1Meta-optics and bound states in the continuum显示文摘We discuss the recent advances in meta-optics and nanophotonics associated with the physics of bound states in the continuum(BICs). Such resonant states appear due to a strong coupling between leaky modes in optical guiding structures being supported by subwavelength high-index dielectric Mieresonant nanoantennas or all-dielectric metasurfaces. First, we review briefly very recent developments in the BIC physics in application to isolated subwavelength particles. We pay a special attention to novel opportunities for nonlinear nanophotonics due to the large field enhancement inside the particle volume creating the resonant states with high-quality(high-Q) factors, the so-called quasi-BIC, that can be supported by the subwavelength particles. Second, we discuss novel applications of the BIC physics to alldielectric optical metasurfaces with broken-symmetry meta-atoms when tuning to the BIC conditions allows to enhance substantially the Q factor of the flat-optics dielectric structures. We also present the original results on nonlinear high-Q metasurfaces and predict that the frequency conversion efficiency can be boosted dramatically by smart engineering of the asymmetry parameter of dielectric metasurfaces in the vicinity of the quasi-BIC regime.Kirill Koshelev Andrey Bogdanov Yuri Kivshar 2019Science Bulletin2019,64,12:11
2Holographic planar lightwave circuit for on-chip spectroscopy显示文摘Computer-generated planar holograms are a powerful approach for designing planar lightwave circuits with unique properties.Digital planar holograms in particular can encode any optical transfer function with high customizability and is compatible with semiconductor lithography techniques and nanoimprint lithography.Here,we demonstrate that the integration of multiple holograms on a single device increases the overall spectral range of the spectrometer and offsets any performance decrement resulting from miniaturization.The validation of a high-resolution spectrometer-on-chip based on digital planar holograms shows performance comparable with that of a macrospectrometer.While maintaining the total device footprint below 2 cm2,the newly developed spectrometer achieved a spectral resolution of 0.15 nm in the red and near infrared range,over a 148 nm spectral range and 926 channels.This approach lays the groundwork for future on-chip spectroscopy and lab-on-chip sensing.Giuseppe Calafiore Alexander Koshelev Scott Dhuey Alexander Goltsov Pavel Sasorov Sergey Babin Vladimir Yankov Stefano Cabrini Christophe Peroz 2014Light(Science & Applications)2014,3,1:3
