumption that the nuclear matter leaked in the 10000-m layer, the radiation would affect much of China after 10 days. The ocean circulation model indicates that the nuclear material would be slowly transported northeast of Fukushima and reach 150°E in 50 days, and the nuclear debris in the ocean would be confined to a narrow band. Compared with the spread in the ocean, the area affected by leaked nuclear radiation in the atmosphere would be very large. 7长江口叶绿素分布特征和营养盐来源数值模拟研究显示文摘利用POM(Princeton Ocean Model)模型在长江口及其邻近海域建立了三维斜压动力学模式,该模式开边界处考虑了潮汐、潮流、台湾暖流、沿岸流和长江径流。模式成功地模拟了长江口及其邻近海域的潮汐特征和环流特征。此外2004年11月的实测数据分析结果表明在观测区域的水下河谷西侧位置的强表面羽状锋内,存在着高叶绿素a浓度分布。为了分析长江口外存在的高叶绿素浓度分布和长江口的营养盐输入的相关关系,进行了两次数值试验:(1)给定长江口的径流量和径流输入的营养盐,把长江口的输入作为营养盐输入的惟一源;(2)在开边界处,根据实测资料给定营养盐的输入,同时考虑径流营养盐输入。在(1)、(2)两种情况下,把硝酸盐作为保守物质,进行了平流扩散数值试验。模式的模拟结果和实测资料的对比分析表明:沿岸流、台湾暖流的营养盐输入和上升流从底部输入的营养盐是此高叶绿素浓度区营养盐的重要来源。杨德周 尹宝树 俞志明 白涛 刘兴泉 2009海洋学报2009,31,1:9
8Tidally induced upwelling off Yangtze River estuary and in Zhejiang coastal waters in summer显示文摘MASNUM wave-tide-circulation coupled numerical model (MASNUM coupled model, hereinafter) is de-veloped based on the Princeton Ocean Model (POM). Both POM and MASNUM coupled model are ap-plied in the numerical simulation of the upwelling off Yangtze River estuary and in Zhejiang coastal waters in summer. The upwelling mechanisms are analyzed from the viewpoint of tide, and a new mechanism is proposed. The study suggests that the tidally inducing mechanism of the upwelling in-cludes two dynamic aspects: the barotropic and the baroclinic process. On the one hand, the residual currents induced by barotropic tides converge near the seabed, and upwelling is generated to maintain mass conservation. The climbing of the residual currents along the sea bottom slope also contributes to the upwelling. On the other hand, tidal mixing plays a very important role in inducing the upwelling in the baroclinic sea circumstances. Strong tidal mixing leads to conspicuous front in the coastal waters. The considerable horizontal density gradient across the front elicits a secondary circulation clinging to the tidal front, and the upwelling branch appears near the frontal zone. Numerical experiments are de-signed to determine the importance of tide in inducing the upwelling. The results indicate that tide is a key and dominant inducement of the upwelling. 9福岛核事故泄漏进入海洋的137Cs对中国近海影响的模拟与预测显示文摘2011年3月日本福岛第一核电站遭受海啸侵袭,引起大量放射性物质泄漏进入海洋和大气,进入大气通道的放射性物质大部分沉降于海洋上,其中进入大气中的137Cs(总量约13 PBq)有38.5%沉降于日本东部海域,对海洋造成二次污染.本文在POM环流模式中引入放射性物质在海洋中的输运、沉降和衰变的控制方程,建立了一个准全球放射性物质数值模式,模拟并预测了福岛核事故泄漏的放射性物质137Cs的长期输运情况,分析了该泄漏物质通过海洋途径进入中国近海的过程.结果表明:福岛核事故泄漏的137Cs于2013年开始对中国近海海域造成影响,其浓度和影响范围在未来5~6年将逐渐增加,2018年前后黄东海和南海北部的137Cs浓度达到最高值.南海中南部浓度小于黄东海和南海北部,且最大浓度出现时间滞后于其他海域,所有中国近海海区137Cs浓度达到最大值后在自身衰减的作用下逐渐降低;137Cs在中国近海的浓度小于外海,在黑潮外部海域由于黑潮的强流屏障作用会形成一个137Cs浓度高值区;137Cs在中国近海浅水海域上下混合均匀,在深水区上层水体的137Cs(上400 m)浓度要明显大于下层,在南海200~400 m层水体形成一个高值区.赵昌 乔方利 王关锁 夏长水 JUNG Kyung Tae 2014科学通报2014,59,34:7
10山东半岛东部海域悬浮体分布季节变化及其冬季输送通量研究显示文摘山东半岛东部近岸海域流系和水团要素季节变化显著,沉积动力环境特殊,发育有剖面形状独特的泥质沉积体。基于两个年度的夏、冬季山东半岛东部近岸海域水体温度、浊度、悬浮体浓度和海流等调查资料,分析了水团要素分布季节变化特征,并结合研究区域冬季海流和余流分布特征,计算了冬季经山东半岛东部近岸海域向南输送的悬浮体净通量。结果表明:山东半岛东部近岸海域悬浮体分布受沿岸流、黄海冷水团和黄海暖流等流系季节变化的影响存在显著季节变化。夏季,水体垂向层结和黄海冷水团均可抑制悬浮体垂向和东西向扩散。与以往的研究有所不同的是,冬季大量悬浮体可穿越沿岸流与黄海暖流形成的海流切变锋面,进入黄海暖流向北输送,海流切变锋的屏障作用会随着黄海暖流的减弱或东移而削弱。每年冬季经山东半岛东部近岸海域输送的悬浮体占渤海海峡向外海输送的悬浮体年净通量的3.22%~9.10%,冬季的悬浮体输送量较大,占冬季渤海海峡向外海输送的悬浮体年净通量的6.84%~19.38%。王勇智 张永强 孙惠凤 2019沉积学报2019,37,3:6
