| 1 | Mesozoic subduction-accretion zone in northeastern South China Sea inferred from geophysical interpretations显示文摘A segment of Mesozoic subduction-accretion zone was inferred across the northeastern South China Sea at approximately NE45° orientation. Basic evidence includes the following: A belt of peek gross horizontal Bouguer gravity gradient (PGHGBA) is comparable in size and intensity to that of the Manila subduction-accretion zone. A belt of high positive magnetic anomalies appears to the north and sub-parallel to the PGHGBA, representing the volcanic arc associated to the subduction zone. The PGHGBA crosses obliquely both Cenozoic structures and present seafloor topography, indicating a pre-Cenozoic age. The segment is offset left-laterally by NW-running strike-slip faults, in concord with the Mesozoic stress field of South China. In addition, the existence of the subduction zone is supported by wide-angle seismic data obtained in different years by different institutions. At approximate localities, a north-dipping ramp of Moho surface is indicated by records of ocean-bottom seismometers, and a strong reflector about 8 km beneath the Moho reflector is indicated by both OBS and long-cable seismic records. The identification of a segment of Mesozoic subduction zone in NE South China Sea fills nicely the gap of the Great Late Mesozoic Circum SE Asia Subduction-acrretion Zone, which extended from Sumatra, Java, SE Kalimantan to N Palawan, and from Taiwan, Ryukyu to SW Japan. | ZHOU Di1, WANG Wanyin2, WANG Jialin3, PANG Xiong4, CAI Dongsheng5 & SUN Zhen1 1. | 2 | Structural characteristics of the Tan-Lu fault zone in Cenozoic basins offshore the Bohai Sea显示文摘The Tan-Lu fault zone across the eastern margin of the Cenozoic basins offshore the Bohai Sea is a NNE-trending right-lateral strike-slip fault system developed in the Cenozoic basin cover. It cuts through NE-to NNE-striking major extensional faults that controlled the formation of Paleogene basins. Recent petroleum exploration indicates that Cenozoic structural activities of the Tan-Lu fault system have directly or indirectly affected oil and gas distribution offshore the Bohai Sea. As part of a deep fault zone the Tan-Lu fault zone has been activated since the Oligocene, and obviously affected the tectonic evolution of offshore Bohai basins since then. The formation of Paleogene rift basins offshore the Bohai Sea has utilized the pre-existing structural elements of the Tan-Lu fault zone that developed in the late Mesozoic. | QI JiaFu1,2,ZHOU XinHuai3,DENG RongJing4 & ZHANG KeXin2 1 State Key Laboratory of Petroleum Resource and Prospecting,China Petroleum University,Beijing 102249,China 2 Department of Earth Sciences,China Petroleum University,Beijing 102200,China 3 Tianjin Branch of CNOOC China Limited,Tianjin 300451,China 4 Beijing Research Center of CNOOC China Limited,Beijing100027,China | 2008 | Science China Earth Sciences2008,51,S2: | 33 |
| 3 | Structural characteristics and petroliferous features of Tarim Basin显示文摘Using the modern tectonic geology theories andmethods such as the plate tectonic analysis, the paleo-struc-ture analysis, the structural-Iithofacies analysis, and the faultrelated fold and petroleum system, and combining with theseismic data, well drilling data and the circumferential fieldgeology, study on the structural characteristics and petro-leum prospect in the Tarim Basin has been carried out. Re-sults show that the Tarim Basin is a large superimpositionand combination basin with continental crustal basement, composed of a Paleozoic craton and Meso-Cenozoic forelandbasins. The characteristics of the basin are: the kernel partof the basin is the marine facies Paleozoic craton, superim-posed 4 continental facies foreland basins. Though the scaleof the paleozoic craton of the Tarim Basin is relatively small, the structure is steady. The petroleum prospect of the Paleo-zoic craton is: multiphase pool-generation and accumulationcontrolled by ancient uplift. The Meso-Cenozoic forelandbasins in the Tarim Basin, which are distributed on the era-tonic circumference and are a long-term subsidence, turnedinto rejuvenated foreland basins after the Meso-Cenozoicperiod. The petroleum prospects are: coal-bed generatinghydrocarbon, abundant natural gas, pool-generation in laterand recent periods, the oil and gas distribution controlled bythe foreland