1Spatio-temporal framework of tectonic uplift stages of the Tibetan Plateau in Cenozoic显示文摘Four intensive uplift periods, i.e., 60–35, 25–17 and 12–8 Ma (but 18–13 Ma in the Himalayas of the southern Tibet), and since about 5 Ma, can be determined on the Tibetan Plateau by synthetical analysis of low-temperature thermo-chronology data, sedimentary deposit records, and structural deformation records of different areas. The strong tectonic uplift periods in different areas on the Tibetan Plateau are penecontemporaneous, except for the Himalayan area of the southern Tibet, where a rapid uplift and exhumation period, controlled by the activity of the South Tibetan Detachment System faults, occurred during 18–13 Ma. These strong uplift and exhumation periods correspond well to intensive deformation activity periods, suggesting tectonically-controlled uplift and exhumation. The deposit records, such as the distribution of coarse clastic sediments, the distribution of tectonically-controlled basins, stratigraphic discontinuousness or unconformity, and fault-controlled geomorphologic evolution, also match well with the strong uplift and exhumation periods. 2Cenozoic sedimentary records and geochronological constraints of differential uplift of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau显示文摘Geological mapping data (1:250000) in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and its adjacent regions reveal the sediment sequences, distribution and tectonic evolution of the 92 Tertiary remnant basins. Southern Tibet and the Yecheng area in Xinjiang, located at southern and northwestern margins of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, respectively, were parts of the Neo-Tethys remnant sea in the Paleogene. In southern Tibet, both the subabyssal and abyssal sequences occur at the Gyangze, Saga, Guoyala, and Sangmai areas. The deep-water facies successions outcrop in the west, whereas the shallow-water facies sequences in the east, indicating the east to the west retreat of the Neo-Tethys Ocean. The retreat of the Neo-Tethys Ocean in the east was contributed to the earlier tectonic uplift of the eastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The uplift process of the Plateau from the Late Cretaceous to Pliocene is described as follows: During the Late Cretaceous, tectonic uplift of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau occurred in the northeastern part and the configuration of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau was characterized by rise in the northeast and depression in the west. In the Paleocene-Eocene interval, the Tengchong-Baingoin and Kuyake-Golmud areas experienced local tectonic uplifting, the West Kunlun uplift zone broadened easterly, the Qilian uplift zone broadened southerly, and the Songpan-Garzê uplift zone shrank easterly. The Oligocene configuration of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau was characterized by mountain chains rising along its margins and sedimentary basins in the central part because of tectonic uplifts of the Gangdisê and the Himalaya blocks. Meanwhile, the Kunlun-Altyn-Qilian uplift zones have also broadened southerly and northerly. In contrast, the great uplift zones of the Gangdisê, the Himalaya, the Karakorum, and the Kunlun blocks characterize the paleogeographic contours of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau during the Miocene-Pliocene. Additionally, the thermochronological data on tectonic uplift events in southern Tibet, West Kunlun Mountains, Altyn Tagh, eastern Tibet, and western Sichuan all suggest that the most intense deformation occurred at 13-8 Ma and since 5 Ma, respectively, corresponding to two great uplift periods in Neogene. As a result, turnover of paleogeographic configuration of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau occurred during the Neogene, experiencing a change from high contours in the east in the pre-Oligocene to high contours in the west at the end-Pliocene. 