1经口入路腔镜下甲状腺切除手术五例经验显示文摘目的探讨经口入路腔镜下甲状腺切除手术的可行性及其临床应用价值。方法对5例甲状腺疾病患者实施经口人路的腔镜下甲状腺切除术,年龄35—60岁,平均42岁。术前均行B超检查,均为甲状腺单发肿块,肿块直径2~3.4cm,平均2.5cm。结果5例手术均获成功,无中转开放手术者,手术时间120~210min,平均170min,术中出血量15~60ml,术后均不放引流,患者恢复良好,无手术并发症。结论经口入路腔镜治疗甲状腺疾病是安全、有效的。傅锦波 陈清贵 罗晔哲 李良辉 魏黎煜 洪晓泉 卢毅卓 Thomas Wilhelm 吴国洋 2012中华普通外科杂志2012,27,4:53

3华北平原不同粮作模式下作物水分利用显示文摘利用田间定位试验的研究方法,对在华北地区通过种植模式调整实现农业节水的潜力进行了研究。通过系统比较3种不同种植模式单季和周年作物水分利用效率以及水量平衡方程,获得如下结论:1)冬小麦-夏玉米一年两熟常规模式(对照)具有显著产量优势,但水分利用率较低,对地下水消耗较大,不利于本地区农业的可持续发展;2)与对照相比,春玉米一熟模式可以实现最小灌溉或者零灌溉,充分利用自然降雨的同时,还有助于地下水的恢复,但周年产量降低较多(降低41%),考虑到粮食安全的需求,该模式不适宜在当前推广;3)与对照相比,两年三熟模式3年总灌溉量降低48%,产量降低11%,节水效果明显,水分利用效率显著提高,该模式进一步完善后可适当推广。本研究结果为在华北平原地区兼顾粮食安全基础上拓展节水农业提供了新的思路,对发展可持续性农业做了有益探索。郭步庆 陶洪斌 王璞 Heike KNRZER Wilhelm CLAUPEIN 2013中国农业大学学报2013,18,1:27

5Senescence-Inducible Expression of Isopentenyl Transferase Extends Leaf Life,Increases Drought Stress Resistance and Alters Cytokinin Metabolism in Cassava显示文摘Cassava(Manihot esculenta Crantz) sheds its leaves during growth,especially within the tropical dry season.With the production of SAG12-IPT transgenic cassava we want to test the level of leaf retention and altered cytokinin metabolism of transgenic plants via the autoregulatory senescence inhibition system.After confirmation of transgene expression by molecular analysis and phenotype examination in greenhouse plants,two transgenic plant lines,529-28 and 529-48,were chosen for further investigation.Detached mature leaves of 529-28 plants retained high levels of chlorophyll compared with wild-type leaves after dark-induced senescence treatment.Line 529-28 showed significant drought tolerance as indicated by stay-green capacity after drought stress treatment.Field experiments proved that leaf senescence syndrome was significantly delayed in 529-28 plants in comparison with wild-type and 529-48 plants.Physiological and agronomical characterizations of these plants also revealed that the induced expression of IPT had effects on photosynthesis,sugar allocation and nitrogen partitioning.Importantly,the 529-28 plants accumulated a high level of trans-zeatin-type cytokinins particularly of corresponding storage O-glucosides to maintain cytokinin homeostasis.Our study proves the feasibility of prolonging the leaf life of woody cassava and also sheds light on the control of cytokinin homeostasis in cassava leaves.Peng Zhang Wen-Quan Wang Gen-Liang Zhang Miroslav Kaminek Petre Dobrev Jia Xu Wilhelm Gruissem 2010Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2010,52,7:18