thrust belt. The structural characteristics ofTarim provide it with a superimposition and combinationpetroleum system of multiple resources, multiple reservoirsand multiphase pool-generation. The oil and gas explorationprospect covers two large fields: the Paleozoic craton and theMeso-Cenozoic foreland thrust belt. | JIA Chengzao~1 & WEI Guoqi~2 1. | 5 | Salt-related structural styles of Kuqa foreland fold belt, northern Tarim basin显示文摘The salt beds of Lower Tertiary developed in the mid-segment of Kuqa foreland fold belt, northern Tarim basin. They considerably controlled structural deformation of the belt. Ac- cording to the field observation, seismic profile interpretation and drilling data, three different structural styles of supra-salt, intra-salt and sub-salt occurred in the Kuqa foreland fold belt. Su- pra-salt structural styles mainly include thrust faults and fault-related sags. Intra-slat structural styles essentially are salt-pillows, intra-salt faults and folds, and salt weld structures. Sub-salt structural styles mainly consist of imbricated thrust faults, duplex structures, pop-up and fault-related folds. It is indicated that great differences exist among supra-salt, intra-salt and sub-salt structures of Kuqa foreland fold belt. The salt-related structures were formed in the same structural stress field. The dynamic mechanism of the salt-related structures is mainly associated with gravitation, compression and plastic flow of salt beds. | TANG Liangjie1,2, JIA Chengzao3, PI Xuejun4, CHEN Suping1,2, WANG Zhiyu5, XIE Huiwen4 1. | 6 | Mechanisms of Cenozoic deformation in the Bohai Basin, Northeast China: Physical modelling and discussions显示文摘The Bohai Basin is a Cenozoic petroliferous extensional basin in China and has apparent geometrical and kinematic similarities with the other Meso-Cenozoic extensional basins located along the eastern margin of Eurasian Plate. However, the deformation mechanisms of the basin are still in dispute. Physcial modelling referring to the Huanghua Depression, located in the central part of the Bohai Basin was conducted employing four sets of planar sandbox experimental models with different extension directions. Only experimental results of the model with N-S extension show good structural similarity with the depression. The results also indicate that complex variations of fault strike in a rift basin are not necessarily the results of complex kinematic mechanisms or polyphase deformation. Based on comparison of experimental results with the actual structures and the good structural simi- larity between Huanghua Depression and the whole Bohai Basin, it is concluded that the Bohai Basin was formed by the N-S extension. The strike slip deformation along the NNE-trending border faults of the basin resulted from the N-S extension and played the role of lateral transformation for the N-S extension. In addition, according to the apparent geometrical and kinematic similarities among the Bohai Basin and other Meso-Cenozoic extensional basins located along the eastern margin of the Eurasian Plate, it is proposed that: (1) this “N-S extension” model provides a better kinematic inter- pretation for the formation of Bohai Basin and the other adjacent basins located along the eastern margin of the Eurasian Plate; and (2) the N-S extension was probably the effect of the “slab window” formed by the subduction of the nearly E-W trending oceanic ridge between the Kula and Pacific Plates. The “slab window” effect can also provide reasonable explanations for the phenomena that initial rifting ages of basins become progressively younger westwards along the eastern margin of the Eurasian Plate and that these basins changed gradually from rifting to thermal subduction. | ZHOU Jianxun1 & ZHOU Jiansheng2 1. | 7 | Depositional sequence architecture and filling response model of the Cretaceous in the Kuqa depression, the Tarim basin显示文摘The Cretaceous system of the Kuqa depression is a regional scale (second order) depositional sequence defined by parallel unconformities or minor angular unconformities. It can be divided into four third-order sequence sets, eleven third-order sequences and tens of fourth- and fifth-order sequences. It consists generally of a regional depositional cycle from transgres-sion to regression and is composed of three sets of facies associations: alluvial-fluvial, braided river-deltaic