3Cenozoic uplift of the Tibetan Plateau:Evidence from the tectonic-sedimentary evolution of the western Qaidam Basin显示文摘Geologists agree that the collision of the Indian and Asian plates caused uplift of the Tibet Plateau.However,controversy still exists regarding the modes and mechanisms of the Tibetan Plateau uplift.Geology has recorded this uplift well in the Qaidam Basin.This paper analyzes the tectonic and sedimentary evolution of the western Qaidam Basin using sub-surface seismic and drill data. The Cenozoic intensity and history of deformation in the Qaidam Basin have been reconstructed based on the tectonic developments,faults growth index,sedimentary facies variations,and the migration of the depositional depressions.The changes in the sedimentary facies show that lakes in the western Qaidam Basin had gone from inflow to still water deposition to withdrawal.Tectonic movements controlled deposition in various depressions,and the depressions gradually shifted southeastward.In addition,the morphology of the surface structures in the western Qaidam Basin shows that the Cenozoic tectonic movements controlled the evolution of the Basin and divided it into(a) the southern fault terrace zone, (b) a central Yingxiongling orogenic belt,and(c) the northern fold-thrust belt;divided by the XI fault (Youshi fault) and Youbei fault,respectively.The field data indicate that the western Qaidam Basin formed in a Cenozoic compressive tectonic environment caused by the India—Asia plate collision. Further,the Basin experienced two phases of intensive tectonic deformation.The first phase occurred during the Middle Eocene—Early Miocene(Xia Ganchaigou Fm.and Shang Ganchaigou Fm.,43.8—22 Ma),and peaked in the Early Oligocene(Upper Xia Ganchaigou Fm.,31.5 Ma).The second phase occurred between the Middle Miocene and the Present(Shang Youshashan Fm.and Qigequan Fm., 14.9—0 Ma),and was stronger than the first phase.The tectonic—sedimentary evolution and the orientation of surface structures in the western Qaidam Basin resulted from the Tibetan Plateau uplift,and recorded the periodic northward growth of the Plateau.Recognizing this early tectonic—sedimentary evolution supports the previous conclusion that northern Tibet responded to the collision between India and Asia shortly after its initiation.However,the current results reveal that northern Tibet also experienced another phase of uplift during the late Neogene.The effects of these two stages of tectonic activity combined to produce the current Tibetan Plateau.Yadong Wang Jianjing Zheng Weilin Zhang Shiyuan Li Xingwang Liu Xin Yang Yuhu Liu 2012Geoscience Frontiers2012,3,2:23
4Theoretical and experimental investigation on bridge-borne noise under moving high-speed train显示文摘Bridge-borne noise pollution caused by train-induced bridge vibration has attracted more and more attentions due to its low-frequency characteristic.In order to investigate the numerical simulation technique of bridge-borne noise and noise reduction methods,a simply supported prestressed concrete (PC) box-girder bridge is adopted for study.Based on train-track-bridge interaction theory,the dynamic response of the bridge under a moving high-speed train is calculated in time-domain and assumed as the sound source of bridge-borne noise.Then bridge-borne noise is estimated according to boundary element method (BEM) in frequency-domain.The time-frequency transform is conducted by fast Fourier transformation (FFT).The validity of the numerical simulation technique is verified through comparison with field measurement results.Furthermore,noise reduction methods are proposed and corresponding effects are discussed.Results show that the proposed numerical simulation method is feasible and accurate in assessing bridge-borne noise.The dominant frequencies of bridge vibration and bridgeborne noise range from 40 Hz to125 Hz and from 31.5 Hz to 100 Hz,respectively.The peak frequency of bridge-borne noise near the bottom plate is 63 Hz.Increasing the thickness of deck plate,adjusting the inclination of webs to 0°-12°,strengthening the boundary constraints and adding a longitudinal clapboard are very effective noise control measures.ZHANG Xun LI XiaoZhen LIU QuanMin WU JinFeng LI YaDong 2013Science China(Technological Sciences)2013,56,4:20
