| 1 | Clustering-based hyperspectral band selection using sparse nonnegative matrix factorization显示文摘Hyperspectral imagery generally contains a very large amount of data due to hundreds of spectral bands.Band selection is often applied firstly to reduce computational cost and facilitate subsequent tasks such as land-cover classification and higher level image analysis.In this paper,we propose a new band selection algorithm using sparse nonnegative matrix factorization (sparse NMF).Though acting as a clustering method for band selection,sparse NMF need not consider the distance metric between different spectral bands,which is often the key step for most common clustering-based band selection methods.By imposing sparsity on the coefficient matrix,the bands' clustering assignments can be easily indicated through the largest entry in each column of the matrix.Experimental results showed that sparse NMF provides considerable insight into the clustering-based band selection problem and the selected bands are good for land-cover classification. | Ji-ming LI 1,2,Yun-tao QIAN 1 (1 School of Computer Science and Technology,Zhejiang University,Hangzhou 310027,China) (2 Zhejiang Police College,Hangzhou 310053,China) | 2011 | Journal of Zhejiang University-Science C(Computers and Electronics)2011，12，7： | 12 |

| 3 | Bismuth Modified Porous Silica Preparation,Characterization and Photocatalytic Activity Evaluation for Degradation of Isoproturon显示文摘Porous silica prepared by using an acrylic emulsion has been impregnated with bismuth ion resulting in Bi_2SiO_5 species containing surface.The as-prepared materials have been characterized by X-ray diffraction spectroscopy (XRD),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy(UV-Vis DRS), scanning electron microscopy(SEM),energy dispersive analysis of X-ray(EDAX),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR) and N_2 adsorption/desorption techniques. | 9 | Study of the effect of atorvastatin on the interaction between ICAM-1 and CD11b by live-cell single-molecule force spectroscopy显示文摘The interaction between the cell adhesion molecule CD11b and its ligand ICAM-1 plays an important role in inflammatory responses in the disease of atherosclerosis. Atorvastatin is a commonly prescribed statin drug which has been considered as one of the most potent therapeutic agents for atherosclerosis due to its lipid-lowering effect. Recently, there is a growing body of evidence that atorvastatin has anti-inflammatory effect. We have applied the advanced method of live-cell single-molecule force spectroscopy to investigate the effect of atorvastatin on adhesion force between ICAM-1 and CD11b. Our result showed that single-molecule binding force of ICAM-1 and CD11b detected by AFM in the living cells was about 40 pN, and atorvastatin did not affect this force by blocking ICAM-1 or CD11b. This was different from the ICAM-1 monoclonal antibody, which could directly reduce the binding force of ICAM-1 and CD11b. Flow cytometry results revealed that atorvastatin pretreatment decreased the ICAM-1 expression in TNF-α activated HUVECs, which may contribute to its anti-inflammatory effect. | 10 | Studies on Human Fetal Lens Crystallins Under Oxidative Stress and Protective Effects of Tea Polyphenols显示文摘Purpose: To investigate the oxidative modification of water-soluble crystallins of human fetal lens with H2O2 and fourteen metal ions with or without EDTA. Tea-polyphenols (TP) was added to above solutions in order to testing their antioxidative abilities. Methods: The experiments were performed at 37℃ with final concentration of 2.5mg/ml protein, 0.1 mM metal ions, 0.3 mM EDTA and 1.0 mM H2O2. Then the TP was added to the solution with CuSO4 and H2O2, after 5 or 24 hours, the crystallins were analysed with SDS-PAGE and IEF.Results : There were marked oxidative modifications of lens protein in H2O2 and copper without EDTA. In SDS-PAGE patterns, we found an increase in those species above of bands higher than 30 kD and some diffuse bands from 30 to 17 kD after 5 hours. In IEF patterns, there were a general increase on acidity with loss of the more basic species.
