1Multiple genetic alterations and behavior of cellular biology in gastric cancer and other gastric mucosal lesions:H.pylori infection,histological types and staging显示文摘AIM To investigate the expression of multiplegenes and the behavior of cellular biology ingastric cancer(GC)and other gastric mucosallesions and their relations to Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)infection,tumor staging andhistological subtypes.METHODS Three hundred and twenty-sevenspecimens of gastric mucosa obtained viaendoscopy or surgical resection,and ABCimmunohistochemical staining were used todetect the expression of p53,p16,Bcl-2 andCOX-2 proteins.H.pylori was determined byrapid urea test combined with pathologicalstaining or14C urea breath test.Cellular image analysis was performed in 66 patients withintestinal metaplasia(IM)and/or dysplasia(Dys).In 30 of them,both cancer and theparacancerous tissues were obtained at the timeof surgery.Histological pattern,tumor staging,lymph node metastasis,grading ofdifferentiation and other clinical data werestudied in the medical records.RESULTS p16 expression of IM or Dys wassignificantly lower in positive H.pylori chronicatrophic gastritis(CAG)than those withnegative H.pylori(CAG:54.8% vs 88.0%,IM:34.4% vs 69.6%,Dys:23.8% vs 53.6%,allP<0.05),Bcl-2 or COX-2 expression of IM orDys in positive H.pylori cases was significantlyhigher than that without H.pylori(Bcl-2:68.8%vs23.9%,90.5% vs 60.7%;COX-2:50.0% vs10.8%,61.8% vs 17.8%;all P<0.05).Themean number of most parameters of cellularimage analysis in positive H.pylori group wassignificantly higher than that in negative H.pylori group(Ellipser:53±14,40±12μm,Area1:748±572,302±202 μm2,Area2:3050±1661,1681±1990 μm2,all P<0.05;Ellipseb:79±23,58±15 μm,Ratio1:22%±5%,13%±4%,Ratio2:79%±17%,53%±20%,all P<0.01).There was significant correlation between Bcl-2and histologic pattern of gastric carcinoma,andbetween COX-2 and tumor staging or lymph nodemetastasis(Bcl-2:75.0% vs 16.7%;COX-2:76.0% vs 20.0%,79.2% vs 16.7%;allP<0.05).CONCLUSION p1l6, Bcl-2, and COX-2 but not p53 gene may play a role in the early genesis/ progression of gastric carcinoma and are associated with H. pylori infection. p53 gene is relatively late event in gastric tumorigenesis and mainly relates to its progression. There is more cellular-biological behavior of malignant tumor in gastric mucosal lesions with H. pylori infection. Aberrant Bcl-2 protein expression appears to be preferentially associated with the intestinal type cancer. 2Modeling of Microstructure Evolution in 22MnB5 Steel during Hot Stamping显示文摘Automobile manufacturers have been increasingly adopting hot-stamped parts for use in newly designed vehicles to improve crash worthiness and fuel efficiency.However,the simulation of hot stamping is rather complex and challenging,and further research still needs to be done on hot stamping hardening mechanism.The microstructure evolution and hardening mechanisms during hot stamping of 22MnB5steel were thoroughly investigated,using information provided in the literatures as well as experimental results.New models were developed to predict the grain growth during heating and the flow stress of a manganese boron steel(22MnB5)with high hardenability by the Gleeble simulation experimental results.The deformed austenite decomposition during stamping and quenching was emphatically quantified based on the transformation thermodynamic and kinetic theories,and the relationship of microstructure to properties was analyzed.The results showed that the optimal process to obtain homogeneous and small lath martensite is heating at 900-950℃for 5min and then quenching at 50℃/s with a pressing time about 8s.Li-juan ZHU Zheng-wei GU Hong XU Yi L Jiang CHAO 2014Journal of Iron and Steel Research(International)2014,21,2:10

