1Controversy of hand-assisted laparoscopic colorectal surgery显示文摘Laparoscopically assisted colorectal procedures are time-consuming and technically demanding and hence have a long steep learning curve. In the technical demand, surgeons need to handle a long mobile organ, the colon, and have to operate on multiple abdominal quadrants, most of the time with the need to secure multiple mesenteric vessels. Therefore, a new surgical innovation called hand-assisted laparoscopic surgery (HALS) was introduced in the mid 1990s as a useful alternative to totally laparoscopic procedures. This hybrid operation allows the surgeon to introduce the non-dominant hand into the abdominal cavity through a special hand port while maintaining the pneumoperitoneum. A hand in the abdomen can restore the tactile sensation which is usually lacking in laparoscopic procedures. It also improves the eye-to-hand coordination, allows the hand to be used for blunt dissection or retraction and also permits rapid control of unexpected bleeding. All of those factors can contribute tremendously to reducing the operative time. Moreover, this procedure is also considered as a hybrid procedure that combines the advantages of both minimally invasive and conventional open surgery. Nevertheless, the exact role of HALS in colorectal surgery has not been well defined during the advanced totally laparoscopic procedures. 2Update on the management of gastrointestinal varices显示文摘Cirrhosis of liver is a major problem in the western world. Portal hypertension is a complication of cirrhosis and can lead to a myriad of pathology of which include the development of porto-systemic collaterals. Gastrointestinal varices are dilated submucosal veins, which often develop at sites near the formation of gastroesophageal collateral circulation. The incidence of varices is on the rise due to alcohol and obesity. The most significant complication of portal hypertension is life-threatening bleeding from gastrointestinal varices, which is associated with substantial morbidity and mortality. In addition, this can cause a significant burden on the health care facility. Gastrointestinal varices can happen in esophagus, stomach or ectopic varices. There has been considerable progress made in the understanding of the natural history, pathophysiology and etiology of portal hypertension. Despite the development of endoscopic and medical treatments, early mortality due to variceal bleeding remains high due to significant illness of the patient. Recurrent variceal bleed is common and in some cases, there is refractory variceal bleed. This article aims to provide a comprehensive review of the management of gastrointestinal varices with an emphasis on endoscopic interventions, strategies to handle refractory variceal bleed and newer endoscopic treatment modalities. Among various abiotic factors affecting plant photosynthesis, light serves as an important factor that drives carbon metabolism in plants and supports life on earth. The two components of light(light quality and light intensity) greatly affect plant photosynthesis and other plant's morphological, physiological and biochemical parameters. The response of plants to different spectral radiations and intensities differs in various species and also depends on growing conditions. To date, much research has been conducted regarding how different spectral radiations of varying intensity can affect plant growth and development. 5Nitrogen in Relation to Photosynthetic Capacity and Accumulation of Osmoprotectant and Nutrients in Brassica Genotypes Grown Under Salt Stress显示文摘Different strategies of the application of nutrients are required to overcome the adverse effects of mustard (Brassica juncea L.) in response to NaCl stress. The objective of the present study was to determine if different added levels of nitrogen (N) in growth medium could alleviate the adverse effects of salt stress on photosynthetic capacity and accumulation of osmoprotectants and nutrients. 