and lacustrine-deltaic facies associations. They represent the lowstand, transgres-sive and highstand facies tracts within the second-order sequence. The tectonic subsidence curve reconstructed by backstripping technique revealed that the Cretaceous Kuqa depression underwent a subsidence history from early accelerated subsidence, middle rapid subsidence and final slower subsidence phases during the Cretaceous time, with the correspondent tectonic subsidence rates being 3035 m/Ma, 4045 m/Ma and 510 m/Ma obtained from northern foredeep. This is likely attributed to the foreland dynamic process from early thrust flexural sub-sidence to late stress relaxation and erosion rebound uplift. The entire sedimentary history and the development of the three facies tracts are a response to the basin subsidence process. The slower subsidence foreland gentle slope was a favorable setting for the formation of braided flu-vial deltaic systems during the late period of the Cretaceous, which comprise the important sandstone reservoirs in the depression. Sediment records of impermanent marine transgression were discovered in the Cretaceous and the major marine horizons are correctable to the high-stands of the global sea level during the period. | LIN Changsong1, WANG Qinghua2, XIAO Jianxin1, WANG Guolin2, LIU Jingyan1 & JI Yunlong1 1. | 8 | Poly-phase salt tectonics and hydrocarbon accumulation in Tarim superimposed basin, northwest China显示文摘The purpose of this paper is to discuss the poly-phase salt tectonics and its relation to the hydrocarbon accumulation of the Tarim superimposed basin. Several salt sequences are developed in the Tarim basin, they are: (1) the Mid-Early Cambrian salt sequence, mainly distributed in the west part of the north Tarim uplift and Keping uplift; (2) the Early Carboniferous salt sequence, mainly distributed in the south slope of the north Tarim uplift; (3) the Paleogene salt sequence, mainly distributed in the mid-west part of the Kuqa foreland fold belt and north Tarim uplift; and (4) the Miocene salt sequence, mainly distributed in the east part of the Kuqa foreland fold belt. The salt sequences deposited in the tectonically calm scenario, while the salt layers deformed during the period of intense tectonism. Although the salt sequences are characteristic of plastic flow, the differences of salt deformation styles exist in the different salt sequences be-cause of the different deformation mechanism. It is attractive that the distribution of the large oil-gas fields or pools has a bearing upon the salt sequences and salt structures, such as the Tahe oilfield related to the Lower Carboniferous salt sequence and laterally facies changed mudstone, the Kela No.2 gas field to the Paleogene salt structures, and the Dina gas field to the Miocene salt structures. It is indicated that the large-scale hydrocarbon accumulation is con-trolled by the poly-phase salt sequences and structures. The deep analysis of the poly-phase salt tectonics is helpful to understanding the characteristics of the structural deformation and oil-gas accumulation of the Tarim basin. | TANG Liangjie1,2, JIN Zhijun1’3, JIAChengzao1’4, Pl Xuejun5 & CHEN Suping1,2 1. | 9 | Induction of Angiogenesis and Neurogenesis by Serum from Rats Treated with Shunaoxin Dropping Pills显示文摘Objective Shunaoxin Dropping Pills(SDPs),a Chinese patent medicine, has been used widely in China for the treatment of headache, amnesia, and insomnia. The aim of the present study is to observe the effect of SDPs on inducing angiogenesis and neurogenesis in vitro. Methods The present testing system using the serum obtained from animals ig treated with SDPs and a co-culture system in vitro was used to investigate if SDPs promotes brain microvascular endothelial cells(BMECs)tube formation and neural differentiation of neural stem/progenitor cells(NSPCs),which plays important roles in angiogenesis and neurogenesis. Results The SDPs serum sampled from rats ig treated with SDPs for 3 d dose-dependently promoted the tube like structure formation of cultured BMECs,and enhanced the fraction of MAP-2 positive cells of NSPCs,which co-cultured with the BMECs and astrocyte. In addition, there was no significant change in the percentage of glial fibrillary acidic protein positive cells. Conclusion Our results show that SDPs serum can induce neural differentiation and BMECs tube formation in vitro. | ZHUANG Peng-wei1,JIANG Yong-bo1,ZHANG Yan-jun1,CUI Guang-zhi1,TONG Yong-ling2,YANG Xiao-hong3,JIANG Zhen1,LIU Li-hua2 1.Tianjin State Key Laboratory of Modern Chinese Medicine,Key Laboratory of Traditional Chinese Medicine Pharmacology,College of Chinese Materia Medica,Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,Tianjin 300193,China 2.Tianjin NO.6 Traditional Chinese Medicine Factory,Zhongxin Pharmaceuticals,Tianjin 300401,China 3.Tianjin Zhongxin Pharmaceutical Group Corporation Limited,Tianjin 300193,China | 2011 | Chinese Herbal Medicines2011,3,1: | 7 |
