1Multi-wavelength erbium-doped fiber laser using four-wave mixing effect in doped fiber显示文摘We demonstrate a multi-wavelength erbium-doped fiber laser (EDFL) using erbium gain and four-wave mixing (FWM) effect in a piece of erbium-doped fiber (EDF) with high erbium ion concentration. The EDF has a pump absorption rate of 24.6 dB/m at 979 nm and is bi-directionally pumped by 980-nm laser diodes. FWM effect redistributes the energy of different oscillating lines and causes multi-wavelength operation. The laser generates more than 22 lines of optical comb with a line spacing of approximately 0.10 nm at the 1569-nm region using only 1.5-m-long EDF.N. S. Shahabuddin Z. Yusoff H. Ahmad S. W. 16Pharmacokinetic evaluation,molecular docking and in vitro biological evaluation of 1,3,4-oxadiazole derivatives as potent antioxidants and STAT3 inhibitors显示文摘1, 3, 4-Oxadiazole derivatives(4 a–5 f) were previously synthesized to investigate their anticancer properties.However, studies relating to their antioxidant potential and signal transducer and activator of transcription(STAT) inhibition have not been performed. We investigated previously synthesized 1, 3, 4-oxadiazole derivatives(4 a–5 f) for various radical scavenging properties using several in vitro antioxidant assays and also for direct inhibition of STAT3 through molecular docking. The data obtained from various antioxidant assays such as 2, 2,-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl radical(DPPH), nitric oxide, hydrogen peroxide, and superoxide anion radical revealed that among all the derivatives, compound 5 e displayed high antioxidant activities than the standard antioxidant L-ascorbic acid. Additionally, the total reduction assay and antioxidant capacity assay further confirmed the antioxidant potential of compound 5 e. Furthermore, the molecular docking studies performed for all derivatives along with the standard inhibitor STX-0119 showed that binding energy released in direct binding with the SH2 domain of STAT3 was the highest for compound 5 e(-9.91 kcal/mol).Through virtual screening, compound 5 e was found to exhibit optimum competency in inhibiting STAT3 activity. Compound 5 e decreased the activation of STAT3 as observed with Western blot. 19Synthesis, Crystal Structure and Antimicrobial Activity of {[Bis(pyridine-κN)bis(3,5-dinitrosalicylato κ-O,O')Zn(Ⅱ)][bis(pyridine-κN)Zn(Ⅱ)]}显示文摘A novel {[bis(pyridine-κN)bis(3,5-dinitrosalicylato κ-O,O')Zn(Ⅱ)][bis(pyridine-κN)Zn(Ⅱ)]}(C_(34)H_(24)N_8O_(14)Zn_2) was synthesized by a self-assemble method at room temperature. The molecular structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray analysis. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P2_1/n with a = 12.2156, b = 13.5696, c = 22.5602 ?, β = 90.061o, Z = 4 and V = 3739.6(3) ?~3. The new 1D binuclear coordination polymer {[bis(py-κN)bis(3,5-dinitrosal κ-O,O′) Zn(Ⅱ)][bis(py-κN)Zn(Ⅱ)]} resulted from two different types of moieties. The polymer [bis(py-κN)bis(3,5-dinitrosal κ-O,O′)Zn(Ⅱ)] unit is connected with [bis(py-κN) Zn(Ⅱ)] by zigzag topology. One zinc(Ⅱ) cation has a six-fold coordination environment, in which the metal atom is connected with four oxygen atoms of two 3,5-dinitrosalicylic acids to form equatorial bonds and two nitrogen atoms of pyridine to generate the axial bonds. Other four-fold nucleus contain two Zn–O bonds from different 3,5-dinitrosalicylic acids and two bonds with the Natom of pyridine.
