1Effects of Silicon Content and Intercritical Annealing on Manganese Partitioning in Dual Phase Steels显示文摘Steels of constant manganese and carbon contents with silicon content of 0.34%-2.26% were cast.The as-cast steels were then hot rolled at 1100 ℃ in five passes to reduce the cast ingot thickness from 80 to 4 mm, air cooled to room temperature and cold rolled to 2 mm in thickness. Dual phase microstructures with different volume fraction of martensite were obtained through the intercritical annealing of the steels at different temperatures for 15 min followed by water quenching. In addition to intercritical annealing temperature, silicon content also altered the volume fraction of martensite in dual phase steels. The partitioning of manganese in dual phase silicon steels was investigated using energy-dispersive spectrometer (EDS). The partitioning coefficient, defined as the ratio of the amounts of alloying element in the austenite to that in the adjacent ferrite, for manganese increased with increasing intercritical annealing temperature and silicon content of steels. It was also found that the solubility of manganese in ferrite and austenite decreased with increasing intercritical temperature. 2DRAG REDUCTION IN A TURBULENT CHANNEL FLOW WITH HYDROPHOBIC WALL显示文摘This paper investigates a theoretical prediction of friction drag reduction in turbulent channel flow which is achieved by using superhydrophobic surfaces. The effect of the hydrophobic surface is considered to be a slip boundary condition on the wall, and this new boundary condition is added to Large Eddy Simulation (LES) equations. The predicted drag reduction at Reτ=180 is approximately 30%, which concurs with results obtained from Direct Numerical Simulation (DNS). An important implication of the present finding is that the near-wall turbulence structures are modified with streamwise slip velocity. 3Selection of regression models for predicting strength and deformability properties of rocks using GA显示文摘Recently,many regression models have been presented for prediction of mechanical parameters of rocks regarding to rock index properties.Although statistical analysis is a common method for developing regression models,but still selection of suitable transformation of the independent variables in a regression model is diffcult.In this paper,a genetic algorithm(GA)has been employed as a heuristic search method for selection of best transformation of the independent variables(some index properties of rocks)in regression models for prediction of uniaxial compressive strength(UCS)and modulus of elasticity(E).Firstly,multiple linear regression(MLR)analysis was performed on a data set to establish predictive models.Then,two GA models were developed in which root mean squared error(RMSE)was defned as ftness function.Results have shown that GA models are more precise than MLR models and are able to explain the relation between the intrinsic strength/elasticity properties and index properties of rocks by simple formulation and accepted accuracy.Manouchehrian Amin Sharifzadeh Mostafa Hamidzadeh Moghadam Rasoul Nouri Tohid 2013International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2013,23,4:9
4Additive manufacturing of metallic and polymeric load-bearing biomaterials using laser powder bed fusion:A review显示文摘Surgical prostheses and implants used in hard-tissue engineering should satisfy all the clinical,mechanical,manufacturing,and economic requirements in order to be used for load-bearing applications.Metals,and to a lesser extent,polymers are promising materials that have long been used as load-bearing biomaterials.With the rapid development of additive manufacturing(AM)technology,metallic and polymeric implants with complex structures that were once impractical to manufacture using traditional processing methods can now easily be made by AM.This technology has emerged over the past four decades as a rapid and cost-effective fabrication method for geometrically complex implants with high levels of accuracy and precision.The ability to design and fabricate patient-specific,customized structural biomaterials has made AM a subject of great interest in both research and clinical settings.Among different AM methods,laser powder bed fusion(L-PBF)is emerging as the most popular and reliable AM method for producing load-bearing biomaterials.This layer-by-layer process uses a high-energy laser beam to sinter or melt powders into a part patterned by a computer-aided design(CAD)model.The most important load-bearing applications of L-PBF-manufactured biomaterials include orthopedic,traumatological,craniofacial,maxillofacial,and dental applications.The unequalled design freedom of AM technology,and L-PBF in particular,also allows fabrication of complex and customized metallic and polymeric scaffolds by altering the topology and controlling the macro-porosity of the implant.This article gives an overview of the L-PBF method for the fabrication of load-bearing metallic and polymeric biomaterials.Alireza Nouri Anahita Rohani Shirvan Yuncang Li Cuie Wen 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,35:9
