1Metal Fabrication by Additive Manufacturing Using Laser and Electron Beam Melting Technologies显示文摘Selective laser melting (SLM) and electron beam melting (EBM) are relatively new rapid, additive manufac- turing technologies which can allow for the fabrication of complex, multi-functional metal or alloy monoliths by CAD-directed, selective melting of precursor powder beds. By altering the beam parameters and scan strategies, new and unusual, even non-equilibrium microstructures can be produced; including controlled microstructural architectures which ideally extend the contemporary materials science and engineering paradigm relating structure-properties-processing-performance. In this study, comparative examples for SLM and EBM fabricated components from pre-alloyed, atomized precursor powders are presented. These include Cu, Ti–6Al–4V, alloy 625 (a Ni-base superalloy), a Co-base superalloy, and 17-4 PH stainless steel. 2土源性线虫感染对儿童生长发育影响及相关因素分析显示文摘目的了解中国西南贫困地区儿童土源性线虫感染现状,分析其对儿童生长发育的影响。方法在四川省和贵州省随机选取3个国家级贫困县,采用改良加藤厚涂片法对受检儿童粪便进行病原学检查并进行问卷调查。采用普通最小二乘法(OLS)分析土源性线虫感染情况、个体特征、饮食卫生习惯和家庭特征等相关因素对儿童身体质量指数(BMI)、身高和体重的影响。结果共粪检1 707名儿童,土源性线虫感染率为22.2%。OLS分析显示感染土源性线虫、性别、年龄、母亲受教育程度、饮用生水、饲养畜禽等6个因素差异均有统计学意义,并与儿童身高和体重存在负相关关系。结论中国西南农村贫困地区儿童感染土源性线虫与生长发育存在负相关关系。土源性线虫感染与母亲的文化程度密切相关。应加大力度控制儿童土源性线虫的感染。王晓兵 王国飞 张林秀 罗仁福 王聚君 Alexis Medina Karen Eggleston Scott Rozelle Scott Smith 2013中国血吸虫病防治杂志2013,25,3:18

4中国农村医生医疗服务质量的测量——基于标准化病人法的实验研究显示文摘过去十年中,中国政府在农村地区进行了一系列的医疗改革,这些改革极大地提高了医疗服务的可及性,但却很少关注医疗服务的质量。本文采用标准化病人法,测量和评估中国农村基层医疗服务的质量。我们招募样本地区的农民作为'标准化病人',培训他们稳定地展示小儿痢疾和心绞痛这两种常见疾病的症状。基于标准化病人在村卫生室的就诊案例,我们发现作为基层医疗服务第一线的村医可能无法给患者提供高质量的医疗服务。村医在诊断过程中仅完成了18%的建议问诊条目,诊断正确率仅为26%;在所有开具处方的病例中,有64%的药物是不必要的,甚至是有害的。进一步分析表明,医疗服务质量与医生的受教育水平和是否获得医疗资格证书密切相关。此外,我们发现农民患者并不能很好地识别出哪些医生是相对好的医生,这样的医患信息不对称的情况可能使村医更加缺乏提高医疗服务质量的激励。研究结果建议政府在投资硬件改善基层医疗服务设施的同时,应更加注重提高农村医生的诊断和治疗水平。史耀疆 薛浩 王欢 Sean Sylvia Alexis Medina Scott Rozelle 2016劳动经济研究2016,4,2:10
5Updates on the hepatocyte growth factor/c-Met axis in hepatocellular carcinoma and its therapeutic implications显示文摘Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) is the fifth most common cancer and is the second leading cause of cancer death. Since the diagnosis of HCC is difficult, in many cases patients with HCC are diagnosed advanced stage of development. Hepatocyte growth factor(HGF)/c-mesenchymal-epithelial transition receptor(c-Met) axis is a key signaling pathway in HCC, either via canonical or non-canonical pathways. Available treatments against HCC based upon HGF/c-Met inhibition can increase patient lifespan, but do not reach the expected therapeutic benefits. In HCC, c-Met monomers can bind other receptor monomers, activating several noncanonical signaling pathways, leading to increased cell proliferation, invasion, motility, and drug resistance. All of these processes are enhanced by the tumor microenvironment, with stromal cells contributing to boost tumor progression through oxidative stress, angiogenesis, lymphangiogenesis, inflammation, and fibrosis. Novel treatments against HCC are being explored to modulate other targets such as microR NAs, methyltransferases, and acetyltransferases, which are all involved in the regulation of gene expression in cancer. 7中国西南地区儿童土源性线虫感染及影响因素调查显示文摘目的了解中国西南贫困地区儿童土源性线虫感染情况和主要影响因素,为制定土源性线虫病防治措施提供依据。方法采用改良加藤厚涂片法对受检儿童粪便进行病原学检查,其中部分儿童进行透明胶纸肛拭法检查蛲虫卵。采用问卷调查和Probit估计多元统计方法,分析儿童服药驱虫、个体特征、饮食卫生习惯和家庭特征等16个相关因素对土源性线虫感染的影响。结果共粪检1 707名儿童,土源性线虫感染率为22.2%,其中蛔虫、钩虫、鞭虫感染率分别为16.9%、3.8%和6.6%,且以蛔虫感染率和感染度为最高;蛲虫检查495名,感染率为5.1%。Probit估计多元统计显示,兄弟姐妹数量、母亲受教育程度、饮用生水、饲养畜禽等4个因素差异均有统计学意义(P均<0.05)。其中,母亲受教育程度能降低土源性线虫感染率,边际效应为-0.074;兄弟姐妹数量、饮用生水和饲养畜禽均能提高土源性线虫感染率,边际效应分别为0.028、-0.112和0.080。结论我国西南贫困地区儿童土源性线虫感染率仍然较高,且以蛔虫感染为主;改变儿童饮用生水的不良卫生习惯、家庭饲养畜禽习惯和针对其母亲开展寄生虫病防治知识的健康教育,对儿童土源性线虫病的预防和控制具有重要意义。王晓兵 王国飞 张林秀 罗仁福 田洪春 唐丽娜 王聚君 Alexis Medina Paul Wise Scott Rozelle 2012中国血吸虫病防治杂志2012,24,3:10