5Application of General Shear Theory to the Study of Formation Mechanism of the Metamorphic Core Complex:A Case Study of Xiaoqinling in Central China显示文摘The kinematic vorticity number and strain of the mylonitic zone related to the detachment fault increase from ESE to WNW along the moving direction of the upper plate of the Xiaoqinling metamorphic core complex (XMCC) and the geometry of quartz c-axis fabrics changes progressively from crossed girdles to single girdles in the same direction. Therefore, pure shear is dominant in the ESE part of the XMCC while simple shear becomes increasingly important towards WNW. However, the shear type does not change with the strain across the shear zone, thus the variation of shear type is of significance in indicating the formation mechanism. The granitic plutons within the XMCC came from the deep source and their emplacement was an active and forceful upwelling prior to the detachment faulting. The PTt path demonstrates that magmatism is an important cause for the formation of the XMCC. The formation mechanism of the XMCC is supposed to be active plutonism and passive detachment. 6Permian–Triassic Conodonts from Dajiang(Guizhou, South China) and Their Implication for the Age of Microbialite Deposition in the Aftermath of the End-Permian Mass Extinction显示文摘The widespread microbialites deposition that followed the End-Permian mass extinction in the Tethyan realm have been intensively studied because of the evidence they provide on the nature of this crisis and its aftermath. However, the age of the microbialite event remains controversial. New conodont collection across the Permian–Triassic(P–T) transition from Dajiang(Guizhou Province, South China) in this study enable us to discriminate four conodont zones, in ascending order, they are: Hindeodus parvus zone, Isarcicella lobata zone, Isarcicella isarcica zone and Hindeodus sosioensis zone. The age of microbialite in the P–T transition at the Dajiang Section is considered to be within the Hindeodus parvus zone and thus to clearly post-date the main extinction crisis. Reviewing the age of onset of microbialites throughout the Tethyan regions reveals two different ages: a Hindeodus changxingensis zone age is dominant in south-western and westernmost Tethys, whilst most other regions show microbialite deposition began in the Hindeodus parvus zone. 9Au/LaVO_(4)Nanocomposite:Preparation,Characterization,and Catalytic Activity for CO Oxidation显示文摘The size of the gold particles is a very important parameter to get active catalysts.This paper reports a novel colloidal deposition method to prepare Au/LaVO_(4)nanocomposite catalyst with monodispersed Au colloids and uniform LaVO_(4)nanoplates in nonpolar solvent.Monodispersed Au colloids with tunable size(such as 2,5,7,11,13,and 16 nm)and LaVO_(4)nanocrystals with well-defi ned shapes were pre-synthesized assisted with oleic acid/amine.During the following immobilization process,the particle size and shape of Au and LaVO_(4)were nearly preserved.As-prepared Au/LaVO_(4)nanocomposite showed high catalytic activity for CO oxidation at room temperature.Since sizes of gold particles were well-defi ned before the immobilization process,size effect of gold particles was easy to be investigated and the results show that 5-nm Au/LaVO_(4)nanocomposite has the highest activity for CO oxidation.This synthetic method can be extended further for the preparation of other composite nanomaterials.Junfeng Liu Wei Chen Xiangwen Liu Kebin Zhou Yadong Li 2008Nano Research2008,1,1:16

11Applying CBR to Machine Tool Product Configuration Design Oriented to Customer Requirements显示文摘Product customization is a trend in the current market-oriented manufacturing environment. However, deduction from customer requirements to design results and evaluation of design alternatives are still heavily reliant on the designer's experience and knowledge. To solve the problem of fuzziness and uncertainty of customer requirements in product configuration, an analysis method based on the grey rough model is presented. The customer requirements can be converted into technical characteristics effectively. In addition, an optimization decision model for product planning is established to help the enterprises select the key technical characteristics under the constraints of cost and time to serve the customer to maximal satisfaction. A new case retrieval approach that combines the self-organizing map and fuzzy similarity priority ratio method is proposed in case-based design. The self-organizing map can reduce the retrieval range and increase the retrieval efficiency, and the fuzzy similarity priority ratio method can evaluate the similarity of cases comprehensively. To ensure that the final case has the best overall performance, an evaluation method of similar cases based on grey correlation analysis is proposed to evaluate similar cases to select the most suitable case. Furthermore, a computer-aided system is developed using MATLAB GUI to assist the product configuration design. The actual example and result on an ETC series machine tool product show that the proposed method is effective, rapid and accurate in the process of product configuration. 