1Support effects on the chemical property and catalytic activity of Co-Mo HDS catalyst in sulfur recovery显示文摘Effects of carbon nanotubes (CNT) and alumina (γ-Al2O3) supports on the catalytic activities of hydrodesulfurization (HDS) process over CoMo catalyst have been studied. XRD results indicated that the main active phases in CNT and γ-Al2O3 supported Co-Mo catalysts are MoO2 and MoO3, respectively. The TPR results reveal that the reduction peak temperatures of the active species on CNT supported Co-Mo catalyst is lower than those on alumina supported Co-Mo catalyst, indicating that the CNT supports favor the reduction of active species. 3Partial oxidation of methane in Ba_(0.5)Sr_(0.5)Co_(0.8)Fe_(0.1)Ni_(0.1)O_(3-δ) ceramic membrane reactor显示文摘Ba0.5Sr0.5Co0.8Fe0.1Ni0.1O3δ(BSCFNiO) perovskite oxides were synthesized using a combined EDTA-citrate complexation method,and then pressed into disk and applied in a membrane reactor.The performance of the BSCFNiO membrane reactor was studied for partial oxidation of methane over Ni/α-Al 2 O 3 catalyst.The time dependence of oxygen permeation rate and catalytic performance of BSCFNiO membrane during the catalyst initiation stage were investigated at 850 C.In unsteady state,oxygen permeation rate,methane conversion and CO selectivity were closely related to the state of the catalyst.After 300 min from the initial time,the reaction condition reached to steady state and oxygen permeation rate were obtained about 11.7cm 3 cm 2 min 1.Also,the performance of membrane reactor was studied at the temperatures between 750 and 950 C.The results demonstrated good performance for the membrane reactor,as CH 4 conversion and CO selectivity permeation rate reached 98% and 97.5%,respectively,and oxygen permeation rate was about 14.5 cm 3 cm 2 min 1 which was 6.8 times higher than that of air-helium gradient.Characterization of membrane surface by SEM after reaction showed that the original grains disappeared on both surfaces exposed to the air and reaction side,but XRD profile of the polished surface membrane indicated that the membrane bulk preserved the perovskite structure.Ensieh Ganji Babakhani Jafar Towfighi Zahra Taheri Ali Nakhaei Pour Majid Zekordi Ali Taheri 2012Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2012,21,5:4
4Ce-promoted Mn/Na_2 WO_4/SiO_2 catalyst for oxidative coupling of methane at atmospheric pressure显示文摘A series of Ce-promoted Mn-Na2WO4/SiO2 catalysts were prepared by incipient wetness impregnation method, and their catalytic performance for oxidative coupling of methane (OCM) was investigated at atmospheric pressure in a micro-quartz-tube reactor. The catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), temperature program reduction (TPR) and BET surface area. Ce promoter increased surface area and Na2WO4 species dispersion, which enriched the amount of the surface species. In addition, Ce promoter increased the Na/W species reduction, but the reduction peak shifted to higher temperature. Stability test of 5wt%Ce catalyst indicated suitable performance and stability. 5Deactivation studies of bifunctional Fe-HZSM5 catalyst in Fischer-Tropsch process显示文摘A physical mixture of alkali-promoted iron catalyst with binder based on Fischer-Tropsch synthesis and an acidic co-catalyst (HZSM5) for syngas conversion to hydrocarbons was studied in a fixed bed micro reactor. Deactivation data were obtained during the synthesis over a 1400 h period. The deactivation studies on iron catalyst showed that this trend followed the phase transformation Fe2.2C ( ε′) → Fe5C2 (χ) → Fe3C (θ), and the final predominant phase of the catalyst was Fe3C (θ). Deactivation of zeolite component in bifunctional catalyst may be caused by coking over the zeolitic component, dealumination of zeolite crystals, and migration of alkali promoters from iron catalyst under synthesis conditions. 7Fischer-Tropsch synthesis by nano-structured iron catalyst显示文摘Effects of nanoscale iron oxide particles on textural structure,reduction,carburization and catalytic behavior of precipitated iron catalyst in Fischer-Tropsch synthesis(FTS) are investigated.Nanostructured iron catalysts were prepared by microemulsion method in two series.Firstly,Fe2O3 ,CuO and La2O3 nanoparticles were prepared separately and were mixed to attain Fe/Cu/La nanostructured catalyst(sep-nano catalyst);Secondly nanostructured catalyst was prepared by co-precipitation in a water-in-oil microemulsion method(mix-nano catalyst).Also,conventional iron catalyst was prepared with common co-precipitation method.Structural characterizations of the catalysts were performed by TEM,XRD,H2 and CO-TPR tests.Particle size of iron oxides for sep-nano and mix-nano catalysts,which were determined by XRD pattern(Scherrer equation) and TEM images was about 20 and 21.6 nm,respectively.Catalyst evaluation was conducted in a fixed-bed stainless steel reactor and compared with conventional iron catalyst.The results revealed that FTS reaction increased while WGS reaction and olefin/paraffin ratio decreased in nanostructured iron catalysts.Ali Nakhaei Pour Mohammad Reza Housaindokht Sayyed Faramarz Tayyari Jamshid Zarkesh 2010Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2010,19,3:3