8Update on hepatitis B and C virus diagnosis显示文摘Viral hepatitis B and C virus(HBV and HCV) are responsible for the most of chronic liver disease worldwide and are transmitted by parenteral route, sexual and vertical transmission. One important measure to reduce the burden of these infections is the diagnosis of acute and chronic cases of HBV and HCV. In order to provide an effective diagnosis and monitoring of antiviral treatment, it is important to choose sensitive, rapid, inexpensive, and robust analytical methods. Primary diagnosis of HBV and HCV infection is made by using serological tests for detecting antigens and antibodies against these viruses. In order to confirm primary diagnosis, to quantify viral load, to determine genotypes and resistance mutants for antiviral treatment, qualitative and quantitative molecular tests are used. 9Attenuation of dextran sodium sulphate induced colitis in matrix metalloproteinase-9 deficient mice显示文摘AIM: To study whether matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) is a key factor in epithelial damage in the dextran sodium sulphate (DSS) model of colitis in mice.METHODS: MMP-9-deficient and wild-type (wt) mice were given 5% DSS in drinking water for 5 d followed by recovery up to 7 d. On d 5 and 12 after induction of colitis, gelatinases, MMP-2 and MMP-9, were measured in homogenates of colonic tissue by zymography and Western blot, whereas tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases (TIMPs) were measured by reverse zymography. The gelatinolytic activity was also determined in supernatants of polymorphonuclear leukocytes (PMN) isolated from mice blood. Moreover, intestinal epithelial cells were stimulated with TNF-α to study whether these cells were able to produce MMPs. Finally, colonic mucosal lesions were measured by microscopic examination. RESULTS: On d 5 of colitis, the activity of MMP-9 was increased in homogenates of colonic tissues (0.24 ± 0.1 vs 21.3 ± 6.4, P < 0.05) and PMN from peripheral blood in wt (0.5 ± 0.1 vs 10.4 ± 0.7, P < 0.05), but not in MMP-9-deficient animals. The MMP-9 activity was also up-regulated by TNF-α in epithelial intestinal cells (2.5 ± 0.5 vs 14.7 ± 3.0, P < 0.05). Although colitis also led to increase of TIMP-1 activity, the MMP-9/TIMP-1 balance remained elevated. Finally, in the MMP-9-deficient colitic mice both the extent and severity of intestinal epithelialinjury were significantly attenuated when compared with wt mice. CONCLUSION: We conclude that DSS induced colitis is markedly attenuated in animals lacking MMP-9. 10Renal sympathetic nervous system and the effects of denervation on renal arteries显示文摘Resistant hypertension is associated with chronic activation of the sympathetic nervous system resulting in various comorbidities. The prevalence of resistant hypertension is often under estimated due to various reasons. Activation of sympathetic nervous system at the renal-as well as systemic-level contributes to the increased level of catecholamines and resulting increase in the blood pressure. This increased activity was demonstrated by increased muscle sympathetic nerve activity and renal and total body noradrenaline spillover. Apart from the hypertension, it is hypothesized to be associated with insulin resistance, congestive heart failure and obstructive sleep apnea. Renal denervation is a novel procedure where the sympathetic afferent and efferent activity is reduced by various techniques and has been used successfully to treat drug-resistant hypertension improvement of various metabolic derangements.Renal denervation has the unique advantage of offering the denervation at the renal level, thus mitigating the systemic side effects. Renal denervation can be done by various techniques including radiofrequency ablation, ultrasound guided ablation and chemical ablation. Various trials evaluated the role of renal denervation in the management of resistant hypertension and have found promising results. More studies are underway to evaluate the role of renal denervation in patients presenting with resistant hypertension in different scenarios. 