11日本福岛放射性污染物在北太平洋海水中的输运模拟与预测显示文摘针对2011年3月11日地震和海啸引发的日本福岛核电站放射性污染物泄漏事件,利用ROMS海洋模式对北太平洋海洋环流进行了模拟,并在该海洋环流数值模拟结果基础上,对核泄漏物质在海洋中的输运过程进行了10年的中长期模拟和预测.模拟结果显示:放射性污染物通过北太平洋低位涡水的输运通道到达我国近海的时间约为12年;表层放射性污染物随着海流最远输运到140°W后便分为南北两支,南支随着赤道流系向西输运,可以影响到菲律宾以东洋面,北支到达北美西海岸后随沿岸流向南北输运,北向输运可以影响到白令海峡;200m层的放射性污染物进入海洋后的输运分为3个部分:一部分沿深层海水流动向西南输运;一部分随低位涡水团输运影响台湾以东海区;还有一部分随黑潮延伸体向东输运,并分为两支,其中一支会输运到北美西海岸,另外一支向南影响到夏威夷岛周围海域.最后,结合污染物漂移扩散模型估算了放射性污染物在海洋中的浓度扩散趋势:放射性同位素137Cs的浓度高值区逐渐向东移动,2年后可达太平洋海盆中部,8年后可达北美西海岸,虽然影响范围不断扩大,但其极值浓度在不断降低.王辉 王兆毅 朱学明 王大奎 刘桂梅 2012科学通报2012,57,22:6
12Numerical study and prediction of nuclear contaminant transport from Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant in the North Pacific Ocean显示文摘On March 11,2011,a large earthquake and subsequent tsunami near the east coast of Japan destroyed the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant(FD-NPP),causing a massive release of nuclear contaminants.In this paper,a Pacific basin-wide physical dispersion model is developed and used to investigate the transport of nuclear contaminants.The Pacific circulation model,based on the Regional Ocean Modeling System(ROMS),is forced with air-sea flux climatology derived from COADS(the Comprehensive Ocean-Atmosphere Data Set).It is shown that ocean current dominates nuclear contaminant transport.Following the Kuroshio Extension and North Pacific Current,nuclear contaminants at the surface will move eastward in the Pacific as far as 140°W,thereafter dividing into two branches.For the south branch,nuclear contaminants will be transported westward by the equatorial current,and can reach the Philippines after 10 years' time.In contrast,the north branch will arrive at the American west coast and then migrate to the Bering Sea.At 200 m water depth,part of the nuclear materials will move southwestward along with deep ocean circulation,which could potentially reach the east coast of Taiwan.The other part will move to the west coast of America and separate into two branches.One will move northward along the west coast of Alaska,while the other will travel southward to the Hawaiian Islands.The transport of radiation contaminants below 500 m is slow,and will primarily remain in the central Pacific.The physical dispersion model results show that high concentrations of the radioactive isotope cesium-137(137 Cs) will move eastward and reach the central Pacific and west coast of North America in two and eight years,respectively.The sea areas influenced by the nuclear contaminants continue to expand,while peak concentrations decrease in the North Pacific.WANG Hui WANG ZhaoYi ZHU XueMing WANG DaKui LIU GuiMei 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,26:6

14The numerical investigation of seasonal variation of the cold water mass in the Beibu Gulf and its mechanisms显示文摘A wave-tide-circulation coupled model based on the Princeton Ocean Model is established to explore the seasonal variation of the cold water mass in the Beibu Gulf and its mechanisms. The results show that the cold water mass starts forming in March, reaches the maximum strength during June and July, and fades away since October. Strong mixing in winter transports the cold water from sea surface to bottom. The cold water mass remains in the bottom layer as the thermocline strengthens during spring, except for the shallow water where the themocline is broken by strong tidal mixing, which gradually separate the cold water mass from its surrounding warm water. Further analysis on the ocean current and stream function confirms that the cold water mass in the Beibu Gulf is locally developed, with an anticlockwise circulation caused by a strong temperature gradient. 