| 1 | Therapeutic effect of oridonin on mice with prostate cancer显示文摘Objective: To investigate the therapeutic effect and the related mechanism of oridonin on mice with prostate cancer. Methods: Sixty BALB/C male nude mice were selected. A model of RM-1 cell transplantation tumor of prostate cancer was built by the subcutaneous inoculation of RM-1 cells. After that, those 60 experimental mice were randomly divided into groups A, B and C. Each group had 20 mice. Mice in group A were treated with 0.2 m L of normal saline(0.9%) by intraperitoneal injection once a day; mice in group B received intraperitoneal injection of 1.875 mg/m L of oridonin once a day; and mice in group C received intraperitoneal injection of 7.5 mg/m L of oridonin once a day. Mice in the three groups were treated uninterruptedly for 5 weeks and were all killed. Then, tumors were excised and weighed to calculate their growth inhibitory rate, volume increment and anti-tumor rate. Thymus and spleen of mice in the three groups were collected to calculate the thymus and spleen index. Immunohistochemical staining was applied to observe the expression of caspase-3 in prostate cancer tissue of mice of the three groups. Results: The qualities and volume increment of tumors in groups B and C were significantly lower than those of group A(P < 0.05); the qualities and volume increment of tumors in groups C were evidently lower than those of group B(P < 0.05); the tumor volume increment and anti-tumor rate in group C were obviously higher than those of group B(P < 0.05); the thymus and spleen indexes of groups B and C were distinctly higher than those of group A(P < 0.05); comparison of the thymus and spleen indexes between group B and group C showed no statistical differences(P > 0.05). Immumohistochemical staining revealed that the caspase-3 protein in prostate cancer tissue of mice of group A expressed negatively with colourless or light-colored karyon; while the caspase-3 protein in prostate cancer tissue of mice of group B expressed positively with dark-colored karyon, centralized distribution and granular sensation; and the caspase-3 in prostate cancer tissue of mice of group C showed strong positive expression with big and darker colored karyon and dense distribution. | 2 | Cytotoxicity of the rhizome of medicinal plants显示文摘Objective:To investigate the cytotoxicity of the crude ethanol extract of the rhizome of Zingiber zerumbel(Z.zerumbet)(L)Smith,and Curcuma zedoaria(C.zedoaria)Rosc,against Artemia salina Leach.Methods:Fresh rhizomes of Z.zerumbet(L)Smith,and C.zedoaria Rose,were extracted separately in cold with ethanol(2.5 L)and after concentration a brownish syrupy suspension of ethanol extracts of Z.zerumbel(L)Smith,and C.zedoaria Rose,was obtained.The cytotoxic effect of the crude ethanol extracts of both plants was determined by brine shrimp lethality bioassay.Results:Crude ethanol extracts of the rhizome of Z.zerumbel(L)Smith,showed the highest cytotoxicity(LC_(50)was 1.24μg/mL)against brine shrimp nauplii as compared with C.zedoaria Rose.(LC_(50)was 33.593μg/mL)after 24 h of exposure.Conclusions:It can be concluded that the rhizome of Z.zerumbet(|L)Smith,and C.zedoaria Rose,can be used as a source of cytotoxic agent. | Shakhawoat Hossain Golam Kader Farjana Nikkon Tanzima Yeasmin | 2012 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2012，2，2： | 1 |
| 3 | 生姜醇提取物抑制人前列腺癌PC-3细胞增殖的体外研究显示文摘目的观察生姜醇提取物(extract of zingiber ethanol,EZE)对人前列腺癌PC-3细胞体外增殖的影响,并探讨其可能的调控机制。方法运用MTT法检测不同浓度EZE对PC-3细胞体外增殖的影响;Westernblot检测不同浓度EZE作用于PC-3细胞一定时间后其P53、Bcl-2蛋白的表达情况。结果 MTT法结果提示,随着EZE浓度的增加与作用时间的延长,PC-3细胞DE增殖抑制率均增加,与对照组比较均有显著差异(P<0.05);Western-blot结果显示EZE作用PC-3细胞后可上调P53、下调Bcl-2蛋白的表达,并呈一定的量效关系。结论 EZE能够抑制PC-3细胞体外增殖,其机制可能与其上调P53、下调Bcl-2蛋白的表达有关。 | 蒋茂林 王毅 曹正国 张朝胜 黎建欣 肖恒军 彭潋 蒋鸿涛 | 2015 | 肿瘤药学2015，5，4： | 1 |
| 4 | Bioassay of Eucalyptus extracts for anticancer activity against Ehrlich ascites carcinoma(eac) cells in Swiss albino mice显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the antineoplastic activity of Eucalyptus extract(EUE) against Ehrlich ascites carcinoma(EAC)in Swiss albino mice.Methods:Preliminary examination of four plant extracts(namely Eucalyptus,Costus,Azadirachla.Feroniai has been done by observing the reduction ability of number of EAC cells in previously inoculated Swiss alliino mice.Among them as EuE showed maximum capability,the whole study has been conducted with EuE only. Important parameters viz.enhancement of life span,reduction of average tumor weight etc.have been studied.In addition the effects of EuE on hematological parameters in both normal and EAC inoculated mice have been measured.Effect of EuE on normal peritoneal cells has also been studied.Results:EuE reduced tumor burden remarkably.It reduced the tumor growth rate and enhanced the life span of EAC bearing mice noticeably.It reversed back the hematological parameters towards normal,reduced the Irasplanlability of EAC cells and enhanced the immunomodulatory effects in mice.The host toxic effect of EuE in mice is minimum and mostly reversible with time.All such data have been compared with those obtained by running parallel experiments with bleomycin at dose 0.3 mg/kg(i.p.).Conclusions:The Eucalyptus extract may be considered as a potent anticancer agent for advanced researches. | Farhadul Islam Hasina Khatun Soby Ghosh MM Ali JA Khanam | 2012 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2012，2，5： | 1 |