12西南两省贫困地区儿童土源性线虫感染状况及影响因素分析显示文摘目的:了解四川和贵州省贫困地区儿童土源性线虫感染情况及其主要影响因素,为制定土源性线虫病防治策略提供依据。方法采用分层随机抽样,选择贵州和四川两省6个贫困县的95个行政村及46所小学为调查点,每个样本村各选择11名3~5岁学龄前儿童及8~10岁就读于样本学校的儿童作为调查对象,收集其粪便,采用改良加藤厚涂片法进行检查。同时对各村村医和村干部进行问卷调查,了解该村2009年儿童驱虫情况及社会经济和卫生状况;采用Tobit估计多元统计方法分析儿童土源性线虫感染的影响因素。结果两省共粪检1707名儿童,贵州省样本村儿童土源性线虫感染率为46.1%,蛔虫、钩虫、鞭虫感染率分别为31.1%、4.1%、10.8%;四川省样本村儿童土源性线虫感染率为9.8%,上述3种寄生虫感染率分别为3.6%、3.5%、2.7%。两省共粪检890名学龄儿童,贵州省样本学校儿童土源性线虫和蛔虫、钩虫、鞭虫感染率分别为53.8%、32.7%、6.6%、14.4%,四川省分别为7.3%、2.2%、2.9%、2.2%。Tobit估计分析显示,儿童驱虫治疗和村水田比例是儿童土源性线虫感染的影响因素(P均<0.05)。结论我国西南贫困地区儿童土源性线虫感染率仍然较高。为有效降低贫困地区儿童的土源性线虫感染率,除构建长效驱虫工作机制和采取改水、改厕等措施外,还应加强健康教育,并将驱虫防治纳入新型农村合作医疗体系。王晓兵 张林秀 王国飞 罗仁福 Alexis Medina Scott Rozelle 2014中国血吸虫病防治杂志2014,26,3:7
13Intestinal bile acid physiology and pathophysiology显示文摘Bile acids (BAs) have a long established role in fat digestion in the intestine by acting as tensioactives, due to their amphipatic characteristics. BAs are reabsorbed very efficiently by the intestinal epithelium and recycled back to the liver via transport mechanisms that have been largely elucidated. The transport and synthesis of BAs are tightly regulated in part by specific plasma membrane receptors and nuclear receptors. In addition to their primary effect, BAs have been claimed to play a role in gastrointestinal cancer, intestinal inflammation and intestinal ionic transport. BAs are not equivalent in any of these biological activities, and structural requirements have been generally identified. In particular, some BAs may be useful for cancer chemoprevention and perhaps in inflammatory bowel disease, although further research is necessary in this field. 16Performance Improvement of Artificial Neural Network Model in Short-term Forecasting of Wind Farm Power Output显示文摘Due to the low dispatchability of wind power,the massive integration of this energy source in power systems requires short-term and very short-term wind power output forecasting models to be as efficient and stable as possible.A study is conducted in the present paper of potential improvements to the performance of artificial neural network(ANN)models in terms of efficiency and stability.Generally,current ANN models have been developed by considering exclusively the meteorological information of the wind farm reference station,in addition to selecting a fixed number of time periods prior to the forecasting.In this respect,new ANN models are proposed in this paper,which are developed by:varying the number of prior 1-h periods(periods prior to the forecasting hour)chosen for the input layer parameters;and/or incorporating in the input layer data from a second weather station in addition to the wind farm reference station.It has been found that the model performance is always improved when data from a second weather station are incorporated.The mean absolute relative error(MARE)of the new models is reduced by up to 7.5%.Furthermore,the longer the forecasting horizon,the greater the degree of improvement.Sergio Velázquez Medina Ulises Portero Ajenjo 2020Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2020,8,3:6
17Imaging of the temporomandibular joint: An update显示文摘Imaging of the temporomandibular joint(TMJ) is continuously evolving with advancement of imaging technologies. Many different imaging modalities are currently used to evaluate the TMJ. Magnetic resonance imaging is commonly used for evaluation of the TMJ due to its superior contrast resolution and its ability to acquire dynamic imaging for demonstration of the functionality of the joint. Computed tomography and ultrasound imaging have specific indication in imaging of the TMJ. This article focuses on state of the art imaging of the temporomandibular joint. Relevant normal anatomy and biomechanics of movement of the TMJ are discussed for better understanding of many TMJ pathologies. Imaging of internal derangements is discussed in detail.