8Detection of leptospiral antibodies by microscopic agglutination test in north-east of Iran显示文摘Objective:To detect leptospiral antibodies by microscopic agglutination test(MAT) in northeast of Iran.Methods:This study was conducted to evaluate prevalence of human leptospiral infections by MAT.using six current reference strains of Leptospira interrogans in north-east of Iran.A total of 285 serum samples were collected from three north-east provinces of Iran,from December,2009 to June,2010.Results:Antibodies were detected at least against one serovar of Leptospira interrogans in 45 sera(15.79%) among 283 samples at a dilution 1:100 or greater.Positive titers against more than one serovar were detected in 24 sera of the positive samples.Therefore, there were 75 positive reactions against different serovar of Leptospira interrogans.Positive titers were recorded against serovar icterohaemorrhagiae(31 samples),hardjo(26 samples), grippotyphosa(7 samples),pomona(5 samples),canicola(4 samples) and ballum(2.sample). 9In vivo toxicity study of Lantana camara显示文摘Objective:To investigate the toxicity of methanol extract of various parts(Root,Stem,Leaf, Flower and Fruit) of Lantana camara(L.Camara) in Artemia salina.Methods:The methanol extracts of L.camara were tested for in vivo brine shrimp lethality assay.Results:All the tested extract exhibited very low toxicity on brine shrimp larva.The results showed that the root extract was the most toxic part of L.camara and may have potential as anticancer agent.Conclusions: Methanolic extract of L.camara is relatively safe on short-term exposure.Badakhshan Mahdi Pour Sreenivasan Sasidharan 2011Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2011,1,3:3

Microemulsion(using water-to-surfactant molar ratios of 2 to12) and impregnation techniques were used to prepare catalysts with different Co particle sizes. Kinetic studies were performed to understand the effect of Co particle size on catalytic activity. Size-dependent kinetic parameters were developed using a thermodynamic method, to evaluate the structural sensitivity of the CNT-supported Co catalysts. The size-independent FTS reaction rate constant and size-independent adsorption parameter increased with increasing reaction temperature. 11Enhancement of bimetallic Fe-Mn/CNTs nano catalyst activity and product selectivity using microemulsion technique显示文摘Bimetallic Fe-Mn nano catalysts supported on carbon nanotubes(CNTs) were prepared using microemulsion technique with water-to-surfactant ratios of 0.4-1.6. The nano catalysts were extensively characterized by different methods and their activity and selectivity in Fischer-Tropsch synthesis(FTS) have been assessed in a fixed-bed microreactor. The physicochemical properties and performance of the nanocatalysts were compared with the catalyst prepared by impregnation method. Very narrow particle size distribution has been produced by the microemulsion technique at relatively high loading of active metal. TEM images showed that small metal nano particles in the range of 3–7 nm were not only confined inside the CNTs but also located on the outer surface of the CNTs. Using microemulsion technique with water to surfactant ratio of0.4 decreased the average iron particle sizes to 5.1 nm. The reduction percentage and dispersion percentage were almost doubled. Activity and selectivity were found to be dependent on the catalyst preparation method and average iron particle size. CO conversion and FTS rate increased from 49.1% to 71.0% and 0.144 to 0.289 gHC/(gcat h), respectively. While the WGS rate decreased from 0.097 to 0.056 gCO2/(gcat h). 14Studies on product distribution of alkali promoted iron catalyst in Fischer-Tropsch synthesis显示文摘The dependencies of hydrocarbon product distributions of alkali promoted iron catalyst in Fischer-Tropsch synthesis have been studied. The concept of two superimposed Anderson-Schulz-Flory distributions has been applied for the representation of the effects of Mg, La and Ca promoters on product distributions. The FTS performance of the catalysts was tested in a fixed bed reactor under the conditions 563 K, 1.7 MPa, H2/CO = 1 and space velocities 4.86 and 13.28 nl h-1 gFe-1 . 15Effects of herbal extracts and compounds and pharmacological agents on pulmonary fibrosis in animal models:a review显示文摘Pulmonary fibrosis, a chronic inflammatory disease that occurs mainly in older adults, is a serious health threat with few effective treatment options. The etiological aspects of pulmonary fibrosis remain unknown, though some factors such as cigarette smoking, viral infections, surfactant protein polymorphisms, and chronic or high doses use of certain drugs are considered to be risk factors for the progression of pulmonary fibrosis. No standard treatments have been introduced in clinic yet. Although glucocorticoids and antioxidant drugs have been administered, the severe and broad-spectrum adverse effects of glucocorticoids limit their use. Efforts to identify novel therapeutic agents with improved safety profiles are therefore ongoing. In this review, the authors have described the effects of herbal extracts and compounds and certain pharmacological agents on pulmonary fibrosis in animal models.
