| 1 | Atrial fibrillation in patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease: A comprehensive review显示文摘AIM:To analyze the potential relationship between gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD)and the development of atrial fibrillation(AF).METHODS:Using the key words'atrial fibrillation and gastroesophageal reflux','atrial fibrillation and esophagitis,peptic','atrial fibrillation and hernia,hiatal'the PubMed,EMBASE,Cochrane Library,OVIDSP,WILEY databases were screened for relevant publications on GERD and AF in adults between January 1972-December 2013.Studies written in languages other than English or French,studies not performed in humans,reviews,case reports,abstracts,conference presentations,letters to the editor,editorials,comments and opinions were not taken into consideration.Articles treating the subject of radiofrequency ablation of AF and the consecutive development of GERD were also excluded.RESULTS:Two thousand one hundred sixty-one titles were found of which 8 articles met the inclusion criteria.The presence of AF in patients with GERD was reported to be between 0.62%-14%,higher compared to those without GERD.Epidemiological data provided by these observational studies showed that patients with GERD,especially those with more severe GERD-related symptoms,had an increased risk of developing AF compared with those without GERD,but a causal relationship between GERD and AF could not be established based on these studies.The mechanisms of AF as a consequence of GERD remain largely unknown,with inflammation and vagal stimulation playing a possible role in the development of these disorders.Treatment with proton pomp inhibitors may improve symptoms related to AF and facilitate conversion to sinus rhythm.CONCLUSION:Although links between AF and GERD exist,large randomized clinical studies are required for a better understanding of the relationship between these two entities. | Crina Roman Stanislas Bruley des Varannes Lucian Muresan Alina Picos Dan L Dumitrascu | 2014 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2014，20，28： | 16 |
| 2 | JAK-STAT pathway in carcinogenesis:Is it relevant to cholangiocarcinoma progression?显示文摘The features of JAK-STAT signaling in liver cells are discussed in the current review. The role of this signaling cascade in carcinogenesis is accentuated. The possible involvement of this pathway and alteration of its elements are compared for normal cholangiocytes, cholangiocarcinoma predisposition and development. Prolactin and interleukin-6 are described in detail as the best studied examples. | 4 | Prediction of Dynamic and Aerodynamic Characteristics of the Centrifugal Fan with Forward Curved Blades显示文摘The main aim of this paper is determine the centrifugal fan with forward curved blades aerodynamic characteristics based on numerical modeling. Three variants of geometry were investigated. The first, basic 'A' variant contains 12 blades. The geometry of second 'B' variant contains 12 blades and 12 semi-blades with optimal length[1]. The third, control variant 'C' contains 24 blades without semi-blades. Numerical calculations were performed by CFD Ansys. Another aim of this paper is to compare results of the numerical simulation with results of approximate numerical procedure. Applied approximate numerical procedure [2] is designated to determine characteristics of the turbulent flow in the bladed space of a centrifugal-flow fan impeller. This numerical method is an extension of the hydro-dynamical cascade theory for incompressible and inviscid fluid flow. Paper also partially compares results from the numerical simulation and results from the experimental investigation. Acoustic phenomena observed during experiment, during numerical simulation manifested as deterioration of the calculation stability, residuals oscillation and thus also as a flow field oscillation.
