1北京大气重污染过程PM_(10)中水溶性盐的研究显示文摘利用大气颗粒物快速捕集及化学成分在线分析系统,观测了2004年秋季北京出现的一次长时间严重污染天气过程中PM10的水溶性无机盐浓度的变化.结果表明,PM10中总水溶性无机盐浓度在这次重污染过程中升高了4.7倍.硝酸盐、硫酸盐、铵盐的浓度分别升高7.9,4.1,5.4倍,这3种无机盐的日变化在污染期和非污染期有明显差异.污染期SO2、NOx向SO42-、NO3-转化率明显高于非污染期.张凯 王跃思 温天雪 胡波 刘广仁 Meslmani Yousef 2006中国环境科学2006,26,4:27
2Chylous ascites secondary to hyperlipidemic pancreatitis with normal serum amylase and lipase显示文摘A 54-year old man with a family history of hyperlipidemia was admitted with a 12 h history of severe generalized abdominal pain associated with nausea, vomiting and abdominal distension. Examination of the abdomen revealed tenderness in the periumblical area with shifting dullness. Serum pancreatic amylase was 29 IU/L and lipase 44 IU/L, triglyceride 36.28 mmol/L. Ultrasound showed ascites. CT of the abdomen with contrast showed inflammatory changes surrounding the pancreas consistent with acute pancreatitis. Ultrasound (US) guided abdomen paracentesis yielded a milky fluid with high triglyceride content consistent with chylous ascites. The patient was kept fasting and intravenous fluid hydration was provided. Meperidine was administered for pain relief. On the following days the patient’s condition improved and he was gradually restarted on a low-fat diet, and fat lowering agent (gemfibrozil) was begun, 600 mg twice a day. On d 14, abdomen US was repeated and showed fluid free peritoneal cavity. The patient was discharged after 18 d of hospitalization with 600 mg gemfibrozil twice a day. At the time of discharge, the fasting triglyceride was 4.2 mmol/L. 3Observer-based Adaptive Fuzzy Control for a Class of Nonlinear Time-delay Systems显示文摘An observer-based adaptive fuzzy control is presented for a class of nonlinear systems with unknown time delays. The state observer is first designed, and then the controller is designed via the adaptive fuzzy control method based on the observed states. Both the designed observer and controller are independent of time delays. Using an appropriate Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, the uncertainty of the unknown time delay is compensated, and then the fuzzy logic system in Mamdani type is utilized to approximate the unknown nonlinear functions. Based on the Lyapunov stability theory, the constructed observer-based controller and the closed-loop system are proved to be asymptotically stable. The designed control law is independent of the time delays and has a simple form with only one adaptive parameter vector, which is to be updated on-line. 5Review on application of nanoparticles for EOR purposes: A critical review of the opportunities and challenges显示文摘Nanoparticles have already gained attentions for their countless potential applications in enhanced oil recovery.Nano-sized particles would help to recover trapped oil by several mechanisms including interfacial tension reduction, impulsive emulsion formation and wettability alteration of porous media. The presence of dispersed nanoparticles in injected fluids would enhance the recovery process through their movement towards oil–water interface. This would cause the interfacial tension to be reduced. In this research, the effects of different types of nanoparticles and different nanoparticle concentrations on EOR processes were investigated. Different flooding experiments were investigated to reveal enhancing oil recovery mechanisms. The results showed that nanoparticles have the ability to reduce the IFT as well as contact angle, making the solid surface to more water wet. As nanoparticle concentration increases more trapped oil was produced mainly due to wettability alteration to water wet and IFT reduction. However, pore blockage was also observed due to adsorption of nanoparticles, a phenomenon which caused the injection pressure to increase. Nonetheless, such higher injection pressure could displace some trapped oil in the small pore channels out of the model. 6Updates in advanced diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging techniques in the evaluation of prostate cancer显示文摘Diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging(DWMRI) is considered part of the standard imaging protocol for the evaluation of patients with prostate cancer.It has been proven valuable as a functional tool for qualitative and quantitative analysis of prostate cancer beyond anatomical MRI sequences such as T2-weighted imaging. This review discusses ongoing controversies in DW-MRI acquisition, including the optimal number of b-values to be used for prostate DWI, and summarizes the current literature on the use of advanced DWMRI techniques. These include intravoxel incoherent motion imaging, which better accounts for the nonmono-exponential behavior of the apparent diffusion coefficient as a function of b-value and the influence of perfusion at low b-values. Another technique is diffusion kurtosis imaging(DKI). Metrics from DKI reflect excess kurtosis of tissues, representing its deviation from Gaussian diffusion behavior. 