8Plant Surfaces:Structures and Functions for Biomimetic Innovations显示文摘An overview of plant surface structures and their evolution is presented. It combines surface chemistry and architecture with their functions and refers to possible biomimetic applications. Within some 3.5 billion years biological species evolved highly complex multifunctional surfaces for interacting with their environments: some 10 million living prototypes(i.e., estimated number of existing plants and animals) for engineers. The complexity of the hierarchical structures and their functionality in biological organisms surpasses all abiotic natural surfaces: even superhydrophobicity is restricted in nature to living organisms and was probably a key evolutionary step with the invasion of terrestrial habitats some 350–450 million years ago in plants and insects. Special attention should be paid to the fact that global environmental change implies a dramatic loss of species and with it the biological role models. Plants, the dominating group of organisms on our planet, are sessile organisms with large multifunctional surfaces and thus exhibit particular intriguing features.Superhydrophilicity and superhydrophobicity are focal points in this work. We estimate that superhydrophobic plant leaves(e.g., grasses) comprise in total an area of around 250 million km^2, which is about 50% of the total surface of our planet. A survey of structures and functions based on own examinations of almost 20,000 species is provided, for further references we refer to Barthlott et al.(Philos. Trans. R. Soc. A 374: 20160191, 1). A basic difference exists between aquatic nonvascular and land-living vascular plants; the latter exhibit a particular intriguing surface chemistry and architecture. The diversity of features is described in detail according to their hierarchical structural order. The first underlying and essential feature is the polymer cuticle superimposed by epicuticular wax and the curvature of single cells up to complex multicellular structures. A descriptive terminology for this diversity is provided. Simplified, the functions of plant surface characteristics may be grouped into six categories:(1) mechanical properties,(2) influence on reflection and absorption of spectral radiation,(3) reduction of water loss or increase of water uptake, moisture harvesting,(4) adhesion and nonadhesion(lotus effect, insect trapping),(5) drag and turbulence increase, or(6) air retention under water for drag reduction or gas exchange(Salvinia effect). This list is far from complete. A short overview of the history of bionics and the impressive spectrum of existing and anticipated biomimetic applications are provided. 11Prospective cohort comparison of flavonoid treatment in patients with resected colorectal cancer to prevent recurrence显示文摘AIM: To investigate biological prevention with flavonoids the recurrence risk of neoplasia was studied in patients with resected colorectal cancer and after adenoma polypectomy. METHODS: Eighty-seven patients, 36 patients with resected colon cancer and 51 patients after polypectomy, were divided into 2 groups: one group was treated with a flavonoid mixture (daily standard dose 20 mg apigenin and 20 mg epigallocathechin-gallat, n = 31) and compared with a matched control group (n = 56). Both groups were observed for 3-4 years by surveillance colonoscopy and by questionnaire. RESULTS: Of 87 patients enrolled in this study, 36 had resected colon cancer and 29 of these patients had surveillance colonoscopy. Among the flavonoid-treated patients with resected colon cancer (n = 14), there was no cancer recurrence and one adenoma developed. In contrast the cancer recurrence rate of the 15 matched untreated controls was 20% (3 of 15) and adenomas evolved in 4 of those patients (27%). The combined recurrence rate for neoplasia was 7% (1 of 14) in the treated patients and 47% (7 of 15) in the controls (P = 0.027). 17Environmental responsibilities of livestock feeding using trace mineral supplements显示文摘Trace elements are essential dietary components for livestock species. However, they also exhibit a strong toxic potential. Therefore, their fluxes through the animal organism are tightly regulated by a complex molecular machinery that controls the rate of absorption from the gut lumen as well as the amount of excretion via faeces, urine and products(e.g., milk) in order to maintain an internal equilibrium. When supplemented in doses above the gross requirement trace elements accumulate in urine and faeces and, hence, manure. Thereby, trace element emissions represent a potential threat to the environment. This fact is of particular importance in regard to the widely distributed feeding practice of pharmacological zinc and copper doses for the purpose of performance enhancement. Adverse environmental effects have been described, like impairment of plant production, accumulation in edible animal products and the water supply chain as well as the correlation between increased trace element loads and antimicrobial resistance. In the light of discussions about reducing the allowed upper limits for trace element loads in feed and manure from livestock production in the European Union excessive dosing needs to be critically reconsidered. 20INFLUENCE OF AIR HUMIDITY ON THE SUPPRESSION OF FUGITIVE DUST BY USING A WATER-SPRAYING SYSTEM显示文摘One of the main origins of fugitive dust emission arises from bulk handling in quarries or mines, in par- ticular, from bulk materials falling from a hopper or a conveyor belt. Water-spraying systems, using two-phase nozzles, are one of the methods to suppress such dust emission. In this work we tried to develop a mathematical model to cor- relate air humidity, water flux through the nozzle and the dust (in particular PM10) emission, in order to improve the ap- plication and efficiency of these systems. Sand from the Yellow River in China was dropped from a conveyor belt into a dust chamber at 1 kg?min-1, wherefrom the emitted dust was sucked off and quantified via a cascade impactor. A two-phase nozzle was installed in the dust chamber with a water flux through the nozzle of 1.2 to 3 L?h-1, whereas the relative air humidity changed between 55 and 73%. Dust emission was found to be linearly dependent on relative air humidity.