13Effect of moxa-burning heat stimulating Liangmen(ST 21) and Zusanli(ST 36) on proliferation and apoptosis signaling proteins in rats with stress-induced gastric ulcer显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of moxa-burning heat stimulating acupoints of Liangmen(ST 21)and Zusanli(ST 36) on the proliferation and apoptosis signaling proteins in rats with stress-induced gastric ulcer.METHODS: Forty rats were randomly divided into four groups: negative control(NC), ulcer control(UC), acupoints of stomach meridian(ASM), and acupoints control(AC). The acute gastric ulcer model was established by bound and water immersion.Rats in NC and UC groups didn't receive any moxa-burning heat stimulating treatment, while rats in ASM and AC groups were treated with buringmoxa heat stimulating the acupoints of Liangmen(ST 21) and Zusanli(ST 36) and their controlled points, respectively. Rats in all groups were sacrificed after 12 consecutive days treatment. The ulcer index was evaluated by using Guth's method.The expression of tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α), apoptotic protease activating facter-1(Apaf-1), Caspase-3, p21 activated kinase 1(PAK1),extracellular regulated protein kinases 2(ERK2),phosphorylated ERK2(p ERK2), phosphoinositide3-kinase(PI3K) and RAC-alpha serine/threonine-protein kinase(Akt) in gastric mucosa was detected by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).RESULTS: Compared with UC group, the ulcer index of ASM and AC groups decreased, and the injured gastric mucosa was improved, the expression of TNF-α, Apaf-1 and Caspase-3 in gastric mucosa was significantly reduced(P < 0.05), while the ex-pression of PAK1, ERK2, p ERK2, PI3 K and Akt in gastric mucosa was significantly increased(P < 0.05).And ASM showed better effect than AC group(P <0.05).CONCLUSION: Moxa-burning Heat stimulating of Liangmen(ST 21) and Zusanli(ST 36) could promote the recovery of gastric mucosal lesion probably by inhibiting cell apoptosis and promoting cell proliferation in stress-induced gastric ulcer.Peng Li Wang Yadong Chang Xiaorong Wu Huangan Liu Mi Ma Fuqiang Wang Hong Chen Jiaolong Wang Chao Quan Renfu Yang Zongbao 2016Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2016,36,3:9
14Early Ordovician strongly peraluminous granite in the middle section of the Yarlung Zangbo junction zone and its geological significance显示文摘LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb isotopic dating and rock geochemical analysis were done of the Xarru granite in the middle section of the Yarlung Zangbo junction zone.Zircon 206Pb/238U weighted mean ages of 474.9±2.3 and 478.3±1.7 Ma have been obtained for two gneiss granite samples respectively,which represent the formation age of the granite.This is the first discovery of the Early Ordovician magmatism in the Yarlung Zangbo junction zone.The rocks are high-K calcic-alkalic granite,contain tourmaline but not hornblende,with aluminum saturation index(ASI) of A/CNK>1.1(1.10–1.20),and are enriched in Rb,Th and U and relatively depleted in Ba,Nb,Sr,Zr,Ti and Eu.They are strongly peraluminous S-type granite,resulting from partial melting of argillaceous components in the crust in a syn-collisional setting.According to previous studies as well as the analysis in this paper,the formation of the Xarru granite is probably related to the Andean-type orogeny in the process of subduction of the Proto-Tethys Ocean towards the Gondwanaland,and it is a product of partial melting of the thickened upper crust as a result of collision between blocks or micro-blocks in the northern margin of the Gondwana supercontinent in the process of oceanic subduction.The Xarru granite is identified as the Early Ordovician granite,indicating that the wall rocks had probably formed in the Cambrian or Precambrian.A crustal basement may exist in the Xarru region.ZHANG ShiZhen LI FenQi LI Yong LIU Wei QIN YaDong 2014Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,4:9

