| 1 | Gastrointestinal stromal tumors:Thirty years experience of an Institution显示文摘AIM:To report our experience of gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) during the last 29 years. METHODS:Thirty two cases of GIST referred to our Institution from the 1st January 1981 to the 10th June 2010 were reviewed. Metastases,recurrence and survival data were collected in relation to age,history,clinical presentation,location,size,resection margins and cellular features. RESULTS:Mean age was 63.7 years (range,40-90) and incidence was slightly higher in males (56%). R0 resection was performed in 90.7% of cases,R1 in 6.2% (2 cases) and R2 in 3.1% (one case). Using Fletcher's classification 8/32 (25%) had high risk,9/32 (28%) intermediate and 15/32 (47%) low risk tumors. Follow-up varied from 1 mo to 29 years,with a median of 8 years; overall survival was 75% (24/32),disease-free survival was 72% and tumor-related mortality was 9.3%. Three patients with high risk GIST were treated with imatinib mesylate:one developed a recurrence after 36 mo,and 2 are free from disease at 41 mo. CONCLUSION:Surgical treatment remains the gold standard therapy for resectable GISTs. | 4 | Time amplifying techniques towards atomic time resolution显示文摘High speed imaging technology has opened applications in many fields,such as collision,detonating, high voltage discharge,disintegration and transfer of phonon and exciton in solid,photosynthesis primitive reaction,and electron dynamics inside atom shell.In principle,all of the transient processes need to be explained theoretically and,at the same time,the time amplifying technique is required for observations of these processes.The present review concerns the atomic time amplifying mechanism of optical information and the extremely-high speed imaging methods,which are expressed in terms of the short time amplifying techniques.It is well-known that for extremely-high speed imaging with the converter tube,the temporal resolution is in the order of sub-picosecond of the streak imaging,and the imaging frequency is 6×10 8 ―5×10 9 fps(frame per second)of the frame imaging.On the other hand,for the tubeless extremely-high speed imaging,the imaging frequency is 10 7 ―10 14 fps,and its mechanism of forming high speed and framing could involve a lot of factors of the light under investigation,for instance,light speed,light parallelism,the parameters of light wave such as amplitude,phase,polari- zation and wavelength,and even quantum properties of photon.In the cascaded system of electro- magnetic wave and particle wave,it is possible to simultaneously realize extremely-high resolution in time and space,which is higher than a kite resolution.Then it would be possible to break the limit of the Heisenberg uncertainty relation of the optical frequency band. | LI JingZhen Institute of Photonic Engineering,College of Electron Science&Technology,Shenzhen University,and Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Micro·Nano Photonic Information,Shenzhen 518060,China | 2009 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2009,52,12: | 5 |
| 5 | Combined laparoscopic spleen-preserving distal pancreatectomy and islet autotransplantation for benign pancreatic neoplasm显示文摘AIM:To evaluate the safety and feasibility of laparoscopic spleen-preserving distal pancreatectomy(LSPDP)with autologous islet transplantation(AIT)for benign tumors of the pancreatic body-neck.METHODS:Three non-diabetic,female patients(age37,44 and 35 years,respectively)were declared candidates for surgery,between May and September 2011,because of pancreatic body/neck cystic lesions.The planned operation was an LSPDP associated with AIT from the normal pancreas distal to the neoplasm.Islets isolation was performed on the residual pancreatic parenchyma after frozen section examination of the margin.Purified autologous islets were infused into the portal vein by a percutaneous transhepatic approach the day after surgery.RESULTS:The procedure was performed successfully in all the three cases,and the spleen was preserved along with its vessels.Mean operation time was 283±52 min and average blood loss was 133±57 mL.Residual pancreas weights were 33,22 and 30 g,and105.200,40.390 and 94.790 islet equivalents were isolated,respectively.Surgical complications occurred in one patient(grade A pancreatic fistula).Postoperative stays were 6,6 and 7 d,respectively.Histopathological evaluation revealed mucinous cystic neoplasm in cases1 and 3,and serous cystic neoplasm in patient 2.No postoperative insulin administration was required.One patient developed a transient partial portal thrombosis2 mo after islet infusion.Patients are insulin independent at a mean follow up of 8±2 mo.CONCLUSION:Combination of LSPDP and AIT is feasible and could be effective to minimize the surgical impact for benign neoplasm of pancreatic body-neck. | Gianpaolo Balzano Michele Carvello Lorenzo Piemonti Rita Nano Riccardo Ariotti Alessia Mercalli Raffaella Melzi Paola Maffi Marco Braga Carlo Staudacher | 2014 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,14: | 4 |
| 6 | Reduction of internal stress in SU-8 photoresist layer by ultrasonic treatment显示文摘At present, high internal stress in SU-8 photoresist layer has become one of the most primary problems and restricted structure stability and higher aspect ratio of SU-8 photoresist. However, the existing studies all focused on optimizing the process pa-rameters or mask design, and could not be popularized. The purpose of this paper is to reduce the internal stress in cured SU-8 photoresist layer by ultrasonic stress relief technology. The ultrasonic stress relief mechanism in SU-8 photoresist layer was presented. Based on improved Stoney’s formula, the profile mothod calculation model for SU-8 internal stress was proposed. The effect of ultrasonic stress relief on SU-8 layers was studied by experiments. Some important factors, such as amplitude of vibration, power input and relief time, were discussed. The values of internal stress before and after the ultrasonic stress relief process were compared. | 9 | Impact of thickness of GaN buffer layer on properties of AlN/GaN distributed Bragg reflectors grown by metalorganic chemical vapor deposition显示文摘We studied the impact of the thickness of GaN buffer layer on the properties of distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) grown by metalorganic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD). The samples were characterized by using metallographic microscope, transmission electron microscope (TEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), X-ray diffractometer (XRD) and spectrophotometer. The results show that the thickness of the GaN buffer layer can significantly affect the properties of the DBR structure and there is an optimal thickness of the GaN buffer layer.