152008—2010年青岛近海浒苔暴发气象条件及其漂移特征显示文摘基于2008—2010年青岛近海浒苔观测资料,分析青岛近海海域浒苔暴发期间的大气环流、气象要素和水文要素特征,阐述影响青岛浒苔运动的气象动力学机制。结果表明:6月海上高压取代大陆高压控制黄海海域是浒苔北移的关键;连续的雨雾天气过后,日照剧增,有利于浒苔大面积繁殖。夏季青岛近海海洋表层环流主要受海面风的支配,当浒苔到达青岛南部海域后,青岛近海的风是决定浒苔是否向青岛沿岸漂移堆积的关键因素,风场的差异可以导致浒苔不同漂移的路径。2008年和2010年青岛近海持续的东南风配合东南—西北向表层流场,使浒苔向西北方向漂移到达青岛近海,其后在偏南风的主导下向青岛海岸涌进,造成浒苔在青岛海岸大面积聚集;2009年青岛近海明显的西南风及与岸线平行的西南—东北向表层流场使青岛南部海域的浒苔向东北方向漂移,青岛海岸受浒苔影响较小。马艳 郭丽娜 黄容 耿敏 刘学忠 冉建新 2015气象与环境学报2015,31,4:5
16Verification of an operational ocean circulation-surface wave coupled forecasting system for the China's seas显示文摘An operational ocean circulation-surface wave coupled forecasting system for the seas off China and adjacent areas(OCFS-C) is developed based on parallelized circulation and wave models. It has been in operation since November 1, 2007. In this paper we comprehensively present the simulation and verification of the system, whose distinguishing feature is that the wave-induced mixing is coupled in the circulation model. In particular, with nested technique the resolution in the China's seas has been updated to(1/24)° from the global model with(1/2)°resolution. Besides, daily remote sensing sea surface temperature(SST) data have been assimilated into the model to generate a hot restart field for OCFS-C. Moreover, inter-comparisons between forecasting and independent observational data are performed to evaluate the effectiveness of OCFS-C in upper-ocean quantities predictions, including SST, mixed layer depth(MLD) and subsurface temperature. Except in conventional statistical metrics, non-dimensional skill scores(SS) is also used to evaluate forecast skill. Observations from buoys and Argo profiles are used for lead time and real time validations, which give a large SS value(more than 0.90). Besides, prediction skill for the seasonal variation of SST is confirmed. Comparisons of subsurface temperatures with Argo profiles data indicate that OCFS-C has low skill in predicting subsurface temperatures between 100 m and 150 m. Nevertheless, inter-comparisons of MLD reveal that the MLD from model is shallower than that from Argo profiles by about 12 m, i.e., OCFS-C is successful and steady in MLD predictions. 17A novel high resolution model without open boundary conditions applied to the China Seas: first investigation on tides显示文摘We developed a Global Ocean Circulation and Tide Model (GOCTM) with coarse grids in the open deep ocean degrading ‘smoothly’ into the highly resolved China Seas (CS) of refined grids to study the tides and circulation there.GOCTM is based on the framework of the Finite Volume approach for better mass conservation through improved transports across the discrete individual control volume.It also takes a full advantage of the geometric flexibility of unstructured mesh using a realistic global topography including the Arctic Ocean.The CS are given a special focus by refining the unstructured grids,but they are embedded into global domain naturally.Furthermore,GOCTM not only successfully avoids the treatment of the open boundaries,but also optimizes the trade-off between computational cost and model accuracy.Meanwhile,GOCTM is driven by the astronomical tide-generating potential and the secondary tide-generating potential directly,together with the wind stress and heat flux.GOCTM succeeds in reproducing the global eight principal tidal harmonic constants.Particularly,the simulated tidal results in the CS are improved compared to some other regional models with the discrepancy of 3.9 cm for M 2 tide.This idea of GOCTM can also be referred for other regional ocean study.YU Huaming CHEN Xueen BAO Xianwen Thomas Pohlmann WU Dexing 2010Acta Oceanologica Sinica2010,29,6:5
