1Performance measurement of sericin-coated silks during aging显示文摘Silks are among the most precious ancient and historic artefacts worldwide. While washing removes the natural gum from the fibres during the fabrication of most silk textiles, for a small proportion of historic silks some or perhaps all of the sericin still remains. This paper investigated the effect of sericin coating on the aging of silk fibroin by means of ATR and tensile testing. The results show that sericin can provide some extent of protection from light and heat aging. However, in high humidity environments degummed and ungummed silk aged at the same rate because of leaching of sericin. Silk degraded at faster rate and more extensively in a moist environment. ATR could give very useful information about the aging of silk. The ATR-derived crystallinity index is good at tracing the aging factor and extent of silk deterioration. Alanine and tyrosine within fibroin, as estimated by ATR spectroscopy, are very sensitive to light, but not to heat and water. The ATR absorbance intensity ratio Iamide Ⅲ/ Iamide I is very useful for deterioration evaluation of archaeological silk objects. As a high humidity resulted in the leaching of silk, it is suggested for sericin-coated silk in collections, that not only wet cleaning is harmful, but also that storage or display in a high RH environment would be detrimental.ZHANG XiaoMei WYETH Paul 2011Science China Chemistry2011,54,6:4
2A Novel Method for the Quantitative Detection of Sericin Content in Silk Fiber Based on the Ratio of Aspartate to Alanine显示文摘The development of a method for the quantitative determination of the sericin content ratio(SCR)is urgently needed for silk refining and the purification of silk fibroin for biomedical applications.In this work,a series of sericin/fibroin mixed samples with known SCRs were prepared by mixing initial samples of extracted sericin and fibroin from Bombyx mori silk.Significant differences were found in the contents of characteristic hydrophilic amino acids abundant in sericin and hydrophobic amino acids abundant in fibroin,and several linear relation-ships of SCR associated with the content ratios of Ser/Ala,Asp/Ala,Lys/Ala,Asp/Gly and Ser/Gly were estab-lished by amino acid analysis.Subsequently,the linear equation expressing SCR(%)as a function of the Asp to Ala content ratio X(%)was established as SCR=2.5634X−12.5587(R 2=0.9972).The results indicated that the SCR of degummed silks calculated by the equation is more objective and effective than the results obtained by the traditional weight loss method.Our study provides a novel approach for the sensitive and quantitative detection of the sericin content within the detection limit in unknown silks,which can contribute to quality control in the silk production process.Yanfei Feng Jiaming Lin Longxing Niu Peng Pan Xueping Liu Linling Huang Ying Guo Mingzhong Li 2023Journal of Renewable Materials2023,11,1:0

4脱胶对蚕丝纤维及再生蚕丝蛋白材料性能的影响显示文摘脱胶对蚕丝蛋白结构和性能的影响直接关系到再生蚕丝蛋白材料的细胞相容性。本文分别采用碳酸钠、苹果酸及木瓜蛋白酶对家蚕生丝脱胶,分析脱胶程度及脱胶工艺对蚕丝蛋白结构和性能的影响规律,探索不同脱胶工艺获得的再生丝素膜的细胞相容性。结果表明:木瓜蛋白酶对生丝的脱胶率明显高于碳酸钠和苹果酸,脱胶后的蚕丝蛋白结构更加规整,结晶度和热稳定性提高;并且,经木瓜蛋白酶脱胶后制备的再生丝素膜能支持L929细胞的黏附和增殖,细胞存活率显著高于经碳酸钠和苹果酸脱胶后的再生丝素膜,细胞相容性更好。夏震然 李万鑫 卢神州 瞿静 2022丝绸2022,59,11:0