5A New Sliding Function for Discrete Predictive Sliding Mode Control of Time Delay Systems显示文摘The control of time delay systems is still an open area for research. This paper proposes an enhanced model predictive discrete-time sliding mode control with a new sliding function for a linear system with state delay. Firstly, a new sliding function including a present value and a past value of the state, called dynamic surface, is designed by means of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Then, using this dynamic function and the rolling optimization method in the predictive control strategy, a discrete predictive sliding mode controller is synthesized. This new strategy is proposed to eliminate the undesirable effect of the delay term in the closed loop system. Also, the designed control strategy is more robust, and has a chattering reduction property and a faster convergence of the system s state. 8Analysis of shear rate effects on drag reduction in turbulent channel flow with superhydrophobic wall显示文摘We examined the shear rate effect on drag reduction of superhydrophobic surfaces with different slip lengths.For this purpose,turbulent channel flow was considered at the friction Reynolds numbers of Re=180,395,500.By using Navier’s slip condition it is shown that increasing shear rate leads to the greater reduction in drag force and also more reduction occurs in larger slip length.Based on the results,more than 25%drag reduction happens at a friction Reynolds number of Re=500 for slip length of 1×10–5m.The simulation results suggest that reduction in drag force occurs because slip condition reduces the Reynolds stresses,also weakens vorticity filed and the near-wall coherent structures,and therefore turbulence production is decreased.NOURI Nowrouz Mohammad BAKHSH Mohammad Saadat SEKHAVAT Setareh 2013Journal of Hydrodynamics2013,25,6:5

10Constitutive model for monotonic and cyclic responses of loosely cemented sand formations显示文摘This paper presents a model to simulate the monotonic and cyclic behaviours of weakly cemented sands.An elastoplastic constitutive model within the framework of bounding surface plasticity theory is adopted to predict the mechanical behaviour of soft sandstone under monotonic and cyclic loadings. In this model, the loading surface always passes through the current stress state regardless of the type of loading. Destruction of the cementation bonds by plastic deformation in the model is considered as the primary mechanism responsible for the mechanical degradation of loosely cemented sands/weak rock.To model cyclic response, the unloading plastic and elastic moduli are formulated based on the loading/reloading plastic and elastic moduli. The proposed model was implemented in FLAC2D and evaluated against laboratory triaxial tests under monotonic and cyclic loadings, and the model results agreed well with the experimental observations. 11Effect of Matricaria chamomilla Hydroalcoholic Extract on Cisplatin-induced Neuropathy in Mice显示文摘AIM: Cisplatin-based chemotherapy is a mainstay for the treatment of solid tumors, especially colorectal, ovarian, testicular, bladder, and lung cancer. Studies have shown that cisplatin could have painful effects on human and animal models. Matri-caria chamomilla (MC) has analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of MC hydro-alcoholic extract on cisplatin-induced peripheral neuropathy and to compare with morphine in mice. METHODS: Experiments were performed on 60 NMRI male mice weighed 25 g to 30 g which have been divided into 6 groups. The first group received normal saline; the second group received MC hydroalcoholic extract; the third group received cisplatin; the fourth group received MC hydroalcoholic extract and cisplatin, 96 hours before formalin test; the fifth group received morphine and the sixth group received cisplatin and mor-phine. The time of injected hind paw biting and licking time were measured in 5-minute interval for an hour. RESULTS: Results showed that formalin induced significant (P < 0.05) pain