7Oxide Inclusions at Different Steps of Steel Production显示文摘The formation of oxide inclusions in one of the carbon steel productions of Mobarakeh Steel Complex of Isfahan has been evaluated. Several samples from different steps of steel production were taken, from arc furnace, ladle furnace, tundish, and continuous casting mold. Moreover, samples of slab and hot rolling products were prepared. The samples were investigated by optical and scanning electron microscopes equipped with the EDS system. According to the results, the number, composition, and kind of inclusions were directly influenced by the production variables. It was found that when the amount of dissolved oxygen was high (say more than 0.002 5%), the dissolved aluminum was able to reduce silicon oxide and react with the dissolved oxygen simultaneously, whilst, the dissolved aluminum could reduce the magnesium oxide only when the oxygen content was below 0.000 5%. Based on this research, a mechanism for forming the complex inclusions was suggested. 8Fatty liver without a large“belly”:Magnified review of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease in non-obese patients显示文摘Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD) is well described as a common cause of chronic liver disease, mostly in the obese population. It refers to a spectrum of chronic liver disease that starts with simple steatosis than progresses to nonalcoholic steatohepatitis and cirrhosis in patients without significant alcohol consumption. NAFLD in the non-obese population has been increasingly reported and studied recently. The pathogenesis of nonobese NAFLD is poorly understood and is related to genetic predisposition, most notably patatin-like phospholipase domain-containing 33 G allele polymorphism that leads to intrahepatic triglyceride accumulation and insulin resistance. Nonobese NAFLD is associated with components of metabolic syndrome and, especially, visceral obesity which seems to be an important etiological factor in this group. Dietary factors and, specifically, a high fructose diet seem to play a role. Cardiovascular events remain the main cause of mortality and morbidity in NAFLD, including in the nonobese population. 9A new approach for visual identification of orange varieties using neural networks and metaheuristic algorithms显示文摘Accurate classification of fruit varieties in processing factories and during post-harvesting applications is a challenge that has been widely studied.This paper presents a novel approach to automatic fruit identification applied to three common varieties of oranges(Citrus sinensis L.),namely Bam,Payvandi and Thomson.A total of 300 color images were used for the experiments,100 samples for each orange variety,which are publicly available.After segmentation,263 parameters,including texture,color and shape features,were extracted from each sample using image processing.Among them,the 6 most effective features were automatically selected by using a hybrid approach consisting of an artificial neural network and particle swarm optimization algorithm(ANN-PSO).Then,three different classifiers were applied and compared:hybrid artificial neural network–artificial bee colony(ANN-ABC);hybrid artificial neural network–harmony search(ANN-HS);and k-nearest neighbors(kNN).The experimental results show that the hybrid approaches outperform the results of kNN.The average correct classification rate of ANN-HS was 94.28%,while ANN-ABS achieved 96.70%accuracy with the available data,contrasting with the 70.9%baseline accuracy of kNN.Thus,this new proposed methodology provides a fast and accurate way to classify multiple fruits varieties,which can be easily implemented in processing factories.The main contribution of this work is that the method can be directly adapted to other use cases,since the selection of the optimal features and the configuration of the neural network are performed automatically using metaheuristic algorithms.Sajad Sabzi Yousef Abbaspour-Gilandeh Ginés García-Mateos 2018Information Processing in Agriculture2018,5,1:8

11Dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging of prostate cancer: A review of current methods and applications显示文摘In many areas of oncology, dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging(DCE-MRI) has proven to be a clinically useful, non-invasive functional imaging technique to quantify tumor vasculature and tumor perfusion characteristics. Tumor angiogenesis is an essential process for tumor growth, proliferation, and metastasis. Malignant lesions demonstrate rapid extravasation of contrast from the intravascular space to the capillary bed due to leaky capillaries associated with tumor neovascularity. DCE-MRI has the potential to provide information regarding blood flow, areas of hypoperfusion, and variations in endothelial permeability and microvessel density to aid treatment selection, enable frequent monitoring during treatment and assess response to targeted therapy following treatment. This review will discuss the current status of DCE-MRI in cancer imaging, with a focus on its use in imaging prostate malignancies as well as weaknesses that limit its widespread clinical use. 12Effects of cinnamon on perineal pain and healing of episiotomy: a randomized placebo-controlled trial显示文摘BACKGROUND: Analgesic and wound-healing effects of cinnamon, a widely used spice, have been shown in laboratory rats. However, we found no human studies in this area.OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to assess the effect of cinnamon on perineal pain and healing of episiotomy incision.DESIGN, SETTING, PARTICIPANTS AND INTERVENTIONS: In this double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial, 144 postpartum women were allocated into two groups, using stratifi ed block randomization, 1 h after completion of episiotomy repair. They received cinnamon or placebo ointment, 2 mL every 12 h for 10 d.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Perineal pain and wound healing were assessed using visual analogue scale(0-10) and Redness, Edema, Ecchymosis, Discharge, Approximation scale(0-15), respectively. General linear model was used to compare the groups on the outcomes adjusted for baseline values and stratifi ed factors.RESULTS: Follow-up rate was 100% up to the 8 h time point in both groups, and 86%(62 of 72) in the cinnamon group and 85%(61 of 72) in the placebo group at day 10-11 after delivery. Pain score in the cinnamon group was signifi cantly lower than that in the placebo group at(4±1) h(adjusted difference:-0.6, 95% confi dence interval:-1.0 to-0.2) and(8±1) h(-0.9,-1.4 to-0.3) after intervention, and on the 10-11 th day after delivery(-1.4,-2.0 to-0.7). Also the cinnamon group showed signifi cantly more improvement than the control group in healing score at(8±1) h(-0.2,-0.4 to-0.04) and the 10-11 th day after delivery(-1.6,-2.0 to-1.1). 13Texture analysis on parametric maps derived from dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging in head and neck cancer显示文摘AIM: To investigate the merits of texture analysis on parametric maps derived from pharmacokinetic modeling with dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging(DCE-MRI) as imaging biomarkers for the prediction of treatment response in patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma(HNSCC). METHODS: In this retrospective study,19 HNSCC patients underwent pre- and intra-treatment DCEMRI scans at a 1.5T MRI scanner. All patients had chemo-radiation treatment. Pharmacokinetic modeling was performed on the acquired DCE-MRI images,generating maps of volume transfer rate(Ktrans) and volume fraction of the extravascular extracellular space(ve). Image texture analysis was then employed on maps of Ktrans and ve,generating two texture measures: Energy(E) and homogeneity.RESULTS: No significant changes were found for the mean and standard deviation for Ktrans and ve between pre- and intra-treatment(P > 0.09). Texture analysis revealed that the imaging biomarker E of ve was significantly higher in intra-treatment scans,relative to pretreatment scans(P < 0.04). 