| 10 | Quantitative estimation of the shrub canopy LAI from atmosphere-corrected HJ-1 CCD data in Mu Us Sandland显示文摘The leaf area index(LAI) is an important ecological parameter that characterizes the interface between vegetation canopy and the atmosphere. In addition,it is used by most process-oriented ecosystem models. This paper investigates the potential of HJ-1 CCD data combined with linear spectral unmixing and an inverted geometric-optical model for the retrieval of the shrub LAI in Wushen Banner of Inner Mongolia in the Mu Us Sandland.MODTRAN(Moderate Resolution Atmospheric Radiance and Transmittance Model) was used for atmospheric correction.Shrubland was extracted using the threshold of the normalized difference vegetation index, with which water bodies and farmland were separated,in combination with a vegetation map of the People's Republic of China(1:1000000).Using the geometric-optical model,we derive the per-pixel reflectance as a simple linear combination of two components, namely sunlit background and other. The fraction of sunlit background is related to the shrub LAI.With the support of HJ-1 CCD data,we employ linear spectral unmixing to obtain the fraction of sunlit background in an atmospherically corrected HJ image. In addition,we use the measured shrub canopy structural parameters for shrub communities to invert the geometric-optical model and retrieve the pixel-based shrub LAI.In total,18 sample plots collected in Wushen Banner of Inner Mongolia are used for validation. The results of the shrub LAI show good agreement with R2 of 0.817 and a root-mean-squared error of 0.173. | CHEN Wei1,2,CAO ChunXiang1,HE QiSheng1,2,GUO HuaDong3,ZHANG Hao1,2,LI RenQiang4,ZHENG Sheng1,2,XU Min1,2,GAO MengXu1,2,ZHAO Jian1,2,LI Sha1,NI XiLiang1,2,JIA HuiCong1,JI Wei1,TIAN Rong1,2,LIU Cheng1,2,ZHAO YuXing5 & LI JingLu6 1 State Key Laboratory of Remote Sensing Science,Jointly Sponsored by the Institute of Remote Sensing Applications of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Beijing Normal University,Beijing 100101,China 2 Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences,Beijing 100049,China 3 Center for Earth Observation and Digital Earth,Chinese Academy of Sciences,Beijing 100190,China 4 China Key Laboratory of Ecological Network Observation and Modeling,Institute of Geographical Sciences and Natural Resources Research,Chinese Academy of Sciences,Beijing 100101,China 5 Ordos Forestry Sand Control Science Institute,Dongsheng 017000,China 6 Inner Mongolia Biomass Thermoelectricity Limited Company,Wushen 017300,China | 2010 | Science China Earth Sciences2010,53,S1: | 6 |

| 12 | PREPARING NANO-CRYSTALLINE La DOPED WC/Co POWDER BY HIGH ENERGY BALL MILLING显示文摘The La doped WC/Co powder was prepared by high energy ball milling. The changesof crystal structure, micrograph and defect of the powder were investigated by means ofXRD (X-ray diffraction), SEM (scanning electron microscope) and DTA (differentialthermal analysis). The results show that adding trace La element into carbides iseffective to minish the grain size of WC/Co powder. The La doped carbides powderwith grain size of 30nm can be obtained after 1Oh ball milling. The XRD peak of Cophase disappeared after 20h ball milling, which indicated solid solution (or secondarysolid solution) of Co phase in WC phase. The La doped powder with grain size of1Ohm is obtained after 30h ball milling. A peak of heat release at the temperatureof 470℃ was emerged in DTA curve within the range of heating temperature, whichshowed that the crystal structure relaxation of the powder appeared in the process ofhigh energy ball milling. After consolidated the La doped WC/Co alloy by high energyball milling exhibits ultra-fine grain Sizes and better mechanical properties. | S. Liu, D.Q. Yi, Y.X.
