1Map and analysis of microsatellites in the genome of Populus: The first sequenced perennial plant显示文摘Environmental Sciences Division, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, TN, USA We mapped and analyzed the microsatellites throughout 284295605 base pairs of the unambiguously assembled sequence scaffolds along 19 chromosomes of the haploid poplar genome. Totally, we found 150985 SSRs with repeat unit lengths between 2 and 5 bp. The established microsatellite physical map demonstrated tr at SSRs were distributed relatively evenly across the genome of Populus. On average, These SSRs occurred every 1883 bp within the poplar genome and the SSR densities in intergenic regions, introns, exons and UTRs were 85.4%, 10.7%, 2.7% and 1.2%, respectively. We took di-, tri-, tetra-and pentamers as the four classes of repeat units and found that the density of each class of SSRs decreased with the repeat unit lengths except for the tetranucleotide repeats. It was noteworthy that the length diversification of microsatellite sequences was negatively correlated with their repeat unit length and the SSRs with shorter repeat units gained repeats faster than the SSRs with longer repeat units. We also found that the GC content of poplar sequence significantly correlated with densities of SSRs with uneven repeat unit lengths (tri-and penta-), but had no significant correlation with densities of SSRs with even repeat unit lengths (di-and tetra-). 2Stochastic structural model of rock and soil aggregates by continuum-based discrete element method显示文摘This paper first presents a stochastic structural model to describe the random geometrical features of rock and soil aggregates. The stochastic structural model uses mixture ratio, rock size and rock shape to construct the microstructures of aggregates, and introduces two types of structural elements (block element and jointed element) and three types of material elements (rock element, soil element, and weaker jointed element) for this microstructure. Then, continuum-based discrete element method is used to study the deformation and failure mechanism of rock and soil aggregate through a series of loading tests. It is found that the stress-strain curve of rock and soil aggregates is nonlinear, and the failure is usually initialized from weaker jointed elements. Finally, some factors such as mixture ratio, rock size and rock shape are studied in detail. The numerical results are in good agreement with in situ test. 3Medaka fish stem cells and their applications显示文摘Stem cells are present in developing embryos and adult tissues of multicellular organisms. Owing to their unique features, stem cells provide excellent opportunities for experimental analyses of basic developmental processes such as pluripotency control and cell fate decision and for regenerative medicine by stem cell-based therapy. Stem cell cultures have been best studied in 3 vertebrate organisms. These are the mouse, human and a small laboratory fish called medaka. Specifically, medaka has given rise to the first embryonic stem (ES) cells besides the mouse, the first adult testis-derived male stem cells spermatogonia capable of test-tube sperm production, and most recently, even haploid ES cells capable of producing Holly, a semi-cloned fertile female medaka from a mosaic oocyte created by microinjecting a haploid ES cell nucleus directly into a normal oocyte. 4A THIRD-ORDER BOUSSINESQ MODEL APPLIED TO NONLINEAR EVOLUTION OF SHALLOW-WATER WAVES显示文摘The conventional Boussinesq model is extended to the third order in dispersion and nonlinearity. The new equations are shown to possess better linear dispersion characteristics. For the evolution of periodic waves over a constant depth, the computed wave envelops are spatially aperiodic and skew. The model is then applied to the study of wave focusing by a topographical lens and the results are compared with Whalin′s (1971) experimental data as well as some previous results from the conventional Boussinesq model. 5Formation, Structure and Properties of Bulk Metallic Glasses显示文摘Bulk metallic glasses with up to 72 mm critical section thickness have been obtained by conventional casting techniques and the properties of these materials, particularly the mechanical and magnetic properties have been studied. These materials have been demonstrated to have novel properties which are fundamentally different from their crystalline counterparts. The recent status of research and development in formation, structure and properties of bulk metallic glasses is reviewed. The techniques to produce such bulk glasses are summarized and the glass forming ability and the critical cooling rate of these materials are discussed. Further consideration of the development and application of this new class of materiaIs will be proposed.Y. 6全科医生工作困难和压力应对能力及复原力:一项定性研究显示文摘背景'新自由主义'工作策略、工作环境艰苦、英国医疗服务体系(NHS)重组及工作量的增加,造成全科医生职业倦怠及数量短缺,诸如此类的报道越来越多。目的本文旨在探讨全科医生工作上的困难和压力以及其应对策略,尤其是最近NHS要求改变工作环境给全科医生造成的影响。设计与场所本研究为定性研究。研究数据来自两个讨论组的访谈及7个'一对一'电话访谈资料。方法采用方便抽样方法选择研究对象。对研究对象进行半结构化讨论组访谈及'一对一'电话访谈,调查当前英国全科医生的执业情况。对访谈数据进行主题分析。结果共22例全科医生参与研究,其中15例参与讨论组讨论,7例参与电话采访。受访者谈到全科医生正承受着前所未有的强大压力,这种压力与工作环境有关,因为工作环境使得其觉得应该做个'好'医生。许多研究报道了全职全科医生压力太大:工作压力引起情绪改变,导致睡眠不良,焦虑增加,与亲人之间关系紧张。有些人尝试通过减少工作量来改善这种状况。工作环境的变化使得全科医生几乎没有时间采取措施来提高复原力以做到工作与生活之间平衡良好以及更好地与同事相处。尽管有些全科医生能更有效地应对压力,但是其也承认,自己已经尽了最大努力来应对工作压力。结论 NHS诸多因素造成了全科医生在感情生活及工作压力上的明显改变。为促进全科医生提供有效的医疗服务,其复原力的构建应不仅局限于改善全科医生个人情况,还应包括系统地解决其工作上的困难与压力。CHESHIRE A RIDGE D HUGHES J 本刊编辑部 2017中国全科医学2017,20,21:3

10Experimental and discrete element numerical analysis of side slope instability induced by fissure water underlying impervious bed显示文摘When the sliding mass contains impervious bed, rainfall can infiltrate into mountain via crevices and form higher artesian aquifer at impervious bed inferior. This will decrease slip resistance and increase sliding forces of the sliding mass, thus lowering the safety factor, and inducing landslide disasters. In this paper, a landslide experimental apparatus is designed for experimental studies on the mechanism of this type of landslides. Meanwhile, the non-dimensional parameters in the model experiment are taken into account using dimensional analysis. The experimental results show that (1) the ratio of the cleft water pressure to the overlying pressure is a crucial parameter affecting the stability of the slope; (2) when the shut-in pressure reaches 80% of the normal component of the pressure on the slip surface made up of rock and soil, landslide will occur; (3) the whole slope will start to slide when the shut-in pressure is equal to the normal component of the pressure formed by the overlying rock and soil on the upper 30% area. In this article, a discrete element method simulation is used to investigate the influence of cleft water pressure and shearing strength on the landslide stability. It can be concluded that the critical value of Ccr, ?cr, which determines the slide mass stability, increases with the increase of the water pressure; if the water pressure reaches a high level, the stability of the slide mass depends mainly on C, while the influence of ? becomes smaller than C.LIU Bingshan1, LI Shihai1, ZHANG Lei1,2 & WANG Jianguo31.