5VEGF-specific siRNAs modified with 2′-deoxy effectively suppress VEGF expression and inhibit growth of nasopharyngeal carcinoma xenograft in a mouse model显示文摘Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is up-regulated in the vast majority of human tumors. The up-regulation of VEGF not only plays important roles in tumor angiogenesis, but also provides a target for tumor treatment with small interfering RNA (siRNA) that targets VEGF; however, it is unclear whether a quite high up-regulation of VEGF will affect the efficiency of RNA interference strategies targeting VEGF. A high level expression of VEGF was found in CNE cells from a nasopharyngeal carcinoma cell line. In this study, we investigate whether VEGF-specific siRNAs can effectively suppress VEGF expression in CNE cells, and study the methods for the use of VEGF-specific siRNAs as potential therapeutic agents. CNE cells with high VEGF expression induced by hypoxia were transfected with VEGF-specific siRNAs. The expression of VEGF was effectively suppressed by VEGF-specific siRNAs, measured by ELISA, Western blot analysis and RT-PCR. Furthermore, experiments in nude mice bearing nasopharyngeal carcinoma xenograft were initiated 5 d after injection of CNE cells. VEGF-specific siRNAs were modified with 2′-deoxy, then injected into the tumors, and a liposome-mediated siRNA transfection system and ultrasound exposure were used to help delivery of the siRNAs. Tumor growth was reduced significantly after 3 weeks' treatment. 8Identifying topologies and system parameters of uncertaintime-varying delayed complex networks显示文摘Node dynamics and network topologies play vital roles in determining the network features and network dynamical behaviors.Thus it is of great theoretical significance and practical value to recover the topology structures and system parameters of uncertain complex networks with available information. This paper presents an adaptive anticipatory synchronization-based approach to identify the unknown system parameters and network topological structures of uncertain time-varying delayed complex networks in the presence of noise. Moreover, during the identification process, our proposed scheme guarantees anticipatory synchronization between the uncertain drive and constructed auxiliary response network simultaneously. Particularly, our method can be extended to several special cases. Furthermore, numerical simulations are provided to verify the effectiveness and applicability of our method for reconstructing network topologies and node parameters. 12Core muscle functional strength training for reducing the risk of low back pain in military recruits:An open-label randomized controlled trial显示文摘Background:Core muscle functional strength training(CMFST)has been reported to reduce injuries to the lower extremity.However,no study has confirmed whether CMFST can reduce the risk of low back pain(LBP).Objective:This study identified the effects of CMFST on the incidence of LBP in military recruits.Design,setting,participants and intervention:We performed a prospective,open-label,randomized,controlled study in a population of young healthy male naval recruits from a Chinese basic combat training program.Participants were randomly assigned to either the core group or the control group.In additional to normal basic combat training,recruits in the core group underwent a CMFST program for 12 weeks,while recruits in the control group received no extra training.Main outcome measures:At the beginning of the study and at the 12 th week,the number of participants with LBP was counted,and lumbar muscle endurance was measured.In addition,when participants complained of LBP,they were assessed using the visual analog scale(VAS)and Roland Morris Disability Questionnaire(RMDQ).Results:A total of 588 participants were included in the final analysis(295 in the core group and 293 in the control group).The incidence of LBP in the control group was about twice that of the core group over the 12-week study(20.8%vs 10.8%,odds ratio:2.161–2.159,P<0.001).The core group had better lumbar muscle endurance at 12 weeks than the control group([200.80±92.98]s vs[147.00±84.51]s,P<0.01).There was no significant difference in VAS score between groups,but the core group had a significantly lower RMDQ score at week 12 than the control group(3.33±0.58 vs 5.47±4.41,P<0.05).Conclusion:This study demonstrated that the CMFST effectively reduced the incidence of LBP,improved lumbar muscle endurance,and relieved the dysfunction of LBP during basic military training.Xin Wang Wen-juan Song Yi Ruan Bing-chu Li Can Lü Nian Huang Fan-fu Fang Wei Gu 2022Journal of Integrative Medicine2022,20,2:3