17PdAg bimetallic electrocatalyst for highly selective reduction of CO2 with low COOH^* formation energy and facile CO desorption显示文摘For electrocatalytic reduction of CO2 to CO,the stabilization of intermediate COOH^* and the desorption of CO^* are two key steps.Pd can easily stabilize COOH^*,whereas the strong CO^* binding to Pd surface results in severe poisoning,thus lowering catalytic activity and stability for CO2 reduction.On Ag surface,CO^* desorbs readily,while COOH^* requires a relatively high formation energy,leading to a high overpotential.In light of the above issues,we successfully designed the PdAg bimetallic catalyst to circumvent the drawbacks of sole Pd and Ag.The PdAg catalyst with Ag-terminated surface not only shows a much lower overpotential(-0.55 V with CO current density of 1 mA/cm^2)than Ag(−0.76 V),but also delivers a CO/H2 ratio 18 times as high as that for Pd at the potential of-0.75 V vs.RHE.The issue of CO poisoning is significantly alleviated on Ag-terminated PdAg surface,with the stability well retained after 4h electrolysis at-0.75 V vs.RHE.Density functional theory(DFT)calculations reveal that the Ag-terminated PdAg surface features a lowered formation energy for COOH^* and weakened adsorption for CO^*,which both contribute to the enhanced performance for CO2 reduction.Rui Lin Xuelu Ma Weng-Chon Cheong Chao Zhang Wei Zhu Jiajing Pei Kaiyue Zhang Bin Wang Shiyou Liang Yuxi Liu Zhongbin Zhuang Rong Yu Hai Xiao Jun Li Dingsheng Wang Qing Peng Chen Chen Yadong Li 2019Nano Research2019,12,11:7
18Microbial Characterization of Denitrifying Sulfide Removal Sludge Using High-Throughput Amplicon Sequencing Method显示文摘The denitrifying sulfide removal(DSR) process has recently been studied extensively from an engineering perspective. However, the importance of microbial communities of this process was generally underestimated. In this study, the microbial community structure of a lab-scale DSR reactor was characterized in order to provide a comprehensive insight into the key microbial groups in DSR system. Results from high-throughput sequencing analysis revealed that the fraction of autotrophic denitrifiers increased from 2.34 % to 10.93% and 44.51% in the DSR system when the influent Na Cl increased from 0 g/L, to 4 g/L and 30 g/L, respectively. On the contrary, the fraction of heterotrophic denitrifiers decreased from 61.74% to 39.57%, and 24.12%, respectively. Azoarcus and Thiobacillus were the main autotrophic denitrifiers, and Thauera was the main hetetrophic denitrifier during the whole process. 20Design and simulation of an integrated end-effector for picking kiwifruit by robot显示文摘The harvesting of fresh kiwifruit is a labor-intensive operation that accounts for more than 25%of annual production costs.Mechanized harvesting technologies are thus being developed to reduce labor requirements for harvesting kiwifruit.To improve the efficiency of a harvesting robot for picking kiwifruit,we designed an end-effector,which we report herein along with the results of tests to verify its operation.By using the established method of automated picking discussed in the literature and which is based on the characteristics of kiwifruit,we propose an automated method to pick kiwifruit that consists of separating the fruit from its stem on the tree.This method is experimentally verified by using it to pick clustered kiwifruit in a scaffolding canopy cultivation.In the experiment,the end-effector approaches a fruit from below and then envelops and grabs it with two bionic fingers.The fingers are then bent to separate the fruit from its stem.The grabbing,picking,and unloading processes are integrated,with automated picking and unloading performed using a connecting rod linkage following a trajectory model.The trajectory was analyzed and validated by using a simulation implemented in the software Automatic Dynamic Analysis of Mechanical Systems(ADAMS).In addition,a prototype of an end-effector was constructed,and its bionic fingers were equipped with fiber sensors to detect the best position for grabbing the kiwifruit and pressure sensors to ensure that the damage threshold was respected while picking.Tolerances for size and shape were incorporated by following a trajectory groove from grabbing and picking to unloading.The end-effector separates clustered kiwifruit and automatically grabs individual fruits.It takes on average 4–5 s to pick a single fruit,with a successful picking rate of 94.2%in an orchard test featuring 240 samples.This study shows the grabbing–picking–unloading robotic end-effector has significant potential to facilitate the harvesting of kiwifruit.Longtao Mu Gongpei Cui Yadong Liu Yongjie Cui Longsheng Fu Yoshinori Gejima 2020Information Processing in Agriculture2020,7,1:6