14 days mustard seedlings of salt-sensitive (cv. Chuutki) and salt-tolerant (cv. Radha) genotypes were fed with: (i) 0 mmol L-1 NaCl + 0 mg N kg-1 sand (control), (ii) 90 mmol L-1 NaCl + 30 mg N kg-1 sand, (iii) 90 mmol L-1 NaCl + 60 mg N kg-1 sand, (iv) 90 mmol L-1 NaCl + 90 mg N kg-1 sand and (v) 90 mmol L-1 NaCl + 120 mg N kg-1 sand. Under the condition of salinity stress, N application caused a significant ameliorative effect on both genotypes with respect to growth attributes [fresh weight (FW) and dry weight (DW)] and physio-biochemical parameters [percent water content (WC), net photosynthetic rate (PN), stomatal conductance (gs), total chlorophyll (Chl), carbonic anhydrase (CA) activity and malondialdehyde (MDA), nitrogen (N), potassium (K) and sodium (Na) contents, and K/Na ratio] and yield attributes (number of pods/plant, seeds/pod and seed yield/plant). The salt-tolerant genotype exhibited maximum value for growth, physio-biochemical and yield attributes at 60 mg N kg-1 sand than that of salt-sensitive genotype. 6裂缝性致密油藏水驱动态渗吸特征实验研究——以鄂尔多斯盆地富县地区长8储层为例显示文摘以鄂尔多斯盆地富县地区长8致密砂岩样品为研究对象,在岩心润湿性与孔隙微观结构剖析的基础上,研究了渗透率与水驱速度对裂缝性致密岩心样品动态渗吸采出程度的影响规律。实验结果表明:长8岩心属弱亲水砂岩,不同渗透率样品的孔隙尺寸分布范围(亚微米-微米级)属同一量级,峰值尺寸差异不大,但岩心渗透率越高,三维孔喉连通性越强;水驱速度相同时,受岩石孔隙连通性的影响,裂缝性岩心动态渗吸采出程度与基质渗透率正相关;水驱速度不同时,基质渗透率越高,裂缝系统内黏滞阻力越高,对应的最优水驱速度越高;对于裂缝性致密砂岩油藏而言,应选择合理的水驱速度,裂缝系统内水驱速度过快时,将抑制基质系统的逆向渗吸作用,从而大大降低动态渗吸采出程度,使得注入水无效、低效循环。谷潇雨 王朝明 蒲春生 景成 何延龙 黄飞飞 Nasir Khan 陆雷超 2018西安石油大学学报(自然科学版)2018,33,3:13

8黏虫热休克蛋白Hsp90基因的克隆及不同温度对其诱导反应显示文摘热休克蛋白是昆虫体内一种很重要的抗逆蛋白,Hsp90是热休克蛋白家族中的重要成员。本试验利用高通量测序法获得Hsp90的c DNA的全长序列,通过Real-time PCR探讨黏虫各龄期、组织和黏虫3龄幼虫受到不同高、低温胁迫不同时间的Hsp90基因的相对表达量。在黏虫体内得到Hsp90的c DNA全长序列(Gen Bank登录号MF773751)2422 bp,命名为Ms Hsp90,编码717个氨基酸,分子量约为82.576 ku,等电点是4.98,序列包含有Hsp90的保守序列,与鳞翅目夜蛾科的甜菜夜蛾、苜蓿夜蛾、斜纹夜蛾亲缘关系较近,且氨基酸序列相似性都在98%以上。Real-time PCR结果显示黏虫的不同发育阶段和组织中均有Ms Hsp90表达,其中2龄幼虫和后肠的相对表达量最高。40℃处理6 h的相对表达量最高,处理12、24、48 h时,20℃的相对表达量最高。上述分析可知,Ms Hsp90相对表达量的高低表明在黏虫不同组织,不同发育阶段和不同时间、温度处理中发挥的作用存在差异。杨静 Nasir Ali Baloch 樊东 2017中国生物防治学报2017,33,5:11
9Strategies to improve aerobic granular sludge stability and nitrogen removal based on feeding mode and substrate显示文摘A systemic strategy was proposed to improve aerobic granular sludge(AGS)stability and nitrogen(N)removal efficiency by optimizing feeding mode and substrate aiming at complicated wastewater characteristics.Key functional groups at the genus level identified by high-throughput sequencing were evaluated as well.The results showed that anaerobic feeding mode and acetate promoted the compact AGS formation with excellent total nitrogen(TN)removal efficiency(averaging 91.7%±4.1%)at various dissolved oxygen conditions.While the aerobic feeding mode led to a loose AGS structure with a vulnerable anaerobic core and poor TN removal efficiency(averaging58.8%±7.4%).Simultaneous nitrification and denitrification process played the dominant role in N removal in compact AGS over the alternating nitrification and denitrification process.High-concentration glucose undermined feast-famine condition with filamentous bacteria growth out of granule and decreased TN removal efficiency to 67.3%±15.2%.Lower food to microorganism ratio may result in a lower N removal rate attributed to the sharply increased biomass concentration fed by glucose.Ammonia-oxidizing bacteria,nitrite-oxidizing bacteria,denitrifying bacteria,and denitrifying phosphorus accumulation organisms enriched during AGS granulation also contributed to the efficient N removal.The proposed strategy provided insights into the relationship between various factors and stable AGS formation,and systemic operation methods for various complicated wastewater treatment.Quan Yuan Hui Gong Hao Xi Heng Xu Zhengyu Jin Nasir Ali Kaijun Wang 2019Journal of Environmental Sciences2019,31,10:10