response (the first phase: 0-5 min and the second phase: 15-40 min after injection). Administration of MC extract before formalin injection showed significant (P < 0.05) decrease of pain responses in the first and second phase. Administration of cisplatin produced significant (P < 0.05) increase in pain response in both phases of formalin test. Injection of MC extract and cisplatin together have shown that MC is able to decrease the second phase of cisplatin-induced pain sig-nificantly (P < 0.05). Morphine decreased cisplatin-induced pain in the first and second phase of formalin test significantly ( P < 0.05). In comparison morphine has analgesic effects in the first phase and MC extract has anti inflammatory effects in the second phase of formalin test significantly (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: MC and cisplatin have analgesic and painful neuropathic respective effects, and MC hydroalcoholic extract is able to decrease cisplatin-induced pain and inflammation better than morphine.A. 13Low-frequency Oscillation Damping Control for Large-scale Power System with Simplified Virtual Synchronous Machine显示文摘This study focuses on a virtual synchronous machine(VSM) based on voltage source converters to mimic the behavior of synchronous machines(SMs) and improve the damping ratio of the power system. The VSM model is simplified according to some assumptions(neglecting the speed variation and the stator transients) to allow for the possibility of dealing with low-frequency oscillation in large-scale systems with many VSMs. Furthermore, a virtual power system stabilizer(VPSS) structure is proposed and tuned using a method based on a linearized power system dynamic model. 14Effect of Salvia officinalis Hydroalcoholic Extract on Vincristine-induced Neuropathy in Mice显示文摘AIM:Vincristine is one of the most commonly used chemotherapeutic drugs to treat a variety of malignant diseases,including leukemia and lymphoma.Studies have shown that vincristine cause painful effects,whereas Salvia officinalis(SO) showed analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects.The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of the SO hydro-alcoholic extract on vincristine-induced peripheral neuropathy in mice in comparison with morphine.METHODS:Experiments were performed on 60 NMRI male mice weighing 25-30 g divided into six groups.The individual groups received normal saline,SO hydro-alcoholic extract,vincristine,SO hydro-alcoholic extract and vincristine(12 days before formalin test),morphine,and vincristine and morphine,respectively.The injected hind paw biting and licking was measured in a 5-minute interval for one hour.RESULTS:The results showed that formalin induce significant(P < 0.05) pain responses(the first phase:0-5 min and the second phase:15-40 min after injection).Administration of SO extract before formalin test showed significant(P < 0.05) decrease of pain response in the second phase.Administration of vincristine caused significant(P < 0.05) increase in the second phase of pain response.Injections of SO extract and vincristine showed that SO significantly(P < 0.05) decrease the second phase of vincristine-induced pain.Morphine decreased vincristine-induced pain in the first and second phase of formalin test significantly(P < 0.05).In comparison,morphine showed analgesic effects in the first phase and SO extract showed significant(P < 0.05) anti-inflammatory effects in the second phase of formalin test.CONCLUSION:Both SO and vincristine showed analgesic and painful neuropathic effects,suggesting that SO extract could be useful in the treatment of vincristine-induced peripheral neuropathic pain.Ali Namvaran Abbas Abad Mir Hadi Khayate Nouri Farzaneh Tavakkoli 2011中国天然药物2011,9,5:3
15Impact of the Travelling Magnetic Field on the Metallic Impurities During the Crystallization of Photovoltaic Silicon显示文摘Silicon is the most extensively studied semiconductor mainly owing to its wide applicability in the photovoltaic solar cell industry.However the qualily of Si photovoltaic cells depends on the purity of the material and on the grain structure of the ingot from which the wafers are cutting.The electrical performance of such materials,i.e.mainly their minority carrier lifetime,is closely related to metal impurities present in the feedstock or introduced during crystal growth.These impurities strongly interact with existing crystal defects to form complexes,accumulate at dislocations or grain boundaries in different forms,or even form silieide precipitates,which simultaneously contain several metal impurities.In