14Nitrogen Deep Placement Combined with Straw Mulch Cultivation Enhances Physiological Traits,Grain Yield and Nitrogen Use Efficiency in Mechanical Pot-Seedling Transplanting Rice显示文摘To assess the effects of straw return coupled with deep nitrogen(N)fertilization on grain yield and N use efficiency(NUE)in mechanical pot-seedling transplanting(MPST)rice,the seedlings of two rice cultivars,i.e.,Yuxiangyouzhan and Wufengyou 615 transplanted by MPST were applied with N fertilizer at 150 kg/hm2 and straw return at 6 t/hm2 in early seasons of 2019 and 2020.The experiment comprised of following treatments:CK(no fertilizer and no straw return),MDS(deep N fertilization and straw return),MBS(broadcasting fertilizer and straw return),MD(deep N fertilization without straw return),MB(broadcasting fertilizer without straw return).Results depicted that the MDS treatment significantly increased the rice yield by 41.69%-72.22%due to total above-ground biomass,leaf area index and photosynthesis increased by 54.70%-55.80%,38.52%-52.17%and 17.89%-28.40%,respectively,compared to the MB treatment.In addition,the MDS treatment enhanced the total N accumulation by 37.74%-43.69%,N recovery efficiency by 141.45%-164.65%,N agronomic efficiency by 121.76%-134.19%,nitrate reductase by 46.46%-60.86%and glutamine synthetase by 23.56%-31.02%,compared to the MB treatment.The average grain yield and NUE in both years for Yuxiangyouzhan were higher in the MDS treatment than in the MD treatment.Hence,deep N fertilization combined with straw return can be an innovative technique with improved grain yield and NUE in MPST in South China.LI Lin ZHANG Zheng TIAN Hua Umair ASHRAF Yousef Alhaj HAMOUD Al Aasmi ALAA TANG Xiangru DUAN Meiyang WANG Zaiman PAN Shenggang 2022Rice science2022,29,1:5

16Optimization of gas turbines for sustainable turbojet propulsion显示文摘Gas-turbines are widely used to power aero planes because they are light,compact with a high power-to-weight ratio.In the turbo jet engine,the main operating variables are:compressor pressure ratio rp and turbine inlet temperature(TIT).These variables affect the specific thrust and specific fuel consumption(SFC),which represent the main performance parameters.In addition to the analytical work,a computer program of the General Algebraic Modeling System(GAMS)was used for analysis and optimization.The analysis shows that the specific thrust strongly depends on turbine inlet temperature(TIT),where a 10%decrease in TIT results in 6.7%decrease in specific thrust and 6.8%decrease in SFC.Furthermore,the value of optimum pressure ratio rf for maximum specific thrust increases with TIT.A 10%decrease from design TIT results in 11.43%decrease in rf.The value of optimum pressure ratio for the turbojet engine operating at Ma=0.8 and altitude Alt=13000 m,and TIT=1700 K was found to be 14.&2015 National Laboratory for Aeronautics and Astronautics.Production and hosting by Elsevier B.V.Yousef S.H.Najjar Ibrahim A.I.Balawneh 2015Propulsion and Power Research2015,4,2:4
17Process mineralogy as a key factor affecting the flotation kinetics of copper sulfide minerals显示文摘The aim of this study is to apply process mineralogy as a practical tool for further understanding and predicting the flotation kinetics of the copper sulfide minerals. The minerals' composition and association, grain distribution, and liberation within the ore samples were analyzed in the feed, concentrate, and the tailings of the flotation processes with two pulp densities of 25 wt% and 30 wt%. The major copper-bearing minerals identified by microscopic analysis of the concentrate samples included chalcopyrite(56.2 wt%), chalcocite(29.1 wt%),covellite(6.4 wt%), and bornite(4.7 wt%). Pyrite was the main sulfide gangue mineral(3.6 wt%) in the concentrates. A 95% degree of liberation with d_(80) > 80 μm was obtained for chalcopyrite as the main copper mineral in the ore sample. The recovery rate and the grade in the concentrates were enhanced with increasing chalcopyrite particle size. Chalcopyrite particles with a d_(80) of approximately 100 μm were recovered at the early stages of the flotation process. The kinetic studies showed that the kinetic second-order rectangular distribution model perfectly fit the flotation test data. 18Helicobacter pylori may be an initiating factor in newly diagnosed ulcerative colitis patients: A pilot study显示文摘AIM To directly visualize Helicobacter pylori(H. pylori) by the highly sensitive and specific technique of immunohistochemical staining in colonic tissue from patients newly diagnosed with ulcerative colitis(UC).METHODS Colonoscopic biopsies from thirty patients with newly diagnosed UC and thirty controls were stained with Giemsa stain and immunohistochemical stain for detection of H. pylori in the colonic tissue. Results