| 4 | Impacts of changed litter inputs on soil CO_2 efflux in three forest types in central south China显示文摘Climate change is expected to cause the alteration of litter production in forests,which may result in substantial changes in soil CO2 efflux (FCO2) process as litter represents a major pathway of carbon from vegetation to the soils.In this study,we conducted an aboveground litter manipulation experiment to examine the influence of litter addition and exclusion on soil FCO2 in Camphor tree,Masson pine,and mixed Camphor tree and Masson pine forests in central south China.Litter input manipulation included three treatments:non-litter input (litter exclusion),double litter input (litter addition),and natural litter input (control).On average,litter exclusion significantly reduced soil FCO2 rate by approximately 39%,24% and 22% in Camphor tree forests,the Mixed forests,and Masson pine forests,respectively.On a yearly basis,double litter addition significantly increased soil CO2 by 12% in the Mixed forests (P=0.02) but not in both Camphor tree and Masson pine forests (P>0.05),when compared with their corresponding control treatments.However,litter addition increased soil FCO2 rates in the months of June-August in Camphor tree and Masson pine forests,coinciding with high soil temperature of summer conditions.Litter exclusion reduced soil FCO2 more than litter addition increased it in the study sites.Responses of soil respiration to litter input treatments varied with forest types.Litter input treatments did not alter the seasonal patterns of soil temperature and soil water content.Our results indicated that changes in aboveground litter as a result of global climate change and/or forest management have a great potential to alter soil respiration and soil carbon balance in forest ecosystems. | YAN WenDe CHEN XiaoYong TIAN DaLun PENG YuanYing WANG GuangJun ZHENG Wei | 2013 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2013,56,3: | 11 |

| 15 | PCA weight and Johnson transformation based alarm threshold optimization in chemical processes显示文摘To alleviate the heavy load of massive alarm on operators, alarm threshold in chemical processes was optimized with principal component analysis(PCA) weight and Johnson transformation in this paper. First, few variables that have high PCA weight factors are chosen as key variables. Given a total alarm frequency to these variables initially, the allowed alarm number for each variable is determined according to their sampling time and weight factors. Their alarm threshold and then control limit percentage are determined successively. The control limit percentage of non-key variables is determined with 3σ method alternatively. Second, raw data are transformed into normal distribution data with Johnson function for all variables before updating their alarm thresholds via inverse transformation of obtained control limit percentage. Alarm thresholds are optimized by iterating this process until the calculated alarm frequency reaches standard level(normally one alarm per minute). Finally,variables and their alarm thresholds are visualized in parallel coordinate to depict their variation trends concisely and clearly. | 16 | Mathematical model study on the damage of the liquid phase to productivity in the gas reservoir with a bottom water zone显示文摘The production process in the gas reservoir with an aquifer is complex.With gas production,aquifer water could possibly flow into the production well and accumulate within the well bore,which leads to a lower production rate and may even block the producer.However,few studies in the literature investigate the damage caused by the liquid phase in this kind of reservoir or predict gas productivity using the relationship between reservoir pressure and water gas ratio(WGR).For this reason,it is important to know the effects of the formation of liquid phase behavior on production when an aquifer is present under a gas reservoir.From the results of published literature reviews,we found that studies focused on the production of a gas reservoir with bottom water.Nevertheless,for gas well damage from the liquid phase behavior,we found that there was no statistical data or mathematical model of the relationship between reservoir pressure and the gas oil ratio(GOR),which affects production.In this research,based on the theory of fluid flow in porous media,a new mathematical model of water and gas production and a new equation on gas well productivity is developed.To verify the model and equation,gas production data collected from the field are applied.By analyzing the typical gas reservoir with bottom water and the collected data,influences from the liquid phase behavior are shown.In this way,mathematical relationships between reservoir pressure and the WGR and between the GOR and production decline were obtained.The new gas productivity model is derived from the gas and water pseudo pressure functions,which can be applied to analyze well damage caused by the liquid phase.In order to verify the mathematical model,production data were collected from a typical gas reservoir with an aquifer located in the Changxing gas reservoir.The results indicate that a semi-logarithmic linear relationship is obtained between the WGR and productivity decrease.When the WGR increases from 0.5 to 15m3/104m3,damage caused by liquid phase decreases to 59%.The tendency of gas productivity in the Changxing gas reservoir was obtained so that it decreases as reservoir pressure decreases and increases as the WGR decreases.The gradient of the gas productivity deduction increases as the WGR increases.By the end of the data analysis,two linear equations indicating the relationship between gas productivity and reservoir pressure and the relationship between gas productivity and the water gas ratio are obtained:QAOF?A1lnWGRB1 and QAOF?A2lnPB2,respectively. | Xiaoliang Huang Xiao Guo Xinqian Lu Xiang Zhou Zhilin Qi Wende Yan Jiqiang Li | 2018 | Petroleum2018,4,2: | 4 |
| 17 | Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Aer Met 100 Ultra-high Strength Steel Joints by Laser Welding显示文摘Aer Met100 ultra-high strength steel plates with a thickness of 2 mm were welded using a CO2 laser welding system. The influences of the welding process parameters on the morphology and microstructure of the welding joints were investigated, and the mechanical property of the welding joints was analyzed. The experimental results showed that the fusion zone of welding joint mainly consisted of columnar grains and a fine dendrite substructure grew epitaxially from the matrix. With the other conditions remaining unchanged, a finer weld microstructure was along with the scanning speed increase. The solidification microstructure gradually transformed from cellular crystal into dendrite crystal and the spaces of dendrite secondary arms rose from the fusion line to the center of the fusion zone. In the fusion zone of the weld, the rapid cooling caused the formation of martensite, which led the microhardness of the fusion zone higher than that of the matrix and the heat affected zone. The tensile strength of the welding joints was tested as 1 700 MPa, which was about 87% of the matrix. | 20 | Reaction mechanism of methyl nitrite dissociation during co catalytic coupling to dimethyl oxalate:A density functional theory study显示文摘Dissociation of methyl nitrite is the first step during CO catalytic coupling to dimethyl oxalate followed by hydrogenation to ethyl glycol in a typical coal to liquid process. In this work, the first-principle calculations based on density functional theory were performed to explore the reaction mechanism for the non-catalytic dissociation of methyl nitrite in the gas phase and the catalytic dissociation of methyl nitrite on Pd(111) surface since palladium supported on alpha-alumina is the most effective catalyst for the coupling. For the non-catalytic case, the calculated results show that the CH_3O–NO bond will break with a bond energy of 1.91 eV, and the produced CH_3O radicals easily decompose to formaldehyde, while the further dissociation of formaldehyde in the gas phase is difficult due to the strong C–H bond. On the other hand, the catalytic dissociation of methyl nitrite on Pd(111) to the adsorbed CH_3O and NO takes place with a small energy barrier of 0.03 eV. The calculated activation energies along the proposed reaction pathways indicate that(i) at low coverage, a successive dehydrogenation of the adsorbed CH_3O to CO and H is favored while(ii) at high coverage, hydrogenation of CH_3O to methanol and carbonylation of CH_3O to methyl formate are more preferred.