such a context,it is necessary to control the segregation of impurities especially metallic in the grown ingot in order to optimize the cell properties as a function of the raw material purity.A new Bridgman set-up is developed in order to study the crystallization of photovoltaic Si under independently controlled solidification parameters growth rate,thermal gradient,purity and convection.Convection,either natural or forced,plays a very important role during the crystallization.Its intensity and flow pattern affect heat and mass transfer and,consequently,macrostructure and segregation in a solidified ingot.Here the convection can be controlled by a travelling magnetic field in order to homogenize or segregate the rejected impurities such as metallic elements.The effects of the magnetic field intensity and frequency on the segregation and crystalline structure will be presented.Kader Zaidat Mircea Cablea Abdallah Nouri Ghatfan Hassan Bachir Saadi Olga.Budenkova Annie.Gagnoud Yves.Delannoy 2012Journal of Iron and Steel Research(International)2012,19,S1:2
16Effects of Yttrium Addition on Microstructure, Hardness and Resistance to Wear and Corrosive Wear of TiNi Alloy显示文摘TiNi alloy has a high resistance to wear and could be an excellent candidate for various tribological applications. In this paper, it was demonstrated that by addition of yttrium, hardness properties and resistance to wear and corrosive wear of TiNi alloy were improved. New yttrium rich regions were formed in microstructure of TiNi alloy. The improved properties of this alloy by the yttrium addition could be attributed to the formation of these regions. 17Second Order Sliding Mode Control for Discrete Decouplable Multivariable Systems via Input-output Models显示文摘The problem of the chattering phenomenon is still the main drawback of the classical sliding mode control. To resolve this problem, a discrete second order sliding mode control via input-output model is proposed in this paper. The proposed control law is synthesized for decouplable multivariable systems. A robustness analysis of the proposed discrete second order sliding mode control is carried out. 18Effect of Surface Treatment and Metallic Coating on Corrosion Behavior and Biocompatibility of Surgical 316L Stainless Steel Implant显示文摘Surface engineering technology is a suitable method for coatings on the metal surfaces or performing surface modification treatment,which can improve corrosion resistance and biocompatibility of metals.In this research,corrosion behavior of Nb coating on H 2 SO 4 and HNO 3 treated AISI stainless steel 316L (SS) was evaluated.Nb coating was carried out using physical vapor deposition process on the SS.Characterization techniques including scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) technique were used to investigate the microstructure and morphology of the coated and treated SS.Electrochemical potentiodynamic tests were performed in two types of physiological solutions and compared with the pristine SS specimens.Cyclic polarization tests were performed to evaluate resistivity against pitting.Experimental results indicate that Nb coating and surface treatment of the SS had a positive effect on improvement of corrosion behavior.The decrease in corrosion current densities was significant for coated and treated specimens.The corrosion current density was much lower than the values obtained for pristine specimens.Ali Parsapour Saied Nouri Khorasani Mohammad Hossein Fathi 2012Journal of Materials Science & Technology2012,28,2:2
19ELECTROSPINNING OF CYCLODEXTRIN FUNCTIONALIZED CHITOSAN/PVA NANOFIBERS AS A DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEM显示文摘A new type of nanofibrous structure from chitosan bearing carboxymethyl--cyclodextrin(CS-g--CD) as a novel drug delivery system was synthesized by grafting carboxymethyl--cyclodextrin(CM-CD) onto chitosan(CS) in the presence of water soluble 1-ethyl-3-(3-dimethylaminopropyl) carbodiimide(EDC) as the condensing agent and N-hydroxysuccinimide(NHS). Defect free mats containing CS-g--CD have been fabricated using electrospinning of an aqueous solution of poly(vinyl alcohol)(PVA)/CS-g--CD blends. The morphology and diameter of the electrospun nanofibers were examined by scanning electron microscopy(SEM). The average fiber diameter was in the range of 130 210 nm. SEM images showed that the morphology and diameter of the nanofibers were mainly affected by weight ratio of the blend at constant applied voltage. The results revealed that increasing CS-g--CD content in the blends decreases the average fiber diameter.