10Vascular endothelial growth factor trap-eye(Aflibercept) for the management of diabetic macular edema显示文摘Diabetic retinopathy(DR)is the most common cause of visual loss among working age individuals.Diabetic macular edema(DME)is an important complication of DR that affects around one third of the patients with DR.Several treatments have been approved for DME ranging from blood pressure and glycemic control to photocoagulation and more recently the use of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)antagonists.The index review discusses aflibercept(EYLEA-Regeneron Pharmaceuticals,Inc.,Tarrytown,New York,NY,and Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals,Berlin,Germany)in the context of other VEGF antagonists currently available for the treatment of DME.A systematic search of literature was conducted on PubMed,Scopus,and Google Scholar with no limitation on language or year of publication.Pre-clinical studies of aflibercept have shown a higher affinity of this molecule for vascular endothelial growth factor A(VEGF-A)along with a longer duration of action as compared to other VEGF antagonists.Recent clinical trials have shown visual outcome results for aflibercept to be similarly favorable as compared to other available agents with the added benefit of fewer required injections and less frequent monitoring.Aflibercept presents a potential exciting new addition to the armamentarium of current VEGF antagonists available for the treatment of DME and other retinal vascular diseases.However,further studies are indicated to confirm the role,safety,and efficacy of aflibercept for DME.Ahmadreza Moradi Yasir Jamal Sepah Mohammad Ali Sadiq Humzah Nasir Salima Kherani Raafay Sophie Diana V Do Quan Dong Nguyen 2013World Journal of Diabetes2013,4,6:8

12Effect of Salt Stress on Photosynthetic GasExchange and Chlorophyll FluorescenceParameters in Alhagi pseudalhagi显示文摘Soil salinity is one of the most important environmental factors limiting plant growth and productivity in many regions in the world. Salt stress directly affects plant photosynthesis, which is an important physiological process to limit plant growth and crop yield. But the effects of salt stress on the mechanism of the photosynthesis is still not clear. In this experiment, the salt tolerant plant Alhagi pseudalhagi was selected as the experiment material, and the salt sensitive plant Vigna radiata as the control, to explore the effects of salt stress on photosynthetic parameters of A. pseudalhagi. Plants were grown in a greenhouse,cultured with 1/2 Hoagland nutrient solution, treated by 0(control), 50, 100 or 200 s of mmol/L of NaCl solution for 12 d. Then,the chlorophyll contents, gas exchange parameters and chlorophyll a fluorescence in each treatment were measured. The results showed that under the salt stress simulated by 50 mmol/L NaCl, the net photosynthetic rate(Pn) and stomatal conductance(gs)of A. pseudalhagi were significantly increased compared with the control, while intercellular CO_2 concentration(Ci) was significantly decreased, Fv'/Fm', Fv/Fm and Fv/Fo were increased over time, but had no significant differences with the control ФPSⅡ,ETR and qP were significantly increased, and NPQ was significantly decreased. Under the salt stress simulated by 100 and 200mmol/L NaCl, Fv'/Fm', Fv/Fm, Fv/Fo, ФPSⅡ and qP of A. pseudalhagi were gradually decreased over time. 13Atomic-Scale Layer-by-Layer Deposition of Fe SiAl@ZnO@Al_(2)O_(3) Hybrid with Threshold Anti-Corrosion and