18海洋表层温度对台风“蔷薇”路径和强度预测精度的影响显示文摘基于中尺度大气模式WRF(Weather Research and Forecasting Model),首先对2007年3次船舶辐射通量观测进行模拟,以检验WRF对长波和短波辐射通量的模拟能力,结果表明使用中国近海海洋环境数值预报系统环流模式POM(Princeton Ocean Model)模拟的高时空分辨率的海洋表层温度能够显著改进短波辐射通量的模拟,而对长波辐射通量模拟的改进不明显。然后,将业务化运行的中国近海海洋环境数值预报系统后报的逐时海洋表面温度(SST)作为WRF底边界条件,对2008年15号强台风'蔷薇'(Jangmi)过程进行了数值后报试验。结果表明,与使用NCEP/NCAR的SST试验后报的台风中心位置偏差相比,使用高时空分辨率的SST能够较为显著地改善'蔷薇'的路径模拟,台风中心位置模拟偏差减少11%,尤其在台风减弱阶段,台风中心位置模拟偏差减少37%。台风强度在台风发展的不同阶段对下垫面SST的变化敏感性不同。台风路径附近的海表面温度下降会导致海洋向大气输送的热量减少从而减弱台风强度。赵彪 乔方利 王关锁 2012海洋学报2012,34,4:5
19Ocean temperature responses to Typhoon Mstsa in the East China Sea显示文摘The MASNUM wave-tide-circulation coupled model,with 21 layers in the vertical and(1/8)°horizontal resolution,was employed to investigate the oceanic responses to Typhoon Mstsa which traversed the East China Sea(ECS)during the period of 4~6 August,2005.Numerical experiment results are analyzed and compared with observation.The responses of the sea surface temperature(SST),in a focused area of(27°~29°N,121°~124°E),include heating and cooling stages.The heating is mainly due to warm Kuroshio water transportation and downwelling due to the water accumulation.In the cooling stage,the amplitude of the simulated cold wake(~3℃),located on the right side of this typhoon track,is compared quite well with that of the satellite observed SST data.The wave-induced mixing(Bv)plays a key role for the SST cooling.Bv still plays a leading role,which accounts for 36%,for the ocean temperature drop in the upper ocean of 0~40 m,while the upwelling is responsible for 84% of the cooling for the lower layer of 40~70 m.The mixed layer depth(MLD)increased quickly from 28 to 50 m in the typhoon period.However,the simulated MLD without the wave-induced vertical mixing,evolution from 13 to 32 m,was seriously underestimated.The surface wave is too important to be ignored for the ocean responses to a typhoon.WANG Guansuo QIAO Fangli 2008Acta Oceanologica Sinica2008,27,4:3
20Influence of the Indonesian Throughflow on the upwelling off the east coast of South Java显示文摘A wave–tide–circulation coupled model is used to simulate upwelling off the south coast of Java, Indonesia. The results show that the vertical velocity off East Java is stronger than other parts in this area. The strongest vertical velocity is located approximately at 80 m depth.The annual averaged values of upwelling are 2.3 9 10-6and 1.06 9 10-5m/s for south of West Java and south of East Java, respectively. The vertical velocity from the model shows that upwelling off West Java has seasonal variability, while it is quite steady and strong off East Java.Additional numerical experiments show that the wind is not the dominant factor for the steady upwelling off the southern part of East Java. It is then hypothesized that the Indonesian Throughflow(ITF) may be responsible for the upwelling. To test this hypothesis, two scenarios are implemented, both of which block the outflow of the ITF.Sensitive study shows that the ITF plays a key role in the formation of East Java upwelling.