were confirmed by testing H. pylori Ag in the stool then infected patients were randomized to receive either anti H. pylori treatment or placebo.RESULTS Twelve/30(40%) of the UC patients were positive for H. pylori by Giemsa, and 17/30(56.6%) by immunohistochemistry stain. Among the control group 4/30(13.3%) and 6/30(20 %) were positive for H. pylori by Giemsa and immunohistochemistry staining respectively. H. pylori was significantly higher in UC than in controls(P = 0.04 and 0.007). All Giemsa positive patients and controls were positive by immunohistochemical stain. Four cases of the control group positive for H. pylori also showed microscopic features consistent with early UC.CONCLUSION H. pylori can be detected in colonic mucosa of patients with UC and patients with histological superficial ulcerations and mild infiltration consistent with early UC. There seems to be an association between UC and presence of H. pylori in the colonic tissue. 19Digoxin:A systematic review in atrial fibrillation,congestive heart failure and post myocardial infarction显示文摘AIM: To review digoxin use in systolic congestive heart failure, atrial fibrillation, and after myocardial infarction. METHODS: A comprehensive Pub Med search was performed using the key words 'digoxin and congestive heart failure', 'digoxin and atrial fibrillation', 'digoxin, atrial fibrillation and systolic congestive heart failure', and 'digoxin and myocardial infarction'. Only articles written in English were included in this study. We retained studies originating from randomized controlled trials, registries and included at least 500 patients. The studies included patients with atrial fibrillation or heart failure or myocardial infarction and had a significant proportion of patients(at least 5%) on digoxin. A table reviewing the different hazard ratios was developed based on the articles selected. Our primary endpoint was the overall mortality in the patients on digoxin vs those without digoxin, among patients with atrial fibrillation and also among patients with atrial fibrillation and systolic heart failure. We reviewed the most recent international guidelines to discuss current recommendations.RESULTS: A total of 18 studies were found that evaluated digoxin and overall mortality in different clinical settings including systolic congestive heart failure and normal sinus rhythm(n = 5), atrial fibrillation with and without systolic congestive heart failure(n = 9), and myocardial infarction(n = 4). Overall, patients with systolic congestive heart failure with normal sinus rhythm, digoxin appears to have a neutral effect on mortality especially if close digoxin level monitoring is employed. However, most of the observational studies evaluating digoxin use in atrial fibrillation without systolic congestive heart failure showed an increase in overall mortality when taking digoxin. In the studies evaluated in this systematic review, the data among patients with atrial fibrillation and systolic congestive heart failure, as well as post myocardial infarction were more controversial. The extent to which discrepancies among studies are based on statistical methods is currently unclear, as these studies' findings are generated by retrospective analyses that employed different techniques to address confounding. CONCLUSION: Based on the potential risks and benefits, as well as the presence of alternative drugs, there is a limited role for digoxin in the management of patients with normal sinus rhythm and congestive heart failure. Based on the retrospective studies reviewed there is a growing volume of data showing increased mortality in those with only atrial fibrillation. The pro-per role of digoxin is, however, less certain in other subgroups of patients, such as those with both atrial fibrillation and systolic congestive heart failure or after a myocardial infarction. 20Experimental study of hydrogen sulfide hydrate formation: Induction time in the presence and absence of kinetic inhibitor显示文摘In this paper, the effect of adding different concentrations of kinetic inhibitors on the induction time of hydrogen sulfide hydrate formation in a reactor equipped with automatic adjustable temperature controller is studied. A novel method namely 'sudden cooling' is used for performing the relevant measurements, in which the induction time of H2S hydrate in the presence/absence of PVP and L-tyrosine with different concentrations (100, 500, and 1000 ppm) is determined.