Ultra-High Microwave Absorption Properties in Low-Frequency Bands显示文摘Developing highly efficient magnetic microwave absorb-ers(MAs)is crucial,and yet challenging for anti-corrosion properties in extremely humid and salt-induced foggy environments.Herein,a dual-oxide shell of ZnO/Al_(2)O_(3) as a robust barrier to FeSiAl core is introduced to mitigate corrosion resistance.The FeSiAl@ZnO@Al_(2)O_(3) layer by layer hybrid structure is realized with atomic-scale precision through the atomic layer deposition technique.Owing to the unique hybrid structure,the FeSiAl@ZnO@Al_(2)O_(3) exhibits record-high micro-wave absorbing performance in low-frequency bands covering L and S bands with a minimum reflection loss(RLmin)of-50.6 dB at 3.4 GHz.Compared with pure FeSiAl(RLmin of-13.5 dB,a bandwidth of 0.5 GHz),the RLmin value and effective bandwidth of this designed novel absorber increased up to~3.7 and~3 times,respectively.Fur-thermore,the inert ceramic dual-shells have improved 9.0 times the anti-corrosion property of FeSiAl core by multistage barriers towards corrosive medium and obstruction of the electric circuit.This is attributed to the large charge transfer resistance,increased impedance modulus|Z|0.01 Hz,and frequency time constant of FeSiAl@ZnO@Al_(2)O_(3).The research demonstrates a promising platform toward the design of next-generation MAs with improved anti-corrosion properties.Wei Tian Jinyao Li Yifan Liu Rashad Ali Yang Guo Longjiang Deng Nasir Mahmood Xian Jian 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,10:6

15香蕉组织培养过程中内生菌污染的控制(英文)显示文摘研究了体外培养一种孟加拉传统香蕉(Musa spp.Cv.Kanthali)的茎尖组织。茎尖的原始细胞表面经无菌处理(0.1%HgCl2处理12min),接种6~15d后外植体地下茎部分仍有微生物污染(大部分是细菌),杀死了85%的外植体。为确定无污染培养基,将等量外植体分别浸泡在舍400mg/L氨苄青霉素和200mg/L庆大霉素(两种光谱抗生素)的培养基中1h。结果表明,经抗生素处理的外植体完全没有污染,但培养3周后不能再生。进行二次继代培养后,其中一部分外植体吸收了培养基并胀大,颜色由苍白转变成浅绿或深绿。三次继代培养后数天,不再观察到外植体的生长,所有经抗生素处理过的外植体都开始死亡。在未经抗生素处理的活外植体中,单个茎发育的最佳培养基是:Ms+4.0mg/LBA+0.5mg/L KT+15%CW,平均生长时间为18~21d,但再生率很低,只有30%。茎细胞增殖的最佳培养基是:MS+4.0mg/L BA+2.0mg/L IAA+15%CW,每个茎平均只萌发3~4个芽。最后,在添加0.5mg/L IBA的一半浓度的MS培养基中,体外培养茎最大生根率达到90%。Soubir Titov Salil Kumar Bhowmik Md.Sadrul Alam Sarder Nasir Uddin 2007生物工程学报2007,23,6:6

17Effect of silica fume on the fresh and hardened properties of fly ash-based self-compacting geopolymer concrete显示文摘The effect of silica fume on the fresh and hardened properties of fly ash-based self-compacting geopolymer concrete(SCGC) was investigated in this paper.The work focused on the concrete mixes with a fixed water-to-geopolymer solid(W/Gs) ratio of 0.33 by mass and a constant total binder content of 400 kg/m3.The mass fractions of silica fume that replaced fly ash in this research were 0wt%,5wt%,10wt%,and 15wt%.The workability-related fresh properties of SCGC were assessed through slump flow,V-funnel,and L-box test methods.Hardened concrete tests were limited to compressive,splitting tensile and flexural strengths,all of which were measured at the age of 1,7,and 28 d after 48-h oven curing.The results indicate that the addition of silica fume as a partial replacement of fly ash results in the loss of workability;nevertheless,the mechanical properties of hardened SCGC are significantly improved by incorporating silica fume,especially up to 10wt%.Applying this percentage of silica fume results in 4.3% reduction in the slump flow;however,it increases the compressive strength by 6.9%,tensile strength by 12.8% and flexural strength by 11.5%.Fareed Ahmed Memon Muhd Fadhil Nuruddin Nasir Shafiq 2013International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2013,20,2:6