13TanSat Mission Achievements: from Scientific Driving to Preliminary Observations显示文摘The Chinese global carbon dioxide monitoring satellite(TanSat)was successfully launched in December 2016 and has completed its on-orbit tests and calibration.TanSat aims to measure the atmospheric Carbon Dioxide column-averaged dry air mole fractions(X_(CO_2))with a precision of 4 ppm at the regional scale,and further to derive the CO_2 global and regional fluxes.Progress toward these objectives is reviewed and the first scientific results from TanSat measurements are presented.During the design phase,Observation System Simulation Experiments(OSSE)on TanSat measurements performed prior to launch measurements using a nadir and a glint alternative mode when considering the balance of stable measurements and reduces the flux uncertainty(64%).The constellation measurements of two satellites indicate an extra 10%improvement in flux inversion if the satellite measurements have no bias and similar precision.The TanSat on-orbit test indicates that the instrument is stable and beginning to produce X_(CO_2)products.The preliminary TanSat measurements have been validated with Total Carbon Column Observing Network(TCCON)measurements and have inter-compared with OCO-2 measurements in an overlap measurement.LIU Yi WANG Jing YAO Lu CHEN Xi CAI Zhaonan YANG Dongxu YIN Zengshan GU Songyan TIAN Longfei LU Naimeng L Daren 2018空间科学学报2018,38,5:2
14Berberine derivatives with a long alkyl chain branched by hydroxyl group and methoxycarbonyl group at 9-position show improved anti-proliferation activity and membrane permeability in A549 cells显示文摘Berberine(BBR)exhibits diverse bioactivities,including anticancer activity;but its poor druggability limits its applications.In this study,we designed and synthesized a series of 9-0 position modified BBR derivatives aiming to improve its cell permeability and anticancer activity,utilizing a long alkyl chain branched by hydroxyl group and methoxycarbonyl group.Among these compounds,B10 showed 3.6-fold higher intracellular concentration than BBR,as well as 60-fold increased anti-proliferation activity against human lung cancer A549 cells compared with BBR,Treatment with B10(1,2μM)induced apoptosis of A549 cells.Further investigations showed that B10 treatment dose-dependently affected mitochondrial functions,including oxygen consumption rate(OCR),mitochondrial membrane potential(MMP)and the morphology of mitochondria in A549 cells.Therefore,this work offers a new way for BBR structural modification through improving cell membrane permeability to affect mitochondrial functions and potential anti-tumor therapy in the future.Yi Liu Ke-xin Zhu Lei Cao Zhi-fu Xie Min Gu Wei Lü Jing-ya Li Fa-jun Nan 2020Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2020,41,6:2

17Effect of Contact Pressure during Quenching on Microstructures and Mechanical Properties of Hot-stamping Parts显示文摘An experimental apparatus with cooling system and pressure-adjustment assembly for simulating quenching was constructed to investigate the effect of contact pressure on the microstructures and mechanical properties of hotstamping parts.Qualitative and quantitative analyses of the microstructures of the as-quenched parts were conducted;moreover,hardness and tensile tests were performed to measure their mechanical properties.The results indicated that contact pressure during quenching strongly affected the structures and performances of hot-stamping components.An excessive low contact pressure led to insufficient martensitic transformation.The critical contact pressure for complete martensitic transformation for 4.0mm 22MnB5 steel was 0.4MPa when the temperature of the coolant was 20 ℃.However,in consideration of the efficiency of practical production,a contact pressure higher than 1.25 MPa is recommended.Zheng-wei GU Meng-meng L Guan-han LU Xin LI Hong XU 2015Journal of Iron and Steel Research(International)2015,22,12:2

19Sierpiński-triangle fractal crystals with the C_(3v)point group显示文摘Self-similar fractals are of importance in both science and engineering. Metal-organic Sierpin′ ski triangles are particularly attractive for applications in gas separation, catalysis and sensing. Such fractals are constructed in this study by using 1208 V-shaped 4,400-dicyano-1,10:30,100-terphenyl molecules and Fe atoms on Au(1 1 1), and studied in detail by low-temperature scanning tunneling microscopy. Density functional theory calculations are employed to rationalize the invisible Fe atoms in STM images.