18Evaluation of kefir as a potential probiotic on growth performance,serum biochemistry and immune responses in broiler chicks显示文摘This experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of milk or molasses kefir as a probiotic on growth performance, carcass traits, serum biochemistry and humoral immune responses in broiler chickens. A total of 192 one-d-old as hatched broiler chicks(Ross 308) were randomly allotted to 4 treatments, each with 4 replicate pens of 12 chicks. The following treatments were applied: 1) a basal diet(C) and normal drinking water, 2) 2% milk kefir in drinking water, 3) 2% molasses kefir in drinking water, and 4) the diet C supplemented with commercial probiotic. At d 42, eight birds per treatment were killed for determination of carcass traits. Broilers at 28 days of age were bled for measuring antibody titers against Newcastle disease virus(NDV) and avian influenza virus(AIV), at 30 days of age for antibody titers against sheep red blood cell(SRBC), and at 42 days of age for biochemical analysis. Supplementing 2%milk kefir increased body weight of broilers at 28 and 42 days of age(P < 0.05). Supplementing 2%molasses kefir improved feed conversation ratio(FCR) of broilers during growth period(P < 0.05), but FCR of broilers in other periods was not affected. Daily feed intake, internal organ weights, and carcass traits were not influenced by the treatments except for small intestine and ceca length. Small intestinal length significantly decreased in broilers supplemented with milk and molasses kefir(P < 0.05). Molasses kefir supplementation significantly(P < 0.05) increased antibody titer against SRBC at 31 days of age but other immune related parameters were not statistically different among treatments. Biochemical parameters including serum protein, albumin, and triglyceride concentrations were not statistically(P> 0.05) influenced. Broilers supplemented with molasses kefir, had a significantly lower concentration of serum total cholesterol, low density lipoprotein cholesterol and elevated high density lipoprotein cholesterol at 42 days of age(P < 0.05). 19基于pH值调控的厌氧酸化产物分布及微生物群落特征研究显示文摘针对果蔬和餐厨垃圾等易降解有机固体废弃物厌氧消化过程的酸化问题,国内外学者通常采用两相厌氧工艺替代传统的单相厌氧工艺。为进一步提高两相厌氧工艺的高效性和稳定性,文章考察了不同pH值(4.0,5.0和6.0)条件下有机物厌氧酸化产物分布情况和调控效应;并对稳定形成的产酸微生物群落结构进行了分析。结果表明,pH值控制能明显提高反应器酸化率;pH值为5.0和6.0时反应器酸化率较高,其最高值均超过70%,前者酸化产物以乙醇、乳酸和乙酸为主,后者则出现有大量丙酸(约占总产酸量50%),因此,pH值控制为5.0有望作为有机物产酸相的优选条件。pH值为5.0时形成的优势水解酸化菌属主要有Lactobacillus(8.9%),Prevotella(32.0%),Bifidobacterium(22.4%),Clostridium(22.3%)和Sporolactobacillus(11.4%),且优势菌属的典型代谢途径与实验过程中产物分布特征具有很好的一致性。吴娟娟 徐恒 Nasir Ali 苑泉 黄博 于彩虹 王凯军 2018中国沼气2018,36,1:5
20Appendiceal mass:Is interval appendicectomy “something of the past” ?显示文摘The need for interval appendicectomy (I.A) after successful conservative management of appendiceal mass has recently been questioned.Furthermore,emergency appendicectomy for appendiceal mass is increasingly performed with equal success and safety to that performed in non-mass forming acute appendicitis.There is an increasing volume of evidence-although mostly retrospective-that if traditional conservative management is adopted,there is no need for routine I.A except for a small number of patients who continue to develop recurrent symptoms.On the other hand,the routine adoption of emergency laparoscopic appendicectomy (LA) in patients presenting with appendiceal mass obviates the need for a second admission and an operation for I.A with a considerable complication rate.It also abolishes misdiagnoses and deals promptly with any unexpected ileo-cecal pathology.Moreover,it may prove to be more cost-effective than conservative treatment even without I.A due to a much shorter hospital stay and a shorter period of intravenous antibiotic administration.If emergency LA is to become the standard of care for appendiceal mass,I.A will certainly become 'something' of the past.Abdul-Wahed Nasir Meshikhes 2011World Journal of Gastroenterology2011,17,25:5
